Title: What's your favourite Alt-Coin, and why?
Post by: btcswimmer on November 09, 2023, 06:08:31 PM
What's your favourite cryptocurrency besides Bitcoin?

Maybe Monero, with its privacy, scalability and fair mining?
Ethereum, with its innovative smart contracts?
Maybe Litecoin, the old and trusted low-fee coin?
Or Bitcoin Cash, which tries to follow Satoshi's vision?
Or, why not, Dogecoin, the funny coin?

Pick your favourite and reply here why you love it!

You didn't need to create a new thread to discuss something when the same thing is being discussed already in a previously created thread.

Here is the thread: What's your Favorite Altcoin and Why? (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5470105.0) created by BitcoinBarrel (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=112877)

OP, as other members have pointed out, you made a new topic about something that is already being talked about in another thread. I get wanting to add your voice, but making a whole new thread can come across as spammy. It is better to join the existing conversation instead. No biggie, just something to keep in mind going forward and  lets lock this one up and head over to the other thread.

My favorite is Ethereum. This is die to the fact that ethereum made available, the first open source and public turing complete system for blockchains which solved an inherent problem with Bitcoin — which is the ability to write native applications on top of bitcoin. As someone who writes and reads solidity code and have played around with the EVM and other nitty gritty details of the technology, it is easily my most loved crypto (Bitcoin is #1). Ethereum pioneered the development of at least 80% of the top 100 cryptos right now on coinmarketcap since all of those are either EVM-based, an improvement to EVM, L1, L2, etc.

At first seeing this particular topic, I thought it was same topic but I later reliaze that it's actually a now one and would like to point that this particular one isn't all that needed. But with being said, I think my reply will still be that I don't have a particular altcoins which I will point out as my favorite but if their is any I would grade different against other altcoins would be the Ethereum coins as it has gain a name for itself in the crypto Market.

I don't have favourite altcoin. I frequently check low cap altcoins more than any of these coins you listed like they are my favourite especially when i invest in any. Although, I pair ETH with most of my coins on Bitget smart portfolio which I use to Balance my holdings but I do that because its the strongest among them not because I like it more.

I was also thinking as much. These has been posted here already so no need to duplicate several related topic but to concentrate on a particular one and make it more attractive.

There are thousands of alrcoin out dere. But depending on the individual different. Despite the low quality review of Many people on altcoin I think there are still useful ones with great future like I said before BNB is a good altcoin because it has been funtioning as a fuel in many wallet, meaning it serves as a transaction fee in coin swapping as smart contract.

My favorite altcoin is Terra Classic LUNC. There are efforts from Terra Classic community to burn the token and reduce its total supply.

https://www.luncmetrics.com/

It's about 1% of its total supply has been burned since May 2022 when the Terra LUNA crash.

My most favorite coin has been since it was launched in 2017 and I used to trade in around its price hovered $30. The reasons I likr it most is its strong and robust use case, unrivaled by any other altcoin. It is the leading coin of alts market because its network is utilized for deploying smart contracts, creating dApps, digital arts (NFTs) and many mores. The problem with Ethereum network is its comparatively high transaction fees, which is likely to come down after upcoming upgrades.

There are also new coins in the market we can make a lot of profits from if we are ready to hold. There are plenty meme coin in the market now juts like Pepe, Memeland and other we can keep our eyes on buying and accumulating as much as we can so thatbwe can make good profits from our portfolio of meme coins when the bull market we had been waiting for finally comes. Meme coins can give us some good profits if we know how to identify good meme coins that are being launched in the market.

You are absolutely right, there are lot of other. coins in meme coins sector those can potentially yield good profit in the bull market, such as meme, floki and shiba inu. However, there is prevalent perception  that meme coins are generally associated with pump and dump schemes, as they are primarily used for fun purpose. In stead, I would recommend to invest in those alt coins which have strong use case, such as Ethereum, Chain Link, Solana and Dot.

Ethereum without a doubt.
It's not about being the favorite actually, it's just about relying on what it will bring in the future, money-wise. It's the top altcoin for a reason and because of that many investors will keep on going back to Ethereum and purchase it making the demand soar to a number that is unexpected.
Just like now, it's back to Over $2000 again and it will keep on rising while the best cryptocurrency is also going up. Bitcoin.
I think that Ethereum will always be the wiser choice when it comes to investing in cryptocurrency and we should stop wasting time looking for a gem that is like a needle in the haystack. It's a waste of time, money, and effort, we will just keep on hurting our wallets by buying different coins that won't really give something back in the future.
Ethereum on the other hand, just needs patience because it's going upwards no matter what. There will be dumps because it's part of how the market behaves but it's still going up after that.

From the list it is ETH and Polygon. ETH for being more resilient with its adoption and user growth. There were some projects that had community support but they failed to keep that community intact. That community splintered in several other project and the original project lost its cause. ETH shows its performance, growth and adoptive nature in any market demand.

Polygon I like industrial-grade highly scalable blockchains. It has a massive community, low gas fees and support from the main ethereum community. The most important part is that they have the support of big companies that they have partnerships with.

ETH has always been the second best alternative coin after Bitcoin to invest because they really have benefits that can make everyone benefit each cycle, apart from what you express the other few sentiments from the development of ETH is also planned to make the same ETF submission as Bitcoin ETF , of course this will be a bullish sentiment for the development of ETH prices in the future with its advanced technology.

I also like polygon because they do a pretty good development for scalability and transaction costs, as well as other things they update for the development of their ecosystems, I have heard that polygon/matic will change its name to pol with the latest proposal in which there is an integration of progress Polygon network.

Well for me its Bnb cause Ive seen it grow and have a lot of use case on their website. I personally like launchpad and launchpool where you can have access to new tokens on the market by staking your bnb. Of course you need a lot to gain a lot. Also the fees are save when you have bnb and used it for payment. There are also other altcoins that I like but this is on the top of my list.

Not only the name matic is changing its whole business model. Now the POL token will power its entire native chain. It has different chains for different purposes but now all of its chains will be connected through a POL token and the community will be able to participate in all the chain consensus by staking only one token. This seems cool to me and correct me if i made any mistake understand the whole thing.

