Ethereum still remains my favourite altcoin when it comes to long-term investment and the reason is that Ethereum has been following Bitcoin closely in all its market movement and also has done significantly well in terms of development and network. Upgrade that could help the coin to have a long-term potential.

Sometimes,  I only choose the altcoin to go for based on my personal conviction and need for such coins,  and coins that fall in that category are low few coins that offer faster transactions and lower fees which make them suitable for sending transactions.

I don't have a favorite ones because they all serve different purposes, I just have a bias on other coins. One of the altcoins that I own and use is Ethereum for gas purposes and BNB for my trading fees on binance when I'm doing my trades. I think it's hard to choose a favorite altcoin today since everyone of them has purpose and of course different potential profit when the bull market comes. Majority of the altcoin where replaceable when someone better had been created, this has been proven many times already as the technology we have are advancing, this is why it's hard to choose a favorite coin, fundamentally.

BNB can be use to reduce fee on exchange, to participate on Binance Launchpad, Gas fee on binance smartchaij and many more which other altcoin can’t do since BNB is the only token from exchange with a very successful blockchain network.

OP(Optimism) is my second favorite since its very volatile but it’s price has definite low and high boundary which is very profitable if you know how to play it since this altcoin has a very good trading volume and liquidity.

My favourite one has pretty much always been Doge, its the memes and the age. Always felt like a fun little coin even tho its marketcap is gigantic
Usability wise

TRX - For USDT transfers
AVAX - for some NFT memes
Polygon - for some games
ETH aswell, but less lately tbh.

I like TRON TRX, because transfers are free of charge, up to ~3 per day and very fast - in some minutes.

I have several altcoins (network native tokens) to use, because each altcoin (network native token) has its own advantages and disadvantages. For example, to send or receive stablecoins (USDT in general), I use Tron (TRC-20 network), for serious DeFi investments I use Ethereum (ERC-20 network), while to connect to several DApps I use Binance Coin (BSC network). I don't think I need to explain the reasons because everyone who has been involved in crypto for a long time already knows about the advantages and disadvantages of each altcoin.

When it comes to usage, I primarily use BNB and TRX the most. I frequently use these two networks to conduct transactions because their fees are relatively low, and they offer fast transaction speeds.

Ethereum remains my first choice even if recently it has undergone ups and downs both in terms of value and reliability after the various forks and eips and the transition to staking but in my opinion it remains the best and the most versatile

The altcoin market is extremely risky so placing your trust in them is truly a gamble, but if I had to choose, I would choose ethereum and dogecoin.  Ethereum is considered the queen of altcoins and it is also the coin with the second largest market capitalization after bitcoin, so whoever chooses it, we need not be surprised.

As for dogecoin, I believe many people despise it because they think it is just a farce without any utility and is only hyped by Elon.  but I believe that memecoin will never disappear from the market, not only that it is also an important part of the market used to create hype to attract newbies market participants.  and to be able to maintain the existence of meme projects, we need a king and Doge is the choice.  many people do not believe that Doge can reach 1 USD in the upcoming bull season, but I even believe that it can achieve more than that.

Litecoin, I use it for gambling. I just like the way that I am winning like it's Bitcoin (in satoshis), then I feel like I am also lucky using it, and you can actually use it to bet small amounts too. I don't know why but it seems like there are many users of this coin on Stake.com and most winners also tip using these cryptocurrencies.
I don't know much about the history of Litecoin but I know that it has been in the industry for a long time so there are no worries about the value suddenly going down while I keep it in my stash. Sadly, there's no P2P in Binance so when I win I send it to the said exchange and then sell it for something else so I can make it cash.

For investing, it's Ethereum and I'm still holding a bit of it. While for transfers, I'm mostly using TRX for USDT because it's cheap and faster than the USDT(ERC20).

I guess that's the main reason why I am into TRX today and made me use it despite that I don't like it before. Things have changed and use cases are there so that's why I'm on it.

If not for transaction purposes and less fee tron is the preferred one for quick and convenient to use without any hassle, although ETH still the remains the best altcoin in aspect of investment. It has the tendency to increase and gives you much in returns than the above mentioned altcoin. Then for other coin like LTC well it's mostly used as payment gateway where most of the payment accepts it.

I always love Ethereum knowing that this is the second strongest crypto in the market. Also the same with bitcoin we can use it everywhere since if they put bitcoin accepted as payment on the site Ethereum is also the second alternative option to choose from and there's wide market for it that's why for sure majority prefer to have it.

Also in investment perspective I can say that the same with bitcoin it has a huge potential to rise up when bull run came so this is a must have crypto to store for hodl since we will not feel worry about it unlike on those other alts which we don't know if there's some good movement that will happen to it especially if bullish season show up.

Second will be the BNB since I like the low fee feature offered by binance that's the reason why I save some so that it can make me save some fees especially when I do trades on their exchange.

Before that it was ETH and I think in the future maybe LINK will also be used more often.  For me, there is not much difference in the altcoin category, the top ones will always be known by many people as well as the opportunities they bring during use. But there are some things that people only come back to when there is some hype, or simply a switch back and forth towards altcoins.

Yes there are plenty of coins available in the market. If you ask me my favourite coin other than Bitcoins, then definitely I will say Ethereum and BNB. Not only mine, but also many people’s favourite coins are these. These coins are favourite because their marketcap is high and these are very popular. These coins are very old and are backed up by big companies like Binance backing up BNB. These coins price have also increased significantly from the past, and hence giving us positive future projections. Hence if I have funds, and I have to buy alts, then definitely I will go for these two.

In this case, I have some similarities with you. I wanna also add two more coins in the line and one's Lite coin and the other one is Polygon(matic). With Ethereum and BNB becoming popular and renowned, I think these two coins are in a pretty good position. If long term investment is to be done in alternative coins after Bitcoin then I will keep these coins in my list. And my main favorite features of these two coins are their low transaction cost on the block chain. Although currently they are having a little down time due to the effect of the crypto market, but I think they can get a good return after bitcoin halving.

