Title: How difficult life would have been without Cryptocurrency awareness in Nigeria
Post by: Salahmu on July 01, 2023, 09:48:16 PM
I use to think about how difficult things would have been for us as a Nigerians if there was no Cryptocurrency, considering how difficult it is to get a well paid job, I wonder what would have become of us, but with the help of Cryptocurrency  things became  more easy with many ways of making money through crypto as such most people now prefer online than working for someone. But Most times I use to imagine the way this country is moving, thousands and millions of unemployed youth, to even make the matter worst government doesn't even care about the welfare of the citizens, they does what they feel is right undermining if citizens are okay by it or not, There are millions people graduating everyday but no job.

Your life before you started crypto and now which one is better? Let's share our experience.

Usually we can't compares our past life to present with cryptocurrency because it offers a variety of opportunities and draw us more closer to wealth creations, cryptocurrency I believe it was a God sent to deliver us from the hardship of the devil leadership and as I know every youths who are one way connected to cryptocurrency or digital currency aren't to be much dependant of the white scholar (collar) job instead prefer doing task online to keep them afloat. This could be trading, advertisement or affiliates marketing or content creations (vbloging, and youtube video).

I am of different opinion to what you have said, to every circumstance, there will definitely be away of survival. Before the knowledge of Cryptocurrency, the country has been experiencing some hardship and people have lived and scale through. Since Cryptocurrency is not a get rich
quick scheme, it has not so much affected our living but gave us option to invest in a place where we can expect big return. Bitcoin halving happens every 4 years where history repeats itself which is always everyone's expectation to make a lot of profit. What do we say then, does the 4 years investment make everyone rich even when many do not have money to invest due to the country's economy situation.

Well I know bitcoins has come to stay, but we can be rational in our thinking. What happens if bitcoins does not exist until the next century, people alive as we speak now we definitely sought for a means of survival.

Those that can actually boast of bitcoins achievement are early adopters who enjoy the unlimited privilege of selling high, though there are still opportunity to new users.

Yeah I totally understand your point of view mate but I was not actually saying that there would be no survival if there was no Cryptocurrency in the country on the contrary the point I was trying to make was that through Cryptocurrency there was more opportunity for people to earn a living and from there establish themselves, I no is not everyone that made it through crypto but crypto has helped many. I no crypto is not a get rich quick scheme but most successful people started from there, also crypto did not just show us about trading but opens our eyes and understanding to see that there are other things you could do online that would help you.

A friend graduated from school over five years but there was nothing to show for it no job, he was introduced to crypto trading and he started getting something and from there he was able to establish himself in other area, so the survival of everyone in Nigeria Is not dependent on crypto but rather crypto has empowered many.

I use to think about how difficult things would have been for us as a Nigerians if there was no Cryptocurrency, considering how difficult it is to get a well paid job,

What kind of well-paying work are you referring to?

People were doing well before the arrival of bitcoin, and if we think about it, this cryptocurrency has exposed many Nigerians to fraud.

There are numerous sections in Nigeria where individuals are well paid for their services; hence, people were doing well even before the introduction of cryptocurrency; the only difference is that it has reduced the rate of people remaining unemployed because they can trade and do some labor to get paid.

The government don’t actually care about cryptocurrency because they are afraid of Nigerians to fall victims of scam since they know that people are using cryptocurrency means to scam.

We all know the risk involved with digital money but lets not forget about what has advantage also have disadvantage as well, so certainly there must be another way round the positive impact of bitcoin has greatly elevate us from hardship because at this hardened time of our country cryptocurrency tends to create a way of survival among the boys including we that are women are also finding our ways into cryptocurrency.
My little experience and stayed over here has really given me a lifting hands and to understand that bitcoin is real and people should venture into it.

It is difficult indeed to get a well paid job in Nigeria but that does not limit the fact that many people were still doing well before the awareness of bitcoin came to Nigeria. It was a means of creating more wealth for some people while some people took the advantage of it to lead them out of unemployment. Whatever the case maybe, it has undoubtedly helped and improved the well being of many Nigerians that have taken part in it and also help to reduce poverty level to some certain degree. In my opinion, bitcoin have added more value and positive impact to the Nigerians than attributing it to any negativity it must have been used for.

Not only crypto oh, but the opportunities which the internet brings has helped a whole lot of people living in poverty to make a good decent amount of money even in the absence of white collar job in this 21st century, which was never the same in the previous centuries. However, with the help of these 4 basic skills now, you could see an average Nigerian youth of age 18 to 30yrs living a better life that was mostly experienced by retired civil servants of age 50 to 60yrs after several years of hard work and investing, but crypto came and for those who could understand how the volatile nature of the market work were able to create such wealth in a year or two, which is the beauty ever experienced with the innovation of the internet.

