Title: Always check the deposit address
Post by: Coin_trader on March 24, 2024, 06:19:26 AM
This is not new warning but I think people might need to be reminded about this after experiencing this personally just now. I recently made a loan using a casino wallet address, I check the wallet address if it’s the same before I ask the loan and I confirmed that it was the same.

The problem comes when the loan is already sent while my casino wallet address update right after the loan amount sent. Take note that I’m using same wallet address since I play to this casino for about 3 years and they just update my wallet address some time after I post my loan request here.

To make the story short. The balance is not credited but after a lengthy discussion with the support and after sending proof that my old wallet address is still the same when I made the deposit(loan) then they recover my funds out of good will.

The lesson here is always check the wallet address before you deposit no matter how long do you use the same address. Most importantly don’t use casino wallet address to receive funds that has a delay such as loan money and campaign payments since there’s a chance that they will update their wallet address without prior notice. Keep safe and have fun.

Do not be I rush or in a hurry. And do not get used to the address you forget to double check.
What I do is to always check the first five figures and the last five figures. Then I cross check with the on the gambling website.
I know the consequences of failure to do so. It's is like double losses. Double losses because you don't know if you will win after you stake your bet.

This is the first thing one must take notice of before making a deposit to any wallet address. Be it your own address or that of someone you know before. You have to make confirmation that the address is still available for reuse. Alot of persons has lost their funds through this unfortunate experience and could not recover them. You were lucky to have gotten your money back through the help of the casino. If it were a personal wallet address and maybe the access of the wallet wasn't longer available since it'san old address then your funds might have been lost for good. It's just a lesson that everyone must learn from.

Not only to check the wallet address before deposit but also check the address we copy and paste is correct. The same thing also should be done when it comes to withdraw, double checking the address is always recommended because once transaction is done then it cant be reversed. For special case like personal things (receiving payment or loan), using personal wallet is better so we have full control of the wallet. Using deposit address in a casino is fine as long as the main purpose of taking the loan is to gamble but if we do not want to gamble then there is no good reason to use deposit address in casino to receive payment or taking a loan.

And not only the wallet address, but checking the minimum deposit amount is also very important, so that you don't sent a money that will be considered as a donation and not deposited into your exchange or casino account.

And in addition to this I will also say that people shouldn't also be using an exchange wallet for taking either loans or for signature campaign payment, because this same issue has happened to me once,  that is, while sending BTC from my custodian wallet to my exchange wallet, I noticed that the transaction was confirmed, and yet it wasn't reflecting on my wallet, since I needed sum fiat, and that was the exact reason for making such transaction, so that was when I rechecked my wallet address back, and noticed it had been changed few days ago. So I chatted customer support, and luckily I was able to recover my funds back.

Nice to see some additional input as warning for potential problem that regards with withdrawal & deposit on a casino.

But, I specifically made this topic to create an awareness about the potential change of wallet address in an instant without notice. Let’s discuss one at a time based on the thread title to avoid discussion that will sway to my initial goal for this thread.  I’m obviously aware on all the potential danger that everyone brought up here.

This thread is for those people that use casino wallet address to receive payment that has a delay on transaction such as loan, campaign payment and other transactions that is not instant. The title implies to check the wallet address before the payment arrives to guarantee that you are still sending on the right address. In my case, It changes few hours after I sent the loan request which I don’t have time to check anymore. My mistake is I become confident that the address will not change for a short period of time because I use this address for a long time.

When you're involved in making transactions of any kind, it's absolutely essential to take your time and be extremely cautious and observant simultaneously. Sometimes you not only have to be cautious about avoiding sending money to the wrong address or account by mistake, which can happen as a result of rush. There are also other security risks out there, like those of clipboard viruses. These little bugs can sneak into your computer or device and mess things up without you even realizing it. So, it's crucial to stay vigilant and double-check everything before you hit the send button to ensure your transactions go smoothly and to the right receiver.
To avoid mistakes from clipboard attracts,I usually memorize a few consecutive characters of the address I am sending to.

that's true, sometimes casinos like to change their wallet addresses and that's why players need to double check their wallet addresses and make sure whether the wallet can still be used or not. and not only that, players also need to check the network supported by the casino and don't make the mistake of depositing money on a different network. because there are several cases where players mistakenly deposit their money on different networks, and in the end the casino is not responsible for these user errors.

Well said mate! even if we say that we have a copy or have auto signed up the deposit address we use, it is better that we always carefully check each transaction because we are also the ones who will be in trouble once we don't do that. It is our fault if there is an error in our transaction and of course when it comes to financial matter, we should not be in a hurry to handle it especially if we do it via online transaction, it is really much better if double or triple check will do.

Its important that we are not so over confident that everything is fine since we use that wallet address for long time and its better to check your wallet address each time when you do transactions so that we could not missed out any important details and we can avoid the same issue what you experience since its so hassle to contact the support and ask for their help to recover your funds.

I may not experience the same issue on casino but I experience to send my funds on exchange to unknown address and regret for not double checking or either triple check if I used the right address that's why at the moment I always make sure that everything is fine before I click the sent button each transactions I made. Glad to hear that you recover your funds and your experience may serve a good lesson to anyone that they should always check their wallet to avoid committing same mistake.

I lost a few hundred dollars due to this mistake... I even got the chain wrong a couple of times and with the help of the casino team it was resolved, but not everyone is willing to help. This is a mistake that happens mostly (at least in my case) when we are doing several things at the same time and in a hurry.

So yes, people should always double (triple) check the addresses both when we send and when we receive coins. Sometimes this mistake can be corrected, but in more cases, it will be just a waste of money.

Yes it is good to check and also check again and check carefully that the deposit address is correct. Even people that are no more newbies may send to wrong address because after sending coins to so many addresses for long term period, this will let them not to be checking the address they are sending to but which is wrong.

You send borrowed money to a gambling site address. Hope you are not addicted. Why borrowing to gamble?

Wait... why you take a loan for gambling? I believe most people know gambling using loan is really bad.

Shit happen to you, many centralized sites weren't updating the deposit address for long time, they just update it after few months or years, even though they didn't notify their customers. Glad the casino still want to recover your coins.

To be honest, I think casinos that update their deposit addresses are kinda suspicious.
This is probably the easiest way to get scammed. You send the crypto to the casino wallet address, but the casino changes the address and starts claiming that the funds were never received. Good luck trying to prove that you sent the crypto to the right address.
You were lucky in you case, because the casino didn't try to scam you. What's the point for a casino to update their wallet addresses? I've never made the mistake of receiving BTC payments directly in services like crypto exchanges and crypto casinos. I always receive my payments in my own BTC wallet first.

Some casinos would have used the opportunity to stress you but it is great to hear that your casino returned your funds after recovery. Some would have made you go through a rigorous process which might include some unbelievable KYC process. But you should suggest to them to always give notice before the change of wallet if it is not an emergency action.

This was a good observation but I thought the casino would have informed you that your address have been changed. I know that some exchanges always change the wallet address of it's customers but they always give them notice of this change and give them some time to make adjustments where necessary.

This is actually an important warning to all who gambles on crypto based casino sites because sometimes a simple mistake and oversight as this can actually cost one their whole funds both in their wallet and probably their other funds which could be sent to them thereafter especially for those who don't check on their wallet address too often enough. So you don't get to loose your funds it's important you always check on your wallet often because in some cases where the casinos don't have an effective and responsive customer care response center, yo mama loose all your funds totally.

It's always much preferable to receive your campaign funds with a wallet that's not attached to an exchange or even a gambling site but you can transfer from your personal wallet to the wallet you have gotten on any other platforms but don't use them to receive funds as it's not safe enough.

Many people are victim of this including me because during BTC network congestion I used my direct deposit address from Binance exchange and since then I have never change it to my previous address since the fee where too way higher than we expected so imagine how others could do as well maybe they might decide to use an address that will be very easier for them without going through stress and withdrawal issues. This post made me to think of changing my address maybe after this week finishes I will change to my normal address without using exchange address. You were lucky to have your fund restored back otherwise you could have gone through difficulty and tough time to have your fund credited to you account maybe there was no much complaint on the dev side that was why it is quickly restored.

I guess that was totally a coincidence because you said your casino address got updated right after the loan amount was sent. If you copied the address some minutes later before the casino updated your address, it would have still happen like this. The only way you can prevent this kind of thing for your self is by using your personal wallet to receive the deposit before you send to the other destination address you want.

Isn't it weird that you have been using an address for a while and the platform changed the address without any of your action looks highly suspicious to me. You maybe given one new address after every successful deposit or you may be given one permanent address and it will be updated if it's mandatory like switching from Legacy to Segwit but it only happens after a warning.

Yeah right, It’s really strange to me that’s why it caught me off guard despite I’m a frequent gambler that usually copy manually my wallet address or check if I’m still using the current address.

This wallet address changes without warning is very dangerous especially that casino claims that they recover the fund out of good will meaning it was supposed to be lost. The only problem is the wallet change is done out of nowhere after I just check the address by myself before I made the loan here to verify that I use the address on that specific casino.

Or it's better to make it a habit to copy the address directly from the account that you are using. That's what I am always doing to avoid any unexpected errors or such as what happened to you. There are updates that we will never know when to come and there's no guarantee that the funds we deposited will be returned. Luckily you have recovered the money that was sent to your account.

Yeah these are very important lessons not just for you but for each and every one of us. You are quite lucky that the casino you use has some integrity and efficient customer support. About the wallet address change, aren't supposed to get a notification from the casino about this update?
I know this is non of my business but did you take out the lon to gamble? Or is it a buying the dip strategy? You don't need to answer though if you don't want to.