I vote xrp in poll since this is the coin which I usually use when doing some transactions since for me this is fast and more cheaper option, I also like Ethereum since we already know its reputation but I just don't like to use this coin when there's a network congestion issue since the fee's skyrocket and its so painful if we choose to proceed our transaction since it require us to pay huge fees so that we can make our transaction fast since if we put small fees then chances that it will stuck for many hours or even days.

Other coins listed on the poll is good but I rarely use them but maybe will consider to have especially that accumulation phase might gonna happen soon since I'm speculating that top coins listed will also have a good pump next year.

My best altcoin is $BGB token
My reason for choosing $BGB; in this current year 2023 $BGB token outshine every other platforms token and came out as the best performing platform token with 185%+ increase.

At the moment it's definitely ethereum. Layer 2 like of it like arbitrum guarantees we can use eth to send next to free tx fees. I honestly think that most of the projects move to that sooner or later. Reddit made a mistake choosing polygon before arb was ready to use and adopting that instead, would make so much more sense.

It has most ecosystem build into it, and while there are altcoins that are claiming to be more faster and efficient, they haven't really been in situations where those claims would be tested. And i wouldn't trust too much money into them.

Sol is interesting and my second choice, but i am still looking into it. And Dusk might surprise everyone at some point. Right now it's just a waiting game for it.

I have several altcoins that I think will be worth holding even for quite a long time, prepared for the next bullish era. Even though no one knows for sure how, I think some of the altcoins that I hold make sense that they will rise significantly.
1. Ethereum: There is no doubt, although many people say that Ethereum has disadvantages because of its high transaction fees, this does not make the value of this altcoin decrease. I am sure that ETH will remain worth holding with significant increases.
2. BNB, a new exchange from Binance, the biggest exchange platform. Of course, I think this will also be worth it for holding if you look at the fundamentals and use cases, as well as the market cap.
3.Matic, with its Polygon network, is becoming more and more commonly used, so I am also sure that this coin can continue to grow in the future, especially in the bullish era.

I’m choosing the top altcoins for a safer investment and we all know the risk are high with the altcoins so it is advisable to invest on a good coins. I’ve been holding ETH and LTC for a longer time now and I’m just waiting for the next bull market before taking the profit and so far I’m in a good position since I was able to buy at a cheaper price, I believe this two will bring big profit for me in the long run.

I don't really have favourite altcoin. Although, the one i use most is ETH but doesn't seem like my favourite cos I pay fees with it to buy other coins. I even paired it with some other coins on Bitget smart portfolio to DCA on those coins incase it goes up against them. So, its just like I sell it time to time and I use it more. But I never looked at it like my favourite coin.

I believe Max Kordek will finally deliver everything and the entire LISK ecosystem will go into space. In smarter language why I still believe cuz is an ecosystem that runs on JavaScript. The aim of the project is to provide programmers with faster access to the transfer of skills and qualifications needed to create specific applications in JavaScript and TypeScript, which are very popular in creating websites and applications.

I was not a big supporter of this wide variety of alternative currencies, especially since the waves have multiplied and we are witnessing a wave of currencies every year and a half or two years. In my opinion, the only opportunity to encourage investment in these projects is to exploit the wave of trend that these projects are experiencing for a short period before it fades or stabilizes relatively in a way that does not allow for large price fluctuations.

Among these classifications, there are what are called “privacy currencies,” which are currencies in which the protocol developed by them preserves the privacy of users on the blockchain. The most famous currency is Monero, which is very popular for this very reason. As for me, I was and still am interested in the projects that were developed on the Meamble Wimble protocol, the most prominent of which are the Grin and Beam currencies.
The Grin currency received great attention upon its launch, including the management of Bitcointalk, which allowed the acquisition of a Copper membership by paying with Grin, but it declined significantly, and it seems that development on it has also stopped. This currency is completely decentralized.
Beam coin contains an integration of several privacy coin projects, but it has centralized decision making. Perhaps for this reason, work on it is still ongoing by its developers.

I fully believe that Ethereum is the best option. Layer 2 solutions, such as Arbitrum, have considerably increased transaction speeds and lowered prices, making it a more appealing alternative. Also, dusk is an exciting initiative to keep an eye on in the realm of cryptocurrency, innovation and surprises might be just around the way.

Is it really 1000 alternative crypto-currencies? It seemed that there were already many more than 1000 useless coins.

Probably the favorite altcoin is ethereum, which has one of the largest user base and is widely used. This altcoin is not a problem to send or receive, because almost everyone has the created wallet. Can add acceptable commissions (in the absence of hype). But in general, this choice is more due to habit, or something.

because BTC is not an altcoin and is already the king of all coins, it is not included in the list. for the top altcoin that I chose of course ETH, nothing is as good as ETH and ETH is the king of altcoins. I traded with ETH, taking advantage of its price fluctuations and it provided commensurate profits. Look how ETH is everyone's choice and that is the reality right now. Apart from ETH there are several top altcoins worth choosing such as BNB, LTC, MATIC etc.

BNB has grown so much from been an exchange utility token to a blockchain that now home most cheapest tokens on the crypto market. Ethereum use to be the best of smart contract blockchain but the dynamic fee has damage the friendship it gives small crypto start ups and now there are many more of them now fighting for safe chain that is cheap and affordable in fee and high security.

I like bnb but it's influence by CZ, we can't deny that. Another thing that change about the launchpad kill the value of bnb, they change from 30 days staking to be eligible for launchpad to 3 days and when people are done with selling their tokens, they sell their bnb as soon as possible which is killing the price.

Quote
OP(Optimism) is my second favorite since its very volatile but it’s price has definite low and high boundary which is very profitable if you know how to play it since this altcoin has a very good trading volume and liquidity.

Optimism is great but I think it's another layer 1 that are investors are ready to pump and dump immediately they are done with selling. We should be asking ourselves the questions "what happened to the previous tokens that were hype to people. What happened to the development? What happened to the pre-sale raise money. Are we going to continue to lie to each other and keep recycling money within the poor and the rich, altcoins are not solving anything except for their values.

well its true that Ethereum dominates in term of altcoin investment apart from being invested heavily by the institutional investors when they want to diversify their investing portfolio it also being chosen by many individual to invest and also being used heavily for deploying new projects, the good quality projects are all in ethereum blockchain so you know that the demands of ethereum would be never ending after all it required for paying the gas fee, not to mention for every transaction it also burn some ethereum.
I think its overall good but the potential same with bitcoin, if someone looking for faster return, investing in new altcoin could be better.