I voted ltc but monero, eth, doge are too my favorite alts. Doge is for the lulz (cheap too), ltc is cheap and wellknown, xmr is good for staying anonymous, eth is cool because smart contracts and shiet. There are other good alts too in your list but I think eth, ltc, doge and xmr are the best ones overall. Bnb for example can’t survive without binance. It is a good alt as long as binance is operational but the moment binance goes down, bnb will go down with it and I don’t like to bet on binance’s well being. I would rather hold a decentralized project like ltc instead. Binance or any other exchange may go down but ltc will live on regardless.

I'm happy to tell you that I also like POW coin over others - but I think taking advantage of the good opportunities of some other altcoins like ETH and BNB wouldn't hurt either. ETH was one of the altcoins that caught my attention early on - but I don't make it more than 5% of my investment portfolio because I tend to focus on bitcoin in the long term.

Ethereum has given me commensurate returns as far as I invested a small budget there - but regarding BNB, it is just a temporary investment asset for a short-term plan. LTC is certainly better compare thousands of other altcoin from future potential - but that doesn't mean BNB and Ethreuem don't have it.

This question is repeated periodically and you will get a mixture of answers, but it is useless. All of us view alternative currencies as a short-term investment, and since you are investing, all you are looking for is the highest return of profits and not any other details.
Obtaining the highest return means that you are trading, which means buying and selling in the short-term, and therefore all the suggestions here will not be valid for the next week.
The best investment is Bitcoin as a long-term investment, and you should look for opportunities for short-term investment.

ETH and BNB is on my top list as they are on a better position now and of course a lot of small tokens that also brings profit to me. Altcoins are ok in general, all you have to do is to choose the best project to invest with and know when to buy and sell, take advantage of the current market trend and you’ll be good for sure.

That’s also in my top list and I just want to add here SOL because over the past week it moves like crazy and having a 1,000% of increase, lucky to those who have this and fortunately I was able to buy at a cheaper price too. Now I have to watch it again and wait for a good time to buy again better to check SOL too and join this crazy trend, the market is rising now better to choose your best altcoins wisely.

When dogecoin was much cheaper I would use it for gambling. Once it attracted attention from Musk and started pumping I swapped it for BTC. The community became really annoying and obsessed with Elon Musk. It was no longer fun to hold this coin so I dumped it. It's difficult to find interest in altcoins aside from just speculating. There are some privacy coins with interesting features but lack of businesses and exchange support has kept their prices depressed. I have dumped most of my altcoins after their prices started coming down in the bear market. I was attracted by the slick marketing and potential of high returns but in the end they didn't offer enough to compete with Bitcoin.

I think favorite altcoin would be Ethereum not because I have used or currently holding it but because it is way up there with Bitcoin at the top. There are millions of altcoins there but the fact that some of do tend to dump easily make them have a bad name in the cryptocurrency industry and this is why I choose Ethereum, because for some reason Ethereum has been there with Bitcoin at the top and still survival up there, infact some would argue that Bitcoin being the king of crypto, Ethereum is second followed by it.

Altcoins are not trustable therefore beside bitcoin we cannot trust any other coin. But if there is comparison among altcoins then ethereum is a good option which can reduces your fear of lossing and will enhance your trust on altcoins. Ethereum can build your trust but other altcoins are not as much profitable as that of bitcoin and Ethereum.

Every person's favorite coin is bitcoin and due to disappearing nature of altcoins people are not so much interested in altcoin's investmen. Some altcoins are good like matic but people when examined the zero value of most of altcoins after sometimes and also there are lots of scam coins in altcoins therefore interest for altcoins become diminish.

My first choice is Bitcoin but the most preferred altcoin is Ethereum. We know that Ethereum is one and only among thousands of altcoins. Ethereum is standing at $2048 in line with the Bitcoin market. While the unique altcoin market has not grown with Bitcoin, Ethereum has grown with Bitcoin. But Ethereum may be unpopular with some people due to high transaction fees but I think it will decline very quickly and return to normal. Rest assured that Ethereum will recover its market and set a new ATH record.

From a topic link that is shared on this thread, it is clear that similar topic like this has been started before this one by another member of this forum. But since this one is not locked, I can as well make my contributions here, because i bumped into it first

Although I've not invested in any altcoins before, the only cryptocurrency that i have interest in for now is bitcoin. But from my personal research about altcoins and from the way people rate them, i think that ethereum, should be my preference in all the altcoins. I believe that in the rating of all cryptocurrencies, after bitcoin, ethereum follows, so if i were I novice that is looking for the best altcoins to invest in, with all the ratings in Google and in this forum, it'll have to be ethereum. This is by no means downgrading other reputable altcoins. I hope to have another crypto investment one day, to complement the bitcoin investment that i have, and when I'm ready for that, it'll have to be ethereum.

I'm sure most people will choose ethereum as the main altcoin of choice, because if you look at the fundamentals and the project, of course ethereum is very good and has the potential to have a good future.

and I actually hold a lot of altcoins besides ethereum, although there aren't many, and among them my favorite altcoin is Fantom(Ftm) polkadot, and I also have a mainstay meme coin, namely pepe coin. and the reason I hold Pepe coins is because I see that Pepe coins are still cheap and I also hope that Pepe coins will rise very high during the bull run, but still the number of altcoins that I hold a lot is ethereum because ethereum can still be called the king of altcoins. and always trending on the market.

but there are already people who have created topics like this, namely: Bitcoin barrel

I dont have any favorite crypto coin or project. All I am interested is to make profits from the market. Any coin that tend to give me profits is what I could hold more and buy more of it. We don't have to be emotional in the market, we are in to make the profits and leave without no trace. Since there are many crypto projects in the market, we can buy any cryptocurrency project of our choice taking the risk of investing in the project with a better reward if the project become successful and give us better profits.

