I'm new to Bitcoin and the Bitcoin forum, but my curiosity is overflowing. I've come across numerous articles and blogs that share exciting testimonies of how Bitcoin has transformed lives, inspiring some individuals to even quit their jobs. It's heartwarming to imagine the joy on their faces. I'd love for all of us to share our happiest moments when Bitcoin brought a smile to our faces and the steps, we took to experience that happiness.

Bitcoin brings happiness and sadness to people because in a zero sum game, one is happy with profit that comes from loss of another who is sad.

Quit your jobs because of Bitcoin is risky and if you have yet been rich, it is a red flag. Money comes easily in cryptocurrency market but it goes quickly too if you can not secure your profit. If you are bad with capital management, your initial capital can go quickly too.

You should only quit your jobs if you are already a millionaire and have some years in this market to know that you are good with risk and capital management.

I don't get why a person has to quit their job because of Bitcoin, it's not like Bitcoin needs all of your time and effort, all you need to do is just buy and hold it. Check the market and get some news like once a week, or even once a month, people should still be able to do their regular job while investing and learning about Bitcoin.

I do not see any reason for someone to quit their job because of Bitcoin only. They can quit their job if they want to start a business with Bitcoin like Binance owner CZ did.

Some people could hold their nerves to survive the bear market and hold their coins long-term, and they are successful today. But there are other sides as well. And you might say bitcoin has transformed lives but i don’t know about bitcoin inspiring people to quit their jobs. Perhaps you could share some of those articles with us. Bitcoin hasn’t inspired anyone that I know of to quit their jobs. On the contrary, people are sourcing for and getting side jobs to earn more so as to comfortably purchase more bitcoin and of course to relieve the burden on your pockets due to the constant rise in goods and services.
You mentioned you’re new to bitcoin. I hope you won’t get so excited reading about those testimonies that you would get inspired yourself to quit your job.

I’d like to add that you shouldn’t believe just everything you read online. Especially on blogs.

But behind that joy is sadness and disappointment for those who have not succeeded in changing their lives. People who share their stories on Bitcoin understand how they struggle to survive holding Bitcoin or making it from scratch until they manage to get a lot of profit.

You can learn from the stories of these people and how they survived until they finally experienced how Bitcoin has changed their lives. And you also have to know that behind investing in Bitcoin, there are risks that we must face. And if you are willing to take the risk and still not give up, you can change your life.

And if you haven't made much money, you should keep working as usual and don't quit your job. Especially if what you make from Bitcoin hasn't provided much profit for you.

Well, the smiles I remember are from when we were in bull market and Bitcoin kept beating ATH after ATH. That was a couple of years ago, and I remember that all the predictions gave a price peak for the cycle much higher than it ended up being. But they were sweet times while they lasted. People who leave work to focus on Bitcoin are because they somehow set up a business related to it, or switch to a Bitcoin-related job. For those of us who invest a small part of our income, it's not enough.

if there are those who share the fun and quit their jobs because of the profits from Bitcoin. you better not imitate it. keep working and enjoy your work even though later you will get much more profit from Bitcoin than what you get from your job.
investing will not always be profitable. because when there are those who profit but there will always be those who lose. you read the story of someone who is lucky, it's good to motivate you. but don't forget to read those who are losers. it's good for your experience so you don't make mistakes when investing.

In my case, I didn't quit my job because of Bitcoin, but on the contrary: I quitted my job a year before (re)discovering Bitcoin. I was having a bad time there, which was followed by a whole year of depression and hypochondria.

After bottoming out, I found this forum, joined some campaigns and recovered hope and, yes, smile! It is true that it was another time, 2017, when the market was not so mature and I think that there were more opportunities, but I hope other people who learn about Bitcoin and/or members who join now the forum can tell a similar story in a few years.

People who quit their jobs probably have invested in Bitcoin very early on. Imagine not needing to work for the rest of your life because of the amount of money that you have gathered with the investment that you have. That's amazing, to be honest, to have that life-changing amount.

For me, discovering Bitcoin has made me wiser in terms of having to invest in the right places like knowing what really matters and what doesn't and it has given me opportunities that I wouldn't have now if I hadn't known Bitcoin. It brings a smile to my face because of that.