So far, I've always liked Ethereum and BNB, and I might be leaning towards Ethereum. I really believe the potential for these two coins is very large in the future. if a bull run occurs, I'm pretty sure the prices of these two coins will be very high.
Apart from price potential, to date ethereum and BNB have clear benefits and are always being developed. In the past, I made quite good profits from ethereum, and I still hope to get the same profits from the coin. Apart from that, I have hopes for BNB to reach thousands of dollars in the future. I think that the potential of BNB is the same as ETH in the past.

I chose Ethereum. Of course that's my favorite altcoin. I know many others chose it too. But I'm also a fan of Litecoin. But I'm not using my favorite altcoins every now and then. I seldom use cryptocurrencies. It's mainly because of two things. One, I value them and I know their worth will multiply in the future. Second, there's not much use of my crypto really. I still use them of course. There's still gambling and moving funds in ways cheaper than using Bitcoin.

My favorite altcoin is Litecoin. Extremely reliable, proven, fast and cheap, in terms of transactions, altcoin. Plus it has a very wide distribution and has support almost everywhere, along with USDT TRC20. I often use these altcoins to transfer value between services or to pay for goods and services. Bitcoin sometimes lets down with its high transfer costs, there should always be a few reliable alternatives.

My favorite coins are LTC, BNB, XRP. Also I have few other coins in my choice list which I like to invest in. There are many aspects to liking these coins. I usually identify a coin by considering several aspects such as: What are the transaction fees of this coin and what are the future benefits of the coin. Because every coin is worth investing in. But ethereum network token is much better.

I'm not really into altcoins; I mostly stick to Bitcoin; however, the only altcoin I've actively invested in is BNB. First of all, it has its own blockchain, which enabled me to stake stablecoins back in February 2021 and manage to yield great results. The Binance Smart Chain is still one of the major reasons I believe in it; if I'm not mistaken, it still remains one of the most popular blockchains for staking and so on.

Moreover, the exchange itself is quite handy, even though it started having some issues lately after the SEC lawsuit and even disabled SEPA and credit card deposits for the Euro currency. It still remains the largest exchange on the market, though, offering decent benefits such as their debit card and BNB cashback. It remains a centralized exchange and prefers not to store large amounts of money, or Bitcoin, for this reason. So yes, for these reasons, I'm quite fond of BNB, despite the recent troubles it is facing, which I'm hoping will be resolved soon.

My favorite altcoin is BNB Ethereum XRP.  Because these coins are risk free and these coins have high utility and these coins have been in the market for a long time.  Although Altcoins are risky but these coins are completely safe.  I am saying from my experience that I have made a lot of profit by investing on these coins.  If we analyze the market we can see that Ethereum and BNB network token are very good. Also most investors prefer Ethereum after Bitcoin.

BNB's prospects are dim. Binance is constantly losing market share from all crypto exchanges. Binance is in trouble in many jurisdictions. Their BUSD stablecoin will soon cease to exist. If the exchange ceases to be the leader, BNB will not grow as much as it used to. If Binance goes bankrupt, BNB will suffer the fate of the FTT token. Among coins with their own blockchain, I would choose ETH, it is more reliable and has been on the market longer.

And I like its blockchain and that you can use Dapps on the blockchain. And it has large marketplace only behind Bitcoin. I do not like its high transactions fees but I do not send them very much.

I like Doge and Ethereum both are my favorite altcoins, Doge is like a sleeping giant after buying low I will wait for an important announcement by Elon Musk thereafter an instant impact of that announcement pump it price thus I take profit and waited for it price to reverse repeat the same process again, Ethereum shares almost the same Price Action similar to Bitcoin therefore it ability of having a lower price compared to Bitcoin is an advantage to buy more of the coin at a cheaper price as well as earning more profits when it price pump and another advantage is that also respond quickly when the price of Bitcoin pump massively compared to other altcoins.

I like Hive (https://hive.blog being frontline dapp). I'm quite biased here because it was first crypto that I was heavily involved in (I interacted with Steemit actually, Hive is fork of it — most of community moved to Hive from Steem after Justin Sun's takeover).

It's feeless and due to that p2e games (splinterlands, dcity, dcrops) on it are so much fun, no annoying fail transactions and paying unnecessary fees, less scams — it's like this place is different compared to rest of crypto which is riddled with scams, active community, plenty devs who always try to make useful dapps for ecosystem and contribute in their own way, account names (these evm chains are making big fuss out of it, before ENS came, Steem/Hive already had account names.

For those that have felt the pangs of altcoins will have a fine perception about my fears for that I have made peace with bitcoin avoiding all altcoins by all means.  There's a lot of hype with ethereum and that's because of how it's been closely following bitcoin and  the versatility it's gaining despite that, I won't put my two cents on it it's still an altcoin.

Without a doubt or second thought I would say Ethereum and there are numerous reasons to select Ethereum as my favorite Altcoin but I would always consider the fact that Ethereum was the only Altcoin out of thousands of altcoins available in the market to bounce back post the bearish market and Ethereum was the last major coin to red when all the other altcoins went through bloodbath once the Bitcoin's value dropped from over $20k to $3k in previous bear market.

One more reason is it's continuous development as the developers are really active and working tirelessly to be the best in the market unlike TRON which I had high hopes but it never achieved what it is capable o because Justin Sun was more in news for controversies rathen than showing any interest in development of TRON. I had great interest in the Altcoin named Utrust but it didn't had it's peak yet and hopefully in future it would be a big thing.

One of my favourite altcoins is GALA.
Why?
Well, they have halving in the tokenomics, something like BTC invented so it gives less inflation in the eco system.
They have millions to promote.
They want to be Steam on blockchain.
They are in the gaming industry, one of the biggest industries in the world.
They have actual products that are working.
Their token is cheap at the moment.
They have big community of 2 millions people or maybe more.

Well I like alot of altcoins but Ethereum is my favorite. I like Ethereum because there is a real use for it. I dont hodl so many of them but I do think in the next 'bull run' there is going to be some profits.

