Title: Ambulance - Campaign - Ukraine
Post by: derBowler on April 17, 2024, 07:13:54 AM
Ambulance - Campaign

Hello everyone.

I'm contacting you again because we've been approached again to see if we could organise a few more ambulances.

The last campaign with the emergency vehicles was so great that some Doctors in the Ukraine have joined forces and are now travelling across the Country to visit and provide medical care to people in the Ukraine who need medical help but are no longer able to drive to a Hospital due to destroyed infrastructure or are no longer able to do so themselves.
As the ambulances are of a very high standard, almost like a mobile operating theatre, even very difficult cases can be treated, which also benefits the soldiers and the Military, who have also asked for a Vehicle.

We, who have been organising aid transports and materials of all kinds for the local people for almost two years now, are of course doing everything we can to make this happen again.
As we have been in very close contact with the Military and also with some aid Organisations on the ground from the very beginning and we now know each other personally, we know that everything we put together here will arrive there and go into the right hands.

So everything, and we really mean everything, goes one-to-one into the Projects and help for the People in Ukraine.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5387906.msg59398990#msg59398990

However, as this is beyond our financial means, we are now more dependent on external support, as this is something very different and not easy.

Maybe you can imagine to support us in this local Project, it does not have to be a lot, everyone a little bit as you can but together we are strong.

Feel free to advertise it and there will certainly be a report like with the other projects.
Unfortunately, such help is still seen as very critical, which also leads to hostility etc. so be careful when you ask, we have already experienced a lot here.

But I still believe that we should not stand idly by, especially as it is ultimately about Europe, our homeland, and the People in Ukraine who are like you and me, already have very little and now everything has been destroyed, so we should help those who are not so well off.

I would like to say thank you and hope for a lot of support so that we can give some people some peace and above all hope.

With this in mind, everyone stay healthy and if you have any questions, just write to me, please

Greetings Tim

PS: I very much hope that we can live together peacefully again at some point, but this does not look like it at the moment, see the new problem Israel and Iran all the more we have to stick together. Those who are doing well should perhaps help the poorer ones to restore a balance and give the poorer ones a little hope again. Thank you

Have you asked Theymos?  Many people here entrusted him with donations to charities, and this is a good one.

As someone who has donated to derBowler multiple times and also dedicated one of my won giveaway prizes to derBowler's campaign (13 mBTC, which is quite a lot) (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5478644.msg63488717#msg63488717), I believe all funds are in good hands when donating to derBowler. In the German section of our forum, he has shared many pictures of his aid delieveres multiple times and I've barely seen a community aid campaign on the internet where such a frequent updating has been delievered.

Such a post can be seen here, where derBowler documented his delieveries, for example: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5405839.msg61458334#msg61458334

derBowler's support to help Ukrainians in dire need is truly appreciated. I'm sure his efforts are really providing basic help to these people and that's what's really important for them right now.
KUDOS to derBowler and all of your fellow people helping to get aid into Ukraine to provide support to civilians.

Once again I can only recommend a donation to derBowler, as I have donated several times to him already.

And to make my post not only empty talk; I've just sent another small transaction of valuable BTC to derBowler to guarantee that his next delievery will be successful: https://blockchair.com/bitcoin/transaction/d1cf61eff4e923df637e9a9f0b0b12244f3be4d034d5121891e1098e229b65f0
If some Bitcointalk members can chip in a few dollars, we would be very happy.  :)

Due to the current situation of the Bitcoin network, sending a few dollars right now is very costly. For example, that donation you sent a few days ago and paid about $2 in fees, would now cost you about $50 for a reasonably quick confirmation. I don't think many people will do that.

derBowler also accepts Ethereum, which is a better option now. He should consider stablecoins as well. If not USDT and USDC, at least the decentralized DAI.

You are right, it's not very cheap right now to send transactions of a few dollars only.
I really didn't ckeck my total fee when sending my transaction to derBowler, just a quick look at the mempool and setting 25 sat/vbyte to have a reasonable fee.

Looks like transactions have spiked a lot recently and Jochen Hoenicke even added new colours to his graph.  :D

Hello

I agree with you that the costs are very high at the moment, but you could also send it with less service.

We are an aid organisation (DRK) and most of us work here on a voluntary basis and as this is not always easy for us, we try to make it as simple as possible.

For this reason, we have only opted for Bitcoin and Ethereum as they are the best known. We could certainly have used other coins, but managing them and then exchanging them etc. takes a lot of time, so we prefer to use this time for other things.

Greetings Tim

Although I am a small user, I have donated as much as I can to help Ukraine. It is really a pleasure for me that I can make this small donation for the welfare of people. Anyway, if God takes me to a better stage in the future and if I have enough money, I will definitely try to donate more to any good cause. The donation I sent is currently successful and the transaction fee of Bitcoin has come down, however, I would definitely urge you all to make this project a success.

