If I might add to all Cantsay has said, that would be to try and be participatory here, develop a thick skin when criticism comes, because if you're not willing to be patient to learn so you can grow on here, criticisms can make you run for the hills! Hehe, I'm just kidding. But the point is try to adhere to the rules he dropped a link to and you'd grow, provided you also make quality posts and are not in a hurry to increase in ranks just so you can join a sig campaign cause it could put a damper when the merits aren't forthcoming.

Visit meta and beginners and help and read the pinned or sticky threads that are there. From there you will understand more about this forum and also about bitcoin wallet. You will also read some online papers, but be careful because not everything that is online are true or completely true.

Read and follow the rules pinned on every board. Stay active and avoid joining any bounty campaign untill you rank up to Full Member. If you are good on any topic then start a thread on the respective board and write engaging content. Getting to succeed here is not that tough if you know the path.

Good advice op, but i think newbies are not aware of the Sig campaigns because when I was new here i was only interested in joining Bounty campaigns, and i always thought why these guys are putting these images, i never thought to join the Sig campaign because i thought its a work for high-class members and only the owners of this forum could hire those. (haha), well at the start i did not read many threads so, i had many wrong ideas about working on this forum.

The point is, this forum becomes fun for those who try to learn from it while enjoying the new ideas and opinions of many members, but it will become a burden and boring for those who just want to earn money by writing meaningless content. (well, i should change the topic as it is not related to OP's one).

For op, Cantsay has already shared some useful links, but let me clarify some for you in a short summary.

• You can increase your rank here like currently you are a newbie but you can take it to Full member, or At any rank.
• You should familiarize yourself with the trust system.
• You should interact with conversations and share your ideas, never be afraid to share ideas that you doubt might be wrong to some extent. because nothing can be 100% sure so keep learning by sharing undoubtful information. But do not do this intentionally.

Now, it depends on the OP, to which way, he/she wants to interact with this forum which basically is all about cryptocurrency.

I saw myself. I also came here because of the bounty, and I didn't understand why people write so much while others "work". Yes, I then thought that bounty was a job, and I didn’t go to any other sections at all. But it's good that I realized in time that I was going the wrong way.
OP, this is a forum primarily intended to communicate and discuss topics about cryptocurrencies. Many come here with financial motivation, but this is only an addition to the fact that here you can get very good knowledge, which will soon come in handy in many areas.
So take the time to read, discuss, and maybe share what you know and do. The forum will be friendly to you. You can’t even imagine how you can understand from the texts of people how interested they are in knowledge or, on the contrary, see slyness and falsehood.

OMG, i just cannot believe that you are also involved in bounties. it must be a good story to listen of how did you shift your interests from bounties to interaction with members in topics. As, for me, my story is very short, i started to take an interest in Article Campaigns, and when my first article got accepted and it awarded me huge money. I was like on the moon (hehe). And then i started to take participation in article campaigns and after that, i came to know about local boards and found that there is my country too here.

So, after writing some posts there, i found it interesting as my own people (which means people from the same country) are here. which really motivated me and the story doesn't finish here. Now, i am working as a Content writer (as a freelancer), how did i get into this field? from writing posts on here. And yet i am still a pro learner and trying to achieve more skills. Now i think i can write any article related to the crypto field and i have found my niche (which is the most difficult task for everyone in the Content writing field).

Like interacting in real life that there are things that must be considered so that we can be well received in the surrounding environment and there are things that must be avoided so that they don't hate us.

Personally I don't think newbies should pay much attention on Trust system in early days. If they are here as newbies to learn, they should firstly focus on forum rules, learning knowledge about Bitcoin, practicing with wallets, addresses. As newbies, I don't think they will abruptly involve in trading with other members.