And I like its blockchain and that you can use Dapps on the blockchain. And it has large marketplace only behind Bitcoin. I do not like its high transactions fees but I do not send them very much.
I particular don't have any specific altcoins I will hodl dearly to me but I think I will do when the bull run has come because this is the only time when I get to actually choose an altcoin I will like to hodl because that period is going to be boom for some altcoins and you can certainly make lots of cash from them but for now I think I will go Ethereum too as they are the next close able coins after Bitcoin and I believe with time coming some much ground will be gained and enjoy for some folks actually HODLing this coin.

Solana (SOL) for sure.
Have been a very good investment for me so far, I have double the investment I did in Solana a couple of months ago.  :)
If I had the choose one ALT coin to go hard on for the next years it would for sure be Solana. I think Solana will climb much higher.

The choice between Ethereum and BNB was a tough one for me because I respect both of them. I choose Ethereum because I see it as the father of Altcoins. I know we now have other Altcoins on other blockchains, however, I still give due respect because Ethereum has been here, and it is even the first Altcoin to introduce a decentralized smart contract platform. And then it brought about the DApps we see today. BNB too has a lot of use cases. And both of them are also good for investment.

As if my favourite altcoin is still Ethereum. It has greater potential than other altcoins. Before the SEC allegations, I was a fan of Binance Coin, which is actually called BNB. Due to the massive dump, a lot of investors lost their funds in BNB, and still, it has been struggling to grow compared with other altcoins. Ethereum has a massive use case that is helping to grow it, and the biggest community is always backing it. Network fees don't matter for me, though they are still higher than those of other altcoins.

Ethereum is an extensive open source blockchain in cryptocurrency, there's strong team behind the projects and they're working effortlessly to meet up. Vitalik Buterin, co-founder of ETH, is interested on maximizing project profits and spreads. Are you contemplating whether or not to use ETH or BNB? The answer is undoubtedly ETH because it is a reliable project that has aided most traders and investors over the years, and its movement is closely monitored in parallel with the Bitcoin trend. Ethereum has gained enough footing to overtake BNB, Binance's native coin. ETH creates its own blockchain and is widely accepted in the system.

ethereum i think has the history of nearing the market capitalization of bitcoin its actually quite awesome. the fact that back then at around the rally ethereum is having its blockchain so congested that some people willing to shell out hundred of dollars just to pay for the fee speaks itself for the ethereum.
it was massively favoured by so many project that revolve around its EVM and until now ethereum has proven to be the most reliable altcoin to date with massive market capitalization.
I personally already bag so many ethereum at this point because i believe this coin gonna increase just right after bitcoin have a massive rally.

From the list you have provided ETH and LINK is the best project that can outperform it's previous bull cycle performance. Link have already shown significant growth after it's CCIP upgrade. LINK can be highly utilities by Blockchain interoperability to send messages from one Blockchain to others.

From outside of your list I am focusing on more narratives like RWA, web3, AI, Decentralized social media etc. I think all these narrative can perform extremely well in the upcoming bull cycle.

Each cryptocurrency has specific purpose and functionality so I really don't have a specific altcoin that would be best for me. In many cases, some of the altcoins mentioned above may be required to be used or used by many. However, I have needed to use altcoins like Tether and Tron in many cases. I like using such altcoins for quick editorial transactions. But if we notice that among all altcoins, Ethereum is an international essential multipurpose cryptocurrency. Ethereum was originally built on the Bitcoin blockchain.

I actually wished each altcoin had a real reason to exist, but other than to make money for the ones releasing that coin and for speculators to try to make money with it most altcoins have no purpose at all.

And as you may guess this means I do not really use a lot of altcoins, however by far the one that I use the most is ethereum as there are some services I use that do not accept bitcoin but they do accept ethereum, and other than ethereum I use stable coins from time to time as well, but I avoid holding them for long as you never know when the institution behind them could collapse and leave you with a bunch of useless tokens.

Currently, I am not holding any of the favorite altcoins I like; the only altcoins I am holding are most of the shitcoins, which have little possibility of becoming valuable coins. Although I like BNB because of CZ Binance and the Binance exchange, the exchange is a very popular one, which makes the coin have better usability, and I think if the exchange continues to exist, the coin value will likely increase. Ethereum is also an altcoin I like because the blockchain is very popular and the majority of projects are launched on it. Next is Dogecoin; it's one of the meme coins I like, followed by Matic; the transaction fee is too cheap.

In my portfolio have several altcoins holding but regarding with many altcoin kinds Ethereum is the first standings of my favorite altcoin, believe or not only Ethereum is most potential altcoin and not waiting for longer time recovery and back to higher price. Just few minutes earlier with Ethereum above $2k and looks not difficult to earn profit for investing in ethereum coin. Second place for favorite altcoin is BNB, although price drop drastically from $300 and ever on $210 last several week ago but BNB still promising with current price raise above $250.

BNB still second place as favorite coin because get benefit when holding BNB can participant on launchpool project in Binance, stake BNB you can earn new launchpool coins and earn profit as holding assets then new coin arrive in our Binance account.

I like [UTK]  UTRUST because they bridge the missing part of cryptocurrency where they solve the disadvantage of the buyer by creating an escrow system that ensure that the buyer will not get scammed by the seller.  I also like Polygon because of the potential of huge profit when the altcoin rally.  Aside from these two I also like TRX, LTC, Doge and other altcoins that have fast confirmation and cheaper transaction fee.

Currently, I am not holding any of the favorite altcoins I like; the only altcoins I am holding are most of the shitcoins, which have little possibility of becoming valuable coins. Shitcoins when lucky can change our lives, it maybe a shot to the moon but if it hits, it will make a life changing profit.  So I also think that it does not harm to have some shitcoins that has huge possibility to be pumped.

Of the ones you mentioned, Polygon, Tron, Ripple, Bnb, and Doge are there, but the others aren't there because I'm accumulating a lot of cryptocurrencies. To be honest, I think this upcoming bull run has the potential to rise.