But still its a happy ending in his case since the casino consider to help him to solve that issue so its good for people to avoid committing the same mistake as what OP did since for sure we will be stressed out experiencing the same situation.

Much really better if people check their addresses since what OP experience is avoidable mistake and we can eliminate those possibilities to happen if we are aware that certain situation like that happens so there's something to learn from his experience.

I admit that sometimes I'm not checking my casino wallet address but for reading this case for sure I will always check to see if there's changes happen.

A wrong move on your part was to take the casino deposit wallet as loan accepting address. We always tell others to use a personal wallet for this and not be in a hurry to start playing. Old deposit addresses are usually retained but you cannot count on the casino to be able to always track them. This is the mistake that could have prevented the entire scenario.

Anyway, since the problem has been resolved, I hope you dont take any more loans to gamble and if you do take them to your own wallet first and then send the money to the casino.

To avoid high transaction fees on the Bitcoin network, I started using an exchange address and it got to a time when they updated the address and I lost some Bitcoin, thankfully it wasn't much but I was unable to recover the Bitcoin, I feel at ease because the amount isn't much but I got scared after thinking about what if I sent a lot of Bitcoin into the wallet?

I reached out to exchange customer services and they don't even care, they ask how much and that's it, I replied but they never got back to me, when I told a friend who's close to me, he said the amount is too small for them to even waste their time on, that if it's much they would help.

My mind was on, what if they don't help? Since that day I have learned to always go back and check the address if it's still the same old address before sending any Bitcoin to the address, be careful trusting crypto wallets from exchanges or any online casinos, those addresses are not permanent.

While not a new warning, I think it's important to warn on a scale that always make sure the deposit address is correct before making a deposit.
A casino's deposit address usually changes. If you don't check when you want to make a deposit, it could be a mistake that doesn't come from the casino because the casino may have also informed you via email.

You can of course recover your funds but it might take time as they need to check the system if that wallet address really belong to you. Your account his history of deposits, and once they found that the address was deposited once, that means it already belonged to you and any further deposits coming in should be credited to you.

Thanks for the warning anyway, I don't know but I think I have tried it before, but most of the time when I take a loan, I'm using my exchange wallet address but make sure to verify it before I post it in the lending thread.

That's a really problematic situation OP, it's good that they managed to fund you with all the hassle surrounding that account. It's a good deal that you check the deposit wallet address every time you are transacting. I hope everyone does the same measure with their accounts.

I have quite some paranoia with transacting with accounts so I always double-check before doing anything.

It's not just for gambling really, any transaction you do you should always double or triple-check the addresses that you send to. Most transactions especially if they're not centralized wouldn't be returned after all so submitting a ticket would be pretty damn useless. In OPs case it seems like everything worked out well since the casino controls their own local network of wallets but if it wasn't, then I'd say you wouldn't have been able to recover the funds.

Kinda weird though since afaik, they should update you whenever such things change, if they ever do (which afaik shouldn't).

Now after losing some good amount I have my lesson even I am late but still its good now usually before any transaction I double-check because I have few big loses like I lost nearly 1 Ethereum which I send on ETC address in Poloniex exchange, and they never give me back with I again send nearly 0.2 bitcoin on blockchain site which was also been never recover, and now I am having no hopes as well for my these amounts, but things like these give me good lesson with I am regularly checking and doing carefully all my stuff.
But surely now thread like these are doing good work for the newbies as they needed to be more careful because mostly exchanges never give back your this hard-earned money back to you.

I once lost around $500 because I gave my deposit address wrong. Since then I double check the deposit address. And I think the address is not properly checked while making the deposit And it's very unwise to be in a hurry when making a deposit. I lost $500 that day because I did this stupid thing myself. What I originally did was replace one blog chain with another blog chain address.

Thanks for the reminder. Changing of wallet address by casino and exchanges without any notification is not good. I am happy that you were able to get your funds back, because they know that the money is in your old wallet asdress. I don't think anyone that is not being paid directly to his casino wallet address, should use their casino wallet address to receive payment, only if you intend using all the money to gamble.

I had similar issues last month with my exchange waaler address. It was change unknown to me, and I transferred funds from my noncustodial wallet to the exchange. I didn't see my funds there, when the transaction has been confirmed for over 6 hrs. This was when I took my time to go through the exchange, and I discovered that they money was in my old address which I had to do it manually for it to reflect, which took close to 10 minutes.

Always check, and re-check the address before sending funds into it or use it to receive funds.

If you're not using a wallet that you can control, be sure to always double check the deposit address I always make it a point to do that because some platform are not notifying their users about the changes or updates of the wallet, its a big hassle and issue if you happened to sent to address that they've already placed.
You should do this at all times even at the wallet that you can control because there is such a thing as clip malware.
Checking the deposit address will only takes a minute or two you have to check the first 4 digit and the 4 last digit.

This happened to me as well, not on a gambling platform but rather on Binance. I never received any communications about changing addresses or any of that stuff, but I still had my account change its receiving/deposit address and send some funds to it. Luckily, Binance was able to transfer those funds to my new address and everything went smoothly.

I understand that upgrades in these platforms do happen. What I don't understand is why they are not releasing communications about the change to their members. A simple email outlining the changes is already a huge help but no, they will just randomly put links for you to click and hopefully read what's change and what's staying.

Yes while depositing you must double check the deposit wallet otherwise you may lose money. also when you copy the wallet check it well that the wallet is copied correctly or not. one time I made such a mistake was when depositing a token to an exchange I mistakenly sent the tokens to the token's contract address. and I lost them. Since then I have been very careful about these things and I always check the addresses carefully before depositing anything. Because in the case of cryptocurrency, once a transaction is successful, it can never be reversed

This is true, not only for casino accounts but also for exchange accounts. I try to stick to best practices when it comes to crypto and just copy addresses freshly every time I want to make transactions. Some services will ask for the address to be whitelisted, don't. Only very platforms will bother to help you recover your money and the time wasted going back and forth.

Also, don't forget to cross check the last 4-6 first, last and some middle numbers to confirm it's a match before confirming a transaction. On rare occasions, this practice might come in handy.

After read @OP's story, this is not about always check the address, but don't use address from centralized sites when you/someone can't send the coins ASAP. @OP didn't make mistake since he posted his address, it will different case if @OP copied a wrong address and send it to the lender.

To be safer, it's better to use your own non custodial wallet to receive the coins.

using reliable services for this type of deposit is the minimum... personally, I am considering this is one as one of my biggest "fears" when making a deposit on an online service (casino, exchange etc...)
solution? take screenshots where you can clearly see the deposit address, the date and time. Always check after "pasting" whether the address matches....

Checking the wallet address is a must thing before we sends the money to the casino or other. We may seen this experiences many time and not just one because the casino will adjust their system maybe that's because to improve the security. We must make sure that everything is under control so we don't gets any problem when we playing gambling.

It's a reminder to us to always makes sure the wallet address before we deposit so we don't send to the wrong address. Thanks for the reminder @OP.

The problem comes when the loan is already sent while my casino wallet address update right after the loan amount sent. Take note that I’m using same wallet address since I play to this casino for about 3 years and they just update my wallet address some time after I post my loan request here.
I say, it's one in a thousand chances that it could happen, idk if i will say it's really a bad luck since you already resolve it.

The lesson here is always check the wallet address before you deposit no matter how long do you use the same address. Most importantly don’t use casino wallet address to receive funds that has a delay such as loan money and campaign payments since there’s a chance that they will update their wallet address without prior notice. Keep safe and have fun.
More like, always check the wallet address on the deposit page of the platform either it's an exchange, or casino every time you want to make a deposit or receive from someone. And yes, if it's not for casino deposits then don't use the deposit address likewise if it's not for an exchange funds.

I think you are quite lucky because the casino doesnt use a 3rd party payment gateway like coinpayments, so they can solve the problem straight away.
If they use third party services, it will certainly take time to resolve this problem.
It could take 1-2 weeks or maybe more depending on the response from the payment gateway company.

I experienced similar situation but it was happened in an exchange service where my wallet address is changed but the exchange did not notify me about the change (I saved the address in a notepad)
Luckily the exchange is responsible and friendly enough so they helped me and I receive the coin after a short communication with the live support.
Lesson learned, I stop my habit to save an address in a notepad or somewhere else, it is better for me to open my account first (whether exchange or casino) to copy the address directly from the account.

This has never happened to me personally. I know some sites switch up deposit addresses regularly, or let you ask for a new one if you want.  But usually the old ones still work too, in my experience anyway.

A change after using the same address for a while could mean the casino did some kinda upgrade.  Maybe they beefed up security or got a new wallet system to take deposits. But if it was me, I'd hit up their customer support to double check I'm sending my money to the right spot next time.  Just to be sure.

Wait... why you take a loan for gambling? I believe most people know gambling using loan is really bad.

Finally! Someone brought this up. Hahahaha!

Yes, it's best to just use a personal wallet so that it's easier to send it wherever we want, if you use a third party wallet, whether it's a casino or an exchange site, they are very vulnerable to changing the user's deposit address, but in my experience, exchange sites will usually notify their users via email that there has been a change in the deposit address so that there is no confusion and problems like this, it could be that the casino has notified you and you missed their email because it is impossible for them to just change your deposit address without notification.

But this is a good warning for beginners, usually they are sometimes careless in this matter, but I don't mean that you are a beginner, but in most cases the average beginner often makes small mistakes like that, after all using a personal wallet would be better than Using a third party, especially from loan funds, may be problematic if later the funds cannot be recovered by the casino, obviously it is very dangerous, my one suggestion is that every gambler should need to open their email all the time so as not to miss information on changes to their deposit address.