I have voted, Ethereum is the best for me.
why not Doge or meme coin?
For me, I'm not a high risk taker, so ignore memecoin

Even if I must choose other altcoins aside Ethereum, I will go for BNB and Matic, it will never be to meme coins.

there are rumour that Ethereum ETF is on the way, it will be good news if that truly happens for anyone that heaviy bag holding ethereum because it'd mean instant increase in value.
not to mention the fact that ethereum has been eager breaking through its resistance, i'm sure ethereum will reach $3k in no time, after all the ATH is far beyond that point.
this is the thing that many favour with coin like ethereum aside from the fact that liquidity is abundant, also the market capitalization is huge, its also being accepted everywhere even ETF creating opportunities for holders to get profit from holding it.
aside from ethereum I guess is also the same smart contract based blockchain like matic that i'd favor, the fundamental doesn't lie its just as good as ethereum but lower market cap and also lower price.

Cool to see ethereum leading, that is also my choice as well. I mean being on the side of the winner is not a wrong thing when the money is on the line. Yes, the David vs goliath story is a tale as old as time and people love it when a smaller opponent wins, but I am not using my money to make that happen, I think ETH is second for a reason and that's why I picked that one. It makes sense to a point because it allows you to make a lot better return. The others that are not ranked as high has a risk, some of these are not even ranked all that well, and could drop on the next bull run and be replaced by something new.

So, it makes more sense to put your money into ETH, and assume that it will keep its second place, and get closer to bitcoin and you will make a bigger return. This is of course just assumption, but to assume second highest rank to stay there is better than assuming 11th ranked would stay there, because that one is a lot more riskier in the end.

It is always good to discuss favorite cryptocurrencies. Personally I like Ethereum. Its innovative smart contract functionality has revolutionized the blockchain space. The Ethereum network scalability improvements are also promising for its future growth and adoption. Additionally, the vibrant Ethereum community and the constant development of new projects on the platform make it an excellent choice for me. I must admit that Dogecoin fun nature also brings a smile to my face

So basically the profit I got hodling doge had made me developed that love for dodge coin.
Great for you bro but it would be better to add other altcoins, just in case DOGE won't repeat that same thing again because like you said it was only just a meme coin and we all know meme coins, right? They lack in utility or they don't have any at all. Some are only lucky that they are being hyped/manipulated by the big people and those who invest on them are also lucky to earn a profit.

Aside from the profit, Dogecoin still have other charms on why there are people who have developed a liking for it. It has a cute logo and a cute back story. We should only treat it this way and not in a serious manner that we will put most of our wealth on it and bet that it will rise more in the nearest future.

Maybe Monero, with its privacy, scalability and fair mining?
40% of all (soft) supply emitted in just the first year? Launched with a crippled PoW? Not my top choice of fair mining.

I vote the the coin that has the fairest emission: 1 coin per second forever.

What's your favourite cryptocurrency besides Bitcoin?
There is nothing better in the world than a bitcoin.

Maybe Monero, with its privacy, scalability and fair mining?
Monero may turn into a coin-outcast due to its privacy (which regulators don’t like), which will only be traded in narrow circles (exchangers).

Ethereum, with its innovative smart contracts?
Everyone likes the profitability of Ethereum, not a smart contracts.

Let the founders solve the issue of endless emission and premine / early investors.

Maybe Litecoin, the old and trusted low-fee coin?
Who needs this old slag that even the founder abandoned?

Or Bitcoin Cash, which tries to follow Satoshi's vision?
Please don't mention this trash in a decent forum.

Or, why not, Dogecoin, the funny coin?
Of course NOT, that sunny shitcoin.

Pick your favourite and reply here why you love it!
Don't like any of it. It's all garbage.

You can play around with these coins a little, but it’s better to get rid of them quickly.

you can not go wrong with doge because of its price. it's still the cheapest coin that is above the rank of the majority of the altcoins listed in big exchanges, they beat it all despite doge being just the start of a joke.

and it has the use case that one would need who gambles around in crypto. almost all casinos you can see in crypto, i bet doge is accepted. for doge as an investment, it is also favorable because its already popular. if it goes up every bull market, it sure will do this coming bull run. last but not the least, the transaction fee of BTC that users complain all the time during bull run is not happening with doge.

You're right - its success is driven by community charm and social excitement, not by how useful it is. The strength of human belief should not be underestimated, though. This is demonstrated by Dogecoin's longevity.

The cute image and background of Dogecoin make it look good,a. More than its financial strength, its attraction comes from its cultural value. Different types of crypto are great for the market. A more well-balanced collection might include coins that are very useful, have innovative technology, or have support from the community. Coins that offer new ways to fix problems in the real world, make technology better in unique ways, or have a strong, loyal community could be investments in the technology and ideas of the future.

Dogecoin has a place in the cryptocurrency world, but it shouldnt be seen as a real investment plan. Instead, it should be seen as a symbol of how weird and unpredictable cryptocurrency can be. We should enjoy its appeal, but before we invest, we should know what part it plays in the crypto ecosystem.

Reading first few lines of your response caught my attention like how can someone take doge seriously but you ended it on a right note, Doge can only be considered as a example how weird and unpredictable crypto can be, I mean a coin which was created just as fun shot up to fame because of tweet and mention from Elon Musk and even those wise investors who are really picky about their investment ended up funneling their funds into Doge.

I can see some have mentioned how they got good profit from doge but at the end it couldn't hold on to the value so it can never to considered as an investment but we can play around in case if it becomes talk of the town again but trading with this coin but should never hold it.

I agree with you. Ethereum is the best of all the alt coins out there. It's one of my favorites. If any coin ranks after Bitcoin it is Ethereum. Ethereum ranks first among altcoins. I have noticed that as the price of Bitcoin rises, so does the price of Ethereum which can be a great way for investors. Ethereum is one of the best altcoins to invest in. Choosing Ethereum rather than chasing all other alt coins in the market with time priority will be the best way to go for the future.

Cryptocurrency is broad, we can't never take aides with these persons rather we've made some solid opportunities that brings constant aims back and I've watch some crazy love and care this season. Do you know choosing Ethereum as favorite project, happens to be one of the wise and also unwise action. Ethereum is absolutely after the price actions of Bitcoin, if bitcoins pull down, ETH will drop, when it pumps, ETH, having no votilitaltcoin happen to be BNB because it's a native Binance project, and one thing to be the frighten about is the volatility of the system and the hugh losses recorded.

