If they ask me to make a choice on altcoin to invest in this new year, Ethereum will still be my choice because I know that their team are strong team and they are capable to make Ethereum the king among all the altcoins in the market for investors to continue making it for their choice. If you look at the altcoins market very well you will see that Ethereum is about to reach $3k and if it happen this year it will help those of us that are lovers of Ethereum to make another huge amount of profits from the market. I know, we still have some good altcoins in the market to invest and everyone has his own choice to make in the market to invest in any altcoins of his or her choice which I chose Ethereum as my choice this year, what is your own choice in altcoins investment if they ask you to invest again in altcoins?

 Do you think I make a good choice this year or I should include BNB so that if one is delaying me in the market, I can try the other one to achieve what I want .

Actually its there's no need to get confuse about certain coins needed to invest since automatically ETH will be one of the best choice to have since you can base it on current standing and it will not be listed as top 2 in the market for nothing. That's why aside for bitcoin ETH is other choice and then up for investor on what other top coins or new coins they are going to add to maximize their portfolio for future profit gaining purposes.

You will only make a good choice if you handle well your ETH investment since if you just act cool without even considering its volatility maybe you get afraid on certain situation like dumping and might lose when ETH price dump. So consider also the risk of volatility of the price and for sure if you know how to handle it well especially the market pressure then you will be lucky to earn and for sure you will say that its really good that you choose ETH in your portfolio.

Ethereum is a good choice to keep on holding and accumulating when possible. I don't think a lot of investors would be making good profit unless they have be holding it from 2011 or they have invested in it before 2021. If not then there are other coins like Ethereum that are showing positive sign in the market. Like you said BNB which is backed by the biggest exchange in the world. Recently Solana started doing good and it is still a cheap if compared to Ethereum and BNB in price and the team is doing great with its development and marketing. I would be focusing on these three crypto before the bull run as they have the potential to explode.

Yeah, Ethereum is a leading coin among all the altcoins, and many other altcoins are built on the ERC network, so I think your choice of investment is not a bad one. If I decide to invest in altcoins, I will likely invest in native tokens that have their own smart coins, which already have other successful projects that are also built on their network. I can consider BNB, polygon, and ETH.

Just like Husires said, since you consider investing in altcoins, you should also research other good projects that can generate you more profit. The problem I have with altcoins is that you cannot actually be certain of how a project will turn out after you have bought them. Definitely, there are some good altcoins that will pump during the bull market. If you are lucky enough to know them and invest in them, you can make a good profit.

Ethereum is the biggest crypto of altcoins in terms of marketcap and they exist here for very long time so it isn't surprising that you added ethereum to your portfolio.

I don't know whether I will choose ethereum because the price has been stagnant for over a year and it's growth is also not upto the expected level compared to market growth and then the biggest downside is switch from PoW to PoS that all made the OG investors to move to different coins and also now there are more competition for ethereum like never before.

When you are holding BNB you are putting your faith in very centralized exchange, and the fact they should stay alive and not get jailed. While i trust binance, i don't think it isn't a good idea to compare it to something that's based on decentralization.

Agree, Ethereum is indeed a project that has stood the test of time and has long held the top 2 position on CMC. My choice this year also leans towards layer 2 projects based on Ethereum. Many projects have emerged, showing great potential for this year. Looking at the current market, I see that ETH is confidently heading towards the $3000 mark.

If we have to choose altcoin with lesser risk then it would always be ETH and I still remember as ETH was the only Altcoin to resist the bear market even when Bitcoin went bearish during the beginning of 2018 and it apart from Bitcoin I can only remember ETH breaking it's previous ETH during the 2021 bull run (out of those coins which were part of 2017 bull run and 2018 bear market) because there were coins like XRP, XLM, LTC and other coins which is yet to recover from the bearish market low and break their 2017 bull run ATH.

If there is any other coins apart form Bitcoin then we can always prefer ETH though I have some other coins as well this time like ADA and UTK. 