I'm very happy to see your donation and your didication to help him and his campaign and I'm sure derBowler will be grateful as well.  :)

It probably don't matter how small your donation is, the point is that you've given something and your intention was to help, as the saying goes, it's the thought that counts. I'm glad that I've visited this board, I will definitely donate some, I know that it will count. I'm not on my computer today so might delay the donation. The hope is to save as much lives and if that helps then it's a good thing for me.

It may seem like nonsense to some, but Europe is really defending itself in Ukraine, but Europe itself and the rest of the world, in my opinion, have done too little to help the people of Ukraine. As someone who survived a war in which people of a similar character destroyed, killed, raped and burned everything in front of them, I can understand the situation of the people in that country. There are only two choices, to fight or to be defeated, which usually means death or at best capture.

I am always happy to donate to noble causes, and considering that this is about medical vehicles, I will be extremely happy to be a part of this project. I will send a donation in the coming days🇺🇦

Europe is waking up and realizing Putin will not stop in Ukraine.   The French (and others) can either fight in Ukraine or fight in their home cities.  Ukraine is already a wasteland - we should do our fighting there.

Thank you for your information and I will write to Theymos and maybe he will be enthusiastic about it, because it is very important for these people there in the Ukraine.

Has Theymos replied?  If he's not going to use the $billions to develop bitcoin, he should remember some donators are Ukrainian.  There is NO reason why he cannot donate 1,000 bitcoin TODAY and get a tax receipt for it.    (If he is concerned about taxes that is).

I hope that you can get more donations, I'll just pray for your safety because I don't have any money or bitcoin that I can donate yet, I'm not a rich person and I've recently dealt with something that devastated me financially and emotionally but I hope to get back to this and hopefully give a little. I can totally agree with you that standing by idly isn't the right thing to do, that's the biggest sin that would lead you to the deepest pits of hell of after all but I'm limited too, it makes me a bit disappointed in myself that I'm sitting pretty here in my house doing naught while people are being devastated by this war.

You misquoted, I didn't ask the question, so I can't answer that question. However, according to what is publicly known, the admin will very likely never take sides with any public donation, because that would surely anger the most numerous and active members of the forum.

If Theymos was not going to donate the funds and he was not going to use them to improve bitcoin, why did he ask for donations and sell so much advertising?   Answer: Embezzlement

Hello Vod

I do not know the admin / user Theymos, I also think that this topic does not belong here.

We as an aid organization want to help the Ukrainians and are looking for voluntary supporters for this project.

Please clarify this on another level, not in this public space, thank you

It is natural that people will come forward in the danger of people, maybe the amount of money that I have donated is not enough but my efforts were not lacking. I tried my best and I was able to donate. First I didn't have btc I bought btc through P2P and then I sent that btc to the specified address to make this campaign successful. I think we should always come forward in such humanitarian work. As I have tried my best and with maximum effort I have donated 0.00015 bitcoins (5$ transaction free extra) so if all other members donate according to their ability but the total donation amount will be enough.

I am happy to be a small donor and stand by the Ukrainian people with a small amount of money. I wish God to give speedy recovery to the war affected people and make this ambulance project a success. However if everyone supports this project then it can be successful, I have sent some amount of bitcoins to donation address last few days and it is currently successful. Although I sent a small amount of BTC BTC0.0001734 I felt blessed to make this donation because I was able to stand by sick people. However I would urge everyone to stand by people and help and cooperate, thank you.

Love this initiative, war really has no bounds and I don't think that Putin should stay in power, someone needs to get this man out of the picture, people in Russia should be against this because they're going to be affected by this too right? I don't think that they'd ever want to be participating in this war too nor do they want to see their loved ones participate and then go back home amputated or in the coffin. I would donate in ETH if that's okay, I don't want to move my bitcoin as much as I like too. I hope that with this initiative, others will get the inspiration to do one for the Palestinians displaced from their homeland, they need the attention too. I hope that last part doesn't offend anyone here in the thread.

I hope that this will go a long away even if it's peanuts.

Many thanks @everyone who donated even small amounts for @derBowlers Ambulance Campaign, it's really much appreciated.
Seeing so many people donate here now is really nice and I'm also sure @derBowler will be grateful for your donations to make his aid campaign happen.

Even if it's a small amount for us to donate, when many people give a small amount, we can get quite a lot of funds.  :)

Very true words, together we can build a strong fundraising effort, what a single person can not achieve but many can achieve it.  :)

I myself am ready to donate a small amount
That would be really nice and I believe @derBowler will be more than happy to see another donation, so make sure to post your tx id here or share a pricture, when you are ready and for sure, @derBowler will be happy to see your donation. I'm not managing his campaign here, I'm just a normal contributor like everyone else who wants to contribute.