No reputable casino have such kind of actions towards giving deposit address as far as I know so you check whether they mentioned about their unwarned address change in their ToS and most likely it won't be there which means there is something going on and if you have alternative casinos then better play where you are comfortable instead of risking your money again there.

This is true base on my experience, my deposit on local casino that use 3rd party payment    got stuck for a long time just because it expires already before my transaction confirmed due to increasing fee on Bitcoin network while I use wallet that doesn’t support RBF to bump my fee.

But most of the crypto casino available in the forum use internal wallet to all their deposits that’s why it’s easy for them to recover transactions but some casino consider it a loss if you use old address which the casino doesn’t support anymore due to their upgrade.

This warning is important. The thing is that you cannot rule out mistakes in human living. I have credited the wrong account in the past and that incident just flashed back when I saw this topic. I wasn`t happy and I had to write to the casino through their customer care but they couldn’t help out since it was negligence on my part. Since then, whenever I want to make any deposit I take my time to crosscheck the address even though it has been automatically saved I still make sure it is the right address. I don’t want to repeat the same mistake.

One of the ways to avoid this is to save the address to the casino account to avoid inserting the address anytime you want to make a deposit. If the casino has such a feature then utilize it but if the casino does not have such a feature due to security reasons as most will claim then don’t be in a hurry when making a deposit. Give it all your attention.

I would use another approach, get the loan that you requested to some wallet that you own and then from there you can send to the casino where you play from 3 years to enjoy your session.I know that this way you spend more in fees but it is better to spend and sacrifice a little amount in fees and be absolutely sure that no one can change your wallet address in Electrum wallet for example rather than relying on the casino deposit wallets,I know many people use those wallets and I also do some time but you never know what to expect from them, maintenance, change of address and they have made it clear to us that these things can happen,so better to use your own wallet where you are 100% sure.

It's a pity for those who love using a casino deposit address to participate in any campaign or use the address for a collection of loan most people fails to understand that those site update their addresses or it expires after some certain duration new address will be generated for users to enable them reduce the rate at which their transactions are being monitored. Most time it's good to use a wallet that you own and control the seed phrase to be sure of your funds do not apply any loan or campaign with address you don't have a personal access to it.

You're lucky bro that the casino's support is responsive and understands the situation, they understand that things like this happen, and maybe because they do not have this on their terms.
Things like this happen so we should not feel comfortable when sending and receiving funds at our address whether it is a custodial or noncustodial wallet or wallet coming from any platform always check and double the correctness of the address.

It's good that you created this topic for awareness newbies do not about wallet updates on platforms where you make deposits and about clipboard malware, so you must make it a habit of checking your address even if it takes time, an ounce of prevention is better than a pound of cure.

You were quite lucky the casino was reasonable enough to credit your new address after being shown some proof. Why they decided to change it without you requesting for the change after almost 3 years is beyond me.
It could be considered a chore to some impatient people, but it’s important and always advisable to always double check the receiving address to make sure you’re sending to the right address.

This is the most important or most important thing in maintaining our security when gambling, namely that when we want to make a new transaction we have to be really thorough and check whether the wallet address we are using is correct and in accordance with the previous rules or not. Yes, we often check whether the wallet address we use has been validated or not. because the wallet address is related to finance, we should not rush in implementing it. The slightest mistake will cause big problems for us, instead of making a profit, we ourselves will suffer losses.

The thing is, a crypto currency wallet address is a complex address, meaning, as you notice, the address is like a randomised number and letter, so it's hard to memorise the actual address. That's why it is also prone to sending to the wrong address, as sometimes there's a missing letter or what. That's why it's better to have your wallet address copied and pasted so that when you are doing another transaction, you will just paste your wallet address to avoid this kind of accident, because no matter how you do in the support or customer support, if you provide the wrong address, they can't do anything about it.

I also experienced this kind of accident, and of course I regret it and it hurt my funds, but it was a moral lesson to me. The thing is, no matter what kind of safety you choose, it is unavoidable sometimes.

You don’t need to memorize your wallet address because you will need to check and verify it on your casino deposit address to make sure that you are still depositing to the right address. Doing manual copy always makes you safe in every transaction. Also it’s useless to memorize your casino wallet address if there’s a chance that it will change just like what the subject of this thread.

For sure we all had such problem if not almost. Addresses are not common characters we encounter on a daily basis; a single character would cause you problem. Even with copy pasting, I still assure to check the address I would be sending my funds with. This is not alike with bank transactions wherein there are only a few characters we would be taking note of. But in a general perspective, we should always be more careful of things given that money is the thing we are doing transactions of and if something's important, it won't cost you anything if you would be putting more care of it.
You were quite lucky the casino was reasonable enough to credit your new address after being shown some proof. And such chance or instance won't be given on a daily basis, and should be indeed an enough warning to be careful at all times if something important for you would be at risk. We're just being too confident of things if we got used to it but however, it will be our sole responsibility to make things right and to not be too careless of almost aything involving money; if rich ones does, what more of small investors or gamblers right?

Of course this is a good warning for all of us, especially beginners who are new to online crypto casino sites, about the accuracy and checking of deposit addresses in online casinos which are often ignored by those who frequently bet, So it often causes us to lose money when making deposits.

This has happened to me before, I forgot to check the deposit address, luckily I hadn't made a deposit, when I checked the old address and the new one it had changed without any notification, This shows how important it is for us here before depositing checks to be careful and copy the address every time we make a deposit, this is all for the comfort and safety of all of us, hopefully this is a serious warning to all gamblers.

Thanks for the reminder, yes it is cliché but it is very important for some people, because too confident in what they are doing will make them forget and legitimize the address that has been changed, so the casino. I think it will be quite useful for many new people and remind forum members who have forgotten about this important rule, as well as the growth of advertising in casinos is very large and we can forget or whatever it is so that our funds are stuck in the casino address.

Thankfully your funds have been recovered and it was very wise of the casino you used.

And not only the wallet address, but checking the minimum deposit amount is also very important, so that you don't sent a money that will be considered as a donation and not deposited into your exchange or casino account.

This is one of things that normally affect most people because not everyone that has the habits of reading and they will just rushed into it without a thorough checking and at the end they began to regret, however I have actually witnessed a situation were a friend was trying to make a deposit but forgetting to check the minimum deposit that is allowed and after making the deposit he stayed for a very long time waiting for the deposit to arrive but could not see it, so he had to visit there support system for complain that was when they told him the reason why his deposit couldn't arrive because he did not meet the minimum deposit, so perhaps that's why people really need to be careful and read things through before making any deposit, so just like you have mentioned and few other people checking the minimum deposit amount and also confirming the wallet address is very important before making any deposit.

You are right and they were able to track the transaction back to you because you actually used the address traceable to that wallet or casino account despite their update of the previously used address on your account because the record will still be there, maybe they changed into another current wallet for you after they have updated it.

So it actually a lesson to be sure even if you are using a casino address, you use the address traceable to you. However, it has been said that addresses are better to be exclusively yours and not a centralized wallet address and in such cases you don't need to send centralized wallet address to collect a loan.

If the casino has it in their terms that they cannot recover coins sent on a wrong address they may not grant your request its good bro that they still consider your request.

I become fully aware of this because of the clip board malware when I first read about this virus I always make sure and make it a habit, to always check the address in any platform at all times.

Cryptocurrency transaction has no charge back so the only way not to regret your transaction is to make it a habit to check and double check it will take a few minutes but it will save you a lot, remember you are your own bank you are the teller of your coins so always double check.

I have never had an experience like that with a casino. but I experienced the situation in exchange. they also make the same address changes you experience with your casino. I usually just copy the last address I made a deposit and just send it. I didn't know that there had been an address update made. but I also got the funds restored to my exchange account after some discussion.

I'm not sure why some platforms update deposit addresses for their users. maybe we missed the announcement from them which might have been sent via email. From this experience, we have to pay more attention every time we make a transaction, it is better to check the destination address first if we don't want to experience quite complicated problems in recovering assets.

If one had an assistant or a coach, then one can have the luxury of not verifying routine things, which due to the aforementioned 'time,' which really is a couple of minutes or less of review, but we ignore them.

And not only the wallet address, but checking the minimum deposit amount is also very important, so that you don't sent a money that will be considered as a donation and not deposited into your exchange or casino account.
however I have actually witnessed a situation were a friend was trying to make a deposit but forgetting to check the minimum deposit that is allowed and after making the deposit he stayed for a very long time waiting for the deposit to arrive but could not see it, so he had to visit there support system for complain that was when they told him the reason why his deposit couldn't arrive because he did not meet the minimum deposit,
That's true, and one of the areas I have noticed to have this high minimum deposit are all these new-generation casinos (i.e casinos who got launched with the last 3yrs), with a minimum deposit most times of over $20, of which if by mistake you happen to send any coin below the minimum deposit, its authentically considered as a donation and irreversible. Hence, the need for taking note of those very important, because one annoying thing I have noticed is that most casinos don't always write/indicate minimum deposit at areas that are easily visible to gamblers, but could be found in casino terms and conditions, hence, the need for reading it's terms and conditions is always very important.

Whatever I deposit to the casino always check the deposit wallet and never keep the casino wallet and then send some coins there without opening an account to the casino, because something like this is definitely not wanted but fortunately the casino is still generous even though it has to discuss and provide evidence to be credited back.

I still haven't experienced anything like this myself, but this warning seems insignificant but people should be aware and should not do this because after all the casino can change the deposit wallet at any time even without notification to the email.

Agreed.  Any wallet you use that you don't control you absolutely need to.  I wouldn't get funds sent to an address I don't control either.  Whenever receiving crypto I would have it sent to a custodial wallet where I have control of the keys.  Then I would send to the secondary site.  To many mistakes can be made and almost impossible to undo.  Glad you got your situation figured out.

