Title: [SCAM] Coinunited.io - No withdrawal
Post by: Kawum on January 03, 2024, 09:50:54 PM
Hey crypto fans.

I traded successfully on the exchange mentioned above and ordered three LTC withdrawals.
These have been “in progress” since the beginning of the year.
Customer support not available, no response to emails.
Have you had any experience with this exchange?
I'm worried that I won't receive the coins.

Greetings. ;)

edit: I have uploaded a screenshot, of my requests.

Sorry but this a scam exchange

1. It's an obscure exchange yet it claims to have been trusted by 25 million users?
2. Testimonials are obviously fake. Try to reverse image search those people, you'd know they're just stock/stolen photos
3. up to 125% APY -- too good to be true
4. 100% deposit match up to 5 BTC -- too good to be true lol

There are more red flags but these four are already enough to support the above conclusion.

Did someone slid into your PMs, op?

damn, you beat me to it, I was ready to post what I wrote but received a warning that someone posted before me after clicking post.

anyway, It's funny and Ironic that they have an award from 2019 when the domain was registered on 2020-12-08 and the award was "best customer service". also, all the information about the registrant when they registered their domain has been redacted for privacy which I think is suspicious.

Someone had an almost similar experience to yours last year

How was your experience signing up on CoinUnited.io?

Genuine response
They scammed me, i deposited then i tried to withdrawal but it’s asking me to create a secure password, i tried to create but then it’s not letting me create, i sent a ticket but nobody is replying for 3 days already.

Forget about all the other fake responses what were made in that thread at the same time

It's funny how they keep writing scam articles, yet they are the scammers themselves... Speaking of a wolf in sheep skin  ;D

Slowly but surely, I feel more and more like a complete idiot.  >:(
I will consider the 29 Litecoin, as a painful lesson.

Surely, consider that 29 LTC as a fee to learn about scam on the internet and to be more careful next time. We learn something new everyday. “Don't Trust, Always First Verify”. If you are unsure about an exchange or a service. Always post the question in this forum about the legitimacy of the service. They will help you dig in deep and provide useful answers that can save you from losing your money.

Unfortunately, I have some unpleasant news.
I can no longer log in, and my Google Authenticator, suddenly generates "wrong codes".
Well, I still thank you all for your help.

Hopefully this topic will help other users in the future.

Does it come like a giveaway? Or did you deposit and trade there? If you deposited then I am curious to know why you tried this exchange instead of there are many reputed/popular exchanges. and how did you find this exchange?

The screenshot is quoted here.

Yes, I deposited there, with my own money, and I prefer high-leverage Trading, like Rollbit.

Few weeks ago, I had to do a KYC, and my Rollbit Account got suspended, cause I'm a german resident.

edit: I found this exchange, while using google.

I found this exchange, while using google.

This exchange doesn't seem totally legit to me.  I notice it's pretty high up on Google when I searched some terms, which was weird because the site just doesn't look trustworthy.  Some things about it raise red flags that make me worried it might be shady or a scam.  I'd be real cautious using this exchange personally.  Not sure why Google ranks it so high from what Im seeing.

Did you heard back from their customer support yet? Tried hitting them up on the phone or social media or something? Could be the whole team was out for the holidays and that's why they havent gotten back to you.

Sad to hear you have lost the fund. Nothing to do for you now. I did not see the name of this exchange before in this forum. If they would promote them here, we can asj atleast some explanation about it from them.

I can see they have 2000x Leverage. It's insane and they are using this as a trap.

Sometimes, I wonder why people go ahead to trade in exchanges that's not popular or not used by anyone before. So, you just came online and saw an unknown site, deposited money on it and start trading without checking the previous user's review first.

Just like other people here said, you've been scammed. Even if you are to come back here and said that you've been paid somehow, I won't believe you, and neither should anyone here do so.

Gosh, why throw your money away for godsakes!

Scam service offers are better than legitimate ones, right? If you want to make people less suspicious, just make it more attractive with values that are close to reasonable (like 125% APY might make sense for people who are used to memecoins). If someone has a gambling background they'll consider this a bet, if it is legit then they get the jackpot, if it is a scam they lose. The difference is, losses in this case is something they can't afford because it usually involves more money than regular betting.

Sorry to say, someone like me cannot make use of an excha that is not one of the globally recognized exchange I know well about and could get my vouch on, did you even make research about them before using them for your exchange, because at least if we are to go by what had been told here, we have to reason along with being intentional about every decision or steps taken, we cannot use a service that doesn't have a global recognition and reputation, the more we give more attention to having our digital asset under a non custodial wallet.

With so many trusted exchanges out there, why go for an obscure one with fake testimonials and crap written all over them?

Close to 2000$ is no small amount indeed it is quite a large sum when converted to common currencies of the Eastern part of the world.

I still dont see how they created some images of their name on certain public places as per as their website. However the legitimacy of the site is a concern and since the withdrawals are pending for quite a long time, this is a red flag indeed.

Try to use some other exchange that they local German community uses. You should find your local country mates in the local section.

Here what I found,

Their office looks legit + staff pics but not sure if their office still located there https://www.happyer.io/companies/coinunited-io-hongkong

Try to contact them by phone https://www.apollo.io/companies/CoinUnited-io/60a24b62b2f0ac00d9606787?chart=count

And you can ask/spam the issue on their FB page https://web.facebook.com/coinunited/?_rdc=1&_rdr

Also you can report about them online to the HK police if they dont respond to you at all https://www.police.gov.hk/ppp_en/13_faqs/faq_erc.html

Well, you have nothing to lose at this point if they keep ignoring you.

Edit: one of the co founder interview by CNBC https://www.cnbc.com/video/2021/04/30/cryptocurrencies-are-gaining-ground-in-asia-says-coinunitedio.html
This company looks active and maybe famous enough in HK between 2020-2021

Thank you Sunderland.

I've already been punished enough, so I don't need to be called a liar, dumb and so on here.
I was blinded by the 2000x.

What are you searching when the site shows? I guess this looks like from a search ad. We can help to report the site in google so it wont show in the search page or report this directly on their website's registrar.

If you search Coinunited on Google, the first result is the website link of this exchange, I don't know what keywords you used while searching on Google so that the link of this exchange came in front of you. I visited their website and found that they have also added their social media links on their website. After you have faced this withdrawal issue, you may now realize that before depositing in any exchange, you should try to know the details about that exchange. One has to be very careful in selecting a crypto exchange, as there are many fake exchanges in the crypto market today whose main purpose is to scam crypto users.

Update here whether your withdrawal is still in processing or completed.