This topic and the content e dey funny but there is element of truth. Before and aftermath of Bitcoin can not be the same. Before I know Bitcoin live was sad, though I was not that poor guy but I was not satisfying my needs but after when invested in Bitcoin late 2021 till now, my life have changed though it is not much but to some extent. For those who have known crypto and key into im, their lives are not remain the same again. Bitcoin has changed a lot of lives in we country.
Even at that there are some people who still dey sceptical about the technology. So orientation is still needed in Cryptocurrency in the country.

For every action, there must be a equal or opposite reaction. That's the exact case crypto is facing in Nigeria. Majority of our youths who claim to be crypto traders are nothing but into internet fraud while hide and disguise under crypto. Crypto has really helped a reasonable number of people out of poverty in this 21st century and as well as sent some to early grave due to carelessness in protecting their wallet.

Mind you, crypto should not be compared with white collar job. Being in crypto make you the boss of your own wealth and decides by yourself while you face the risk involved alone but civil servants are entitled to pension and gratuities after retirement despite the fact that their appointment can be terminated anytime their employer wishes.

For OP, just like everyone is saying, with or without crypto people will survive the hurdles. It's just a privilege and we should grab it while it lasts.

Life would not have been difficult without crypto in Nigeria. There are a thousand and one Nigerian youth who are making a lot of money everyday, month and year legally who are not into cryptocurrency. Have you heard of Amazon KDP, Forex trading, SEO specialist, virtual assistant, drop shipping, affiliate marketing, Copywriting, Facebook ad specialist just to name but a few? These side  gigs pay young Nigerians in hard currency. As you can see cryptocurrency is just one of the ways that made life a little bit easier for Nigerians but it is not the only way.

Every revolutionary tool such as the internet,  industrialization and digital financings like Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies have a trance generational impact on the life of the revolutionized,  but also note that not all Nigerians most especially youths are interested in cryptocurrencies and we still have low percentages of the general citizens unaware of what bitcoin is.

So for that,  we must have a clear standing before making assumptions on a general basis in discussions such as this,  there is no doubt that cryptocurrency has helped quite a lot of us most especially those who found this forum and constantly engage in the discussion that have helped to shape the understanding of Bitcoin /cryptocurrency including blockchain technologies.

Cryptocurrency impact could also mean different things to different members here.

Bitcoin directly and indirectly helped me. Bitcoin and some other cryptocurrencies helped Nigerians. Some people might have been poor if not for cryptocurrencies. There are many other ways to make money, but because of the existence of cryptocurrencies, some people are getting online jobs, even in areas you mentioned above, some people also invested. Although, we have to be very careful, because cryptocurrencies also make some people got scammed. As for trading, people should know that it is very risky.

Not everyone in the country is involved in cryptocurrency, and there are challenges associated with it, particularly regarding patience and long-term investment. It is disheartening to witness limited diversification of assets and businesses in Nigeria. The massive returns seen in cryptocurrency are not exclusive to Nigeria, as other countries have also experienced them. The key difference lies in the regulation and taxation policies. Personally, my main challenge is finding ways to securely store my cryptocurrency returns in my Dorm account, potentially through peer-to-peer (P2P) exchanges.

Awareness is one of the best means of advertising any business, especially when it comes to crypto a lot of  Nigerians had a lot of misconceptions about Bitcoin majority see it as a way of scamming people and even if Bitcoin has its own bad side when it comes to been liquidated and scam, but with awareness, they have a better knowledge on what the whole deal is, and a lot of us have taken it upon our self to improve the bitcoin ecosystem in Nigeria which is one of the best things I enjoy doing my self any opportunity I get I tell people to invest to enjoy in the future.

If you do your maths well and God favor you forget am na major block wey you go cashout from the market. We need to stop dey rely on the government. If na you wey get over 200 millions children, talk truth you go fit manage them. We need decentralized the politics for the country if we want the country to get head, each states take care of their problem and pay taxes to federal government.

No doubt about your point OP as it is audibly loud and visibly clear to everyone who has been a part of this platform long before now and those who just joined not quite too long that bitcoin has done more than what some government and politicians have done in our country. This platform has made many  from nothing to something and still counting. Waiting for government and white collar Job was not feasible but making out time todo  much research  and learn counts to more discovery.
In all, the Crypto currency awareness has done much in Nigeria and still needs more awareness campaign as there are still million and one person's ready to adopt it but have possibly not gotten the information about it properly.