The risk of using third party wallets is that we must always check the deposit address because cases like this often occur in casinos or exchanges, the change of address must be announced to the user so that the user can update the new address for depositing, my friend also almost lost his balance because he deposited to the exchange address which is often used but it turns out excahgen has updated a new address, he reported the case to the exchange and they have added the balance, so I always have to get into the habit of copying the deposit address from the exchange or casino wallet to make sure I have sent the balance to the right wallet.

When I saw this thread I immediately ran to the stake to check if my deposit address had been changed, as I always use the same deposit address at the stake, but it was not changed, anyway I check the address I got 10 times or more. I intend to deposit before I make any deposit, including I have updated the website and then click on the deposit option to see if the deposit address remains the same address and only after much checking do I decide to deposit my coins. but it wasn't always like that, I learned this thanks to a sad lesson I had in the past where I wanted to deposit money on a website and when I copied the website address I didn't pay attention when I pasted it, at that time there was a virus that allowed the person copies address

But when I was going to make a paste, the address was different and as I didn't pay attention when I made a paste, I sent money to the wrong address, but after that I started checking many times before I sent anything to an address. That's why with this post I'm going to pay even more attention to what the op reported, I think that we always have to be very cautious and vigilant when sending coins and when receiving coins.

Well, i think we should never use any casino wallet address or exchange wallet address if we are expecting payment for someone and that payment is a bit delayed etc. Why don't you give your personal wallet address to the person whom you wanted to gave you loan and once you got the money in your personal wallet you can deposit it any where you want after getting the latest deposit address of a centralized site.

Recently binance also change their deposit address after informing their user and the casino site may also change their deposit address with or without intimation so if we want to give  deposit address to someone, it is always better to give a address that belong to us and there is no chance of being address getting changed and this can be only grantee if we use a personal wallet.

Did this happen to you on Stake.com? It also happened to me but in a different scenario. They credited my deposit after confirming that the address I used was from Stake.com. The same thing happened with my XRP deposit; I deposited it without using a destination tag, but they reminded me that if it happens again they won't credit it next time.

Everything must be done calmly, carefully and not in a hurry. because if not, then this will only push us into unintentional mistakes, and in the end we will regret it. A very trivial thing, but it has quite serious impacts and causes losses. It's still better if, for example, we make a deposit or withdrawal in a small amount, what if it's a large amount? Maybe it will be an event that we really regret and will be difficult to forget.

And starting from this problem, it is quite important for us to always be careful in doing everything, whether in gambling activities or other things. and trying to stay calm is the main key. Take a little time to check the deposit and withdrawal addresses listed on your casino account, just for a moment, just a few minutes. We need to do this so that undesirable things do not happen.

It surely is not a good idea to use a casino address wallet in the first place, especially for receiving a loan money deposit, because there might be some issues in the platform, and also there is always a possibility of your account getting frozen because it's surely a centralized platform.

The platform here is doing some shady things still because of the sudden change of address at least there might be some notice at least on email, because the address is an important thing, also if there are a new wallet address generated the main one should still be working that just means you're going to have two address already, rules of thumb for sure all of the funds on the past address should still be credited on your account unless it was actually deleted on the list of address since you just generated a new one its common I guess to a lot of wallets. But I guess it is a little different on the casino platform because they could do whatever they wanted to do, so you have no claim on it, but still, you could always make a complaint on the support if they have a good one its customer if they will not give back your money I would consider it a red flag.

Also, there are a lot of cases of funds sent to the wrong address or hack method that involves the wrong deposit address so it's going to be a good practice, especially for a trader to always double-check the address, there are some cases where they are pasting the wrong address even though they just copy the address on the platform, if you always double check you could easily see right to that.

Don't use casino wallets for your personal transactions like loan. But I think that you've taken out a loan for you to gamble if not then, that's a mistake that you've made and you should never done that again because you'll never know if they'll have some updates again in the coming times. On their end, it should still be fine to use old addresses but they should have given notice to their users that they'll have an update and old addresses won't be used anymore and anyone who deposits there will still get the funds but they only can use it until x days.
That should be the reminder or notice that they have given to their users so that everyone is aware that they won't have to use the old addresses just for the sake of their safety.

Good thing that they'd still allowed you that because if there's a destination tag and it's being asked for every deposit, you really have to include that. But then, that's stake, they're considerate but we as users have to check everything many times before doing some deposits.

Always research before sending and make sure everything is correct.
I always apply this when I want to send any amount of funds, because some incidents about changed addresses like the OP experienced will certainly create panic because they cannot be canceled again when they have been sent.

The OP is still lucky that the old address can still be accessed by the casino,
but if it is wrong to send it to another address or an address other than the one owned by the gambling, it will not be able to be returned again.

Some events such as the copied address changing another address because it is infected with malware, it will be very dangerous,
make sure all addresses are correct from end to end.
I myself took a few minutes to double-check all the address numbers listed whether they were correct or not.

You should name the casino, because it's not a professional and honest behaviour. Nobody would accept that from an exchange. I am frequently paying my VPN with cryptos and the paying/deposit address changes very quickly so it often changes before the transaction has been confirmed but my balance is always credited and I would feel scam if it wasn't. I hope it was just a mistake from the customer support agent but in this situation a professional one should just apologize and instantly credit your balance except if there had been a explicit warning against the use of the address because it had been compromised.

Exactly, its not necessary to check the address completely, but the least everyone should do is check at least the beginning and end of it.
And this doesn't just apply to casino deposit addresses, but also to exchanges or any other external service you use.

I once witnessed the case of a participant in my subscription campaign who used an exchange address to receive weekly payments.
It could be an excellent way to save on transaction fees, but he paid a much higher price than that after discovering that the exchange changed the deposit address and consequently this participant lost an entire week of work.

Ultimately, it's a basic learning experience, but one that many ignore over time or become accustomed to.

      -   I remembered before, when I didn't double check the address, that I had deleted a letter at the end of the address. I found out when it was sent, and then when I looked at the explorer,
I discovered that one letter at the end of the address had been deleted from the from the address destination that I put.

So it's right that we should just make sure to check it first before sending a confirmation. So it's right that you made this a reminder. Oh, good day to you.

Those things usually happen, one day something almost happened to me but different, because I went to send an altcoin, but I didn't verify the network, then the network was BEP20 and I almost placed ERXC-20, I don't know what happened, maybe it didn't happen sent, but in times of trouble one cannot make withdrawals or deposits, because that could mean a serious error and things could get confused, and waste money due to one of those errors, I don't know how it would be done, or how it would be recovered , but this could result in losing it.

It is very good that they encourage you to check carefully at the time of deposit and also at the time of withdrawal, any error can be very expensive and if it is in bitcoin it is even worse because it is expensive to send.

Not about a casino though but it's a related occurrence, I remember the last time binance changed my account wallet address I was pre-informed relative to the days given as deadline of the old address expiration.

Sometimes casino could drop notification about change of address in time but there are some gamblers who don't attend to their notification button to see information behind unattended messages. We should all make it a culture to open any new notification we receive in our account without day so we don't have to attend to it when it's already late.

Another info is that we should cram the last three to five digits of our wallet address end to end and verify if it's correct before using it for any transactions,  not because we have always been using it for long doesn't mean an error in copy and paste can't occur.

Good thing that they do able to grant out and give those funds back but since you could provide the proof that you've been able to use up that address for long time then it would really be just that ethical on their part that they would really be releasing your funds. We do know that most of casinos arent really that making out such update when it comes to changing up their address on which this is only
happening on exchange when it comes to updating wallet address Ex. Binance. So far i havent been able to encounter up such changes in casinos and now that you've shared it then
it do really shows that they are also doing this stuff on casinos on which its really just that right that you should really be watching your deposit address on the time that you would be tending
to deposit some funds.

That is why it is important to use a non-custodial wallet because we have our own control even if it is depositing coins there whereas to a casino or other centralized platform if they update the depositing address then it needs proof to be credited.

I have experienced the same but it was in the exchange not in the casino so they still credit even though the wallet has been updated it was in the Kucoin exchange.
Yes it is better to double check the wallet to make sure it has not undergone any other updates sometimes we always do this even though it is trivial.

I recently made a loan using a casino wallet address,
Unless it is money meant for gambling it is usually a big mistake to receive money meant for other purpose through your gambling account.

Cross-checking of deposit address whenever it is to be made should be a culture of every investor because asides deposits address changing, there is also the possibility of clipboard virus in your device without your knowledge so you must always cross check to be sure so that whenever an address changes you will be prompt to really observe it before you make the mistake of sending.

I understand OP since it's no hassle to re-use the always-used deposit address and gambling sites mostly don't update the deposit address, different from trading platforms and exchanges. I also have that habit when withdrawing from exchanges to gambling sites. As far as I know, the gambling site should have no problem fixing that issue since according to OP, it's just the moment when the funds are sent, that the deposit address got changed.

Good thing that OP got the deposit money and everything went well.

This copy paste error is something that has become a familiar thing in the crypto world especially when it comes related to sending out funds from different wallet because this is not only pin to collection of loan but the overall thing every crypto enthusiast should do is to know that he or she needs to double check the transaction he or she is about to make because like you said once a transaction is broadcast to the network, it's a one-way ticket and no going back.

It is quite important for us to always check our wallet addresses more carefully and carefully, beforehand we will carry out transactions, especially transactions carried out on an online gambling platform. And if there is a change in the nature of your wallet with prior notification, or for example because we missed the information or simply forgot. Of course, this could result in quite a serious problem, like what you experienced (OP). Apart from that, it is quite important for us to be able to sort and choose a stable and reliable payment method when carrying out a transaction, especially when talking about a transaction such as a loan or payment. We need to pay attention to these things, so that we can avoid anything unexpected, and prevent losses.