Well I'm glad you're happy but while you were reading those blogs and articles didn't you ever come across writings of how people have gone bankrupt because of bitcoin? And also how some other persons have incured some drastic losses as well?
Every  good has is bad and that also applies to bitcoin and I believe that its advantages outweighs the disadvantages but the truth be told that it takes patience and some good research to stay blessed in the industry and i some little advice for you which includes:
1. Don't be in a haste to invest but rather take your time to study about what you're about getting into it.

2. When you begin investing, don't store your coins on exchanges

3. Don't be too greedy and don't click on random links, they might be scam

4. The make profit rule of cryptocurrencies is buying low and selling high so you always have to stay active.

5. I will also advice that you hold for longer term as this is one of the best and less risky way to profit.

Another newbie decided that Bitcoin would change his life for the better. Why do so many people not see the other side? Everyone thinks that if you invest a certain amount, it will grow by leaps and bounds.
OP, land on the ground. If you currently have a good amount to invest in Bitcoin, it means that you are already doing well. If you think that you will invest a little and soon make a good profit, then you are in for disappointment.
In addition, you do not need to invest all your funds. Life is unpredictable, and at an unexpected moment, you may need money that you do not have. I will not talk about volatility or the safety of storing your funds in Bitcoin, but what I read about changing jobs specifically for Bitcoin is, in my opinion, complete madness.

For me nothing has changed. I am still waiting to be part of the financial revolution. I have also read inspiring stories and have joined this journey by being part of the forum. I still feel the same but it takes a lot of time to keep yourself updated.

Seriously, Bitcoin has not yet changed my life financially because I have never witnessed any bull run since I started my Bitcoin investment journey. I just started to invest in Bitcoin last year, despite being aware of it for Long time, but I believe it will soon change my life financially because I promised myself that I would not sell my bitcoin unless I have witnessed at least two bull runs to come, and we are expecting one to come soon after the Bitcoin halving period we expecting next year.

But honestly, despite the fact that Bitcoin has not changed my life financially, it has changed my lifestyle. Since I started to invest in Bitcoin, I have learned how to economize, like not lavishing money on unnecessary things because once I bought it, it was always hard for me to sell it back. So I just believe there are many ways Bitcoin can put a smile on someone's face.
 
As for those who claim that they quit their jobs after making good profits from their Bitcoin investments, I don't think that's a good idea unless someone wishes to establish their own physical business with the money they get from their Bitcoin investments. But apart from that, if you rely on bitcoin as your only source of income, they warn against it because of the risk that bitcoin involves and because nobody knows what will happen in the future.

Bitcoin stories are not all rosy, there's a sad part to it so don't go jumpy and celebrating that you've seen the key to financial freedom without having a proper knowledge of how Bitcoin works. Take some time to know more about Bitcoin, learn about the market, the best time to invest and when to take profit and also learn about wallet security.

Bitcoin has no doubt positively touched a lot of lives among whom I happened to be one but I just want to say that I don't think it's wise for a person to quit his job because of the money he makes from Bitcoin. Bitcoin investment is more like a side hustle and shouldn't prevent anyone from doing his personal business or working in an establishment.

Do not listen to these articles, they stimulate your greed by telling you that there is a magic solution to live a better life instead of working for several hours a day you can invest in bitcoin and you will get rich quickly which is completely wrong and then instead of investing in bitcoin you can invest in X altcoin and you will get rich faster, It's a scam and they only have these false promises.

Bitcoin is a cryptocurrency and a good long-term investment. If you do not have work, money to buy a good amount of bitcoin and wait for several years, you will not be able to achieve a good return on this investment.

If the same question is still bothering you, then I will tell you that the internet is full of stories about how people got rich because they invested in BTC when it was worth a few tens of $ or maybe a few hundred $ - and some who read those stories think that maybe they too could realize their dreams with the help of Bitcoin. In other words, why work 7 or 10 hours a day and not be able to earn enough for a decent life, if there is something that has changed the lives of others for the better.

Of course, stories are one thing, but reality is something completely different. Everyone's life can change overnight if they win the lottery or find a treasure chest. Maybe you should check what is buried under an old tree ;)

If they have become full-time spot/futures traders then they will quit their jobs because trading is more interesting to make a lot of money than working, but if as a long-term bitcoin investment it would be good to keep the existing job because investment will not earn every time unlike trading.