Well, Crypto have help a lot and it has also sink a lot, I will say crypto is like betting, a lot of people are making it in betting and a lot of people are also sinking through it. Because most people see crypto as a Making money quick kind of thing like wise betting, and invest in it without having proper knowledge about it and end up losing the little funds with them. The thing is opportunity comes our way everyday being it online or offline but it depends on how smart you are to make use of it. So regardless cryptocurrency have bring a lot of youth out of the Mud, that is those that took their time and undergo proper research before investing.

Crypto is consider as gambling when it involves Nigerians. We should always know what's coming for us whenever we take actions, just be prepared to enrolled with the risks along because it's more dangerous than mere watching the market. The space is controlled by nobody but with the presence of top whales in the system, their single order can make the market move to the direction they pleases. Cryptocurrency is welcome and at the same time, not welcome because it have sent more people I can possibly think of to trenches.

Op your very correct, many will say there would have been a way out which is correct as well say that crypto has it negative side to as one may loose but the truth remains that this has shaping and elevated many especially those that discover this early and has course a shift in their financial life to something better than what it was before they engage on the crypto world. Two paramount things is always involved in everything the advantage and disadvantage of a thing in relation to crypto I know there is it's disadvantage but comparing the two the advantage is over weighing the disadvantage.

As long a one know that its not quick to get rich and apply wisdom play smart mist if the disadvantage is nearly and completely cut off when you invest wisely and also use the benefits of profit to do useful other investment that can generate and regenerate income, you will no recognize the disadvantage of crypto the pains comes when you failed to be smart knowing that it's actually a permanent job but only helping shift you in financial stressed which requires you to use one brain .

On the long run, let's appreciate the invention, existence of bitcoin relatively on its potentials to had been a flexible medium by which individuals who're either creative in entrepreneurships or non being innovative can just invests their funds on it with whatever affordable amount and do expect profits in due time. While we give those excited appreciations on bitcoin, let's foremost recognize and hail Satoshi Nakamoto for such level of his ideal to had made such development a technological financial source for payments and of course also as source of income.

To be realistic with life, without leaning all hope to bitcoin, I can say life has been fair in the absence of bitcoin but the introduction of bitcoin has made it better so, life would had still been fair for us if bitcoin never existed.
So I personally, I'm giving the credit of the better life we're today on technological developments potentially to resolving the challenges of the advanced world we're at the century because possible technological developments ahead of bitcoin could really be a promise to avail of coming through and that's why bitcoin developers are far fastening ahead to enhance better comfortable services and more conducive offers to human kind so that they could always stay at the top as long as cryptocurrencies is concerned in the technology events of digital currencies to reduce global economy inflations.

And While not being so ungrateful, bitcoin is acknowledged by me to be a great, lucrative technology with the service offers for source of payments and income which I can gladly say I got myself an employment by investing as I could afford and I'm making reliable source of  earnings out of it since the government doesn't care about my financial statusco which is the faith to my welfare.

Cryptocurrency has really helped the lives of a lot of youth in the country and without it a lot of people will be suffering at the moment probably will be waiting for a white collar job to locate them which would probably not happen.

Cryptocurrency has made things much easier in the country and i know that cryptocurrency is not to be seen as a job but a lot of youths have benefited from it and has taken it more like a job since they earn money from it and I don’t blame them for that. Without cryptocurrency this would definitely be a little tough and challenging for so many people and we would have seen more number of people ending up as yahoo boys or scammers since the Government doesn’t really care about its citizens so people go to any extent just to make money.

Though Bitcoin has helped many people in Nigeria but I don't think that life would have been that difficult without cryptocurrency, in Nigeria can we really outline the statistics of people that are into cryptocurrency the truth is that there many people that don't have a good knowldge of cryptocurrency, there are set of persons here that sees cryptocurrencya as a scam that's there believe and we can't change them from such believe even though we try some times, our hesitation will prove unsuccessful, the people that has benefited more in cryptocurrency are the tech guys, there is nothing you will preach to tech guys to leave cryptocurrency that they will listen to you, i dont think that cryptocurrency has impacted much on people life in this country, but i strongly believe that with time people will start benefiting despite our government continous indirect fight against it.

Walhai, crypto has open a lot of Nigerians mind and making them to be more vulnerable and important both in the society. I can tell that it has change a lot of lifes in the society too of less privilege. Research has shown that crypto currency have made this recent government feel the youths are lazy but the absolute truth is we can't continue to be in starvation and still rely on their empty promises

Those that can actually boast of bitcoins achievement are early adopters who enjoy the unlimited privilege of selling high, though there are still opportunity to new users.

