Post by: BabyBandit on August 14, 2023, 04:57:07 PM
Hello I just created my account here, I have been using BTC for a while but never really have the power to make an account here, now I did and wanted to say Hi to you all since it was recommend to do so.
I think and hope my time here will be enjoyable, I seen from before that the knowledge here is very high so I think using the Search tool when you wonder something will be a great way to use the forum.
I also saw it's a lending board and a marketplace, nothing I need for now but it's good that people that trust each other can make deals without anyone else involved.

Now I have said more then enough, i am happy to be here and hope I will enjoy my time and hope you enjoy yours!

You are highly welcome to the forum.
It's good to finally see a newbie who did not start with, What can I do? How can I do it? What are the rules? and all of that, as we have been seeing for the past couple of weeks now.

As you can already see by yourself, the forum is a broad place, and everything information you need can be gotten from here, if not all at least helpful ones, and you already know how to use the search option of the forum, which I see as a very important thing for anyone to know in order to make their stay here very enjoyable and stress-free. You can use the search button and run a quick preview of the forum rules and regulations, in order for you not to break the law of the forum, although they are not hard to keep, as any learned person, as you appear to be, can easily know what's right and what's not without even being told.

wanted to say Hi to you all since it was recommend to do so.

Who recommend you to make pleasantries here, you're a brand new and what should be your first concern is to learn about the forum first then bitcoin, i hope you're also informed that there are rules and regulations here on bitcointalk, find time to read them before you continue with posting, if you have nothing to post, then maintain reading and learning till you've acquired more, there's a quality standard required for making posts

posting etiquettes

I also saw it's a lending board and a marketplace, nothing I need for now but it's good that people that trust each other can make deals without anyone else involved.

It so funny that your eyes never locates the forum's rules and regulations yet, but you knew about lending board, i hope you're not here because you're financially challenged, you should be informed that this is bitcointalk mainly for bitcoin discussions, maybe other things could be secondary opportunities

welcome to the forum!

posting the link of this thread here Newbies - Read before posting (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1689727.0) just in case you haven't read it yet. it's a very helpful thread to read especially for new members that are just starting to navigate the forum. BABY SHOES shared the rules and guidelines that need to be followed, I suggest you read it too.

I also saw it's a lending board and a marketplace, nothing I need for now but it's good that people that trust each other can make deals without anyone else involved.

to be honest, I am not surprised that OP saw the lending board first, the subboard can easily be seen when visiting the Beginners and Help board, unlike the forum's rules and regulations thread.

Update: I don't want to spam with one more post so i say THANK YOU to all for helping me and thanking me, even them that message under this post  :)

Welcome abroad Dear baby bandit, I hope you will develop more interest in this forum and keep growing because this platform has a lot to offer. You will be able to learn over time that this platform was the first ever platform, or forum, that was created besides BTC. That is to say, the satoshi was registered on this forum when the BTC was created.

I hope you will find many useful topics here because finding them is obviously not hard, but when you do not know what you should search for, it becomes hard, so my suggestion is to check for the topic you like the most, check for that topic's OP profile, and visit more topics created by them.

Use the BPIP bitcoin talk tool to analyze who is most trusted, most respected, most liked, etc. here and try to learn from the topics they have created because most of the time the topics have a lot of information that we are seeking, and thus by reading that you will also get the idea too.

I think and hope my time here will be enjoyable, I seen from before that the knowledge here is very high so I think using the Search tool when you wonder something will be a great way to use the forum.

Only you can make that possible; I don't think anyone will assure you of that. Well, there are a lot of educational threads and topics in the forum that you can learn from. If you know how to search effectively (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5276341.0) on the forum, like you have mentioned, then you will be able to learn even from old threads that have gone down the board. While on the forum, you just have to be very observant of the rules, and maybe you will not have any issues.

Welcome to the forum and if you are crypto enthusiastic then you have come to right place where you can find lot of useful resources to enhance your knowledge. As you have been familiarize with the rules also check out the pinned threads on each board that can guide you a lot about that particular board so don't ignore them which will also help you in raising unnecessary doubts which they easily solves.

Instead of using forum search function you can use https://ninjastic.space or simply Google based search with your keywords accompanied by bitcointalk at last because forum search will give you some messy results which will be hard to be sorted. So keep gaining knowledge and enjoy your time here.

Welcome to this great forum friend. Hope you will really enjoy and learn what you need in this BTT forum. Because by joining this forum, it means you have decided to seriously pursue the world of investing or trading in crypto/bitcoin. So from now on you don't hesitate anymore, if in the future you have a question or a problem related to the realm of crypto or bitcoin, you can immediately voice/discuss it in this btt forum. Because in this forum, any issues related to the crypto world are usually answered thoroughly by members who really know the questions. Then my advice, in the future, don't take it too seriously, if there are members in this forum who comment on/reply to your posts a little spicy or a little offensive. Because basically, this scathing criticism is not hate, but rather a lesson that you must understand. So basically, just take it easy, if for example there is a member in this forum who comments scathingly about your post. Because everyone must have a different character, in terms of delivery or opinion.

And don't forget to read the rules listed on this forum, so you can understand more about this forum and so you don't break the rules.

Welcome here bud, I hope you enjoy your stay here and you'll learn more.