I thank the OP for sharing his experience, which of course will be a lesson and warning for all of us and also me personally to be more careful in carrying out transactions or other financial activities.

That's a rare instance but I agree that we have to check it and make it a habit wherever we're going to get our deposit addresses.

So, this could also potentially happen in some services that you're using their address and not from your own wallet that you've generated. Even it is a rare thing to commence.

Do it at all times whenever you're going to send or give it to someone that will send you funds in Bitcoin or any other cryptocurrencies.

Whenever I make a deposit to any wallet address, I don’t use the wallet that I already copied down, I do copy the wallet directly from the gambling site. There might be an update, and there will be a change in wallet address, which you won’t really notice. I think it's better as you make this post. I am sure most people will be using the one they have copied for some period of time, and they will never confirm if the wallet is the same as the one on their gambling site, they will just send money to the one they have copied for some time. You are lucky that you got your money back. Some people might not be so lucky to get their money back.

What a bad timing indeed. Honestly, there was no problem at all on the side of OP, regardless of whether he was using a casino address or from any wallet since he always checked the deposit address no matter what when doing a deposit transaction.

It's just that when the expected funds arrived that deposit address got updated a while ago.

A bad timing and the site should not keep OP hanging on that problem. Usually, even if it was sent to the former address, the funds should still be received by OP since there should be at least a period before the former address will be completely unlinked to the OP's deposit address on that platform.

Its good that the said casino did really make out such consideration on giving it back on which it would really be just that right that they would really be doing so specially if they havent been able to include it into their terms or having no announcement of such change address then its just right that they would be giving it back because if its not and its been proven that this is an address that belongs to the casino then it would
really be making such big ruckus when complaints and issues been raised. Just like on what most people been saying that it would be always better that you should really be checking deposit addresses on the time that you would really be making out such transfers on which we know that there might be some last minute change on which it would really be resulting into such hassle on which this is something
that we dont really like to happen.

I agree, it's should be honored by the casino if that address is designated to OP's account. They can always verify and recover funds that are sent to that address because they have no prior mentioned announcement for that change.

He did the right thing of checking his deposit address first which is a norm for each of us before doing any transaction.

It is that the situation startled by the casino for doing some updates and there's no need to argue with that if a user used the old address and they have made that update just a few minutes ago after the transaction was done.

Knowing about clipboard malware and the irreversible nature of bitcoin transactions, it has become a habit for me to double check my wallet address before proceeding with any transactions. I have read similar stories like yours about people losing money because they made a mistake with their wallet address. Thanks for the heads up, I'm aware exchanges periodically update their address but this is the first time I'm getting to know casinos do same. This is a lesson to everyone and I'm happy that you were able to recover your funds back.

I guess you also learnt a valuable lesson not to use a casinos wallet address to ask for loan because you might not be lucky to get your loan application processed on time and if there's a wallet update, you might not be lucky the second time getting things sorted out with the casino's support.

@OP isn't checking and verifying any deposit address a standard operating procedure whenever we deposit?  I wonder what makes you careless about not checking your deposit address especially when it is  used as receiving address for a loan.  I am glad that the casino you are playing with is considerate people and you are able to recover your funds.

This is also one of the major rules I follow, verify the address every time I make a deposit after the experience of sending an amount of crypto to the wrong address in my early years in cryptocurrency.  It was around 0.025 BTC worth of altcoin.  I got confused and sent the amount to an address that does not belong to me but in my sent and received history (using the altcoin wallet itself)  It was a complete lost and from that I learned my lesson to not only double check but triple check and even verifying the last first and last six digit of the receiving address.

You took a loan and sent the money into your casino wallet address, do you want to gamble with borrowed funds? I hope not, because that is not a good thing to do. Take note that you should always check and copy the right address when you are receiving or sending funds to a custodial wallet, you can't be sure if the service have changed the deposit address in your account. I know that you may be avoiding tx fees, but it is recommended to receive funds from a third party in your own self custodial wallet and then you can fund your casino address by yourself.

That is my impression here, but that's his business anyway. But this reminder one should always do even if it is only one week that you know you have copied your address. Because every time you want to send some funds, you make sure that you check and copy the address. Like for example, some exchanges update their wallets and so the addresses may change.

Good story and all that, but let me share a story of mine as well lol. Didn't particularly happen to me because of gambling but almost happened while I was trying to swap cryptos in between exchanges (binance to my phantom wallet and then jupiter), I didn't notice that I had my crypto from Solana and almost sent it to a wrong deposit address (Binance gives you the option of either sending Solana coins in a BEP20 exchange, or through Solana classic deposit address), I had double tapped on BEP20 and honestly didn't know if it would go through but luckily I was able to not press the yellow button of confirmation, saving me from a probable loss of a couple hundred dollars in crypto I would've used to make bets in.

Also happened to a friend of mine in the past here, he got clowned by oldies in this forum as he mistakenly copied the address of someone from the forum while trying to copy the format of the signature campaign application. People are so quick to call that out (and as they should) but it was evident it was an honest mistake.

Be very careful of your deposit addresses whether you're gambling or not, it's very easy to lose your money in here by mispressing a button or sending the wrong address. Don't be a cautionary tale.

You made a big mistakes for using a casino wallet to deposit anything other than making deposits to gamble with, because receiving a loan or other payments with a casinos wallet is like exposing yourself and loan amount into higher risk that will eventually go wrong for you as a gambler,  bit then also you are right in your warning in the area of always going to the casinos or whatever wallet page of the platform you want to use and copying the address afresh each time you want to make a deposits because most of this platforms changes their address so often.

Is pauses higher risk for you as a gamblerto have balance in your casinos account and left alone receiving loans credit via such risk medium unless if you are taking the loan to gamble with.

You're absolutely correct, there's always need to double-check your transactions before going ahead to send them, especially when it comes to crypto, because once a crypto transaction has been sent and confirmed, there's no more turning back as you can't recover the funds if eventually it went to the wrong address.

Mistakes are most likely to occur whenever we are in a hurry or when our brain or mind is currently occupied with other matters and this is why it's very important to always double-check and confirm your transactions, even when you're not in a hurry or occupied with other things, to avoid losing your funds.

Everyday we hear about how people lose their crypto assets due to this clipboard virus issues, and this is because they've refused to double-check before sending the final command, this is why we must always be extra careful and attentive when sending out funds, whether crypto or even fiat.

That's right, on average when you want to make a cryptocurrency transaction you have to re-correct the recipient's address because if one letter is different it won't go into the wallet you have, even now it is equipped with several different networks, so you have to be careful when you want to When carrying out cryptocurrency transactions, make sure the recipient address and network used are correct.

The lesson here is always check the wallet address before you deposit no matter how long do you use the same address. Most importantly don’t use casino wallet address to receive funds that has a delay such as loan money and campaign payments since there’s a chance that they will update their wallet address without prior notice.
I agree, as much as possible we should have a spare wallet where we can send the borrowed money instead of relying on the casino's deposit address. And it's better to be cautious by going through the extra effort of creating another transaction to avoid those unexpected problems.

Also, it's good to hear that the casino helped you recover the money in the end because i've heard similar cases from others and I rarely see them getting it back.

Wait... why you take a loan for gambling? I believe most people know gambling using loan is really bad.

Shit happen to you, many centralized sites weren't updating the deposit address for long time, they just update it after few months or years, even though they didn't notify their customers. Glad the casino still want to recover your coins.

To me it seems pathetic, he asks for a loan to gamble in the casino, deposits it directly there, and almost loses it by not checking the address. The worst thing is that the discussion is focused on the fact that you have to check the address, and not on the danger of taking loans to gamble.

Sounds absurd and not really something that recommended but well its impossible that he's isnt aware on what he's doing. If the take a loan to gamble then just let them be.
People are really just that too love on discussing other things on which he do knows about the risks on gambling a loan money and just been said that its impossible that he's isnt aware
on the risk. If he could be able to repay those loans then it would really be just that fine but if its not then this is where issues and problems would really be starting.

In regarding about the problem then it would really be that easy for the site to trace it up.If the address does really belongs on them them they would be able to give
back those funds without any issues which its normal but if not then we do know on what would happen.

That's necessary if we don't want to lose without betting. But I bet the casino, a just casino would credit an account to your balance once it's on their wallet. Because in this case, it's easy for OP to prove that the address is link to his deposit account, and casino could not deny that, otherwise OP can create a scam accusation with the casino and I'm sure the community will symphatize.

Yes, it was a mistake for not checking the address first, or making sure that the loan will be sent immediately, but as we can trace, it will point it to the  owner of the address which is OP..Borrowing money for gambling is just another story, we don't tackle it here.

But the problem I see here mate is what if the change happens almost minute or second apart from the sending of the funds? I mean the timing of the sending is almost same from the changing of wallet address then this will still occur like what you have experience here.

though I wanna congratulate you for having back your funds and since this is a loan you are lucky that you have a chance of using your gambling loan to try another luck than just gone in the wind.

Don't borrow money to play, let alone use the casino's wallet address as a place to receive the borrowed money. Playing gambling does not require having to borrow money because it has exceeded the appropriate limit.

But, indeed, we must always confirm the wallet address before sending it. The wallet address at the casino will not always be the same. @OP is lucky he can still prove it to get the funds.

Some people can't get their funds back so checking the wallet address several times is necessary. Make sure everything is before you send the money.