For OP it is not easy to bring happiness to our faces in bitcoin, maybe we are already about the word "high risk/high return" as long as you can't control well everything will be lost so fast in the crypto market, but one thing is the most important if investing long-term then you need another job to earn every month.

I don't think it's a wise decision to leave work just to focus on Bitcoin, because Bitcoin doesn't require someone to always be on standby in front of a computer to track its movements every second, minute or even hour. The joy that adorns the faces of those who have succeeded in reaping profits from Bitcoin trading or investment activities can grace yours too.

Bitcoin doesn't look at anyone to make someone believe in its potential, everyone who has deep knowledge of how to trade and invest in Bitcoin will have joy on their face after profiting from their trust in Bitcoin. First I should talk about me. I was involved with Bitcoin much earlier when it was below 1K and that time I was holding a good amount of Bitcoin. But I was unable to hold it and that's why I spent a good amount from my holding. But still I am happy to see the craze of Bitcoin. So I have both smiley and saddy situation for Bitcoin. Everyone smiles when Bitcoin hits new ATH or follow a bullish trend if they are involved.

Sad part is that I couldn't hold it for a long period but Bitcoin helped me a lot at my study period when extra money is really much helpful. I made a good profit from it and I am really happy what I have gained.
I think above these all are very common to hear but you will feel the importance when you face it.

That's a good point because I saw someone take it too seriously that they think it is a get rick quick scheme. Obviously it's not. And even a day trader should not leave their jobs because of involvement. You can still trade by doing your own analysis and putting a take profit and stop loss point. When you are doing your Job you will have faith to face any bad condition or a long term bearish season. Obviously it's should not be neglected that Bitcoin can also face a bad journey so why we will take this risk ?

Yea sure bitcoin has really improved the lives of its adopters because if you buy bitcoin,you can feel secured from inflation and you can also make some profit from it if you are a trader or a holder of bitcoin, since there is always a bull run from investors to empty their bags for good profit. I don't think that it is a good idea to quit your job for bitcoin if you have a good job. People that can quit their jobs and concentrate more on their bitcoin investment are those that are living in a third world country with poor economy and lack of good job opportunities.

I came to the forum this year and I had my first bitcoin not quite long but I have this rest of mind that I am building my financial stability for the nearest future since I have being piling up my btc from signature campaign to hodli till the next ATH,when I will then check my bitcoin investment portfolio to see how much it worth and from there,I will know what to do. I feel happy to be saving in bitcoin because am using it as a store of value.

Its actually a complete madness to leave your job simply because you want to venture into cryptocurrency without having any preliminary knowledge and experience  of it.
And I will advice that you maintain your job as that will be a backup funds on your cryptocurrency honey because I do believe that there might be some irresistible losses that might come along the line and you'll  definitely need your salary to sustain by then.

Well I'm glad you know that nothing good comes easy and that's why you really have to be consistent  in your dealings and it is always beneficial to get more knowledge  about crypto  before wanting to invest.

I know it's a common excuse, but most people have said it from time to time. But I don't think it's always wrong to leave your main job to build a more profitable business if you make a large profit from trading or investing.

After all, you don't always have to waste opportunities in life to try something that you think is better financially. Sometimes we need to sacrifice something to get something bigger even though the results are not necessarily as we expect. Then from that, if you are not properly appreciated by government policies or your boss at your place of work including disproportionate salary, then I think the decision to try a new life challenge is not a bad decision.

I also think it’s unnecessary to quit your job because of bitcoin, I know some people might be trading bitcoin and some might just buy and hold, but if anyone is involved in either of the two, you don’t have to quit your job because of it. Bitcoin investment is kind of very easy and it those not even take much time, and if you are having a job, you can still allocate some certain amount of money from your salary to keep on accumulating more bitcoin, and if you are into trading, you can be at your work place and still trade without stress, and your job will serve as alternative source of income, because we shouldn’t depend on only one source of income.

Although a lot of people are convinced that Bitcoin is a zero sum game, I don't think that's the case. I do think that Bitcoin has made more happy people than sad people. But then, the end game for eaxh individual is influenced by their choices and decisions.

