Finally, I've observed that there are so much to learn in the forum, to the extent its sometimes overwhelming. There are so many intellectuals and professionals who display their wealth of knowledge at any concern. Its a good thing that there are people willing to create topics and contribute to meaningful topics created everywhere in the forum. I also observed the more I get engaged in the forum activities, the better I got at knowledge and exposure. I have resolved to learning and continuous learning to expand my knowledge personally and be able to grow to recognition in the forum one day in the nearest future. As fillipone (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5098333.0) rightly said in one of his posts, when you dedicate time to learning and readily share your knowledge with people in the forum, you grow not only in knowledge, but in the rewards of impacting meaningful knowledge "Merit". I'm now fully dedicated to continuous learning and contributions with a positive expectation of reaping the fruits of my labor pretty soon.
A note to my fellow newbies(I'm definitely leaving that rank soon), keep learning and striving, everything we wish for will materialize.  But first, you've got to learn, learn and learn!!!.

That's very well said. As with almost everything in life, learning is usually the first step before you can even put what you learn into practice (after building a solid KnowledgeBase that is).

The forum has a gold mine of knowledge which is what made it standout to me vs other forums I visited at the time. Came researching researching about TBC: The Billion Coin but I stayed for the potential learning impact and it was one of the best decisions I've made in life.

Good and nice one because learning is the partway to success in any field of life and for such you have chosen the right path to take by becoming a member of this forum, and as you have rightly said, bitcoin talk has become a home to many of us and we have learned a lot from other members of the forum and we also have offered knowledge in one way or the other but most importantly, the importance of building a good financial knowledge before you buy your first Bitcoin.

OP, you are right about the forum. The more you become more active, the more knowledge that will get. Also when you have this knowledge, the more eddective you will be in discussion and from there you will grow in rank and get recognised by the dorum members based on you contributions.

The forum is like a university that the money you study hard the better grades that you will get, and you will become recognized in your department or in your school. There are a lot here to learn that one can't learn everything in two years' time. As long as bitcoin is existing there will be new development in the technology and so many new features as time goes on. If you take the forum as a hobby, learning will become fun for you, and you will be happy with yourself.

Indeed the forum have lots of knowledge to offer but we should be selective on the knowledge we have to learn.    Even though there are lots of genuine members that give their best to share the right and factual knowledge, there are also members that share half-baked knowledge which sometimes twist the factual truth about the subject matter.  We should always verify any knowledge we get in order for us to absorb the right one.  Like for example, some of the created thread here support that Craig Wright is Satoshi which in truth is a lie. 

As a newbie rather than thinking things to type and post, it is much better to think of a good topic to read and learn.  This way newbies equipped with knowledge can be able to participate in the discussion brilliantly.

This is well articulated thread, knowledge cometh by reading and learning every day and if you can do that then you will learn a lot also enjoy the purpose of you joining the forum and all what you have to do is reading other users articles to know more and learning is not restricted only to newbies but also to other ranks in the forum. Everybody in the forum learn one thing to the other and nobody is an expert here because nobody knows everything in the world. And that is why God create division of labour which is equivalent to division of knowledge.

Education is the key and it comes by reading and learning. It's awesome how you're a newbie and you were able to know this, this shows that you will go places if you also follow the remedy you are talking about. There is knowledge here, very large and beautiful but you have to dedicate your time and effort to accomplish it and if you understand how they are been written, and can translate them for newbies, having merit will be easy task to accomplish.

I also learn that knowledge is not a proof by rank, you can be a newbie and you can still school lots of people who need the knowledge and merit will come from the people that will appreciate your work.

Reading and publishing, helps learning process any where it's been implemented. It works fine in this forum. I've seen quality threads, where the owner invests lots of time to create. I commend such people for their dedicated time in building a forum with useful information. The contents are free, surprising! Most top blogs demand for money before I can read. But here despite the high quality information contained in a thread, I read them and pay no dime. The journey of advancing in bitcoin knowledge is free and luckily the forum progress or ranks are organized to teach serious members. It's impressive to see the response of ranked members. Their knowledge is enormous and creates a learning environment for us, newbies. I'll keep learning gradually. The loads of information here, doesn't require fast reading. One might miss out on valuable details.

Actually coming to this forum has really helped me a lot, my first week here everything was very strange to me but just like they say learning is the key, so I started learning from other higher members post to acquire knowledge which I believe the forum offers to everyone who is ready to learn, so actually is a privileged to acquire the little knowledge I have now about crypto considering my short time of coming here.

Yes, there are a lot of things that you can learn from this community, and there are a lot of knowledgable members as well. You can also go around and play around the community to get yourselves acquainted, and then if you have doubts then you can ask. However, since this is a community, there will be rules so you will have to abide and follow it so that you can enjoy your stay and have friends too.

Learning is an opportunity that everyone should never taken for granted.