War never brings anything good to human life, we always hope for a peaceful world where there is no war where there is no loss of life or where there is no chaos anarchy. As a result of war, people lose their loved ones, lose their homes and lose their normal way of life. When I hear such news, the soul trembles from within and tears come to my eyes without knowing it. I am a minor member but I would say compromise should be done instead of fighting. Nothing could have been better if a powerful country had settled things peacefully without attacking another weak country.

There is a saying, "A stick of ten is a load of one".

In the same way we might be helping an ambulance campaign with a small amount of bitcoin, whenever more people contribute to this campaign with a small amount of bitcoin, there will be a large amount of funds at once. I'm happy to involve myself in @derBowlers' ambulance campaign. Maybe the funds I send are small, but I'm passionate enough to stand up for the people of Ukraine. I mentioned helping in a previous post. Today I have succeeded in my attempt but my funds are received in small form due to high network fees. My total bitcoin withdrawal is $0.00021BTC bitcoins and the fee deducted is $0.0001BTC

I have tried my best to stand by the helpless people of Ukraine, although the amount I have given is very small, still I am relieved to be able to do a little bit for the helpless people who are affected by the war in Ukraine. May God help and make this ambulance campaign a success. I tried my best so far, I managed to donate (0.0002886 BTC) with (0.00010000 transaction free) bitcoins. It has been a long time since the war between Ukraine and Russia began, and the war-torn people of Ukraine are living a helpless life in this long-running war. All of us should forget the differences of religion and caste and support and cooperate with such a beautiful initiative.

Anyway, if God takes me to a better stage in the future and if I have enough money, I will definitely try to donate more to any good cause. The donation I sent is currently successful and the transaction fee of Bitcoin has come down, however, I would definitely urge you all to make this project a success.

Congratulations

It probably don't matter how small your donation is, the point is that you've given something and your intention was to help, as the saying goes, it's the thought that counts. I'm glad that I've visited this board, I will definitely donate some, I know that it will count. I'm not on my computer today so might delay the donation. The hope is to save as much lives and if that helps then it's a good thing for me.

Congratulations

It is natural that people will come forward in the danger of people, maybe the amount of money that I have donated is not enough but my efforts were not lacking. I tried my best and I was able to donate. First I didn't have btc I bought btc through P2P and then I sent that btc to the specified address to make this campaign successful. I think we should always come forward in such humanitarian work. As I have tried my best and with maximum effort I have donated 0.00015 bitcoins (5$ transaction free extra) so if all other members donate according to their ability but the total donation amount will be enough.

I'm happy to involve myself in @derBowlers' ambulance campaign. Maybe the funds I send are small, but I'm passionate enough to stand up for the people of Ukraine.

@2Pizza410000BTC Thank you very much for moving this post to your local board and from there I see many users have sent donations to make this ambulance campaign a success. Although each person has donated according to their ability, I think this small donation must gradually turn into a bigger donation. Also, this post of yours has helped many users to stand up to people, surely you have put a lot of effort to make this campaign a success. I also think that if this project is translated and transferred to each local board, many people will help and cooperate for Ukrainian people, and they will be interested to donate. @2Pizza410000BTC I see many people have sent donations now and most of the users here are from your local board, so I think you have a lot of talent here.

I am very happy to participate in humanitarian work. Maybe it was hard for me to manage half but all my hard work turned into happiness when I donated this money to this great campaign. Maybe I have donated a small amount here but this is the maximum for me. If I had more money I would have donated more money here. I have donated some amount of money from the money saved by not buying my hobby bicycle and if this donation of mine is useful for the benefit of mankind, then you agree to donate thousands of such hobbies.

If the transaction fee was a dollar or two, the donation amount would have been more, but even after waiting, I could not transfer the bitcoins with relatively low transaction fees. If there is a need to help in such humanitarian work again in the future, I will definitely try my best to help.

Definitely, we are so many already who donated a small amount, it's quite a lot for our campaign already.
Lots of small donations from many people are very helpful to make @derBowler's campaign a success.

Many thanks once again for our new donators. When @derBowler will come online again and will see all your donations, he will be very happy for sure.  :)

There used to be many more topics where you could donate to good causes, but it seems to me that members lost confidence in such projects after one member (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5376475.0) misused part of the collected funds. However, this is not a reason to stop doing good deeds, because if you do something good to others, it will come back to you at some point in your life.