I don't know if the casinos do change ones wallet address or not pr maybe on request anyway, but to those that issues loans, it is better that we make use of a non-custodial wallets for this purpose than using a custodial wallet address in such regards, this will definitely prevent us from having any possible future unnecessary shows that might come up as such had been described by OP from his experience in doing same, we have this an avenue of being informed prior the time.

I personally think that they should have recovered your funds not out of their good will, but just because it was their duty if you have proved that the funds were sent to the old address provided by them.

But your post is useful nevertheless. It would never hurt checking your deposit address one more time.

I must say that you happened to be very unlucky about the timing your casino decided to update your personal depositing address, to be honest.
Though, I am glad you managed to recover your funds in the end.

I believe gamblers in general would feel more comfortable depositing in their personal casinos accounts if casinos and sport books alike did what big exchanges already do: whenever they are about to change one's depositing address to a new one, they usually send an email letting the user know about it, so the ate less chances of commiting a mistake while sending money to the exchange.
Sure thing, it would be still recommendable to always check the address before sending any money to it, but a simple E-mail with such basic information could help those with are stuck inna situation in which they cannot easily re-check their own depositing address.

Anyways, thanks for sharing your experience with us.  ;)

The issue of borrowing money to gamble have been abundantly condemned as bad habit in this forum so I will be surprised if there are people still doing it. To think that you almost lost borrowed funds due to depositing to wrong address scares me to my bone marrow. So two major things are wrong in this story, one being borrowing money for gambling and the other is being unable to double check the deposit address as it ought to be per deposit. Because of several complaints of people depositing to the wrong address, I always ensure to copy my deposit address from the betting platform or exchange where I am making the deposit to anytime I want to deposit. Even though I have used that address in the past, I always like coping from the source each time I want to deposit to avoid making mistakes.

This is not just for gambling, but for evey transaction that we would do in crypto currency.
Honestly I would always double check the address even if I just copy paste it to verify if it is accurate before sending it out.
I've been doing this because I once sent out money to the wrong address I thought that I already copied my friends address, but it turns out to be my gambling accounts address.
Good thing that the address that I've accidentally sent out the money was my account I just need to pay for more fee.

Sometimes errors like that occur when we usually routinely carry out transactions with a fixed address. and sometimes we have labeled the name of the address to make the transaction process easier. but it turns out that some casino platforms and exchanges have policies regarding changing deposit addresses. This must be paid attention to so that there are no errors in the transaction. maybe if the platform is still generous in returning assets. if the platform doesn't want to know about the error it could end badly for us.

The casino has to because that's his deposit and they've made such changes without having some announcement for everyone's awareness.

Even I, if it happens to me. I'd continue to have talks with the support because that deposit is I've hard worked money.

So, we just do what OP has done and needs to check any updates because on his case, he never lacked of checking it.

Yeah that's just the problem most people normally face because just like you said is very unfortunate that most of those platform doesn't put there information easily visible and at the end most people will become a victim because it is believed that every platform that has a certain minimum deposit amount normally have the information boldly written on the deposit area so since most people are use to seeing it that way so in a case they did not see it that way they would just send any amount they feel is okay for them without knowing the actual minimum deposit, although like you already mentioned those things are mostly common on those new Casinos that got launched new because they miss out adding some features while trying to kick start the platform immediately. Although the truth is that even if is boldly written on the deposit area most people will always fall a victim because most people doesn't have the habits of reading which can also lead to making a mistake.

Yeah, I think OP is just incredibly unlucky. The chance for the exact scenario to happen again is quite low unless you pay with a low fee that might put your tx way below the average fee. Even if you double-check numerous times if the change happened when you sent your money nothing can be done. The only way to prevent this comes from the platform you used. They should provide a window before the old deposit address becomes obsolete. That should save the user and the CS some hours of support chat.

Transactions always hang due to the heavy traffic online and  most of these gamblers makes terrific mistakes in the system, which causes losses. The system is broad and we shouldn't be in fast lane to proceed to crucial phase without passing thoroughly the procedure, because slight mistakes will definitely lead to another thing. We can continue having errors but atleast it shouldn't be from our ends, instead we should stack up the important points necessary to be in good position in the system, errors are made daily in the system.

My eyebrow raised when you said they recovered your fund sent to the wrong address out of goodwill since I think it's still their responsibility to do so. I'm assuming that they initiated the change in address without prior notice and anyone could have fallen "victim" to that. I hope casinos wouldn't charge you anything for doing that.

Honestly, its not something that you would really be able to see in most gambling sites on which most of them are really having that fixed deposit addresses and this is something that new that
they would really be having that kind of changing address like on exchange sites. I dont know on whats their set up on this one if it tends that they would be making out some changes then it would
really be just that right that they will be making out some announcement in relation to that because not all would really be that a fan on seeing those changes specially in regarding on this one.
You would really be tending to make it fix and wouldnt be checking those addresses. Good for you if the site will really be making out such refund but well its the ethical way on doing
so because its their address and everything could really be traced up.

Yes, that is if such casino who will reverse an already sent fund below their minimum deposit do actually exist, because I doubt if any casino today will want to do that, because if in such a scenerio, casinos would have asked gambler to send an additional fund so as to enable the old fund reach it's minimum deposit, before it could be credited, it would have been a better idea, but I'm sure non will want to do such, but will rather tend to capitalize on the mistake of the gambler, while confiscating such fund. Hence, we should always strive at each moment never to be a victim of sending a lost BTC, but rather learn from the mistake of others, and always ensure to look at the minimum deposit of any exchange, casino or any crypto related online platforms before sending any coin, so as to be on the safer side.

That would be the responsibility of the casino who change the address without any prior announcement. If such a thing happen, the fault is on the casino side obviously and the casino should resolve it by crediting the deposit to the account. There can be one other case where players are allowed to change (renew) the deposit address anytime they wish. In this case if the one who is changing address is the player, of course the player is the one who is responsible for it but I still believe that reputable casino will still try to help.

Honestly, a online casino should not chnage their address because they are always permanent and if there is any reason for this sudden change they must notify their customers through email, changing the address without customers' consent is wrong.

Still it is for our own good if we can always check the address so that we won't be a victim of such an experience, just to avoid such thing it doesn't take much of our time to check the address before making any transactions.

I have used some online casinos and this have never happened before but this is something that's very common with crypto exchanges, and they do notify customers through email addresses for change of addresses, the last time I witnessed this was with Binance exchange, I did got their notification via email.

This happened to me but not with a gambling address. It happened with our local exchange application. I used to just deposit at the same address that I have been using for a long time and then suddenly I was surprised when I checked my deposit address was changed. I don't know if they e-mailed me with an update on that change because there are just too many e-mails and I don't want to read everything.
Still, I was lucky that I received the balance that I deposited and after that, I updated my own deposit address so I won't make a mistake anymore.
They said that my old address is still live, so even if I use it I will still receive the amount deposited. Still, I just want to be careful so that no problem will happen in the future.
You are lucky that they gave you back the deposit because other gambling sites won't even care about it. And yes, I agree we must at least check it monthly or maybe every two months.

This must have happened to the majority of people in the crypto space today, I was also a victim too, but the exchange team helped me to solve the problem, but its rare that such happen on a gambling website, because all the online casinos that I have used always have one permanent BTC and other crypto addresses, they have never changed their address before.

I guess many people who are into gambling hardly fall for this because its not common at all, if a casino decide to swap their customers account address they must issue warning to all their users to avoid loss of fund, because there will surely be some gamblers that will keep the old address for faster transaction from one address to another.

Anyway, I guess we need to be cautious from now on, I will stop the habit of not copying the address from the gambling platform every time I want to deposit some BTC into the account, thanks for sharing.

A similar story happened to me when I used one of the cryptocurrency exchangers. But everything happened differently: in general, I decided to withdraw part of my cryptocurrency, it was ethereum, like, I don't remember exactly, well, it doesn't matter. And so the money came to my card. I was very surprised, because there were exactly 1,000 more dollars than should have come. It turned out that the operator accidentally clicked on one and later began to ask for a refund. I returned it, because they knew my last name and banking details.

Quote from: moneystery
that's true, sometimes casinos like to change their wallet addresses and that's why players need to double check their wallet addresses and make sure whether the wallet can still be used or not. and not only that, players also need to check the network supported by the casino and don't make the mistake of depositing money on a different network. because there are several cases where players mistakenly deposit their money on different networks, and in the end the casino is not responsible for these user errors.
Many gamblers have learned their lesson from that aspect from casino to always check the address of their wallets to know if the address has be changed or not before proceed their deposit so that they will not experience what some gamblers has experienced from casino because, they didn't check the address very well before depositing their money at the moment.

Any mistakes you make by depositing the money to a wrong address, you will not hodl any casino responsible because, every casino owner use to give out their rules and regulations to gamblers to go through so that they will not make such a mistakes that will make others gamblers to think that they are scamming them.

But the problem I see here mate is what if the change happens almost minute or second apart from the sending of the funds? I mean the timing of the sending is almost same from the changing of wallet address then this will still occur like what you have experience here.

You are right, because the mistake happened with the casino. Because the casino does not notify you in advance about the change of address. However, we must and must also be careful by paying attention to the addresses of both parties when we want to make a deposit, so that unwanted errors do not occur, whether it is the casino's fault or our own.
However, it all depends on the casino we use, whether the casino has a good reputation, if yes. So, if there is an error from our side or the casino's side. They will definitely help and solve the problem well, and choosing the right casino is also very important because we will not know in the long run what will happen.

Yeah that's Right you need to take note of every payments transaction, sometimes you might be wanting to make deposits to your wallets and then it's been changed,so it's best you proofread to crosscheck every address is aligning with your own wallet address.

