You will need to do a lot of reading in other for you to learn about bitcoin, it’s simple if you dedicate little of your time.

[General] How to earn Bitcoins  (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1629118.0)
[General] Bitcoin Wallets - Which, what, why?  (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1631151.0)

One thing you need to know is that bitcoin is not a get-rich-quick kind of thing, and there's no time that's too late for you to join. Now that you have made up your mind to start owning bitcoin, you need to start wherever you can. You can start by getting yourself a wallet in which you can save your bitcoins, and you can start DCA in order to accumulate what you can before your desired time.

Read and learn about how to protect your wallet, as you are your own bank. If you mess with it, there is no means of recovery, and if you are careless with it and your key gets in the wrong hands, your holdings will be gone.

Buying and holding bitcoin is safer when you hold it in a wallet that you have control over; saving in exchange is highly advised against. Below are a few bitcoin wallets that are also recommended for use in this forum, as well as many other ones.

You're welcome to the forum, I'm also very new to the business, but still a bit older than you so that puts me in a position to give you some pieces of advice. My few weeks on the platform has really changed my vision and thoughts about things, I've learned a lot, although still have more to learn because we learn evryday and learning never stops. I can't teach you everything about Bitcoin because I myself don't know everything but from the little I know, I believe I can give some good tips as a newbie in the Bitcoin adventure.

1. LEARN ABOUT BITCOIN
you need to learn as much as you can about Bitcoin, you'll not be told everything here so you can't rely on one source to learn about Bitcoin, read books, watch videos, look for helpful articles and PDFs that'll give you more insight about Bitcoin.

2. START LITTLE
If you ever feel that with the knowledge you've gathered, you're ready to start investing in Bitcoin, as a newbie I'll advice to start with little amount until you've really understood the market then you can put in more money.

3. KNOW THE NATURE OF BITCOIN
You need to be familiar with the fact that Bitcoin is a very volatile asset so before you start investing you need to be ready for the ups and the downs. Sometimes you'll experience a DIP, in times like that you should remember that there has been times in the past that Bitcoin has experienced even greater DIPS to help you overcome the fear and anxieties of a DIP and to also help you make the right decisions of never selling during a DIP, and also when you experience a Bullish Trend in Bitcoin, you shouldn't always expect the market to always be like that, else you might end up being disappointed.

4. STORE YOUR BITCOIN SAFELY
I'll also advise that you look for a very safe wallet to store your Bitcoin, such as a Hardware Wallet. ( Highly recommend). Because that's the primary thing, if you're jeopardize the safety of your Bitcoin then you jeopardize everything as well, including the safety of your investment.

5. WATCH OUT FOR SCAMMERS
Scammers are working tooth and nail everyday, coming up with new strategies and innovative technologies just to swindle people's hard earned money so you need to equip yourself with enough knowledge regarding how to avoid being scammed because if you're not careful you can loose your funds to a scammer in a twinkle of an eye.

6. LEARN HOW TO DCA
DCA simply means Dolar-Cost Average. As a Newbie, you might feel Bitcoin is very expensive now and hard to invest in, if you're thinking that then DCA method is for you, with DCA you can store up enough Bitcoin without breaking a sweat. It's process where you simply a bit of your income, be it on daily, weekly or monthly basis, you can choose a percentage of your earnings and use it to buy Bitcoin, just like putting money in a piggybank and before you realize it, you must've saved up enough Bitcoin for yourself, rather than waiting to have the money in bulk before you can invest.

And it's never too late to invest in Bitcoin, everytime is the right time, so if you have plans to invest, don't let anything stop you from joining the moving train.
There goes, I hope these tips would be of help to you.

What you should learn to do is to be autonomous and make a living for yourself. You will do better than if you expect others to do the work for you and give it to you. You have registered on the forum, haven't you? Then you know what you have to do? Use the forum. Explore the different sections, look at the ones that interest you most, read threads and comment on the ones you find interesting.

That way you will learn about the forum and bitcoin in general.

FYI Bitcoin is already a major project globally that’s why there’s already a country that use it as legal tender such as El Salvador while US and other major country already have an ETF for Bitcoin.

There’s tons of institutional investors that already invested heavily on Bitcoin that only prove how big it already. Always refer the price chart long term to see the pattern every cycle to give you an idea how early still we are yet Bitcoin is already have a name globally.