Being able to join and read insights from this forum makes me fascinated and more interested with BTC. Considering that I'm still a newbie, I'm already learning a lot with just simply reading the articles here. I also explore other topics such as the Politics, Economics, Marketplace, and BTC itself. I also learned with different insights from other users here.

So yes, learning is a continuous process, so as our curiosity. And once we learn something, let's not forget to share it to those who are in need.

The forum  is a good place for newbies to learn bitcoin trading if they are focused to learn,  the reason why some newbies don't achieve to get knowledge that they are suppose to get is because they divided  attention that draws their attention. The forum has lot of knowledge to offer to newbies that will help them to make food decisions on trading and to do right things and to be safe from scammers .learning in the forum have a lot of benefits in the forum for newbies if only they can be discipline to learn.

Some of them are just blinded with possibilities to earn on signature campaign and they stop when they found out on how hard to rank up or even get accepted on a campaign. If they could just enjoy and forget about getting monetize for sure they can learn a lot here. Also aside from campaigns they are targeting they can do a lot of services where they can earn and they just need to establish a reputation since for sure there are people will get them to do certain task.

That's very nice of you to come up with this topic, learning doesn't mean you have to only pay attention to what people are saying, like here in the Forum you have to be ready to take what comes with the learning process. We have those who teach in a way that can really hurt your feelings and it might make you back down all you have struggled for, so if you learn you also have to include patience, accepting all that's being thrown at you in the process of learn, taking corrections in any form.
Like they say, no knowledge is a waste and it doesn't matter how or where that knowledge is gotten from as long as it will add up to your life.
Bitcointalk has taught so many people to engage in trading or investing, it helped in different ways, those who doesn't know much about Bitcoin now do and they're also ready to spread out that same knowledge and even get more of it.

Your decision and courage is very much organized mate, I really like your motivation in learning, here in the forum people learn, unlearn and relearn at the same time. Keep the goal certain and clear but in the course of wanting to rank up or receive rewards for contribution (Do not over do) most people will not tell you this. The world is ruled by knowledge. So if you have the requisite knowledge in an area, you will become relevant. The information in this forum is overwhelming and it keeps increasing every day. Hence if you want to learn about Bitcoin, you can never regret locating this forum. Time spent reading in this forum is not a waste because it can be applied in different areas of the Bitcoin space and even in other areas of life like business, family, etc. I will advise you not to take the forum seriously but it will not be a bad idea to spend your spare time reading from it. The pathway for earning merit and ranking up is to keep learning and sharing your knowledge in the community. But you need to be very patient because sometimes things might not work as expected.

Not for Bitcoin trading only, the forum is good for learning many things. Especially if people want to learn more about Bitcoin history and want to learn Bitcoin in advance. I used to know that Bitcoin is a crypto currency that can be traded and gambled. I didn't even know the supply of Bitcoin.

Not only newbies, but almost everyone do thing where they are interested most. I want to learn more about Bitcoin but I do not miss when I see some games and rounds in the forum. I do not miss when I see a good promo. We always cannot stuck in a thing because we all have different interest.


I don't know why you are too focused in Bitcoin trading. This is not the only feature Bitcoin offer. I do not suggest newbies immediately start learning Bitcoin trading instead of know the depth of Bitcoin. Their main focus should be explore the forum more and more and read. I didn't even realize when I learned things about Bitcoin. 

Congratulations. You're about to become a junior member soon so you're right and keep up with the progress that you've been making. Learning isn't just for the newbies but it's for everyone to progress and learn something new and gain knowledge of the things that we don't know yet. Take a little step at a time and enjoy the exploration that they are learning while staying here. As this thread says, a lot of things have to be learned from the forum, there's trading but it isn't the only thing that they'll learn about.

You can never learn enough. It's like an infinitely void. I liked the attitude you showed in term of learning. Many newbies don't have that. They aren't that patience as you. The forum is actually the best cryptocurrency and Bitcoin forum out there and Satoshi Nakamoto is actually the one who created this forum, Personally, I really learned a lot in this forum probably when I was just getting started I was just a student that's the time when I first know about cryptocurrency and I dont really have any idea what it is at that time. But luckily I discovered this forum from a friend where he invited me because he think that cryptocurrency and Bitcoin is just the great thing that is going to be popular in the future, In the long run, I slowly got interested in Bitcoin seeing how the market price of Bitcoin increase and skyrocket from around 400$ to an all-time high, I invested a little amount that time and earn a good enough profit, but there are as well some loses.

The forum is actually the one that makes me realize a lot of things that I can apply today in investing in cryptocurrency and Bitcoin, Honestly you can consider yourself lucky knowing or as a member here in the forum, so make sure to learn here in the forum and dont just wast your opportunity to earn a good amount of profit in the forum, especially in the coming Bullrun where cryptocurrency is already a big time because of the adaptatio.