Here is a discussion forum just like so many other discussion forums you will see online, but the difference is the major thing that is being discussed here is Bitcoin and for you to fit into the conversation that happens here, you need a good knowledge of Bitcoin. When you have the good knowledge of Bitcoin, you can join any type of conversation in any board and by so doing, you will enjoy your stay in this forum and you will have a tremendous growth.

Many people have sent you a links were you can learn about bitcoin. I will advise you to used them so that you will not lack information to discuss in the forum. There's no more thing, here is a forum and not a company or an association.

Personally i think it is important for a newbie to get familiarize with Trust system if he/she wants to be succeed on this platform. You said, it is not and crypto knowledge is important but as the op's intentions are related to succeed on this platform not in crypto sphere. No doubt knowledge of crypto industry is as necassary as water for life, to stay successful on this forum but trust system is also as necassary.

Like, what if the OP didn't know about negative feedback (trust) and fall prey to that scammer who already been tagged as red (negative). So, to be successful and to stay on this platform for longer period of time, it is necassary for everyone to get familiar with trust feedback, trust list and trust depth.

I have seen many newbies make mistakes that cost them their accounts, some abandon their account because they don’t seem to be getting merits. My advice to you is don’t be in a haste, build your account slowly…merits and ranks are things you will surely achieve if you’re committed. Find your interests in the forum and grow it.

The rules of the forum are very important and you will find them almost everywhere in the forum. These laws are not codified in a single document but they can be found in different posts in this forum. They are usually the pinned posts you see at the top of every section. Meta and Reputation also contain different case examples of the application of these laws. Also, avoid scam projects or never engage in fraudulent activities. Don't plagiarize and didn't you chatGPT or other bots to make posts, they can lead to your ban from the forum. If you intend to learn about Bitcoin and others, you will find this forum very useful.

This is a very good advice but the idea of merit system and ranking should not be discussed with newbies. It is the reason majority of them are desperate to earn merit and thereby committing one offense or the other such as shit posting, spamming, merit trading or plagiarism. No one will see a way to earn and ignore but if they don't know the importance of earning merits and its uses, they will not be in haste to earn and will focus on learning.

It's worrisome how everyone is desperate to build account purposely to earn money with it. Baffling how even the newly created account enquire about how to earn merit.

Reading all through your comments gives me courage, I can see from the link you guys dropped that there are rules too, and I will take time to explore the forum more in order not to get myself into going against the rules.

Welcome to the forum. Good to see that you stayed back to read the comments and advises that have been given to you by members of the forum this alone shows how eager you are to learn. Just to add to what you already know, the forum is not a difficult place to be so feel free and explore even as you focus on learning to increase your knowledge before rendering your contribution.The rules are very simple here and I think anyone without a cheating mindset will not find it difficult to keep to the rules.

You will be corrected when you are wrong but I have you don't get offended when you are corrected because the corrections may come in different ways but it will be left for you to decide what you think of them, enjoy your stay here and don't forget why you are here.

Ofcourse you are on the right place OP and welcome to bitcointalk platform. As a new bie you are, you will have to go by the forum policies so as to sustain your presence here and from the looks, there are lots of link already dropped here for you to peruse. I think it would be of great help to you OP if you follow up with them.

Local board do exist here for your information. You are free to check for your local board where you can easily communicate with your fellow country men and women so as to gain more knowledge when you ask questions. This would serve you better because communication is on the ordinary levels for all the local thread members.

Welcome to BTT community. Since you are able to open this topic here, I think your initial work is complete here, I mean to open a topic means to open an avenue to gain knowledge. Because if I talk about my first time then I used to see many things in this forum but most of the things were not understood by me. Then when I was able to open the topic then every thing I got to know by asking through my post or opening the topic.
Mainly you have to explore the forum, there are different sections in the forum, you have to spend time and then you ask the things that you don't understand by creating topic like this. And I am sure that you will be get the info from the members.
Another main thing is that you know what subject you are good at or what skill you have inside, then develop yourself in the forum about that subject. Learn the things you don't know and share the things you know.