But if I only have a lot of money to buy Ethereum, I will include it in my priority list for DCA weekly, but I will probably also try to somehow have holdings. And it seems more okay than Bitcoin collect. Although I'm not saying it's bad to save Bitcoin, the chances of me making a lot of money are low if I compare it to other cryptos that also have potential in the future.

Yea, but there are some of those shitcoins that have been in my wallet for more than two years now, and they are just worthless. In some cases, the project owners can just decide to swap the coin and ask you to pass some KYC, which they will not even verify until the period is over. I don't doubt that there could be some altcoins that can, luckily, boom the investor, but it's all luck. If you are not lucky, that means my assets have just been wasted.

Once again, if we are aware of these shitcoins, then we are really aware that it is a risk for us and there is no need to worry about it anymore. When you say that, it seems there is only one altcoin you see, or you think all of them are the same. But that was wrong. Like the OP said, there are thousand's of them. With that huge number, I'm sure there will always be altcoins who are performing better and can be trusted for more years to come because they already have an experience.

Investing for the long term, is not taxing in the body. We don't want to invest hundreds of cryptos here but 2 or 3 good cryptos can do well already. And even if you only invest in Bitcoin alone, that won't still give you a peace of mind if you are worrying about your investment. So don't be too confident about that.

I am just going with Ethereum, I guess, because we know Ethereum is the most stable altcoin among others. And the profit it gave was greater than any other coin. Because in the future, Ethereum will have more scope than Bitcoin. I know some traders and my friends who are holding more Ethereum than Bitcoin. The major reason for considering Ethereum is because of the advanced version of block chain technology compared to the Bitcoin block chain. The transaction time is shorter, more user-friendly, and there are more transactions at the same time as compared to the Bitcoin block chain. Maybe in the future, invent a better technology than now to resolve the current default.

However while it was a painful lesson at the time, I also learned from my mistakes and now regardless of the promises the developers of those coins make I simply ignore them, since I know they are just lying in order to get more people to buy their coins.

Most favourite altcoin? Well, that's automatic, I don't think someone is beating ETH in the altcoin market.
With its continued innovation in smart contracts technology and development of decentralised applications, nothing is more consistent than ETH.

I'm also using XRP because of it's low transaction fees. Also, BNB for my Binance transactions, also looking forward for this coin despite of all the issues and drama with Binance.

Ethereum has established itself as a prominent altcoin in the cryptocurrency market. Its smart contract usage has revolutionized the crypto world. The increasing acceptance of Ethereum by businesses and industries which showing its importance. Like you can see Blackrock also added Ethereum in its list of ETF.

BNB, I've invested in BNB and it gives me a good pay out. That was 2020-2021 if I'm not mistaken. Though I've invested in some alts before but BNB is my most favorite altcoin. Even if I invest again, I will still invest my money to BNB. I've got a good feeling about the coin and I will continue to support BNB all throughout.

Back 2018-2019 I'm into XRP, but XRP is so slow and I've lost a little money in that so I stop and wait for the right time to invest again.

Ethereum remains my first choice even if recently it has undergone ups and downs both in terms of value and reliability after the various forks and eips and the transition to staking but in my opinion it remains the best and the most versatile
Ethereum and litecoin are mostly people's first choice, because of how long they've stood the test of time, especially Here in my country.
But one issue people have with altcoin is there rise and fall attitude in their market value, which over time has scared a lot of investors.

And one I will like to invest in the future are Ethereum and ElonCoin if it is appreciating in value. As for Ethereum, this is the best time to invest because it appreciating and the value is encouraging to invest and ElonCoin is new to the system or industry so I have to observe and one thing that make people to invest on altcoins very well is when the coins list in most of the centralized exchange platforms and decentralized exchange platforms.

And for now I don't have favourite altcoins but I know that most people will take Ethereum because it is the second in line with bitcoin.

Out of over a thousand altcoins, the most popular altcoin to me is Ethereum. Ethereum moves closely with the Bitcoin market. Ethereum is the most popular for long-term investments. The only disadvantage of the Ethereum platform is its high transaction fees and the Ethereum platform has no disadvantages. I plan to grow my Ethereum investment by buying small amounts of Ethereum and holding it for the long term. I expect that if the price of Bitcoin goes up, Ethereum will also go up a lot.

$DEFX is my favorite altcoin since I am betting on more institutional awareness among crypto. This is a $6m Market Cap high potential project that is going to revolutionize institutional digital asset trading. Probably an easy 10x from current price point but I expect even a 100x. DYOR!

This week they announced their partnership with Commerzbank (1 of the Big Four banks of Germany).

My choice is definitely Ethereum(ETH) because it is versatile and powers numerous decentralized apps. Besides being a rockstar in the crypto space again, it's got a solid track record and the whole decentralized money DeFi scene is growing on Ethereum. You can even trade ETH and other altcoins on platforms like Bitget.

I use a multiple of coins for various reasons but what I love and want to see more are near instant transacting currencies with zero fees like Nano.
They are a bit popular along with their potassium filled brother Banano but they have not got much of the exposure they needs.
If they are mainstream, they'll make an excellent coin for day to day trades for goods and services. They could replace currencies.

It is difficult to save a particular coin for a bull market because they have the potential to profit during an ongoing bull market. Also in bull markets there are many altcoins dumping this I have seen in past bull markets so I am biased that you should collect all coins which have shown good investment in crypto market. As you will find from bitcoin its price was low only 1 week ago but now it has gone up a lot so investment should always be done with profit potential.

There are many altcoins in the cryptocurrency world, among which many people prefer many coins. However, among the most popular coins currently, Ethereum is the most preferred by most people. I think the future of this ETH is bright compared to all other coins, and it follows Bitcoin. And I think the best coin to invest in is Ethereum, second only to Bitcoin, I prefer Ethereum.

My favorite altcoin are Ethereum and Binance, because in my opinion the project that will last forever is blockchain, therefore I will definitely choose to invest in blockchain projects for the long term and of course I think Ethereum and Binance are blockchain projects that will definitely continue to be successful and the price will definitely continue to increase very high, because blockchain from Ethereum and Binance is very popular, so Ethereum and Binance will continue to survive and remain the most popular altcoin for long-term investment.