Before I have always included Monero. It's really privacy wise but it's not all about the privacy this time but also about economically. If you're holding it and you're for the profit of it, the profitability this time is lesser than before. That's why one of my favorite these days is Ethereum.
No questions needed to be asked because we all know why is it the most favoured altcoins in the market and why it is in the top. For consecutive years, it's been consistent on the top 2 and the reasons behind it is its ecosystem.

I am not a big altcoin guy but my favourite of the whole bunch is by far ethereum because it is so vital to a large percentage of the entire altcoin eco-system. Without ethereum a whole bunch of the excitement & interest in altcoins would not exist. Ethereum has a use case which is more than can be said for most altcoins. I expect the price of ethereum to continue increasing over the mid to long term.

It might sound strange but I like Ripple because of how convenient it is to use and you can just simply send it fast with low transaction fees. I've been using it for a while now since I know how to use crypto and I haven't found any problem with it. I just don't feel like using it as investment materials because it's centralized. I'm afraid of getting frozen when some of my transactions are malicious to them. As I said, if you want to save some money from transactions caused by big fees when using the other altcoins, I think XRP is fine and good for you as long as you know how to use it and your local exchanges support it.

I voted for Litecoin because I have been working with it for a very long time, the second option is Trx since it is available on all exchanges and the commission is most often small for withdrawals and the transaction transfer speed is one of the best, Litecoin is also good because it has small commissions but the transfer speed transactions are not as fast.

Solna is my favorite alt coin despite the high value of Ethereum.Due to which I have submitted my vote to Solna.
Those who invest in cryptocurrencies must invest in various coins be it Ethereum, Litecoin, BNB and many others.
I have invested in several alt coins but out of all the alt coins I invested in Solna got good profit.Which is why Solna is my favorite alt coin. But I have seen in the case of investing in alt coins, it is not possible for anyone to get profit from alt coins if they do not invest for a long time.

My favorite altcoin besides Bitcoin is Binance, because I think Binance is the best altcoin at the moment and good for the long-term investment, that's why I chose Binance and the reasons are,
1. Binance is ranked first for cryptocurrency exchange
2. Binance is in second place for blockchain projects (below Ethereum)
3. Binance is in 4th position on coinmarketcap
so of course that makes Binance worthy of being my favorite altcoin, because by investing in Binance for the long term, then of course I will definitely get a big profits in the future.

Besides bitcoin! Then i can go vote on ethereum even i have some like bnb and arb. Dependent tokens and I always collect more of these tokens to consider them long term. Moreover you can collect such tokens for daily trading if you want. In fact investors buy different types of tokens and when they get profit and they have a new experience. So in terms of investment token collection is different but your best investment will be the one you can save with experience.

I do agree that BNB is a great one, I do however enjoy ETH too so there is nothing wrong with that, I am not capable of saying it is the second most liked or first or third, I can just say that it is certainly a coi nthat I like investing. I have more than 10% of my money in BNB right now ,and I am quite happy with that, I have about 20% in ETH as well, so I am trying to buy more BNB in order to make sure that they are equally there, I want to make it 15-15% and have 50-60% on bitcoin if possible, that is what I try to do.

Maybe I can do 50% at btc, and 20-20% with bnb and eth, that would mean that the rest is just risky stuff and I can lose them and it is not really a big deal for me when I lose that much. Having 10% at risky stuff is not a big deal because they are definitely not a huge amount of situation, you should be careful about them and you should be considering them as normal, even if it goes down completely, the rise on others would cover the difference.

For the lulz, Dogecoin. It's really a fun cryptocurrency because of the fact that it's made for the lulz and it has been trending because of the crypto boom during the pandemic. It's going to be the part where you need to really believe in the project to make sure that you are with the right coin.

That would depend on your why and mine, if it's an altcoin, it would be just the lulz

BNB is an exchange coin though it has a big ecosystem in BSC but still its is still heavily influenced by Binance. So any negative news or impact on binance or CZ can cause a panic dump in BNB. BNB proved to be one of the best projects that gave investors a lot of profit in the last bull run but it was still a risky one as binance was targeted by the SEC more frequently than ever. I think there are better projects that exist in the market so i want to choose their alternative.

My favorite Cpin besides bitcoin is ethereum. Because for me, ETH still has more potential that we can see, especially since the price of Ethereum is still at a 60% discount from its ATH. Now I'm starting to get back into ethereum for the long term. For me Bitcoin remains gold 2.0.

Bitcoin and ethereum were created for different missions. Bitcoin is for the Global Reserve currency and Store of value, while ethereum is for the payment system in its expanding ecosystem. If users want to adopt crypto, they must enter ethereum first. If a user wants a store of value that is portable, decentralized, and has limited supply, definitely go to Bitcoin first. the reason I make Ethereum my favorite altcoin is because ethereum can provide yields in the staking pool. By staking our ethereum in the staking pool, it means we have participated as validators without having to run a node. Then I can use Ethereum to be eligible for retrodrop.

I don't have a personal attachment to any alts other than making a profit out of my investment which is the one and only priority. I don't have a favorite alts except for any project with the potential to increase my financial status. I have been disappointed several times by project team to want to have a fav alts, even the dev in most cases doesn't care much about their project besides making money from investors.
Even if I eventually have to choose, it will be bnb only because CZ is capable of handling any unforeseen circumstance and the network is dirt cheap.  8)

This is the way a trader should think, a trader should only be interested in picking the right markets to trade and then selecting the right moment to enter and to get out of them, everything else is secondary, and I really think that it is precisely because of that favoritism that so many traders get in some big problems, since they miss opportunities to invest in some markets just because they do not favor them and overtrade others because they like them.

Not all problems are base critical, with some common sense are little. Choosing altcoins as a choice? Ofcourse it doesn't ring a bell to me because there are much project that would have blend in, or are you telling me you can confidently invest in memecoins without finding your mistakes. Choosing is our personal decision and enforcing our eyes on prominent projects tends to be very difficult because all project seeme faded out. I'm strongly interested in anticipating in Changpeng Zhao projects this season and Binance. He's a top whale in the market and Binance native token, BNB will go far just as Bitcoin and Ethereum in the market.