First of all most welcome on this forum and I am glad you have friends who lead you to this forum and make your time worthwhile instead of convincing you to waste it on useless things like on Snapchat like shits. I am saying this because, in today's world, friends with a good mindset are so rare they will come up with ideas to waste life and time but never will lead you toward anything good.

Bitcoin is not going to be a major project in the future but it is already a major project, in simple words, BTC is the king and the first coin made ever. All other currencies are known as ALTs and that's for a reason. I will suggest, if you want to have a place in BTC bull run then buy some, but don't spend money by borrowing money or spend only what you don't care to lose. This line might be confusing for you, but believe me, it does not mean we BTC investors don't care for money.

We do but I meant to say only invest that money that if lost, will not affect your life.

You need to spend a lot of your time on this forum then, I like the fact that you need you will be earlier than some people in the future, many newbies don't get this so they quickly give up on Bitcoin.

The reason I suggest you should take your time reading on this forum is because you will be able to know the risks involved in crypto space, there are many ways scammers are scamming newbies because they don't know, the lack of knowledge can make you fall into the hands of scammer, any small mistake, all your BTC will be stolen.

The fastest advice I can give you goes as follow..

1. Have a job that's bringing you some money, there is no mercy for jobless people in crypto space, with money things will be a bit easier than not having at all.

2. You need a lot of patience, zero your mind from desire to make money for now, focus on learning, and if you want to hold anything as a beginner I suggest you should buy Bitcoin.

3. Before you start buying anything, you need to choose a crypto wallet, so research on open source wallet, non- custodial means you are in control of your recovery seed or private key, if you don't know what these are it's part of the reason why I said you need a lot to do research on.

4. From the money you are making from your job, you should use some percentage to dollar cost average into Bitcoin, maybe per week or month, which ever is convenient for you.

Do more research on how to keep your crypto wallet safe from hackers and scammers and also make use of the search engine on the top right corner of this forum, many questions you have might already be answered, type in anything and read through them to gain more knowledge..

Welcome to the forum mate.
When Satoshi created Bitcoin he created this forum to talk about the Bitcoin system to understand it and if any error comes, to solve it. Now the forum is very wide and there are many rules and rank systems. There are ranks from newbie to legendary, and to grow your rank you need to earn merits. But the question is how to earn merits so there is a very simple way for this you can write a quality post that engages people and sparks information or news and when someone loves your post he or she will merit your post. This is a simple way of earning merits. Below I am giving you the links to the rules and the system before doing anything in this forum, just read these two links.

Bitcoin has undoubtedly begin to grow into a major project, but we think bitcoin will be greater than this in the future. You are highly welcome to this forum, which is the greatest place for you to learn about cryptocurrencies. If you mean to learn about bitcoin, this is the best place to learn. You should thank your friend for introducing you to this forum, because he is the one who knows what's best for you. Everyone who is knowledgeable about, before making an investment, you should be aware that there are risks involved. You won't start investing in bitcoin and hope to profit within a few days; instead, my recommendation is to hold onto your bitcoin for as long as possible in order to make more profits.

Welcome to this my forum brother , yes truly betcoin is a good project actually and it will be in the future , for a good beginning you can use this forum by posting everyday or when you have time to do it just for fun . Your activities will rise every 15 days , you must upgrade your level , when you achieve full member you can start your real project by finding a signature compagne.. , or bounties , this forum offers you many chances and opportunities,  Good luck to you .

Excellent point, buddy, but occasionally make sure to proofread your posts before posting. These are some things that new members of the forum should be aware of when they join; they should also know how their activities will progress. The most crucial thing, though, is the forum's rules, as without them, it won't feel like a serious place for them. Bitcoin is a good project with a bright future, but we should also recognise that it is an investment that requires skill, and many people aren't properly introduced to it by their friends; some friends may have pique their interest in the forum by making them feel avaricious.

I said that because, if you look at a lot of the posts made by newbies, you'll notice that many of them don't ask questions about the forum rules; instead, they ask questions about bitcoin and how to help them if they're not ready to invest right now. Learning about bitcoin is not something we should jump into; instead, we need to learn everything thoroughly to ensure that we don't make any mistakes that could cost us the money we want to invest in it.