When it comes to altcoins, Eth has always been the top-used altcoin, as far as I'm aware, which means it has more exposure and more investors have plugged in to it. They have also been here for the past few years and have done a lot of development, adopting new changes, and all of that, which is one thing I like about them, and their team is super smart.
 
And if we look very well, Eth always has a way of following bitcoin growth, i.e., when bitcoin is pumping, they always gain a massive increase in the market, adding to the fact that they are also more generally accepted in many places, which is another reason we should consider them. Sec is not against them, so we don't have to worry about crashes for now. I also find Eth worthy of holding.

If you're asking for the validation of people then you'd get more headaches with the suggestions that you will be getting. Having ETH as your personal choice is okay and if you want to add BNB and that's also okay too. Because they're at the top of the market and personally, I have these two so I'd say to people with my bias that they're good to hold because I am holding them too. But you're still the one to decide whether you'll have them or not. With ETH spot ETF, then it's the best choice and that's one factor that you may want to consider for staying on it.

Among the alt coins, Ethereum is the best and most expensive coin to invest in. There are many people who prefer to invest in alt coins, I think this coin is suitable for long term investment. If I'm not mistaken we may have seen the price of Ethereum rise to around $5000 while Bitcoin was over $70k. Now the price of ethereum coin is around 2300 dollars when bullrun season starts in the market, surely the price of this coin will increase much more. The reason why Ethereum has the second largest marketcap is not because of its ETH token value. It is because of its ecosystem which is bigger than Ethereum itself. The more it's ecosystem will grow the price of it's token will also increase. It is still one of the best altcoin available in the market, but slowly others are gearing up to challenge it. I still think it will remain on the top for few more years and crypto like SOL might challenge it in the future. Yes, after bitcoin if I want to invest in any coin it is ethereum for me. Currently, Ethereum is the second most valuable cryptocurrency coin. I think investing in Ethereum and holding it for a long period of time can yield better profits in the future. I have noticed that Ethereum starts to pump when the price of Bitcoin increases. Ethereum's ETF is expected to be approved soon, we also a big event Bitcoin halving will be faced. Hopefully i will be except to see a big bullrun right after these events. I think there is still a lot of time, if start investing now, I don't think it would be too bad decision wait until the next bullrun season.

No doubt etherium still serves as a leading coin in the altcoin family. But Bitcoin is still the best. When ever you talk of Bitcoin, you talk about cryptocurrency and that is the reason behind this great forum. Aside Bitcoin etherium is the successor of Bitcoin. So having etherium now is like investing in bitcoin some years back when Bitcoin was around $1k or $2k dollars but today it's now $43k so in the nearest future etherium will be also expensive like Bitcoin. Because Bitcoin was once low like etherium. So etherium is a good altcoin to hold for long.

If I'm still focusing on my old approach when it comes to investing which is a conservative approach, I would choose Ethereum as well, and I will put a huge portion of my money in Ethereum aside from Bitcoin.

Now that we are approaching the bull run (hopefully), I made a bit of a risk, and I invested in altcoins that's below the top 20 such as ATOM, TIA, SUI, etc. I believe that the lower the market cap is, the higher the risk therefore the higher the reward. Investing into Ethereum might be safer, but the upside is lower compare to other altcoins below.

Including BNB in your portfolio might be a good one because after all, it's the native token of the largest CEX right now which is Binance. Holding it will qualify you for their launch pools and with the bull run fast approaching, I expect that many new projects will emerge, and some of them will launch on Binance's launch pool. That would be free money for you as a holder of BNB.

This may be a reason to move away from Ethereum in the future, as the ecosystem has become independent because we see second-layer solutions, which may be tokens that do not even need the tokens of the first network, or need them at a minimum, which is opening and closing channels.
The uses of the Ethereum onchain are limited, and unless the fees issue is solved, the majority will prefer to invest in Bitcoin and the Ethereum ecosystem.

Yes Ethereum is very trusted among alt coins to invest.  This year its price has also increased a lot. This is what can be invested.  But BNB is good for investment.  Those who have low budget and don't want to invest in BTC can invest in them for now.  Ethereum, BNB, Sol, Binance are good for investing in alt coins. Also I can't vouch for any other art.