This is actually good to see a newbie coming back to its threads; this shows that you are open to learning. A lot of others create threads, drop questions, and never remember to revisit the thread to see if their problems have been settled or not.

The forum is a very friendly place. Adding to what others have said, I will say that you should just be yourself on the forum and choose the board where you think will suit you the most. If you want to learn about trading, there are boards for that. Everything you need is just around the forum; you just need to explore it.

After abandoning the thread, some newbies got banned because of violating the rules where they didn't even made some effort to make research and knowing the forum rules. If op is like that then I think OP's rank will increase in the future and gain merits. It's hard to find a newbie like that where tbey really did read the replies from other forum members that is higher in rank. Well, we all came from being a newbie untill what rank each every one of us reach.

Don’t know if I’ve said this to anyone before but, when you say succeed here, you seem to be limiting yourself to the forum from my interpretation but, the whole idea of here is so that, you could better yourself in the real life.

If you could be better in real life, your physical reflection would be observed on the forum but that means, bitcoin has got to be your thing or should I say, cryptocurrency.

I also one of the users that were naive about how things work on this forum when I first join forum because I was here due to altcoin which make me start my crypto journey but the sad part is that I thought is that there are fees to be paid before being signature campaign manager and they also have some weekly payment they paid to the forum mods.
Having said that, I think the mastering of Bitcoin, etc is still broad for the OP and I will advise her to start by understanding the forum rules and regulations,  BTC wallet, and transactions.

Everything you can get depends on the purpose of joining here and how strong you are among people who always criticize all the mistakes you make. 1. Keep Patience and Stay Actively: In this Forum no one have been succeed in a night. At the end of the day many potential users have fallen down because they wanted to grow earlier. And only the users who have patience are being successful. I also faced this issue and recover myself again and again.

2. Be Logical and Constructive: Making posts which is meaningless will not make your posts constructive and there will be no contribution. So always be logical when you discuss anything and share your real thoughts.

3. Learn Before Teach: You have shared that you are learning about how things work here. The more you will learn the more you will be valuable and your posts too. Don't advise someone when you have a little knowledge about the topic. If you want to join the discussion then do some research before putting your opinion.

4. Never Violate Rules Here: You can't grow if you only contribute and help others but you don't conscious about the forum rules because you can break anyone. So why you will do this mistake. So far with all I have seen and learnt from this forum, it will be hard for any newbie who has the mind to learn and start a success story in crypto world to hardly  survive. The forum is filled with lots of vital information about crypto and especially bitcoin from where it all began and even all the journey so far, the basic essence of you having some crypto in your portfolio.

Consistency, if you really want to learn and into earn in Bitcoin even though takes time consumes go for it, newbies in crypto makes an investment asap because they afraid of getting late white the hype, but the problem is they don't even have the fundamentals at the end they keep looking at the price of the bitcoin every day, gets frustrated when the market down and pulled their investment at the back and the worst case is the quit but if you are one of the knowledgeable and prepared how does the bitcoin work you don't need to get anxious Every time market moves.

Seems other members have given to you already what are the things you need to take a look, I recommend visiting the beginners and help often because this board always raise up a concern by other members have trouble, question, doubts, or knowledge about sharing with everyone and this benefits a lot not only to us but to you too as a newbie. Another thing is to keep aware of the rules and stay away from the people who will grab the chance to scam you because you are a newbie. Grab to learn and share of course its the essence of the forum.

What you just need to succeed here is for you to know about the forum by reading the rules, knowing the  rules  will make you  to  do things right and to have more understanding what the forum is expected from you. That's about 2 years and I will gladly share some advice with you. There is a parable that says, to what you have more shall be added. What does this mean in crypto lingua? The more learn about bitcoin and cryptocurrency, the know you'll know about them. I also think that this is proportional to the amount of time you spend studying and the quality of the material you study.