Binance coin,  BNB and Ethereum,  this are my most preferred altcoins for some long-term holding and reason why I choose BNB as against other coins is because with BNB I am sure that the coin will maintain its relevancy in the market since it is already used as the utility coin for the world largest exchange binance.

So for that,  bnb has good liquidity support from the exchange which will make and increase the coin's value and relevancy in the market for a long-term basis,  and at some point, Ethereum also has recorded such milestone that makes it a suitable investment.

obviously I would say ethereum because ethereum is the king of altcoins and one of the safest crypto investments besides bitcoin. You need to know that ethereum has been my favorite altcoin since 2017, therefore from then until now ethereum has been my second biggest investment after bitcoin. but recently I have been more active in investing in BNB because I see that the future of BNB is also very bright because of the support from the largest exchange namely Binance.

I really can't point at any of these altcoins because they are all credible. I like to think that most of them have something unique that caused their creation. I don't remember playing around with Monero, Litecoin, and Avalanche though. The remaining would get equal votes from me. I would have also loved to add XLM (and I strongly believe it would have had votes too). Why? Stellar's transaction fee is pretty low and yet the transaction speed is fast.

Ethereum and Polygon are profitable altcoins therefore if a person wants more profit then these two are good option. Many people are afraid of altcoins because many altcoins get scam after people invest large amount of money in these altcoins. Try to first get knowledge about altcoins as every recently originated altcoins are not able to trust.

There is no doubt that altcoins are profitable but there is also no doubt that most of them pass from the sight after covering money from crypto buyers. I think old altcoins are better for investment because we have experience about its success as well as their survival. Therefore watch the survival rate and success rate of altcoins then initiate investment.

obviously I would say ethereum because ethereum is the king of altcoins and one of the safest crypto investments besides bitcoin. You need to know that ethereum has been my favorite altcoin since 2017, therefore from then until now ethereum has been my second biggest investment after bitcoin. but recently I have been more active in investing in BNB because I see that the future of BNB is also very bright because of the support from the largest exchange namely Binance.
Without a doubt ethereum and the binance coin are two of the best altcoins a person can choose as assets in which they can invest in, however their price is so high already that I do not see too much of a point anymore to invest in those coins instead of investing in bitcoin, as it is unlikely they can outperform bitcoin by much during the next bull run, while at the same time it is very risky to invest in other altcoins as there is no way to be sure they will give a good enough performance to justify taking the risk of investing in them.

That's why many people buy and trade on BNB. Apart from making a profit, the CEO also often monitors prices and maintains prices. if it's another ceo I haven't heard of it. That's one of the signs of a good coin, although there is also some other news about this exchange that we hear but it doesn't reduce the buying interest of its users.

What I would pick out of those list is Binance smart chain, BNB serves as both a Blockchain and centralized exchange asset. This also simplify a fact that Binance is the world largest crypto exchange where their native token (BNB) has more use cases of staking fee, transfer fee for crypto built on Binance smart chain and other fees as well.

Ethereum otherwise gives birth and paves the way to how project should build their own smart contracts for good scalability, and more features, but right now the price of Ethereum is high for an average man to purchase a tangible quantity, so I would consider and vote to getting BNB at this low price while the bull run is seeming to start.

Solana, BNB, ETH are investments that I always use in the short term to generate income every month. In fact, all altcoins generate income, but each person is different because they already know where to start. bitcoin is a guide to see the current conditions, the effect of altcoins on the king of bitcoin. December could be the next altcoin discount price

Even when people complain about poor quality posts, in as much as they are not off topic posts, they will still receive attention and enough engagement.
Asking about my favourite altcoin is not bad but I do not actually have a favourite altcoin and so do many.
One thing about altcoins is that is 2 to 4yrs time, many of those coins you mentioned in OP will no longer be seen in the industry.

I always like two coins bitcoin and shib inu. Bitcoin is the first and most dominating coin in the history of crypto market. Besides,  it is available in every exchange and many atm machine in many countries. Shib inu is a great coin also and it's also popular of every person and also invest in it.

I like Dogecoin. I used it before Elon Musk found and speculate/manipulate it.

I bought some appliances for our room and everything. Until now even I stop investing, if I have a chance again to invest. I will still choose Binance, even CZ steps down as CEO I will support Binance. I am hoping that BNB is not gonna shut down.

My favorite altcoin is probably Ethereum. It’s the closest cryptocurrency to Bitcoin and has a solid track record. I’m looking at the poll and I am surprised Monero is at the bottom. One would think since people here love privacy so much, privacy coins like Monero would be one if their favorites. I guess most people are thinking about the investments and profit side more than privacy and utility concerns.

Ethereum, with its innovative smart contracts?
This, Ethereum, is the altcoin that I like the most so far and that I still hold. And also continue to carry out additional accumulations, even if only little by little. Although the portion is of course smaller than that used for Bitcoin, of course. But in this case, a strong enough reason to invest in altcoins is Ethereum. In the past, I was actually interested in BNB. However, if I look at what has happened with Binance recently, I am a little worried. Hopefully it won't have any further impact on BNB.

That's the case with me, ethereum seems to have the same characteristics as bitcoin. This altcoin is patented, so there are no worries about long-term investment, and there is already trust from most people. therefore in cryptocurrency, the main choice is bitcoin, and in altcoins, the main choice is ethereum, Even though it has higher network fees, it doesn't dampen trust in it, and of course it is a solid network

And that is the main problem with investing in BNB and other similar coins, we know that binance is still the most dominant exchange around the world, but for how long? Especially since the SEC seems determined to see its fall, so anyone invested in BNB should be incredibly careful and be ready to sell their coins if they believe another wave of attacks is coming, and with this in mind I do not really think BNB will do as well as predicted during the next bull run.

I didn't have time to add my vote, but I would definitely choose ETH. This altcoin amazingly stays afloat, as if nothing can sink it. Any other competitors are not capable of reaching the heights that ETH has reached. First mover is a core advantage that competitors find difficult to match.