Ethereum is the number one Altcoin, the best option after Bitcoin of course, which is the undisputed number one. Others are beginning to stake a claim, like Solana, but Ethereum is definitely the number one Altcoin at the present time. I've said many times in other posts that ethereum is the mother of altcoins. and I don't think that can be argued with.

Ethereum for me is always the most important, meaning I put the largest amount of capital into it then usually I divide some of my money into other top altcoins like BNB and a small part I try with the king of meme coins, namely DOGE, that strategy I usually do every season

I think bnb with Ethereum is very safe for investment. Among altcoins, I mostly invest in these two coins. Those who want to invest for a short time, you can invest in bnb and Ethereum from altcoin. And if someone wants to invest for a long time.  But it would be better for him to invest in Bitcoin. the thing that makes me fond of investing in ethereum is probably the fact that its being used massively for staking in various project and these staking locked for quite long time period adding demand to the ethereum itself.
if it frequently being utilized like that im sure in the future other project will also follow, right now blast already reaching more than 1 billion TVL in form of ethereum alone if im not mistaken followed by manta, and so on.
its clear that these project just always try to utilize ethereum moreover the fact that ethereum l2s nowadays are just increasing in the amount so many reputable devs deploying their own L2 goes to show that ethereum will never fades.

I'm planning to apply short term trading before but since you said BTC and Ethereum are good for long term trading, I think I will include BTC because Ethereum was my target this year based on what I experienced from the little Ethereum I bought last 3 years despite I didn't apply long term but I still earn something good from them. I prefer to use short term on  other altcoins like Solana, Dogecoin trading, if I have the money to invest on them but Ethereum is my major target in this season which I know I will surely invest on Ethereum and apply long term hodling on them to improve my profits when bull run occur.

ETH is an easy 5X from here so whales will always keep that in their portfolio. Also ETH ETF approval is imminent so there will be wild speculation about ETH and we can see a 100% gain from its current price before the ETH ETF approval deadline. ETH layer 2 and LSD industries are booming. It seems layer 2 and LSDfi are going to be the next trends, along with gamefi. ETH layer 2 also make gaming project run within the vast space of the ETH ecosystem. There is more bullish sentiment about ETH in the industry so ETH is obviously the best choice.

I agree with you, every financial decision should be decided by the person who wants to invest but on the contrary, I think the OP is right to suggest the kind of investment he's interested in making hoping to get a positive response or something different from what he's interested in doing so I don't think he's wrong in bringing it here. Most times people bring their investment plans to the public just to get the suggestions of other people in other to get more knowledge on the right strategies to make.

Ethereum is always a good choice but it was best to spread our funds to different coins as well like BNB. No one having any doubt about Ethereum potential and its coming things which will create good hype with good profit for the investors as well, but I believe never put all your eggs in one bucket because this is never been ideal just because of this I usually try to keep faith in 4 to 5 coins which I feel can do good with my investment in coming months and years specially I prefer Bitcoin after this I love to keep things in Ethereum and BNB, and then I have few more like Litecoin and Dogecoin these are best for me for years.
But with these all I also regularly invested in few meme coins as well because I mostly keep eyes on market and then have some profit from them which is good for me as it's risky but good for me.

Yes it is. Ethereum price is protected due to LSD dapps and platforms. Obviously many are grinding for this for apy and some new tokens that will do some airdrops. There are plenty of tokens out there that definitely will do good but eth is one of those and also bnb that always launches new projects for new coins is kinda be a good passive income especially for those big stakers.

I would had added BNB but they don't look stable for me to trust them to do very well this bull market.

BNB might do well but there would be other altcoins that'll give more profits and I'm more interested in making more profits from my investment. Memecoins has more risk but they can give more profits. I won't invest too much into them but I can select some memecoins that I think will do well and I invest into them. I would say that's a fair request. I mean just focusing on ETH is not a bad idea and should be one that would make people a good amount of money. Looking at how it is going right now, there is a long way to go, if not mistaken around 50% to go for the ATH price and that means we are going to end up seeing the price double in the future and I expect that to happen not that late, it could be soon, maybe even as early as this year, or at least start of next year. Then the rest will be just new horizons for us.