You have to know there are different types of people who invest in crypto according to their needs. As I have no trading skills I would definitely be encouraged to hold the tokens on your list. Again if you like trading or you find it easy then you can start by buying any best token. No one is working on one sided negative side in this crypto market here people are investing according to their different preferences.

My favorite altcoin for now are SOL and TON, because
1. have a good and popular project (blockchain)
2. prices are still cheap and have the potential to increase very high
therefore I was very interested and made SOL and TON my favorite altcoin.

Solana is now a days everyone's favourite coins because of its achievements and if this growth remains continue till halving then I think that I will become most favorable altcoin in all crypto industry. The main reason behind its success is that its transaction fees is lower and the price is going to skyrocket.

Those who have bought the Solana tokens at cheap price are lucky and I just think that current value is also good for investment because if we sell it at 200$ and above it then we can get maximum profit. Crypto altcoins are of great interest these days because the success rate of altcoin is greater but remember that don't be in Fomo and don't invest large amount in altcoin as they are  insecure.

It is important people must understand how much they should invest in tokens according to what they afford but not just to make a big profit . One of the problems that have led so many people into problems in investing is Greed which they forget that it is not a guarantee that every investment will lead to profit.

No one is an expert in trading or investing altcoins it is better for people not to go beyond what they can invest in, if it might end up being a terrible experience.

There should be a chapter in where all the newcomers are taking their lesson from. If you are making an investment only because your instincts says that it will be a good investment then you should not do trade at all. Token price won't go up with out any reason. There needs to be a news and events that will generate the momentum for the rally. So emotion like greed can only lead a investor to doom

In the mentioned chart, my choice is Ethereum and Litecoin. The growth of both the coins were to happen big. For now the price of Litecoin is really good that anyone can invest. With Ethereum it have grown and based on the backing it is predicted to reach much higher value in the long term. Litecoin following the footprints of bitcoin never serves to be a failed one, so my choice falls on it.

My favourite will be exchange tokens. The reason is that if you're trading with a good exchange and they intend to build, their token will surge in the process. Just take a look at BNB how it started with just $6 and now is over $200+

There are other exchange tokens out there that I know are good, like BGB. It was below 0.7 and now is trading at that price range and might go higher.

Aside from the price increase, holding an exchange token also comes with benefits. Thinking about launchpads and pools, fee reduction and other benefits

Each cryptocurrency serves a specific purpose in the digital landscape that caters to different needs and preferences. Factors such as transaction speed, convenience and fees are considered when considering the preferred altcoin. Like TRON (TRX) for its low transaction time and low fees, ETHEREUM (ETH) contributes to the investment appeal as a platform for widespread adoption and decentralized applications, LITECOIN (LTC) occupies a special place as a payment gateway.

My first investment in life started with investing in alt coins. I first invested in few alt coins with very small amount of money. Coins that were among them were
BNB
Ethereum
and Litecoin.
But I also invested in Dougie Coin.
BNB Coin is my favorite among all the alt coins in the cryptocurrency market. But many people may like other alt coins but for me BNB coin is preferred because I made my first investment in this coin and made some profit from it.

Mine is BNB and I am also making some consideration to ETH and SOL because of their successful development and updates. sometimes I trust other new altcoins as well after following news about them and how they will able to manage to rise up despite tight competition in the crypto market nowadays. I invested early on those and successfully so far I have gotten a decent amount of earnings from small capitals. If you are willing to invest your time by learning the right way to invest, you won't risk much on investing with your money because you follow the right path and make some good decisions because of it.

I like BNB for using it in Binance for various activities such as launchpool farming, launchpad tokensale participating.

I like Stablecoins for p2p trading when I want to withdraw my crypto in fiat cash. I convert them in stablecoin to sell them because that's easier.

I hope you sold some of your SOL holdings in December last year when it hit $126 because though it's good having a favorite altcoin and thinking it will give you more profit, a wise trader would never keep holding the assets forever without selling any of it when they are getting good profits on it, especially if its an altcoin they are holding as we all know altcoins are highly unpredictable. One minute they are high and going higher, and the next second you see it going down without a stop. Now we can clearly see that SOL has lost value, probably because Bitcoin is down but those who were holding it should have at least sold a portion of their holdings when it was above $120, especially people like you who have bought their tokens at a pretty low price.

SOL momentum is quite easy to understand for those who want to gain profits in a short time. I have benefited several times from SOL. no need to hold on too long, that's what I do. although from the perspective of investors, there must be some who will hold it for a very long time. because market growth and adoption of the Solana network are growing rapidly.

You have little bit diversified your portfolio but I think you should also hold manta because it is going to increase very soon and still it is a successful coin as many individuals have earned it through Airdrop. Arbitrum and Solana are your wise choice as now both of them are going with great achievements but if there is some dump during certain timing then it should not be a matter to be worried because all these are a part of crypto industry.

The better way to take benefit from Solana is to buy at dip and sell when there occurs pump because Solana is more volatile coin and very easily it is changing from lower to higher and from higher to lower. BUYING of Solana for lengthy time will reduces your profit therefore concentrate on your profit and continue the process of buying and selling because with a single decision we cannot make profit but we have to change our mind according to market situations.

There are more than one thousand coins in the altcoins section. Yet more are still coming every day. But even though all the coins different they are all having the same purpose because all are digital currencies and it is meant to buy and sell so anyone which the value is high should be the favor for someone and not the trash ones.

Why not include ADA in the poll? I think if you include XRP DOGE and even TRON you also need to include ADA in your list. I favor ADA because they have very good fundamentals. They have very stable connection and network speeds. I've heard a lot of good news about the ADA. Although the downside is that ADA has a long wallet address so it's less interesting in my opinion. But that's just a minor issue and I think ADA is worth investing in.

Amount those which are in your list I would say my favorite ones are Ethereum and Litecoin, mostly Litecoin because of the slow fees it has compared to Ethereum, allowing to send transactions in a very short time and paying almost nothing.
I also like Monero, because the privacy enhancing mechanism it has brought on the table and also because of this very low fees to use it.

