Title: Blockchain.com BTC wallet available funds issue
Post by: zakservers on April 08, 2024, 07:31:50 AM
Hi,
I have been using blockchain.com wallet to receive crypto payments without any issue since years, though in this month, the BTC deposits (funds received) in our blockchain.com wallet were all showing as normal till 6th, but today once I try to send some funds out from my BTC wallet (its still showing balance fine, and $0 in hold funds, means all funds are showing fine as balance in BTC wallet), the available balance showing was only like $30 worth of BTC, again i try to open the wallet via web (instead of andriod), but same thing, funds are showing fine as balance in the BTC wallet, but once i try to send them out in available balance they show almost none.

Any help? I have already contacted blockchain.com via their support ticket system.

Thanks.

Import your seed phrase on Electrum and you should be able to spend your coins.

Know that the wallet is close source. It would be good if you later created new seed phrase on Electrum and stop using Blockchain.com wallet.

Official Electrum download site: https://electrum.org/

The derivation path for bc1 addresses is Segwit P2WPKH.

Someone just get this same issue fixed recently  and it's related to blockchain  all he had to do was import is BIP39 mnemonic phrase into his Electrum wallet just as Charles-Tim  replied

It's really hard, at least for me, to understand this sentence and your issue.

Assume your balance in that Blockchain.com wallet is $30, and you want to send it, your issue is you can not send it with Blockchain.com wallet, assume I understand your issue correctly.

You can import your Blockchain's wallet seed to Electrum wallet and broadcast transaction by yourself. No need to ask support from Blockchain.com.

  • [Guide] Use CPFP if your stucked transactions from blockchain.com wallet (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5324302.0)
  • Choose different types of wallet will give OP different wallets and different sets of receiving addresses. Try with each of 3 wallet types and see what is your wallet that has $30 in bitcoin inside.

When you already get your wallet, read another topic to broadcast your transaction.
  • Minimize your transaction fee with Electrum wallet (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5452925.0)

This solved a different problem which was that the balance is there but the transaction fees are high and because blockchain.com buggy you cant send from that wallet.

I haven't used blockchain.com for a while but according to this article https://support.blockchain.com/hc/en-us/articles/9042429259420-Can-I-get-the-private-key-for-my-Blockchain-com -Account It seems that there are two types of accounts. Make sure that your balance is in Blockchain.com DeFi Wallet, and then extract the private key.

Hi,
Thanks all and sorry for the late reply, and really thanks a lot for all helping out, our issue got resolved after migrating the wallet to Electrum, thanks a lot to all again.

It is really nice as a community to help each other and resolve our issues with BTC and other crypto related technical issues.

Good thing you were able to follow the instructions and get your issue solved, one last thing, i hope you are no longer using the seed phrase generated in your blockchain.com wallet, even if you have imported it into Electrum, it is still not recommended. Create a new wallet, and send all your funds into the wallet created in Electrum, that is a much safer option, because Electrum is open source and well reviewed.