- Got into Bitcoin early but sold off early, then Bitcoin didn't cause it. There was a choice and they chose to sell.
- Got into Bitcoin at the peak and lost money is not because of Bitcoin. There is always a choice.

Bitcoin brings a smile to my face especially when I cashed out my first few bitcoins and used them successfully online. I couldn't believe it was actually happening. The feeling of happiness when I started earning my first bitcoins in the past was truly amazing. Bitcoin has been uncredible and it's still is in helping me with various things. When I don't have a lot of money in my bank account, I can exchange some of my bitcoins for financial assistance eliminating the need to borrow money from anyone else.

Nothing is stable with bitcoin and cryptocurrency since even if you earn something today you cannot be so sure if you can still earn the same in future. So not good if you quit on your job because of thus since you might be in bad position and everything might fall apart if bad things happen, we should remember that there's always bad market situation always happen and to bad if we got badly affected with that since maybe we can't recover especially if we lose a lot of money in single bearish movement.

I would not advise you to take that part if you have a real job. Please know that you can be employed, and while doing your job, you can still Invest in Bitcoin and make profit during the bull market just like every other investor will. Bitcoin investment doesn't limit any investor from doing anything else; in fact, Bitcoin Investment gives you the freedom to do anything else while you still have your asset in your wallet, or you can also be doing a real job, receiving a salary, and still accumulating some fractions of Bitcoin gradually in addition to the one you already have. In every investment, the higher your investment, the higher your profit (same with Bitcoin investment). If you still have a continuous inflow of income from your other source of income, you can still keep accumulating, either weekly or monthly, depending on what you want.

It would be more self-fulfilling if you have bitcoin in your life without leaving your current job. That is the correct mindset to deal with bitcoin, and when it profits, surely you will experience all out happiness without worrying aside if your bitcoin price suddenly crashed because you still have a reliable job to cover up in case you lose.

However, it’s undeniable and inevitable to see people experience financial breakthrough with bitcoin. But that will only happen if you’re not greedy on the side, and you let your bitcoin investment sleep in your account without pressuring yourself to sell it especially when you experience financial breakdown.

Some quit their jobs? Well, if they know that they can earn more, and they know that it's stable well I guess there's nothing wrong with it.
I wouldn't suggest this especially if your income source that's related to Bitcoin isn't stable like your current job, but I believe most of these people who are earning thru Bitcoin, and crypto are probably freelancers, or traders at least. Anyway, seeing them quitting their current job to focus on Bitcoin isn't a bad thing because I've done it as well. :)

Op do not be deceived by some crazy things you see some people write in some articles about bitcoin, bitcoin is not a Ponzi scheme where you can invest today and get a double of your investment as they always say don't listen to them.Yes some people have actually left their job to pursue bitcoin investment and jobs but maybe you should try and find out the type of jobs they do before you consider doing likewise so you don't come back here crying even though you didn't say you have left your job to invest money in bitcoin.

Most people who have benefited most on bitcoin investment are long term holders who bought bitcoin when the price was around $16k and during the bull run they got a good profit for believing and not selling their coins even when their was fear and doubt, a lot have been said about the next bull run you can buy now with the amount you can afford to lose but don't quit your job and don't invest with all your money.

Never you quit your job because of BTC because investing your money in BTC doesn't affect your job, so don't let anybody deceive you with fake information that will make you regret for the rest of your life when you quit your job.  I was a treasurer in our club and every month there are amount of money the club is saving in my hands against end of the year celebration, which I took the advantage of the money and invest it in BTC early January 2019 when the price of BTC was $9,199 in the market, and I try my possible best to hold till December ending when the price of BTC hit $13,578 before I release the coin to market to make a good money that increased me financially in the society.  I will advise you not to invest what you can't afford to lose in BTC because the price can decide to remain low through out the year, but there is a hope that the price will surely increase higher in future which is one of the advantage that made people to cherish BTC investment.

You can think about leaving your current job only if you have other sources of income secured. Whether it's from Bitcoin investments, cryptocurrency trading, or any other crypto-related business, it doesn't matter. If you read testimonies of individuals who quit their jobs because of Bitcoin, most of them are early investors who bought a lot when BTC was way cheaper than it is now, securing their financial stability. Check out historical graphs of how much Bitcoin grew in past bull runs. It's unlikely to repeat that kind of growth, and the best we can hope for is maybe a 2x or 3x price appreciation compared to the last ATH.