I can see it reach as high as 10 thousand dollars, I know it sounds like a lot but when you consider how prices go up during the bull run, I could say that it could very well happen and that would be a lovely situation to be in.

I respect your love and enthusiasm for ethereum. but I don't agree with you that ethereum is the best coin for investors, ethereum has been trading between 2k and 3k. while there are so many other altcoins which double and trippled in price. see solana for example. few months ago that was trading at $20. and now it is $100 now which one is better for investor's benefit? i think solana is better.

Your choice is great. I've been seeing for years that there are a lot of people interested in Ethereum and that's why it's seeing a lot of growth in price, but it's too early to say. It is not true that ethereum will compare with bitcoin or not but I hope that it will reach 3k$ soon in this year and if this growth starts and price is stable then the price chances will going further increase to 4k$ but the only difference is that those who are big investors are not thinking of going further they immediately short it for his profit

I hope etherium future is so bright and also they can make us richest but need wait for this because it's not a common coin it's basically well coin due to it's fundamentals and all partnerships with others. I m thinking to buy more in this condition. So better for me to not waste this chance.

ethereum is the king of altcoins, but they will follow ethereum when ETH rises, and vice versa.
It's best not to forget to look at other projects that are also under the Ethereum ecosystem, then you can look at projects on the Cosmos network that are slowly becoming popular like Celestia, I think there will be many projects that want to join Celestia Modular.

I don't have plenty money to invest in separate altcoins in the market, that is why I made Ethereum my choice in this season to increase my profits since I have increase my capital to win the big profit from Ethereum and it will surely come when the bull run start flowing in the market.

All those new projects you mentioned are strange to me and I don't invest my money on any how projects without know everything i need to know about that projects before investing my money and, many people has experienced a lot of lost from those projects hoping that they are investing in the right project not knowing that is a wrong project because they didn't carry out their research before investing.

As eth is most save and considered as secure investment. So if anyone ask me to buy any altcoin as an investment then I'll definitely pick eth as my favorite altcoin. Yesterday, invested around 1 Ethereum during price under $3k and few hours later price dropping drastically and almost loss 10% after Ethereum drop to $2,8k. But I take decision to get back my capital after Ethereum price bounce again and wish another correction coming in short time because I trade or investing in Ethereum as short term not long term.
Actually has chance for Ethereum return back to higher price but market condition not stable and bitcoin has possibility with another correction for several days later.

its unfortunate that this coin keep stagnating while bitcoin is reaching $65k on the way to $70k literally like why, there's no absolute reason as to why this happened but I guess its because there's competition that seems more profitable like solana with its rather small market capital in comparation with ethereum that could be one of the reason but I think we are still on the observing side since the news of ETF hasn't gotten out anyway it can be disastrous or it can be super exciting it depends on the news and i'm sure that the market will also follow whatever market influence there is presented by the news once the news of ETF finally coming out and become the fact.

Undoubtedly, the best altcoin in the market is Ethereum. The price of Ethereum was above $4000 this year, Now the current price is now hovering above $3100. As the price has gone down a lot I think investing in present market will not be a very wrong decision this is my personal opinion.  
How much of your money you invest in which coins is up to you. Of course it is better to spread our coins in different portfolios. But I wouldn't invest any part of my money in meme coin, it gets lost quickly. I would prefer to invest 75% of my money in bitcoin and 25% in ethereum coins.

You should be specific about the ETF, the ETF has been accepted and approved by security exchange commissions in other other places but US to be specific have not there own and with the way news are going, the chance of the approval is very slim. I could remember when everyone was waiting for Bitcoin ETF approval, there was some kind of green flag vibes that the approval was given but right now, it seems a lot of red flags are included in his fillings, so if you are holding ethereum because of ETF, then you have to reconsider.