This is very obvious. Ethereum is the largest market cap altcoin, the top 1 altcoin for me. So this is the crowd favorite. Well, I can see other people have their favorite; we must respect it, that's their opinion. We must not judge them because they have their own basis and use cases for sure that's why they choose it.

I like Ethereum, Litecoin, Matic..
Ethereum is just because this the one of the strongest coins which has a strong marketcap.. Ethereum founder Vitalik Buterin is doing some great devolpment after converting it to proof of stake. He is working to make Ethereum network stronger and total number of staked Ethereum show the strength of this coin..For long term I don't think any alt coin is better than Eth

Litecoin reason you already told that it is most trusted low fee coin many website accepting it for a payment.

Matic coin is under value and this network is widely used in the gaming and NFT. Recently Polygon EVM is also launched and one senior member in our local board claim that founder is now working on burning mechanism which will decrease the supply.

Altcoins arent my thing. Why? Risk-reward should always be considered. Bitcoin is the crypto world's leader. Monero offers privacy, Ethereum innovation, Litecoin low fees, Bitcoin Cash Satoshi's vision, and Dogecoin humor. But none match Bitcoin's durability, security, and promise.

Altcoin investing without risk-reward analysis is gambling. Bitcoin, however volatile, has demonstrated its worth. A movement, not simply a cryptocurrency. Bitcoin commitment means believing in decentralization. Altcoins? These are speculative side notes in cryptocurrencies.

When people were going crazy over Elon on this market there were even some traders that created some bots to automate this process and traded based on his tweets, and while I still think the meme coin community keeps tabs on him in the case he mentions their favorite coin, I think this is something people do not really do anymore, as the more people employ a strategy like that the less effective it becomes, besides this does not seem like the best moment to do so as even if some meme coins have achieved some good results during the last year, the lack of bull run really limited the ability of those coins to generate enough hype.

Those all coins you mentioned actually a good coin and have big marketplaces listed everywhere and can create new all-time highs maybe in next bull run. But I am rarely using it all, I considered the Ethereum as a queen of cryptocurrency and I believe that this coin can make new ATH, other than that I would prefer BNB because Im using binance a lot for trading and withdraw it to fiat and their smart chain has dozen good project. Polygon and Solana is crazy cheap for transaction especially the solana has bunch of free NFT  ;D.

Yes, it is natural to feel worried about the future of BNB since Binance's problems with the SEC. even though it's not actually Binance global and CZ has handled it and is responsible for the punishment. However, it still doesn't guarantee that the SEC will stop there. That's why I'm also starting to worry about BNB. Even though it is also one of the favorite altcoins besides Ethereum. I don't know, it seems like more mature and mentally strong planning is needed for this.

I'm LTC. What I like about Litecoin is that it is similar to Bitcoin in many of its characteristics. BTC entered some pretty severe corrections in the past that brought the entire market down and Litecoin and others may not have gone up as much because it was trading sideways during the recent fork and was pressured by Bitcoin's price action and is now starting to rise.

Cryptocurrency, the vast majority have benefited and also have captured good figures from the system. I've dealt with activities in the system and I can stand in position to render good advises to him or her to quit the system if he or she doesn't stand financially stable. We have memecoins and shitcoins, we should be extremely careful not to indulge both together because they actually served different purposes. We have our different choices of altcoins especially when it comes to earning from them. I'm sticking with Shiba Inu project. Though it can be consider as a shitcoin due to the present dormant movement of the project.

TON and SOL are my favorite altcoin, because I think TON and SOL have a very good blockchain and can compete with Ethereum and Binance, so of course the prices of TON and SOL can still increase very high from the current price, so I choose to invest and DCA TON and SOL at this time and hold until the next bullrun comes, because I am sure that by investing in TON and SOL at this time, so I will get a lot of profit, because the prices of TON and SOL will definitely increase at least 5x from the current price.

And it's natural why quite a lot of people buy it, especially ETH. Today the market has been greatly helped by the increase in ETH which is quite good, but not so much for BNB. Yes. These two coins are indeed worthy and are always in the hands of every trader even though the numbers vary greatly. BTW, I do the same for other Altcoins, but I need to study again so that we don't make a mistake if we want to divert our capital.

My favorite altcoin is Binance, I chose Binance because I think Binance is the best altcoin at the moment and of course the project from Binance is very good and popular, so the reason I chose Binance is
1. Binance is the largest exchange currently
2. Binance blockchain is the largest blockchain after Ethereum
3. Binance has Launchpad and Launchpool which are always successful
4. Binance is in 4th position on coinmarketcap (top 5)
5. I think the price of Binance is still very cheap at the moment, because I believe the price of Binance can reach at least $2k

Hands down to Ethereum as my favorite altcoin of all time. Forget the ridiculous not-so cheap gas fees, but it’s the mostly used chain now for building Dapps up to this day and there were many Layer 2 projects who are under this chain like Linea zkEVM, Scroll zkEVM, Base, zkSync Era, etc.

Even though that it transitioned from Proof-of-Work (PoW) to Proof-of-Stake (PoS), it is still the best ranking altcoin in terms of market capitalization, trading volume and building Dapps.

Aside from Bitcoin alone, this altcoin is the best to do DCA in the long run. If I weren’t hacked last time, I still got a bunch of ETH and made like 12x to 13x from the original price I’ve bought during the early days of 2020.

Of all the altcoins I like Ethereum the most and try to invest for the long term. Because Ethereum has some compatibility with Bitcoin's volatility. You will notice that when the price of Bitcoin starts to rise, the price of Ethereum goes up. As a result, investors can earn good returns from Ethereum. Most alt coin investors prefer to invest in Ethereum. Ethereum is a familiar altcoin to all investors. In Ethereum investment, the investor does not have to bear the high pressure of protecting his funds. So I respect Ethereum only after Bitcoin.