I think that most of those who smiled because of Bitcoin were investors whose savings value increased in a record way without being ready for that. This does not eliminate the possibility of the opposite, because surely some others lost their smile due to the decline in the price of Bitcoin after buying it for the purpose of investing, and you can imagine the position of those who decided to invest when the price exceeded 62 thousand dollars two years ago, to drop after that and not return to that level to this day.
Personally, I can say that Bitcoin always makes me smile when I remember that it changed my life forever since I got to know it in 2014. Bitcointalk forum is one of the very few places on the internet where you can get genuine information and engagement from forum members, you have already read testimonies on blogs about the benefits of bitcoin I expect you’d ask us here our bad experiences after being in the crypto space for x years, because hodling bitcoin isn’t a easy ride. I have noticed blogs only carry stories that are likely to attract readers, they do not care if the content is true or not. I would not encourage anyone to quit their job just because they made some money from investing, many will not value the stability a job brings until they lose it.

For sure Bitcoin brings a smile to a lot of traders, I mean just feeling the joy of making a profit on cryptocurrency is just a great thing, I remember when I do daily trading when I learned a lot of things, and when I buy Bitcoin it just makes me happy, I don't really know but when I started to accumulate Bitcoin its almost like I'm addicted on investing and I just want to buy more and more Bitcoin until I accumulate a big amount of it.

Also when I started on cryptocurrency my friend told me about this forum, and it was really a great help on everything related to cryptocurrency, I did learn a lot of things here in the forum and have a good engagement with a lot of members here in the Bitcointalk community. Not just hearing about other members' experiences but sharing my own experience as well. It is just great to know this community where all of us are the same that we believed on cryptocurrency and especially what the Bitcoin potential and do in the future. So we started all to buy and invest on bitcoin, for sure this is all going to give a huge profit in the future.

It's not like you imagine mate. that smile on his face has been through steps and struggles passed with tears and time. we just see his happiness but forget about how they fight to get that smile. I know that because have a friend who has experienced it. he struggled in the past and how hard to hold his Bitcoin to not spend it when ATH.

In bitcoin, we don't need to resign from the main job to focus on it, don't do that, because we can make bitcoin as a side job, like trading or long-term investment with I think didn't bother the main job when you able to managed itu.

But be careful on some articles that are telling you to leave your job and focus on bitcoin. That is not the safest option to take. Keep your job while making bitcoin as your side hustle, I guess that will make you live your life worry free.

Bitcoin is designed to be a good currency, and not as a job that will give you monthly income. While a lot can prove that it’s profitable, but it can never guarantee a consistent income like a real job is.

If there are positive and exciting testimonies about bitcoin, surely there are also a lot of negative declarations that will ruin the reputation of bitcoin. Yes, Stopping your monthly-paid job to concentrate on crypto trading might be the worst decision anyone could ever make, as that alone can ruin your financial life. Every means of earning is essential in developing one's financial growth, and if you are opportune to have some trading skills and also have a daily, only monthly-paid job, I will advise you to keep both, as they will work hand in hand to aid your financial growth.

I believe some people don't grasp cryptocurrency because they are unmotivated. What I mean is that most individuals are unfamiliar with the crypto industry. Don't believe everything you see online, mate, as most of those online testimonies are all fabricated stories from content creators and some so-called influencers as a means of attracting traffic and members to their channel. The time when bitcoin lifted most people out of poverty has long gone, as it's hard for you to even see 2 times your invested amount on bitcoin in this period without holding for a long period of time.



Holding and trading over your job could be considered unwise financial decisions. Holding Bitcoin does not give out an immediate profit, for one should focus much more on buying and holding than the profit he or she is to make in a short period of time. Buying and holding Bitcoin don't benefit holders in an instant, and as such, it can't sustain a jobless individual; instead, it will make you panic sell when you are in need.

I don't support quiting your job totally no matter the amount of profits Bitcoin gave to you, the only time you can quit (but you'll have to look for a new job) is when you don't like the job that you were doing and it stresses you.