Bitcoin is not hard to understand, only those who can't do some research will fail to understand it's potentials, I read a lot about Bitcoin using google search engine, I don't even know about this forum and there was no one to ask a lot from at the time, but this forum makes it easier for beginner to understand Bitcoin and crypto, so OP I welcome you to this forum, if you are ready to learn you will gain a lot using this forum.

Many members have already gave you the best way to start your crypto journey but I will like to give you some warnings,  do not try to look for free ways to earn bitcoin, there is none, you can do some research on this and I bet that you will see some free websites promising free bitcoin if you do some things, the truth is they will scam you.

Do not allow PM from strangers, teaching anything, they have a reason why they PM you from the start and believe me it's not a good reason, before you take any steps at all, come on this forum and ask people, do not be in rush, wait for members feedback, this will safe you from.so many traps that scammers have set for beginners like you, I hope you enjoy your stay on here.

People talk about Bitcoin and you get to hear about it all the time but have you asked them to give you the major tools to work with when you're in it completely? Sometimes we only hear about the positive part of it and we quickly run into it without getting to know how to grow our funds or the part of losing money.
Getting help from investors in this Forum is better than going in   just like that, the main reason why most of the people going into Bitcoin lose money too much is because they don't get the important info to help them in the crypto world.

First of all Welcome to this forum my dear friend.
And you choose a right place to learn about Bitcoin. Because here in this forum you can get much knowledge about Bitcoin. Here is many sections which have separate purposes so you can ask question according to your problem.

You can even search more discussions topics on this forum which can give you much information about Bitcoin even you make research on videos or on other websites which can give you much more information.

And If you are thinking about investing in Bitcoin it is important to learn about cryptocurrency exchanges. These are places where you can buy and sell Bitcoin. But I will recommend buy and hold the Bitcoin and purchase a hardware wallet for more security and never store your funds in exchanges.

And one thing it is not too late to start investing in Bitcoin.  So take your time ask questions, and participate in discussions here to increase your knowledge and become part of the Bitcoin community. And when you think you are ready to invest so you should invest.

I am new in this forum. My friends always talk about this forum and Bitcoin. I want to know about Bitcoin and how to benefit from it.
With the way people talk about Bitcoin, it shows that Bitcoin will turn to a major project in the future. I just want to have a place now. Even if I am late, I know in few years time, I will be earlier than many people.

Please I need help on how to learn Bitcoin and grow here. Thanks.

As you grow into liking the forum, please embraced the ethical rules. You need to have two horns to withstand the heat of the forum and you need to be strategic in responding to people. Don't fold and never entertain any form of bully, and be friendly to everyone.

On the bitcoin aspect, make sure that I'm everything you try to do about bitcoin, make sure that it's an open source. When an application is open source, it's gives you less room for doubt because it's a public tested application for everyone, and you have nothing to worry about. So when you want to choose wallet regardless of the company years in the market especially the hardware wallet, make sure it's an open source wallet.

My final warning is avoid anything centralized as possible, don't save your coins on any custodial platforms because when anything happens, you wouldn't be able to hold anybody responsible. They may show you that they really care about you but in reality, it's lies. So, learn to keep your coins on your personal wallet.

First.. I want to say welcome to this space
IMO...best recomendation for newcomers to read this as a foundation, a useful topic created by @fillippone: "5 Resources to Teach the Average Joe about Bitcoin." (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5156874.0) . There are YouTube videos, articles, and writings containing fundamental knowledge about Bitcoin that I find more beneficial for newcomers and all BTC enthusiasts.

For me, it's more better than immediately focusing on how to make money with Bitcoin quickly. When you understand the basics of Bitcoin, you'll know its benefits, and from there, you'll understand how to use it. This knowledge will continue like a chain until you figure out how to earn money with Bitcoin.

Skipping directly to technical or fundamental analysis overlooks some basic steps that leave you in the dark about the initial knowledge of Bitcoin. Enjoy your learning journey, and don't hesitate to open discussion topics in this forum.

Just maximize your time studying the bitcointalk forum. Explore the forum and read a lot, if you can do that, you will gain better understanding with bitcoin and on the crypto market. You don't need to put all your time studying the forum, that will make you bored later on. My suggestion is don't be too serious but enjoy your stay in the forum instead. Learning is not just all about reading and understanding, but it also comes with fun as learning becomes easier and more effective if you also enjoy what you are doing, and not because you are forced to do it because you saw the potentials of bitcoin.