It's very good what you invest in because they are the best altcoins to date, and it has been proven that you yourself have received the benefits that have been given. Of course, it is very effective to carry out a scheme of buying when bearish, selling slowly when bullish, and save some for long-term investments, which will usually provide another surprise.Like I said, I really agree if you want to buy BnB and make it a long-term investment, because we know that BnB has made a surprise in 2021 with an extraordinary ATH. Even though it was corrected due to problems, now it has returned to normal. We must remember that the situation is approaching the halving period, which usually means there will be an increase, so you don't need to wait too long to make a profit.

well, I think almost everyone who has been working in the crypto field for a long time has made a lot of profit from popular coins.

Imagine that Dogecoin even gathered more votes than other cryptocurrencies ?

Ethereum is truly the favorite of many but that does not stand about completing holding ETH.

My favorite altcoin as of now is Solana , but of course this is only part of my folio that has diversified
currency in good potential.

The favorite hot coin that someone can purchase and have a piece of mind is ethereum and BNB and also a litecoin so all this coins are the coin than someone can invest on for a long time investment and after sometimes for the investment you also make a little profit from the coins that I listed so therefore it is advisable to know the particular coin that I have a potential and also reputable in the market,

So those coins are the coins that someone can invest on based on research and the Investment should take properly whenever we notice bearish market so that our timing or targeting will it be the time of bullrun

It's always be ETH and BNB. ETH carries my economy by a lot especially during early days and during ICO season where every new projects were using ETH as their smart contract where everything was really fresh and any new projects could give you really big profit unlike nowadays.

BNB because it's feel natural to use this because it's backed by Binance and used there so the support is continuously growing and it's widely accepted anywhere so I do like it a lot.

My favorite altcoin, is non other than Ethereum, the reason is not far fetched, it's because in the trust rating of cryptocurrency, after Bitcoin, it's the next most reputable crypto coin in the market. It might not be the most profitable in terms of ROI, but for the fact that it has proven it's reputation and trust over the years as a coin that has the potentials to continue to remain relevant in the market as the years goes by, I'll always trust it to invest my money in. Because of the many scam projects in cryptocurrency, I prefer to go for trusted projects than hyped projects.

My favorite altcoin is Ethereum. The popularity of Ethereum as a favorite altcoin is due to several factors. Ethereum has utility that other coins lack, as it is a next-generation platform for decentralized applications, enabling the creation and deployment of smart contracts and decentralized applications (dApps) . Its wide-ranging potential applications, including decentralized finance (DeFi), non-fungible tokens (NFTs), and gaming, make it an attractive investment option.  Additionally, Ethereum's transition to proof-of-stake (PoS) transaction verification has made it an environmentally friendly alternative to Bitcoin, which is also a contributing factor to its popularity. These unique features and the wide range of applications built on the Ethereum network have contributed to its surging popularity and made it a potent competitor to Bitcoin

There are three altcoins that I have and I do believe that they have a bright future. The first is Ethereum which is one of the favourite crypto for many after Bitcoin. The next one is BNB as it has many practical uses on Binance exchange the third which I have recently acquired is Solana. I believe it can give good competition to the other two that I am holding. The way its ecosystem is growing it can easily take over BNB in marketcap.

Actually apart from bitcoin you have bought more than 10 memecoins already because if the bull market storm starts this year then I will get better profit than any. Actually my capital is very less so I chose memecoin. This is my new plan because my friend already got profit from memecoin and with that money he bought a bike. The matter made me think again and again due to which I was forced to take such a decision.

Currently my favorite altcoin is Solana because I switched from the Ethereum network to the Solana network because the Solana network is faster and transaction fees are very cheap. That's why I made Solana my favorite altcoin and the altcoin that I prepared during the bull run market.

You have your own perception of SOL after using it, it turns out to be very enjoyable, and it must be admitted that, for the cost, everyone will always avoid using the Ethereum network.
Until now, there has not been any significant change, even though they have innovated, it has not resulted in any change.
but this could be due to the influence of the high price of ethereum, which will also be no different from bitcoin.Of course, I really agree if you change to the SOL network because the costs are cheap.
As long as there are lots of new projects that use it and you participate in them, it can certainly be very helpful. But we certainly know that the BSC network is very widely used and also equally cheap, so it is inevitable that it will still be a concern.
SOL has been on the rise since last year. Of course, this is good news for you if you hold SOL, because the halving period is just a matter of time, and it is certain that SOL will also increase sharply.

I have several altcoin holdings right now, and hopefully most of my holdings will follow the upswing of bitcoin once the bull run begins. At least 50% of my holdings can only be achieved; I'm happy anyway because it's a big help to me.

Some of the ones I currently hold are Tao, Shiba Inu, Pepe, Matic, Bnb, Arb, Manta, and Jup. Until now, I have been accumulating these little by little until there is no
bull run in the crypto space yet. .

STEEM/HIVE/BLURT - Graphene Chain, I don't Appreciate that no one has made anything but a Reddit Clone yet though.

ETH - Easy to Fork or Clone, Easy to make Tokens, etc

BEE - Foundational Currency of TribalDEX, used to make Your Own Altcoin

VKBT - Our Altcoin, VanKushFamily.com has 1 now and will have many more Soon.

BTS - This just has to be mentioned because there are Things You can do on the Network just like TribalDEX

Right now, what kind of needs to be done is like Regional Chains, so You would make something like Ethereum, and Ethereum Clone, or a Graphene Clone, and make it like "Texas Coin" or something Catchier about Your State, or if You are in Texas too then something like the LBJ Chain or something alluding to the Johnson Family's Broadcasting and Things they did after they Killed JFK, I mean after JFK Died in Dallas, TX and Texas had LBJ take his Place. :)

But so, you would have Your Chain, and You would want it to be used in Your Area, get a Billboard or a Sign somewhere and have a Link, or a Twitter, and the Goal is to get People Mining, Teach People to Mine Your Currency. Then You go and Trade, usually First You have to get $10,000 to get Listed somewhere, but if You can make a Smart Contract, You could make a Program in a Token, so that You can go from Token Platform to Token Platform with Your Currency Listing it, and then Eventually the $10,000 won't even be much, or they will be asking to List You, or Listing You without even asking if Your Currency has High Transaction Volume Other Places, because they want Fees for Moving it Around and Trading it, they Collect Fees.