I previously liked Dogecoin as well, but I had a quite distasteful experience while I was reading with it and from that day I decided not to touch Dogecoin again.
By the way, there are many projects which are quite relevant and are not included in this survey, I am curious OP gave attention to Bitcoin Cash and Tron but did not give any to ADA or Shiba Inu, both of them have more relevance and I think market capitalization than Bitcoin Cash at this time being, which is ironic, considering what Bitcoin Chas aimed to be as a fork of Bitcoin.

UMB is my choice, because I think UMB has a good potential in the future and currently UMB is still ranked 1033 on coinmarketcap, so when UMB enters the top 500 on coinmarketcap, then of course the price of UMB can increase very high and give me a big profits, so of course just by investing in UMB now, I can have the opportunity to become rich in the future, that's why I always DCA UMB every month and hold until the next bull run comes.

My most favorite digital currency has always been  Ethereum following Bitcoin. Bitcoin is and will continue to lead the crypto space as expected by most prominenet market analysts. cr Ethereum being the pioneer of smart contracts, Non-fungible token (NFT) is well recognized and established crypto currency with Billions of dollars invested on its protocols. It can potentially enhance its features significantly in coming weeks, and the upcoming update is anticipated to lead to signifiact reduction in transaction fee on its network.

The best altcoin in my opinion ETH, ETH marketcap is very large only inferior to bitcoin. continues to have a network that other dev coins can use to create coins. the shortcomings of the ETH network are large and expensive sending fees so that people are reluctant or rarely use it. even those who take part in bounty or airdrop using ETH are less interested in it.

It is good when we don't pull all our hope on a project and finally lose everything because we put all our concentration on project that would never last long in the market. We can make money from the market if we know how to split fund and invest in different projects with the hope of making profit at the later time.

Trading is indeed associated with, specially when you are newcomers in the market. Therefore, it is advisable to acquire some basic understanding of Technical Indicators and develop Risk/money management skills before taking entry in the crypto market.

On the other hand, making investment in leading cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin, Ethereum and Solana and hold them with a long term perspective, can offer significant profit potential in the future.

Still hold some up till now cause I could never forget what my Doge investment has given me as profits its my biggest win ever in crypto.

Post your favorite Altcoin below and tell us why you think so.

Yes there are more than a thousand altcoins in the market but among them I prefer Ethereum. We know that Bitcoin is the main cryptocurrency and Ethereum is the main among more than 1000 altcoins. Just as Bitcoin investment is less risky and reliable, Ethereum investment is less rational and reliable. All coins have pros and cons but considering all the pros and cons I like Ethereum and plan to buy and hold. Currently I invest in Ethereum and invest close to an Ethereum. I expect that when Bitcoin hits $100,000, Ethereum will cross $10,000 to $15,000.

there is no need of posting altcoin that you preferred because almost all the altcoin have the same volatility in the market so if someone should choose an altcoin that is very potential and very good in terms of investment at least you have an option of three or five bitcoins as a preferable that you can invest on without having any doubt.

Secondly some altcoins we know today many of them can die of during the process of long investment as some of them can also with stand a bearish season when you venture into a long investment which is some altcoin you choose as a preferable coin so therefore I believe that altcoin is not something that you have one as a preferable one because of it potential at a particular point of time so if you want to evaluate altcoins they should make a reference of 5 different altcoins.

That's right and quite a lot has been born and it's very confusing to choose, but today I like to pay attention to this one coin $ALT, the movement is quite fast and for those who like fast trading, you can pay attention to it. On the one hand, it is a newcomer in 2024, but it is not wrong to study it before buying, of course.

Is this what you called ALT? https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/altlayer/ altlayer mate? well it looks truly going up and now spikes at rank 115 nearing to break level 100 any days now so indeed that this might be good as favorite at leas in time being.
Cardano (ADA) and bitTorrent(BTT) are my favorite.
I have been watching Bittorrent for long now but never that I am impressed to the project , maybe because I am not a supporter of torrents ?

Honestly, I'm confused about which is my favorite altcoin. But one thing that is certain is that I make several altcoins my favorites because of their transaction speed and the cheap fees required for transactions. Like Tron. But within the community solid strengths and worth holding onto are ETH and BNB.

And many more based on their different categories and uses that make me like some altcoins.

I can relate with you there that it isn't easy to choose the favorite altcoin. I also don't know which altcoin is my favorite but honestly, I prefer altcoins where it's transaction speed is fast and also the fee is cheap. What I always use is xrp for transferring purposes since it's transaction fee and speed is good. BNB is good too but you can say that's what I will use either BNB, ETH or XRP (most of the time) because it is very cheap especially for people like me who doesn't have lots of crypto.

The Bitcoin halving might have an immediate impact on the market. but in previous experiences, it still takes time after the halving occurs. people who believe in crypto assets, will not leave the market that easily. They know how long they will wait and in the end, they will enjoy the benefits.
I hope that people who hope the market will pump very quickly after the Bitcoin halving occurs will not be disappointed. investing requires knowledge and experience. This is not just how strongly you hold assets.

The Bitcoin halving is indeed a crucial event in cryto landscape which can potentially trigger surge in Bitcoin's price due to scarcity. Numerous market analysts expect surge in Bitcoin price in upcoming halving event that can potentially make new all time high (ATH). Therefore to take advantage of this event, the best adviseable strategy is to acquire Bitcoin by employing DCA strategy.

I believe that at this point in time, the merit of ETH is only that it was an innovator in smart contracts, just as bitcoin was the first cryptocurrency at the time. Therefore, the championship belongs to him, since everyone knows him and knows that this cryptocurrency will not go anywhere. I personally prefer Fantom and BNB because of their super fast transactions and low fees.

My favourite altcoins are ethereum,  BNB . This are prominent altcoins that one can invest in without any fear and this coins have gain much popularity in the market.  Apart from This coins being popular they are not bad for investment,  which they have better value compared to new coin that one can't even tell Iif it will last in the market.  The top altcoins are my favourite altcoins because I think they are more reliable one to invest.
Because of the gas fee, many investors are not always thinking of investing in some projects that are built on Ethereum Blockchain.
The fee is too much especially converting and buying the coin on decentralized exchange. Ethereum is a good project but the team still need one more thing to do to make it more suitable and better than the Binance Smart Chain.
I am more relaxed when buying coins built on other Blockchains because I can easily swap my coin.