The beauty of this forum is that you can be sure that whatever question you bring to the forum you will get top tier quality replies. I don't need to tell you about abiding by the rules on the forum so as to avoid getting kicked out. You should already know that.

What is difficult to apply to be consistent is how to be patient when the market is not good and psychology continues to be played, and how to be disciplined and follow the strategy that has been made. When you are not disciplined the strategy will not work well and everything will be chaotic. eventually panic will arise which makes trading not work well.

You are correct sir, being consistent is another key factor to knowing how serious and committed one is to doing something. It shows one's eagerness and willingness to learn. If you check, most people who achieved great heights always say something of being consistent and that has guide them through to achieving success and they tell it as part of their success story and it takes a committed and focused person to be consistent in learning. So I must say, anyone who is thinking if learning about bitcoin must be committed and have that passion and drive to learn only then would one learn it properly and gain more knowledge and experience on it.

This style of question that is repeated every so often in this forum, especially in this section, it is curious that I have only seen it in this forum out of all the forums I have participated in, of which there are about ten. If you are interested in something on a forum, cryptocurrencies, poker, motorcycles, etc. what you do is put your energies into learning on the forum, not asking how to succeed in the forum.

That is, for example, in a poker forum there may be similar questions but they are focused on how to succeed in poker, not in the poker forum. I think the key here is in the economic aspect, in a poker forum people learn to earn money outside the forum, playing poker, while here there are tons of people whose main source of income with cryptocurrencies is the forum itself. That's why they want to succeed here.

Succeed here? here in this forum? my assumption you're want to get the highest rank, so you need to be active in this forum at least 2 years and half with minimum of earned 1000 merits.

If you want to be succeed in cryptocurrency, all you need is to learn how to secure your device, use non custodial wallet, only invest in Bitcoin, use DEX and avoid clicking any random link or participating airdrop/giveaway.

You are right on this mate. This aspect is where many people really have no clues about. I myself have had that experience but atleast I was very cautious when I engaged it as I was curious to know what was the outcome and possibly noticing what the process was like.

Lots of hack and scam have taken place as a result of these miserable random links sent to  people's email which they have no idea about. Many would have been able to avert it but are not aware  that some of those random links are sent with malware's to corrupt and steal their details with which the scammers would use to steal from them. It is unfortunate that up to this moment some people are still falling victim of these nefarious act.

I think people should start marking email domain as junk so that anything coming from that host should go directly to the junk box and not treated as serious and important.

You can also create important and informative posts here, which will increase your merit. With an increase in merit your rank then also increase.

Well, it's better to choose one of the many alternatives available. The trick with getting around is to read the pinned threads on most of the boards we get to visit as they offer guidance  or a road map of getting around the forum, if not sure it's okay to ask !

Also reading more of the conversations happening in different  threads & boards and commenting less as you get to familiarize yourself with the forum will prevent you from getting to cross any red tape and should give you the blueprint of how things are done here, goodluck.

It all depends on what true goal you are pursuing by registering on the forum. If you set a goal for yourself to learn more about bitcoin and trading, then with proper diligence, you will get this knowledge. If as you have decided that you can earn money, then without completing the first part, you will not succeed.

Welcome to the forum mate! No pressure here in the forum you could pretty much do whatever you want just make sure that you don't have any rules of the forum to avoid getting banned. Most of the things that you needed, knowledge about cryptocurrency and Bitcoin is already here in the forum, you just need to find it here or you could do your own topic ask question, etc. If your active your probably going to rank up and earn a good reputation but you don't need to worry about that.

For me the best first thing that you could do is to start in cryptocurrency already start investing in cryptocurrency or Bitcoin, starting your journey on cryptocurrency could help you understand a lot and the forum could easily guide you to what you wanted to know about cryptocurrency when I first started my journey on cryptocurrency I've read a lot of topics that is related to what I'm planning or I ask a lot of question about investing, is this a great buy? or is it a good time to invest? something like that.