Yes we all know change is a constant thing and it's inevitable in every aspect of life but with that when such changes are occured there should be a proper notification from the casinos so we would be alert and know how best to carry on with such issue.
And I would say this is an eye opener to everyone to always check their deposit address and wallets so as not to fall victims.

I'm not sure how casinos manage their users' deposit addresses, but the logic should not be that different from how exchanges generate and manage their users' addresses. It is just a deposit database, to begin with, and addresses never expire regardless of what they tell you. It depends on the ToS how they handle 'expired' addresses if the users mistakenly send some crypto there. Is there a similar case to OP's, or the context is different (such as using an old address after the casino sent notice a month prior or so)? I believe any reputable casino will help you if you end up in OP's situation, if they don't I'd suggest moving to other platforms asap.

This is very important, yesterday afternoon I made a deposit at Stake.com and before I did that I wanted to check whether the Bitcoin address was still the same or not, in fact, to ensure safe transactions, I generated a new address so that it was absolutely certain that the casino had updated my Bitcoin address. I've experienced cases like this in other places, but at one of the centralized exchanges because the addresses I frequently use are labeled with a special name so that when I make a transaction it's direct without needing to check again. Unfortunately, the exchange address had been updated so I was worried enough to contact support several times.

I think they will not only "try to help" but they will give the user all the money he transferred on the "wrong" address. Because both addresses, the "wrong" one and the "right" one, belong to them, right? I can't imagine a situation when the money just disappear if it were sent on one of the old addresses.

First things first, don't take loans for gambling :P.

The incident you mentioned sounds a bit odd to me because even if they update your wallet address, you should receive your funds because the wallet you had earlier should still be associated with your account and if they received funds on that wallet, they should know it is you who made a deposit and they should credit it without you reaching out to them and explaining everything with proof and stuff.
I guess a reputable platform would do that, but still, it's good that you got your funds back and they didn't refuse to credit them to your account.

One more thing that I saw someone else saying as well is to stay alert from clipboard malware because such things can change your wallet address after you copy it, which means you might copy the right one but when you paste it somewhere, it might be changed.

I believe yes he wants to gamble using the borrowed funds because why he will use his casino's address anyway? But yeah, this is not good because we all know how gambling business are built. They always ensure that they can win more than their customer. That would feel like a double loss for us because we still need to pay our loans after, in case we got a bad luck in our play. Whether the wallet we use is custodial or not, double-checking the address is always a must. Not only that they can change the address without prior notice, we can also copy and pasted the wrong address due to some factors or reasons. Your last advice is also great because they may not allow casino addresses.

Thanks for the concluding part of this post, and the two points I can extract from what you narrated which are also your fault are that you sent a loan directly to a casino, this is not cool. Thankfully, this is a loan arrangement, if it were to be the financial companies that are strict with AML, it might be difficult for you to change that wallet address. Such would be what you will ever be using with them no matter what you explain, and this will make you dependent on the wallet irrespective of whether they are the one who first sent the money to you or you first deposited to them and expecting subsequent withdrawal. Casinos' crypto addresses should be used for the primary role of sending and receiving money from them, anything other than that may create an issue.

The second part is that you undermine the way centralised crypto companies behave. This happened to me with Binance last year but they made an arrangement for me to do the crediting myself. Though the money can't be lost, only that they will have to credit you manually. But if it takes too long and you deposited into an unverified address this way, I do not know what could happen. For this, it will be good for us to verify our beneficiary details before we risk sending the asset.

It's a very important remark indeed. I feel like every post in this thread should start from this simple sentence. It's like obvious, but so many gamblers don't understand it, even those on this very forum, that I think it should repeated again and again.

To avoid thing like that always memorise the last three letters of the address you copy  and compare them to the address you paste.

It's good though that the casino was able to recover your funds. But in worst cases, the casino might say that they address is already new and there's no way that they can recovered from that old address.

Ensure that the address is correct every time you want to make a deposit, steps that must be observed at all times. I really agree that the habit of checking addresses to make sure they are correct should become a permanent habit even though it seems very trivial to do.
The address obtained from the casino is not intended to be used as an address for receiving funds from other parties. There must be a separation between the address for making deposits to the casino and the address for other receipts.

Absolutely agree with you. Using a custodial wallet in this regard is very similar to OP's carelessness or ignorance of the simple rules of storing cryptocurrencies.

It is very common to have some problems when receiving funds, so it is very important that you have full access to the wallet. In case of receiving funds on a custodial wallet, you have neither a private key nor a seed-phrase, and therefore the wallet does not belong to you.

OP was lucky that his mistake didn't play a trick on him.

I haven't deposited on any crypto casino's because I don't have one either, although I am planning to start using one with altcoins. It also happened to me some months back but it wasn't a crypto gamble site, I wanted to deposit fiat to my betting account but made a mistake and deposited it into my my cousins betting account. But it was my fault because I didn't check the account ID before doing the transaction and my bank if you deposit money to an ID that iD will be there until you remove it and put another one. But I didn't check them I deposit the money. Fortunately I told him to give me the login details of his betting account then I have to bet with he's account.

When doing a transaction, it is really a must to double check everything. Whether it is a bank transaction or a crypto transaction, whatever it is, double check it. Especially in crypto, where it is a p2p transaction, it is direct, so if one of the parties is wrong about their address, then it is gone; your funds are out of nowhere, and you can never get them back. Good thing for the OP; he used a casino address, so he can reach out to the casino itself to fix and retrieve the funds he just loaned. Casino can be at fault here too since they updated the wallet. Maybe next time, you should try to use your own personal wallet so you won't encounter this kind of problem. Yes, it is a hassle since you will transfer the funds from your wallet to the casino address, but still, at least your funds are safe and you know that they will be sent safely.

To answer this comment fairly.

I’ve done multiple times receiving a payment on this same address in the past. I also check the wallet address as correct before I use it to apply as loan. I’m not sure if this can be considered as carelessness or ignorance if the change of the address done after few hours when I check it while I use this same address for so many years without any issue like changing address.

In fact, This is the first time this casino change a wallet address for receiving funds and it’s done without any notifications like what exchange do when they will change a wallet address. So I’m confident that I’m not fully liable on this event.

Besides, the fee on Bitcoin network that time is too high so it’s convenient to use directly the address which I will be using the funds. It’s useless to receive the funds on non custodial wallet first then send it to that same wallet address because that time I have no idea that they will start changing wallet address. So a lesson learned on my side.

The thing is that even if you are using a wallet you have control of, you are not immune to the virus that replaces the address you just copied with another one, and the coins go in the wrong direction. That's why you must double check whether the address you copied coincides with the address you pasted to avoid problems like that.

Not all signature participants are really gamblers or does have that casino account not unless if their weekly pay would be credited into their accounts but mostly it would be directly be sent out on their own address.
Also most of gambling discussion topics can really be answered with common sense.  ;D Sorry for the off topic but this is actually which is really that happening.

When it comes to deposit address then im not really that much aware about changing address like on exchange platforms on which there's those kind of changes in address.
If this one is applied into casinos then its not really that breaking an arm and leg for you to be able to check out the address once in a while.
It wouldnt really be that much time consuming i should say so that you would be able to avoid these kind of problems.

I also agree with your statement.

Just to share a personal story of mine which happened a few years ago involving wallet addresses:

In our country, we have this local wallet that is mostly used by our citizens due to its convenience. It is an exchange where you can directly pay your bills, utilities expenses, and even convert BTC directly to our local currency. Since almost all of us use this wallet, unfortunately, my wallet address was been flagged in this forum. I primarily use that local wallet address to receive my BTCs from campaign signatures but I was wrongfully accused that my wallet belonged to another account; so in short, I was somehow questioned for multiple account farming.

Though it may be different to what you posted OP, it still is relevant by keeping your wallet address safe and secure. I had a friend who wrongfully copied his address as he mistakenly added a "0" at the end which resulted to a loss of 0.2 BTCs in total.

Is this coins.ph? Because I have same experience before when I use to receive a Bitcoin for payment from other user that involved in gambling. They are so strict on transactions lately that’s I’m forced to use mixers that time just to remove any track of gambling activity from my signature campaign earnings.

I submit many documents such as proof of address and statement of account just to prove that I’m capable to produce the amount entering on my wallet even though the transaction that triggers it is just a P2P transaction.  :D

What I do is to always check the first five figures and the last five figures. Then I cross check with the on the gambling website.
I know the consequences of failure to do so. It's is like double losses. Double losses because you don't know if you will win after you stake your bet.

Just one "0" and everything goes wrong? What a coincidence!

For me, I always check the 4 numbers before and the 4 numbers at the end, unlike @Alphakilo who checks until 5 alpha numbers. It is safer with what he does but I am too lazy to get that far.
What I try to avoid with mistakes is when I copy the authenticator code which sometimes can be pasted to the wallet address. I mean, added to the wallet address which could get us more trouble explaining to the customer support how the mistake happened.
There was a time when I made that error but somehow I was too focused on what I was doing that I realized a mistake happened.
But OP was right, at least double check everything before pressing the send button.

I have experienced a case like this where I forgot to change my deposit address with a new one, maybe one month I didn't do gambling then I wanted to gamble again because I missed enough to bet and play, and yes I immediately deposited from my binance account, because previously I had saved the address first and I forgot to change my deposit address at the casino and in my binance account had not been changed, and at that time the amount was quite a decent $80, which in the end for more than 24 hours did not receive my balance in my gambling account, I thought this was a normal problem with the network, but after 2x24 hours it didn't come either in the end I checked back the address I used to deposit was different. At that moment I felt upset because I forgot not to double check my deposit address, fortunately the amount was not large, maybe if the amount was large I would really be hit.

