Title: Referral campaigns to phishing sites -ARSO/HOOKED WALLETS
Post by: albon on July 09, 2023, 05:56:07 PM
What happened:: A Newbie member promoting a referral and airdrop campaign for an unknown wallet phishing site called ARSO WALLET. After opening the site, it turns out that it is a dangerous site, and the following message appears:
Quote
Deceptive site ahead
Attackers on arsowallet.org may trick you into doing something dangerous like installing software or revealing your personal information (for example, passwords, phone numbers, or credit cards).
This is not all; after visiting this site and skipping the warning notice, and after registering an account, it becomes clear that you have obtained a bonus, but you can never withdraw it or make a stake except by depositing your crypto via the deposit address of this scammer.

Posting referrals links is forbidden, even if it's a legitimate service.
I just reported the post including referral link and I am sure it will be deleted soon.

Edit:
The post including referral link was just deleted by moderators.

Its good that the site is flagged immediately by search engines I checked it on both Chrome and Firefox and both flag this website, I hope in the future search engines and domain registrars can flag these phishing sites within 24 hours or less after they are reported, this is to discourage scammers and hackers from launching new phishing sites, as long as there are newbies who believe and are careless these scammers will always have new victims.

Good flagged because it can warn people not to download  that wallet.

This is constant reminder that never download anything you don't know especially giving a permission to access your phone data's or anything what's inside on your phone so thay they can't take what you have have stored especially those important files or even your money hidden on your personal wallets.

This users was continuesly making new thread every day about Hooked airdrop. I turned on bounty section notification and this user was spamming with his referel link. I was busy in personal life and didn't check but thanks for investigating and revealing the scam of this site. I am supporting flag and this kind of users should be punished to make forum clean.

This scammer is aware that bounty hunter are using this section and most of them don't know much about scam because they are just promoting project and most of hunters feeling no fear while connecting wallet. This flag maybe some sort of message for them to not trust this user and site he shared.

I reported the last of their thread to mod for deletion, hopefully they'll also take further measure by banning the account. Please tell me you use a temporary and disposable account [and password] to test the water?

Good work, dear. Thanks for your efforts in making the community safe, yes, I have registered an account with random information and a password, and I use a device with VMs, and the VPN is activated.

If the purpose is to facilitate other forum members report scammers who shared suspicious links, there's already a very well documented thread for that, which also serves as a request to mods nuke the scammers: Report Malware and Suspicious Links here so Mods can take Action !