..., so the survival of everyone in Nigeria Is not dependent on crypto but rather crypto has empowered many.
I love the last line of your comment and I see why you earned the merit because in all reality, cryptocurrencies has empowered many who have given up hope of good jobs in this country.
Just imagine a graduate, probably also one who has had a master's degree, earning as small as #50k or less in this current administration and economic downturn, and with a family or dependants to Carter for. Such a person having been empowered by crypto currency knowledge and has the will to act on it, would abandon that job once they start making profit from crypto currency investment or trading.

After the Naira has been devalued twice, am sure crypto currency is a solution that is here to stay and although it is for everyone, not everyone can partake still and no matter what the government does to frustrate cryptocurrency investors or their exchanges, am sure it will get regulated and accepted as a recognized currency for payments and transactions soon.

Can you imagine that kind thing "wheel barrow empowerment".. Lolz.. But shah, make we just thank God say Bitcoin and Social media monetization came to weep away our tears, as boys can now afford to live a good lifestyle, buy better car, and build standard house before the age of 30yrs. Because who knows what would have become of us if none of this exist. But our God big pass them

Omo.. na truth you talk my gee, because the truth be say the impact of Bitcoin on the Nigerian youths can never be over-emphasized, both in this generation and the next to come, because what Bitcoin has done for us in this past 14yrs, I doubt if our government for fit do am for us in the next 50yrs, and as such, I go always talk say Satoshi Nakamoto deserves to be praised for such wonderful innovation now putting food into the family of thousands of youths globally. While secondly, inasmuch as our government try to fight Bitcoin for being the cause of Naira depreciation. Bitcoin go always strive..

Since I knew crypto, many things has changed around me because when others people are shouting there is no Job for the country, I will smile and move on with my crypto investment because it has increased me financially with small money I used to start the investment years ago.

It has helped me not to depend on my parents before I can pay my school fees, compared to when I never know crypto, any money I want to spend in school must come from my lovely parents because they want the best from me as their child.

If not crypto, I would have still been depending on my parents before I can do anything to sustain in the environment, and since I have made up my mind to dedicate more time on crypto, it has increased me financially, and materially in my environment.

Firstly, I wish that I had an idea or more knowledge about Cryptocurrency earlier, my knowledge currently would've developed better than this and maybe I would've been one of those big Crypto whales all over the net but altogether it's better late than never and I'm glad for the knowledge I've got currently about Cryptocurrency, all thanks to the Bitcointalk forum. If Cryptocurrency never existed, with the rate of poor economy and bad government, the poverty rate would've doubled and trust me the crime rate would've even trippled and I don't even think the government would've been able to handle the situation cause people, mostly the youths would look for any means of survival I mean in country where the government is bad, economy is down with no job opportunities how then would people survive if not crime, but thanks to Cryptocurrency that's kept many Nigerian youths off the streets and provided job opportunities for more citizens thereby reducing the crime rate. That's one thing the government should consider and be happy about instead of blaming Cryptocurrency for the lose of value of our currency.

The main difference between investing in cryptocurrency in Nigeria now compared to a few years ago is the foreign exchange rate. Investors need to provide more naira to purchase cryptocurrency today. Unfortunately, most exchanges are removing naira P2P options, making it less attractive for new traders.

Well if your idea of crypto currency beign of help to us is relating to jobs and working online I'll not agree with you cause aprt from airdrops and this forum how many crypto platforms offer jobs to people, what I would say that crypto currency especially bitcoin has done is opening our eye to flaws of fait and providing g a solution to better currency and asset that we can rely on rather than keeping fait that would still depreciate in value.

Crypto has also brought a whole new awareness of technology and database technology that is been exploited today in many African countries by tech guys, so yeah it has Brought more awareness than jobs.

Cryptocurrency awareness inside Nigeria, na real blessing e be, because many youths wey I know wey don graduate from universities, wey don find work tire, las las na crypto business dem de do now. Cryptocurrency na very good alternative sources of income to many people wey get steady jobs, e no too disturb anybody wey de hodl am or de trade am, say make dem leave dem job.

Cryptocurrency don change my life for better, since wey I don join dis forum and come de increase my knowledge about di advantages of earning inside crypto, I never regret for one day. Unfortunately our government unfriendly attitude towards crypto matter, like di restrictions of naira p2p for some reputable exchanges, wey people de survive on, but all di same, we go still survive for di crypto industry.

Crypto has really helped our youth in so many ways. It has helped in job creation, improve our thinking abilities and still put money into our pocket. Idleness and robbery will has been on a more percentage in our society if not for crypto space. Even people with little knowledge in the space can still make money through airdrops. Recently, do you know how many Nigerians that notcoin put smile on their face with just doing a simple task of tapping. Cryptocurrency is really a blessing to we Nigeria youths and even the whole world at large.