So I say Your Favorite Altcoin should always be the One that Actually has something to do with YOU.

Can't think about any others altcoins while Ethereum is available to select as my favorite altcoin. Don't know much about Monero, doge is flying by elon which could be downfall anytime. Bnb is exchange coin only, still not used for any real purpose outside exchange. Won't like Bitcoin cash , rather original Bitcoin is better to hold which has blasted by record price already. But as op is asked for favorite altcoin, ether is my final choice as i have been using it since 6/7 years even more time and i can trust this coin more than rest of those altcoins in crypto market, even ether is flying Right now

Aside from ETH you should not have any favorite altcoins. Whichever altcoin generates money and i can gain profit by investing in it, i like that altcoin for that time being. When you love a altcoin and become really passionate about it then you won't sell that token even when it is necessary to book profit. In the short term it can help you ride a mega rally if it has any but in the long run it can ruin your portfolio because i saw many top projects become ashes in a few years.

certainly solana these day is my favourite i was late into the game back when solana was still priced around $10 even though I see it clearly that its highly underpriced but i don't go own and buy because you know the rumour surrounding it about ftx holding massive amount as well as the power outage of the blockchain itself but I got in when around $80 and I've been making good profit so far.
really not disappointed with this one since the ecosystem itself also have huge chunk of airdrop for solana holders like us just interact with the dapps and we are already making some money.
honestly I'm expecting this coin to be close to ethereum in term of valuation at some point, i know this coin has been overtaking BNB but get overtaken by BNB back anyway but I really like the fact that solana has been growing non stop for now.
regardless though when it comes to altcoin its always eth and solana for investment, if its about dealing with new tokens, i prefer on solana for some token like JUP and so on.
there has been some meme coin getting popularity as well in the recent days.

Or, why not, Dogecoin, the funny coin?

Pick your favourite and reply here why you love it!

Currently I choose saving in USDT first because the other ones are very volatile at the moment because BTC decline has not subsided. If it is normal, I will go in and buy fundamental coins such as ETH, SOL and BNB. Otherwise, I need more time to analyze.

For Doge, the rumors are good because Elon has tweeted about Tesla, but rumors are not something that will absolutely rise and we will buy them, even if the tweet is from the Tesla boss.

It all depends on BTC in the end. ;D ;D.

BNB, because my biggest investment in altcoins was filled with BNB  ;D
this happens because most of the projects I participate in on bounties and airdrops are on the BNB network, so when they are listed on an exchange or DEX I exchange them for BNB. but that doesn't mean I don't like other big altcoins because I also have ETH and SOL.

TON is my favorite altcoin now. I predict TON will achieve US$1 trillion markecap by early 2026. Because TON blockchain has been integrated with Telegram app. Now you can access TON wallet @wallet within Telegram app. Same for Tonspace Dex/wallet deployed on TON blockchain but you can access thru @wallet TON bot. There are almost 1 billion monthly of Telegram users. TON is up for a massive upside of 1 million percent and up.

If I were given the choice to invest in all other altcoins except Bitcoin, I would definitely prefer a few coins. Especially coins like Ethereum, Solana, DogeCoin, Cardano etc. Only if the Securities Exchange Commission withdraws the case against Ethereum will it be possible for Ethereum to surpass $10,000. Moreover, if Elon Musk makes his Twitter and Space X payment systems through Dogecoin, Dogecoin will exceed one dollar in the future.

Ome of my favorite altcoins is bonk because I have made some good profits from it. It gives me joy when I see good tokens in the market to buy and hold for a particular time for me to make some profits. There are other good tokens we can hold on the market for us to make money just like we have the meme coins that are very profitable for us.
Cryptocurrency can be very profitable if we know how to look for good projects and buy to hold for a while before selling.

If our intention and desire are to make a lot of money in the crypto space, I think it is better to buy altcoins that will experience a bull run for the first time, and if what you want is what can be said in the long term, Bitcoin and Ethereum are really good. Sol, Ada, Arb, and others.

Those are just some of the things that can be said about good long-term to holds; there are actually many more that I didn't include. It's better for others to research so they can learn more about the right choice of cryptocurrency.

I want to add more coins with you some are DOT, Litecoin, Bitcoin Cash, BNB. Ethereum, Solana, BNB have performed well over the year but the price has dropped significantly since the Bitcoin halving. However, Solana Coin has been the best performer this year in my opinion. Personal judgment should prevail when investing in altcoins, although I think the coins you mentioned are very good for investing.
I also really like ethereum but the thing I hate the most about ethereum is its gas fees which are crazy, they fluctuate so much that the gas fees have even touched $100

my next favorite altcoin is Solana, currently there are many projects that use the Solana network, the fees It's quite cheap, it can't be denied that I often make transfers between exchanges and the Solana network

Ethereum. Let's be honest with ourselves, the second most important and highest-paying cryptocurrency after Bitcoin happens to be Ethereum, and that's why it's popular, and of course, is everyone's favorite altcoin.
A lot of other cryptocurrencies sure experience time of huge pumps and price hikes during certain seasons, but Ethereum is just as cool and popular as Bitcoin and usually remains the highest valuable altcoin. Another reason for me would be; that it serves as a medium of exchange and store of value. Not all altcoins can even be staked. So there you have it ... Ethereum.

I agree with you, Ethereum is the most valuable coin after Bitcoin. Ethereum is on top of all the altcoins. We have also seen the Ethereum coin go up and down with the rise and fall of Bitcoin's value. Not everyone will invest in Bitcoin or Ethereum as I say or as you say because the needs are different for different people. Some want profit in short term and some want profit in long term. By the way, I have invested in Ethereum myself, I am hopeful that holding the Ethereum coin for the long term like Bitcoin will give a good result in the future.

Why do you choose Monero as your favorite coin? Just because it is decentralized?
There are many decentralized projects in the market that are doing very well with high movement which you can do research about them and hold for as long as you wanted. I don't choose a favorite because of whether it is decentralized or centralized but because of how fast I can make profit maybe for long term or short term. This is what attract me and make me choose projects that are good for investment.