Some people think Bitcoin = Trading and gambling. They think those are the only use cases of Bitcoin, while there are many other things to learn. People do not bother to learn why their transactions get stuck from time to time. People do not bother to learn that any coin named Bitcoin on another chain is not Bitcoin. These are the shitcoins. People do not bother to learn what wallet they should use instead of centralized exchanges. They use exchanges to trade and keep their balance there. Bitcoin enabled financial freedom yet we do not use it for that purpose. Bitcoin is not only for trading. If newbies already know about these, they are welcome to ignore it.

Not only newbies that have that issue of learning how things work especially in the Forum, it shouldn't be pointed at the newbies alone. Sometimes we use our ranks to judge how good or bad a person does things in this Forum forgetting that we're all humans that needs to learn from one another.

There is nothing much to learn here since this is not a platform to learn about Bitcoin or how the Bitcoin network works. This is only a forum where we can discuss and talk about Bitcoin and other altcoins too. If anyone want to learn about Bitcoin, there are different websites we can learn about cryptocurrency and mining from without stress. It is very important as a member of this forum to always keep to rules and make sure that we don't break rules that would make the moderator to ban our account or continuously deleting our posts.

OP I totally agree with you. The forum offers a lot to all of us here. I believe it shouldn't emphasize on newbies alone but to everyone here. Learning never stops in whatever stage we are. Our zeal should not end here there should always be room for improvement. One thing I found interesting the most in the forum is that there is no specific person or ranked members here specifically for teaching or tutoring. But we learn from the resources and experience we share here.

Studying a lot and reading is one way to find out many things which can ultimately make them knowledgeable. Just having knowledge will not make them achieve what is expected easily, meaning they have to develop their talent in writing or maybe they have to learn English better to be able to convey something correctly.

I'm sure many beginners learn, but they have difficulty getting their point across because writing is not their forte. This may be rare, but some people who tend not to like writing may have trouble getting it right. So it's not just knowledge that needs to be improved, talent and skill development is also needed so that you can achieve what you want in this forum.

Well said, learning first is what newbies should do before starting to do what they are going to do and this forum as you have said the forum has a lot to offer because forum members are here in the forum to help you understand what you are going to ask and as we can see that there are lots of guides, tips especially about your security. If a newbie has already done it then that person is ready to start what he/she is interested with like investments, trading and more.

I think that's all due to the excitement that they're seeing from the success stories of the others. They don't bother to check all of those basic things about Bitcoin but that's fine because they will get to learn all of those in the process and if they're eager to learn more about it.
But hopefully, those people won't go that far and will come to the point that they'll have their lessons in an expensive, that's what we don't want to happen to them and that's why starting from the most basic ones, making it a little by little until you want to learn something new again.

You just focus on gaining knowledge first of all but many new accounts run behind merits in hope of earning from some campaign but end up everything in vain so changing focus to real contribution on forum with aim of learning on forum.You see growth might be slow for some and fast for some accounts but keep yourself steady for it.

There are truths in those words, the more you learn the more knowledgeable you become and your impact on the forum will improve as now you won't be writing like most users do but your words will be full of positive contributions to discussion going on, on that particular thread. Knowledge cometh by learning and learning every day and when the learner has known then he or she can also reach other people and that is education, the impacting knowledge to another newbies is the knowledge acquired in the forum and passed to other. 98% just a guess figure were empty when joined the forum but today they have done well and educating others and that is learning. Sorry, but you are wrong. You can learn a lot here if you spend your time in the right sections, reading what those who know what they are talking about write. I can see from your post history that you aren't posting in the technical discussion boards. That doesn't necessarily mean you don't read what is written there, but if you aren't, I recommend you start. You might change your mind. The Gambling and Bitcoin Discussion boards won't teach you much, that is true. 

I think to his level of understanding, he is mixing those words up. I understand he is trying to talk generally on the benefit of bitcoins. Every newbie should understand that there are terminology in bitcoins and how they are used. The usage of bitcoin terms to convey your expression is very important else different meaning will be read to your expression.

Newbie should take note to avoid post that spike argument or reactions.

This platform is one of the best place to learn about Bitcoin. Some members here are early Bitcoin adopters and others have vast knowledge about the ecosystem. The forum covers almost all the areas of Bitcoin and altcoins. The information in this forum is priceless and can turn a novice in the sector into an expert. Members are advised to seek information from other reliable or verified sources but this forum has so much to offer. No question about Bitcoin cannot be answered in this forum. Just search for a topic in the forum and you will be amazed at the information you will get. To seek information from other sources there is a need to do diligent research because many websites give out fake information

I like your dedication and enthusiasm about the forum. Having a positive mindset in anything you do will always give you an edge amongst your contemporaries to always go an extra mile. Now you just have to build on acquiring that knowledge from the forum and sharing the knowledge in the forum also without expecting nothing in return (merits).
