Title: A bug on Android Electrum 4.4.3
Post by: _act_ on May 13, 2023, 05:58:30 PM
I want to create a standard wallet, I was not able to do that. Electrum generated me seed phrase, I wrote it down on a paper for me to proceed, I proceeded and write it on Electrum but I was not able to press on finish.

I went back and use I already have a seed instead, I wrote the seed phrase and I was able to press finish and it was successful.

The bug is that I was not able to proceed directly but I used I already have a seed to import the seed phrase. This can confuse newbies.

It was on Android Electrum.

It's not a bug.
If you already created a set of Electrum seed then you don't need to finish the procedure before completing the wallet. You can restore the wallet associated with the seed set anytime.

I guess I did not misunderstand your case with the wallet.

I tried to create a new wallet but in my case, it's working fine for me I don't know how did you type your seed but all I did is manually type them and I do not use the suggested words on the top when typing the seed phrases and after that the gray-out finish button now able to click.

You need to try again if it has extra space the finish button is grayed out.

OP is right.
The problem is that when you use suggested words instead of typing the words completely, it adds an space at the end of the words.
If you type the last word manually, you will be able to select "finish".
If you use the suggested word when entering the last word, you will need to tap on "back" button, so that the extra space is deleted. After that, you can select "finish".

When you select "I already have a seed" and then enter your seed phrase, it works fine even if you enter the last word using suggested words.

You might have mistyped a letter or some letters the first time you tried.
At least one typographic error will render the seed phrase invalid that will make the 'next' button unclickable.

This was when Android Electrum generated the seed phrase for me

This was when I proceeded and it did not work

This was when I went back to use I already have a seed and it worked.

I do not have bitcoin on the wallet and I have deleted it to generate another one because I exposed the seed phrase.

hosseinimr93 talked about it correctly. I hope this would be corrected in the next update because it can confuse some people.

I did not experience any obstacles when making a bitcoin address in the Android version of the Electrum wallet.
12 Words of Seed that I Click Check on the Extend Seed With Custom Words option and enter 12 words by pressing the space button after word by word I type and can immediately go to the next stage so that I managed to get the standard wallet address.