Be sure to thoroughly verify wallet addresses when you deposit funds, even if you feel you know them well. Casino addresses may change and it is possible that loans or campaign funds may be sent from an address without notice. Retrieving a deposit by mistake can be really difficult, so take a few extra seconds to double-check; it is important. When you deposit money, make sure to verify the first and last five digits, this will be a wise way to prevent typos from becoming costly mistakes. The haste in depositing money was the cause of the chaos.

Crypto transactions are mostly peer to peer so when things go wrong during a transaction, there are no banks or third party to come in and resolve the problem, so it's important to be super and extra careful when initiating a transaction. The responsibility of every transaction is completely on the user or the initiator of the transaction, which is even more reason to be vigilant about things like double checking of wallet addresses and transaction details.
Indeed, it could be a little bit time consuming sometimes to be going through such process, but trust me, the extra security is definitely worth it .

Thank you for your support by reminding the community by publishing what happened to you.

In my opinion, the problem is in the casino system, which allowed itself to change deposit addresses without prior notice to users. This cannot be permissible in any way because the platform knows that users can use these addresses for different types of deposits. In the most extreme cases, the casino had to at least keep the old deposit addresses active for a certain period even after they were changed, while emphasizing the need to inform users in all cases. Since updating is important, notification must be done through personal emails and even publishing explanatory notifications. I believe this is at the core of casino integrity.

The same problem occurs with trading platforms that do not allow changing deposit addresses, but do not hesitate to change them on their own unilaterally. However, trading platforms do not completely delete old addresses and they remain valid for the user

Sometimes many people are not aware and don't have time to read their email every day or maybe it's not important and often ignore it, sometimes I've also experienced a change in deposit address on one of the casino sites, but I never saved it, let alone I use my deposit address as the main address to receive money from anywhere, so every time I want to make a transaction I always check the wallet address again to see if it is correct or not, there are casinos that have notified us via email of changes to the wallet address, I was thinking what if people save it and it is used as their main address for receiving money so people continue to send it to the old deposit address. that's clearly a new problem.

I think actually there is a mistake on our part as users to ignore email notifications, even trading sites also send emails if there is a notification of a change in deposit address, we can't blame them completely either because we are the ones who never read the email and maybe subconsciously ignore it, but This is where a lot of problems arise between users and casinos, so now every casino will usually provide a notification when the user logs in to their account that the deposit address has changed, this can help users know that something has changed with their deposit address. But again, don't use trading and casino deposit addresses as wallet addresses to still receive money

Yeah, you should always check your deposit address and make sure you are sending to an address that you own. But,
1. Why would you take a loan and send it to an address that doesn't belong to you? You should send it to an address in a wallet which you control and then send it to the casino to avoid such problems. Even if you send it to an old address, you will still have access to the funds since you have access to the keys. Moreover, before moving any huge amount  of funds, you should always send a smaller amount as as "test" to ensure that you are receiving it without any issue.

2. The casinos shouldn't have any problems recovering the funds. I don't know why they made you prove that the "old address was yours". All addresses assigned to you are associated with your account.

Title: Re: Always check the deposit address
Post by: retreat on April 06, 2024, 04:39:26 PM

The thing is that even if you are using a wallet you have control of, you are not immune to the virus that replaces the address you just copied with another one, and the coins go in the wrong direction. That's why you must double check whether the address you copied coincides with the address you pasted to avoid problems like that.

This is excellent advice. Because most crypto gamblers think that the device they use is very safe, so they are very confident when making transactions. Even though they don't know that the deposit address they copy from the casino platform could change when they paste it - therefore always make sure that the address is correct and pay attention to the beginning and end of the deposit address to see if it matches the intended address.

Fortunately I told him to give me the login details of his betting account then I have to bet with he's account.
this must be the reason why other gambler double check the address before they deposit cause they will know the possible outcome once they are spontaneously deposit without checking and sometimes it will end up into losses. Not because we loss our bet but we loss our money because we are too careless.  And the worst thing is even though it's a big amount we can't get it back once the address is mistake . So in reality to avoid such things we need to double check first the address.

But again, don't use trading and casino deposit addresses as wallet addresses to still receive money

The problem, in my opinion, is primarily the responsibility of users because they:

- First, they should not use the deposit addresses in the casinos for any other purposes, and therefore every deposit (or withdrawal as well) must be made to and from a special address. A common mistake is for someone to deposit to the casino from a direct trading platform, that is, to withdraw from the stock exchange directly to the casino, and in the event of an emergency and the casino is forced to refund, it will be sent to the address from which the deposit was made, i.e. an address affiliated with the stock exchange, and therefore the money will be lost.

- Secondly, they should never ignore email notifications they receive from casinos and verify their content before deciding to ignore them. This never means criticizing a casino that does not notify its users of any updates to the system or terms of use.

This is an opportunity to reaffirm that the best solution to avoid any unexpected disruptions is to use reliable platforms that are sure of the huge amount of liquidity they have. With transparent and reliable platforms, there will always be an opportunity to correct any problem.

Many gamblers have learned their lesson from that aspect from casino to always check the address of their wallets to know if the address has be changed or not before proceed their deposit so that they will not experience what some gamblers has experienced from casino because, they didn't check the address very well before depositing their money at the moment.
Another common mistake most gamblers also make is the mistake of not checking which address belongs to which network. That's for casinos that allow deposits from different networks.

Since Ethereum, Binance, Polygon,  and many other smart chains share the same address, some people make the mistake of copying one address and using it for another, which can get their deposit lost forever.

Since the addresses are the same, they always make the mistake of not checking if they're true to what they need to use or not.

Well it's odd hearing that you don't have a casino account because your activeness here on the gambling board tells that you are probably a crypto casino gambling, well I guess not everyone loves to play with their coins online 😁😁 . I guess you do more of local fiat gambling account but with even that I do make mistakes by deposit directly into someone else account with the mistake of only a digit  missed.

You were not careless Mate and anyone who thinks you were is unfair to to you. This was the address you have been using for a long time and the casino didn't notify you of the change of address. The blame should go solely to the casino and your experience should serve as a lesson to everyone to always crosscheck out addresses before transferring funds to it. Alternatively, we should always copy the address directly from the casino instead of relying on the one we have in our wallets or we saved somewhere else.

I agree with this. The casino should be notifying first their participants of all the changes that are happening in their website or games. Whether it is user's data, technical, rules, or adjustment to the games. Otherwise this king of thing will happen again to other people, and sadly they blame themselves instead of confronting the casino or technical support for the loss. It is sad because if this kind of thing doesn't take account and seriously, this may be a new norm for them to take advantage players. And hopefully this is not the case for most people.

Also in user part, it is best too to always check the address twice before transaction. It may cost you some of your time but will save you money and stresses. It is also a good practice to be careful always in this digital transactions right? ;D

The truth is difficult when making transactions to a casino, being the address that can cause problems, I advise whenever you can make a transaction but to your own accounts, either in an exchange or in a private wallet( is the best) it is preferable to pay the fee but be safe with our money, this is so, in the case of the casino since they changed the address it is necessary to verify address before making a deposit, just as a precaution and to never trust that, although the case is not so difficult there are many things that can be done so that the old address can remain the same, what I think is that more can be done in this case by the casino, the casino should not put so many obstacles, they should have done the transaction immediately, but in itself the important thing is to verify any address before depositing.

Always double check and this is something that wont really be taking up too much of your time because it would really be that a pain in the ass situation or something that do really sucks when you do able to make those kind of support ticket in regarding such issues on which you dont even know whether it would really be that retrievable or not. Usually changed address does really happen on an exchange platform and not for gambling sites. This is actually my first time that i have seen or known that gambling site
do make out some changed address as well. Its always better to have some double checks once in a while so that you would really be able to avoid such potential problem.
This is why it would really be better that you should really know on what you would really be gonna doing.

The only difference that of exchanges and casino is that, for exchanges you won`t be stressed to get your fund when you mistakenly use an old address all you have to do is to use "one-click" (judging from Binance experience).

It's the same for me, I have heard it but its the first time I have seen any bitcointalker make a thread about it - but still it wouldn't be that mush of an issue to me, because for each deposit that i make to my gambling account I make sure I copy that address directly from my account depoit page and also tripple check incase of any malware attack.

It is very true, in the exchanges they always do that, even though the Decisions Remain in operation because they remain in the history of transactions , and that can be Recovered , so in view of this, things can happen in favor of the person or player , Therefore, it is strange that in the casino they do not have that option, they should have it because it is a Way they have to recover the money , so in every blackchain Platform they should have that type of backup, after seeing this thread every time I make a transaction I don't check it 1 or 2 but 3 times to verify Completely, sometimes one can get confused by the network too, that is something that has to be seen, it is an essential Security measure.

It doesn't make sense to send signatures campaign directly to casino. I know we do it for the culture to reduce the transaction fees we spent on sending the asset from our personal wallet to casino but it's more safer when we do it on our own. What will you do when campaign funds were sent and the casino change the deposit address, you will either loss the funds or they may help you retrieve it but it will come with a cost for sure, technical teams don't help deposit of old address with them getting a cut from it.

In as much as some casino may even inform you that they have made changes in the deposit address like sending you email notifications, you might even forgot to check on your emails, I'm guilty of this because sometimes I can do days before I check my emails. Sometimes the only time I check my email are when I get notified from the forum about a particular thread of my favorite board. This behaviors can lead you to many things you don't expect.

There's few things that are more gut wrenching then sending coins to an incorrect address. I've done it at least twice now, that I can think of, and it is brutal.  It's really easy to just think that you've correctly copied an address and to just quickly past or type it in, but it's worth every second of double checking and making sure you don't cost yourself.