And keep this reminder, bitcoin is not a get rich quick scheme. If you want to make decent profits from bitcoin, then work for it and make your current rank or position grow while trying to gain your identity and character in the forum.

First and foremost, welcome to the forum. It's great to hear your eager interest about knowing bitcoin, but that won't happen if you are not serious and is not determined to learn in the forum. So build up yourself and be as patient as you can be while going through the forum and read every topic that catches your interest. If you are not familiar with those words you encounter, then free to look for the search engine that is located at the upper right corner of the forum and type everything you want to find out.

Learning do not come easily, but you need to put maximum efforts if you aim for maximum learning. My advice is visit first the beginners and help section, that will be a perfect place for beginners who aim to educate theirselves with the basics in the forum.

Bitcoin is really beneficial to people who are into it, I don't know the mindset that you may be having concerning bitcoin as a beginner,  what just need to tell you is that Bitcoin does not make one to be rich quick. Bitcoin is very profitable when people invest in it in longterm,  and you also need to know that Bitcoin is very volatile,  you can't really tell what will happen to bitcoin price in the future . When investing in Bitcoin you should have in mind that you must hodl bitcoin to make profit from your invest, you can only get this thing right if you have the ability to exercise patience.  What you just need to know is that the market is unpredictable and you need patience hodl, with these two   understanding you can also get the benefit from Bitcoin.

I welcome you to this forum, you don't see it as a problem at all if you are new to the forum because no matter how big or how skilled people are in a job, they are new at the beginning. You have expressed an interest in knowing about Bitcoin. Of course you can learn about Bitcoin. There is no end to know about Bitcoin. The more you know about Bitcoin, the more new things you will learn. Every job requires a newbie to learn the basics first, same with Bitcoin. You can get a full understanding of Bitcoin only when you have mastered the basics. You will find basic information about Bitcoin in the Bitcoin Discussion section. Apart from getting an idea about the basics of Bitcoin from this specific section, you can get an idea about Bitcoin investing and trading. Hopefully you will be able to learn more on your own in the future when you have an idea about these things.

What is the most difficult thing from this forum is Learning. someone could have survived with earned merit and ranked up following the activity here. But as far as I know, when the rank member is stuck or has reached the highest level, his knowledge does not develop, he doesn't expand it again with new things. because he was already in a comfortable position and did not chase his rank like he was 1st time here. Especially if he has found a job, and becomes a long-term campaign participant, usually he will stop looking for new things, and just go with the flow.

There's no late entering in the forum as long as you have the innermost desire to learn and apply them later on when you decide to trade or invest. My advice is to see this forum as more like a home or community that you can share and learn everything you wish for, and not a school that turns into a boring place later on. You just have to feel more at ease and just enjoy the forum. That means, you don't have to be too obsessive on the forum, but just take your time learning from the experiences of the old and reputable members.

However, I want to clear it to you that this forum does not guarantee your life's success later on. Its within your own concepts and motivation, and within your performance that will make your future bright and secured. And with the help of the forum, if you put everything in action all the things you have learned inside the forum, then you will gain higher rate of success in the future if you exercise them properly and with caution.

The advice and links in the early replies will be helpful to your Bitcoin journey if you want to profit from Bitcoin.  Just make sure that you are vigilant and avoid scammers because there will be lots of them along the way.  Never listen to offers that are too good to be true and as much as possible hold your Bitcoin in your own non-custodial wallet and learn how to secure them correctly.

Aside from that, I also wanted to inform you that Bitcoin investment have their own risk, so better know the risk that lies beyond Bitcoin investing.  We should also read articles that are not pro-Bitcoin and weigh its significance just like this article: https://www.cnb.com/personal-banking/insights/bitcoin-risks-opportunity.html

The best first step is to start stacking sats. You can use this resource: https://www.stacksats.how/

Once you have enough sats to use on a lightning wallet, I would suggest that you buy some bitcoin on RoboSats: https://learn.robosats.com/

Once you have purchased enough bitcoin on RoboSats to move to your own wallet, I would suggest that you secure your seed phrase: https://www.whatisbitcoin.com/security/generate-your-seed-phrase

Once you have a lot of bitcoin and have secured your seed phrase, I would suggest buying a hardware wallet like a ColdCard: https://coldcard.com/

If you are somewhat tech savvy, I would suggest building your own SeedSigner: https://seedsigner.com/

Last but not least, once you have completed all of the above steps, I would suggest that you run your own node.