Currently Matic coin ever on all time highest price above $2 and sure for next season halving has chance returning back to highest price or make new all time high price.

Ethereum is currently the best altcoin and can only be beaten by bitcoin, so it is still an attractive investment, and many investors still have hope in it.
Maybe for a long time, there will be no altcoin that can compete with Ethereum, and besides, there will be surprises that we don't expect.
But I agree with friend, who says that BNB is also an altcoin that is worthy of being an alternative because of the achievements made so far.
and I agree with these friend that, in terms of transaction speed and fees, it is clear that BNB is better than ethereum.
So if you have extra funds, there's no harm in using them as an additional alternative to investing in BNB.

For the cheapest costs there are many options including the Zil Network and it can be done sending Zil from the exchange to the market only requiring a small zil as a delivery fee. for trading it may be true that BNB provides its own level of comfort if trading is not like other Altcoins in terms of defense and price maintenance .

Now, we will witness bitcoin price movements, only experienced investors and traders can face this long-standing bearish trend. If we are still beginners in this market, I think our mentality and emotions can go down and give up. But we can't do this, we have to keep working hard. this market.

Is it that important for us to have a favorite altcoins? I don't think this is necessary and we need to make decisions that will always make us earn more from the market. Those that understand how to invest in multiple project at the same time will know what to do and how to go about things to earn more from the market. Cryptocurrency is a platform that is opened to anyone that want to invest with the mindset of earning from the market. Once we understand what to do and how to do it, we might not have any issue.

Ethereum is my favorite among alt coins. I have made a lot of money by buying Ethereum and holding it long term. Ethereum has the ability to keep pace with Bitcoin. Ethereum has been able to take the place next to Bitcoin. And in Ethereum investment, the financial risk is less to bear. This is why long-term investing in Ethereum is my favorite. Although there are thousands of altcoins in the cryptomarket, Ethereum is still the best of my choice.
Ethereum is a groundbreaking blockchain platform. It is very famous for its smart contract functionality. It is capable of creating and deploying decentralized applications (DApps). In the next version, Ethereum 2.0, Ethereum main goal is to implement a proof-of-stake consensus mechanism and increase its stability. Moreover, Ethereum has the potential to give users a good profit in the future.

Everyone definitely has their own perception, and so do you. I think it's normal to buy altcoins that are cheaper than Ethereum, have a good position, and can provide positive results. BNB is clear at the current price of $323; of course, it is still affordable to buy, and it is true that transaction fees are cheap and fast, but there are also good ones like SOL; of course, don't miss them.

I like BNB the most because it has very low network fees and trading this token is a lot of fun.  I like it very much because bnb has zen network tones which you can easily do everything you want and you can pay very easily if you want and your network fee is very low.  Also there are some other favorite tokens which I have in second like Matchik which is very good to me personally.  Lite Coin.  Dougie Coins are actually on my favorites list but I don't like them as much but I use them occasionally but the fees are very low.

I know that BNB is now well-known and very familiar in many cryptocurrency communities, apart from its attractive features ranging from speed, low fees, and the idea of creating smart contracts, it will be a great coin and a serious competitor to existing coins such as ethereum.

I see that Dogecoin is also good and can be used as an addition to your portfolio if you want and until now the price is still in the cheap category apart from the strength of the community and I think that in the future investors will really pay attention to this coin too.

If you want to invest, you can be sure that, as you say, they will know how to manage when to buy and when to sell. because wrongly anticipating everything that is done will result in losses that will occur, and that is not liked by investors. Up until now, it is clear that bitcoin is the main choice, and don't forget the best altcoins such as Ethereum, BnB, and Sol Don't forget, however, that it doesn't rule out the possibility that it will provide new surprises. If you have enough funds, you can definitely buy more, but it's true that there are fewer coins, but the amount is increased. I think it's better so that it's easy to control, CMIIW.

The favorites are altcoins whose performance is quite stable, such as Ethereum, BNB and Dogecoin, even though this is only a memecoin, it cannot be denied that its success has survived to this day and has become one of the altcoins traded on many major exchanges with high volume, proving that many people support Dogecoin, whereas ethereum and BNB are the altcoins that I think have the clearest development. There are several other altcoins that I also like but that's just to like them, not to keep them.

You have a few layer 1, privacy blockchains in your portfolio. I don't understand what the point of holding a competitor coin is in a category. Litecoin, Bitcoin cash was created to be a better version of bitcoin which they failed to become. So if you still believe in bitcoin there is no point of holding these two instead of bitcoin. The same thing applies to others like ETH, NEO, Solana. If you believe either one of them will succeed then it will be better to stay with that and short term price action should not deceive you.

Solana, BNB, and TRX are straight scams and it's sad to see people shilling them. ADA not much better. MATIC also trash centralized bullshit. And DOT and XRP lol.

Grin is the best altcoin, then a toss up between Monero and Wownero

There are 1000's of Alternative Crypto-Currencies out there, but which one do you actually use?

Post your favorite Altcoin below and tell us why you think so.

Altcoins are among the most challenging to pick. The biggest challenge is to choose which coin from thousands of coins in the market, which coin to get profit from. When someone gets a good profit from a coin, that coin becomes his favorite. Personally, my first favorite altcoins Ethereum and this coin is the most trusted of all altcoins. Apart from Ethereum I would prefer to invest in the top ten coins as current investments and holding until the upcoming Bullrun will yield huge profits from the coins.

I expect that among all altcoins in the future, Ethereum will become more popular for long-term investment.
No doubt, Ethereum is the best altcoin to invest in because it is very reliable.  Investing in Ethereum is very profitable especially when it is longterm investment.  After Bitcoin Ethereum can be considered as another good investment to make good profit. Ethereum is enough to be a investment for me, instead of me going for shitcoins that I can easily lose all my money on.
yes, there are no doubt in ethereum investment for long term, because it's launched in the crypto market as a first altcoin and it's always keep the rank number one,
it's favorite altcoin but it's a few thousands worth coin so lack of fund everyone can't buy it more and hold long term. so many of investors looking to buy random coins where too risk and also good profits.
