That 1000BTC is ridiculous!

  That is one lovely looking 1000 BTC gold Cas coin.....have not see one in years! Any idea what the last one went for?

I've been shopping around for 1oz gold for a little while. I've located several. I might need to make a deal for 2 of them to make it work for me. I'm not scared of 3 or 4 way deals as long as everyone wins.

Any interest in trade values in silver, gold or physical bitcoin?

From what I can find, last one that sold here on the forum went for 2BTC, which was approximately $21000 at the time of sale

if someone is dumping all these treasures it makes us know btc is about to go on a run for the moon. lol

Watching this one to see what people are valuing these at.  It is tempting to keep mine so that I have a complete precious metals Casascius collection with in-tact holograms, but everyone has their price.  I've turned down 2 BTC offers in the past, but it would be hard to do so again with the current exchange rate.

Crazy to see a Casascius void coin being offered for sale as well.  Those are 2 great pieces but unfortunately don't hold any BTC so I can certainly understand why someone would part with such iconic pieces.  It's hard to keep pace with Bitcoin no matter how awesome something is.

Some great pieces here and very tempted to offer but I don’t want to lowball or overpay so I did some research on the forum.

For the 1000 bitcoin: I saw two sales from $14,500 to $21,000

For the 25 bitcoin: I found the most recent sale of 0.1802 btc in May of 2023 which at the time worked out to be about $4700

For the void: one ms66 sold in 2016 for around 7 btc which was roughly $3,000 and one is 2017 for 3 btc which was roughly $7,900

Not having any real recent sales to go on for the void and 1k cas and the wide difference in price, I’d be more interested on an auction. Could also set a more recent precedent for value or atleast show a trend.

Just my thoughts.

Wow. I hope the seller is ok sharing final sales amounts to the forum.

I say we auction the 1000 btc gold starting at 0, no reserve or any of that nonsense.

Edit to add: In thinking, perhaps just auction them all. 

It’s hard to say that those coins will ever sell for those prices again because people who buy them often in some sense have "stronger hands".
Collectors had to pry them out of the hands of the previous collectors.

I think those numbers thrown about was public information. Can’t be that much harm done.
Someone who really knows what they are looking at won’t put to much weight in those past sales because one must simply pay the price to own something like that.

Some collectors who own those coins might be tempted to sell one for 30k or might not sell one even for 1 million Bucks.

It may be a possibility, all though I would at least start it at spot pricing for 1oz of gold... :P

Be careful ; There are certain unsavory characters here who would say that the 2.0 btc is a binding bid on your part and then take a screenshot as proof.  (Unless they want it more in which case you didn’t specify lot number. 😁)