If you can manage to complete all of the above steps, you will find yourself in a much better situation than 99% of the world.

Electrum official link: https://electrum.org/#home
Download link: https://electrum.org/#download
Blue wallet: https://bluewallet.io/

Op you're welcome, and I can assure you that this fantastic forum is the best place to learn about bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies.
As a fellow newbie, let me offer you some advice. This forum is not for the lazy, so you should always dedicate yourself to reading and doing research.
You should also don't be afraid to ask questions because everyone on the forum is friendly and you won't be helpless. Just make sure your questions are reasonable.
Use the Nwada links, they will be of great assistance to you and the links that other people have posted are also all vital as well.

Take your time from learning in the forum. There's a lot of things that you should learn about bitcoin, and this forum is the most reliable source for acquiring bitcoin knowledge. As a beginner, visit beginners and help section because most of the newbies questions are already there, you just have to explore and study those threads because they can give you insights on how and when to start with bitcoin.

My only advice is that never take bitcoin as only a source of money accumulation, but also deal bitcoin with high regards because you believe that it is our future currency. Bitcoin is an investment and as a currency at the same time, so once you learn the important facts about bitcoin, learn to maximize your utilization with bitcoin as well like investing on it when you're ready and using it afterwards as a payment currency. That's the best way you will benefit the advantages of bitcoin.

I don't agree with you about bitcoin becoming a major project though, it's already there, you could've been right about that if it was around 2010 to 2012 as there's not a lot of people that's talking about bitcoin back then but now it's the future already. Stay and participate in this forum as much as you can and want OP, this is a good place to get answers for your questions, ask all of the curiosities that you have and people are bound to answer.

I am new in this forum. My friends always talk about this forum and Bitcoin. I want to know about Bitcoin and how to benefit from it.
Leaning from the forum check out for the introductory beginners and help index. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=help;page=searching
That is the beginners criterials this forum offers with the goal to attain profitable knowledges about Bitcoin.
Meanwhile... It is expected that you find reading a pleasure so that you can adopt and acquire reasonable abilities towards your aim on Bitcoin.
The forum is always open for interactions and discussions. There are numerous professional experts always at the floor to theorically and practically guide you.
You are not limited to questionable and unquestionable.

With the way people talk about Bitcoin, it shows that Bitcoin will turn to a major project in the future. I just want to have a place now. Even if I am late, I know in few years time, I will be earlier than many people.
Bitcoin Will not only turn to a major project but already a major product because it is a digital marketing platform as known "Bitcoin digital currency" that is globally recognized, accepted and of course, it is the most leading cryptocurrency of an exchange in the Blockchains.

It has the potentials to flexible enrichment in profits generations, it is a decentralized digital currency that is not governed by the government which makes it totally apart different from the fiat.
It is best at the holders custodians through the Blockchains Private security obligations.

It is also a flexible to inflations and deinflations dependent on its demands and supplies. So you most also know it that Bitcoin currency is not there to dancing to ones tunes unless it is a general effect overview because it doesn't require a personal marketing skill that is to consider a specific investor.

It also has a portfolio of short-term trading which has a more risk to long-term investment because a time of bull-runs (increase) is always expected in the nearest furniture while short term trades is liable to experience risks of depression (decrease) over a period of time. So, it is wise known to decide what portfolio you are good for but meanwhile.... Please i need help on how to learn Bitcoin and grow here. Thanks.
If you think about what led you here, you stand to gain a great deal. Don't let the Nagetive cause you to travel more slowly. Remain optimistic at all times to help you reach your objective. Every achievement begins with the decision to attempt, as nobody is born with it.

Never forget that since others are successful, what will stop you from succeeding? My only piece of advice is to be always active, being lazy is not an option if you want to be like other members here. Make time for yourself every day. Learn about Bitcoin to understand its basic mechanics and how it operates.