I also saw it's a lending board and a marketplace, nothing I need for now but it's good that people that trust each other can make deals without anyone else involved.
It's a common P2P lending marketplace wherein, it's all about trust but not just that. If you're untrusted, the lender will require you a collateral unless he really trust you. And mostly for newbie ranks, you're barely trusted and that's why if you're legitimately trying to get a loan, don't expect that you'll get one without any valuable collateral to be offered.

The distinction of being approved is still on the decision of the lender.

Welcome to the bitcointalk community, where all of the information, inquiries, concern, and knowledge you can get here, for the heads up we recommend to read the basic understanding in the forum that you can check in the pinned post of each board, especially in the Beginners & help and the Meta board. Dont hesitate to ask a question and share your knowledge so we contribute to each other. Also its easier to you to initiate to your local board to make an easy approach if you are shy or afraid to post in the main boards.

Holy moly, Welcome!. You are the first newbie in this board who has mentioned that they are aware of search function in this forum. I have been posting about this to most of the new users on this forum. Maybe you have read one of my post or someone else's similar advice, good start to be honest.

You should now join the discussion about Bitcoin in this board -> https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=1.0
Have fun.

Welcome, BabyBandit! Seems like even to this day, we're getting new users. Hope you have a wonderful time around the forum.

Yeah, the marketplace here is quite also varied. It's not just everything circulating with trading BTC with another crypto coin. I know you mentioned that you don't need to lend for now, but careful in requesting for loan in Lending Board especially that you're still newbie. I believe that you need collateral there before you can loan. It's been so long since I visited that board to just read. :D

But yeah, welcome to the forum again, OP!

Hey there Bitcointalkers!
As I read the topic title, I paused for a few seconds and reasoned if this is the perfect adjective to qualify the forum members. Reading it literally and understanding that the name of the forum is bitcointalk, makes it look so correct.
However, I would love to be called a Bitcoiner instead of a Bitcointalker. I don't know the rest of us will see it.

Welcome to the forum and follow your ambition. No too much rules or restrictions here. Just don't cheat the system and avoid plagiarism.

Hi BabyBandit. I really enjoy the activity of this forum. Not so long after I created this account in April, I often come here. Insights around bitcoin are pretty good here from gray to light.
I don't really care for the trading world at least for now. What I'm focusing on right now is reading, analyzing all bitcoin discussions and focusing on how to save in a wallet and discussing how to look after it properly.

Trading will be easier for me to learn after I understand the basics of all the bitcoin discussions that I mentioned.
Let's learn together here from those who are senior with the bitcoin world.

the knowledge in the forum all depends on your willingness to get it all. if you do not like to read, then you can miss a lot of information. So my advice to you, spend more time on the forums to read and discuss. if you still can't follow the discussion, it's better to read more to enrich your knowledge.
I don't know where you know the forum from, or from whoever introduced the forum to you. but may you have a good aim.

If your intention for joining the forum is to learn about bitcoin and interact with bitcoiners, you will find here very helpful. The information has unlimited knowledge about the working of bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. It is great that you are aware of the search tool of the forum because it will help you to dig deep into the information bank of the forum.

This forum has a lot of trustworthy and reliable members but you shouldn't trust every member. Some pretenders claim to be reputable in a bid to defraud some others. Don't also be in a haste to start posting because you have to spend some time learning about bitcoin and observing the operations of the forum.

Welcome to the forum.
I don't really understand why you didn't have the power to make an account on the forum when it literally does nothing to you and it is much better to have an account somewhere where you can get all kinds of knowledge regarding Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. However, it's good that you finally took the decision, and hopefully you will learn everything you need from here and don't just get lost in the middle and start looking for ways to earn money from here.

Also, about the lending board, though there are lenders that provide loans to people that they trust and believe that they will surely repay the loan, it can get you in trouble if you ask for a loan without offering any collateral because a newbie asking for a loan without collateral is considered to be a potential scammer.

Welcome dude.
It's actually gonna be enjoyable for you if only you can read, emulate and adopt the whole lifestyle in here ( 'em rules are never excluded)...
Alot more times, peeps don't even wanna condone the forum's preference; they feel things aren't supposed to be that way - they aren't supposed to abide by some rules that to them, doesn't really make sense.. That's when you begin to have lame complainers, spamming the whole forum with different discomforts that demands rehabilitations - they'll also complain about Thier suspicions on how merits are not being sent to newbies as well, regardless of whatever points they made.... I'm just hoping you've got a different fate.

Hello mate and welcome to the Bitcointalk forum. It's good that you have finally created an account here in the forum since it is very useful to join discussions and such. Anyway, it is not recommended to post here in the forum that you are a newbie and just joined this forum. It is entirely up to you if you will introduce yourself either forum name/username or your real name or nickname. Since you sre a newbie, If you are planning to ask for a loan tehntit won't be easy.

We thank God that you are here. Even though you are bitcoin enthusiast, read the forum rules in Meta Board and Beginners & Help Board. I also understand that you are newbie but what wonders me the most is that, upon all the boards in the forum, you are interested on the lending board and marketplace. That is I am suspecting that you're an addict of borrowing but be careful with that in your life, because it will wreck your life.

You are in the largest cryptocurrency and blockchain community in history. The wealth of knowledge that you can get in this forum alone will not be found anywhere else. All it takes is for you to enjoy spending time looking at the various topics and discussions, which at the same time will help you understand the forum and how you can contribute to it, whether by publishing or helping others. It will be very useful for you to familiarize yourself with the forum rules in order to avoid making mistakes that may lead to banning your account or causing problems with others.
Don't worry about upgrading your membership because it depends on how rich your contributions are.
