Group buy anyone?

In case someone is able to grab a few of those -from the physical locations - I am also interested in getting one. (obviously after owlcatz reserves their copy)

Although the mag is free of charge, I am willing to pay some sats for their time & effort -obtaining them- +shipping

I might be flying to Seattle first if the week, I know where that news stand is located there. Also got a friend in Miami . Will do my best. Will buy whatever they have.

its the nature of the collectibles world - majority of buyers are in it only for the flip - buy it for $10 and sell it for $200 on eBay - might take a cheaper offer if one is given though.

my guess is all locations got their inventory wiped out within the first day or two.

I’m currently in one these cities so I spent all morning going around. I was hoping I could get a ton and send them to mopar or mj to distribute but it didn’t work out.

1st store - had no idea what I was talking about and said they didn’t have them

2nd store - I saw a stack of maybe 15 or so behind the counter. They had no idea what they were lol but called the manager and the manager said to give me one for free. I offered to pay for all of them or even just another one or two but they said no.

3rd store - they had them in a basket by the door with a sign saying free, please take one. There were only 2 left but I grabbed one.

So I walked about 7 miles today, went to every single location in Manhattan NYC and some locations had no idea what I was talking about. The locations that did have them were being very very strict and only allowing 1 per person. I feel that it's going to be hard to get some users on this forum multiple copies.

Does anyone know how many copies were printed?

I am going to try to go back to some of the locations in a different outfit and a hat and shades over the coming days to get more copies.

If not mistaken, the magazines available through the online store were sold out within less than an hour. Those were available for $0 + $0 shipping within the US. Also, there was a limit of 1 mag per person. (maybe that's why they have set limits to the physical locations too)

Hopefully, someone will be able to find a lost/forgotten/hidden pile of a few dozen magazines somewhere...

Update: I was able to secure 6 copies so far. The shops that have them are being insanely strict with the 1 per person limit. I am keeping one for myself and going to be setting up an auction for the 5 copies on this forum soon. Since the demand seems pretty high I think this would be the best way to give users on this forum a fair shot at obtaining one.

The copies I obtained were free, but just know any sats spent on the auction will be going towards an engagement ring I have to purchase soon as I plan on proposing to my girlfriend in 2024. It was also kinda a bitch walking around NYC for hours in the rain today lol.

damn an auction. its a fair way to do it with so many wanting them but it will remove me from the running. with the prices these are fetching on ebay they will be scooped up here by those with deep pockets who will be aiming for the flip themselves I bet.

Hey Mopar totally understand where you are coming from, I just wanted to do it in the fairest way possible to give everyone on this forum a chance at owning one. I don't think the premium on these will be as high as you see on eBay.

Totally understandable and don’t blame you - i just never win auctions and those I do end up never shipping - have had 4 in the 2023 year that went that way. Here and on scarce.city

I found a few available, they are technically free magazines and the places only charge for shipping.

Quick update - I was able to secure a few more (I will confirm once I receive) and all from the East Coast, I called a few stores on the West Coast and they have not yet received, or think they won't get them (unsure).

In any case, they are definitely limiting to 1 or 2 max per customer, so there is a decent chance of finding a place willing to ship 1 or 2.

I talked to  one bookstore, they indicated they only got 50 copies...  I imagine some other locations may have gotten more, but it sounds like not too many are out there.

I have given away 2 extras that I had but then in talking to Mandrik who has an interview in the magazine but was never told he was in even in it would like to get one.

anyone got a spare that I can get in order to give to Mandrik?  would appreciate it a lot!

All of those locations in Chicago are oddly within just a few mns of my old homestead. Kinda odd how they didn’t really spread them out very well. Would have been great for me though lol.

If anyone gets a spare I’ll happily trade ya something of equal or greater value. Ive still got a few of those Fortune mags Crypto vs Wallstreet, which was a fun little hunt that took me days.