As I promised, a small donation from me as well ;)

Definitely, it's always important that collected funds are really going to be used for aid and there's always a possible abuse. I like the way derBowler announces new updates, so I can be confident that funds are well spent.
Hopefully, we will see more honest donation projects, where Bitcoin can really help to make a positive impact.  :)

Yes, if many people donate small amounts, small funds will become much larger. Anyway a few days ago I wanted to donate. Today I sent 0.00014 bitcoins according to my ability. Although my amount is very small, I hope my small donation will benefit the sick people of Ukraine. I pray to my Creator that He heals them. However, hopefully many more will come forward to donate.

I want to involve myself in such generous and virtuous work. I am not earning from this the forum yet but I am working outside of this forum so I would like to donate something from there. Will anyone accept that?

Maybe after I donate myself I will be able to encourage my office colleagues to donate and I will then donate them here as bitcoins.

Nice to hear and as I'm not not part of @derBowlers aid team, I can't tell your from his side but I'm sure he will be happy to get more small donations and he will show you all his gratitude until he comes back online again.
Just post your transaction ID here and he'll see how much you've donated. It's really nice to see so many people supporting @derBowlers aid campaign.  :)

Maybe I wouldn't have understood if I hadn't seen your donation that people care for people like this. You have only thought it right to stand by people in danger rather than your own will or your own emotions to stand by them. I certainly respect your decision. People who don't care like you might never have donated to all these humanitarian works without fulfilling their own wishes but you have considered it more important to donate to this campaign before fulfilling your wishes. It is definitely a right decision because money will come to you more in future and you will be able to fulfill your desires in future so it is definitely better decision to stand with people than temporary happiness.

However, I have seen the post on my local board for the past few days and have been inspired to help Ukrainians and I have donated to your address. I think if more people donate to this project, surely it will be possible to buy an ambulance and stand by the sick people.

Hello everyone,

you guys are awesome, my total respect to everyone here!

Nobody has to justify or apologize here, everyone donates as much as they can and nobody has to have a guilty conscience and think that their donation is too small, every cent counts and in the end the amount makes the result.
I also think it's great that one or the other is translating this campaign on other forums and thus continuing to advertise this project, so perhaps more support will come together to make this local project a success.

We as an aid organization (DRK) are absolutely in the public eye and our vocation is to help suffering, needy, poor, sick and all socially weak people and so this time we are helping the people of Ukraine.
Misuse of the support is completely impossible for us as everything is supervised by our legal department and we can prove at any time what we have done with which money and when.
This is also documented as well as possible in this forum, as some of you may have read.

Our philosophy is :
the wealthy give to the poor, we support the socially weak who are in need, because we are all human and everyone needs help.

Please understand that I can't reply to every post, but when I have more time I will of course distribute lots of merits.

Please, please keep up the good work, we want to collect as many ambulances as possible for the Ukraine.

Maybe we can also find some big investors who would support our project because the ambulances cost a lot of money even when used and then they also have to be equipped with various medical materials.

Thank you again, thank you, keep up the good work, the suffering people of Ukraine are so grateful to each and every one of you and together we can help these people and give them some hope again.

On behalf of everyone, my deepest respect to you and make sure you stay healthy.

Greetings Tim

We are here to make this campaign a success. I see many users from our Bengali local board come here to donate. I think translating this Ambulance Campaign topic to my local board created a good stir there. But if everyone spreads the topic of buying this ambulance in their local board, it can create more buzz and this campaign can be successful quickly. I also hope more users from my local board can participate here. It is our duty to be human and stand beside people. One thing to remember is that if you donate, you never run out of money, but if you donate, your money increases. So let's all come forward to help in whatever way we can.

Thank you everyone

I don't just donate here but i also donate needy people in real world even if donation amount is not large.

No one should feel the need to defend any donation amount!   It's good of you to remind people there are other ways to donate, if you want to HODL your crypto.

@derBowlers

At first Kudos to both of you for this great job. All these great works are spent for a great purpose. Even a small donation can make a big difference in the Ukraine crisis as we have realized through this campaign. Our small donations will definitely make a big difference for the people of Ukraine.

Hey, it's the thought that counts at the end of the day, not to mention that most of the people who have donated are probably living comfortably without the worry that a war might erupt in their country anytime soon, for me, it's my way of helping them to some level, I mean I can't relate to the people that are afflicted by war but I've read and watch too many war stories to be numb of what they're probably feeling there, it also feels good that the amount that I've donated will help a lot of people, makes me atone for some wrong things that I've done to people in my life even just a little.

Good to see that several members here have made new donations. Gradually users are getting aware about this donation campaign and they are donating. It is another example of people coming forward in the danger of people. @1miau (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=2143453) is instrumental in making this donation campaign a success. @1miau (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=2143453) boss is sending some amount of merit to every donor against donation which is encouraging donors to donate more. I appreciate and respect everyone's activities.

@derBowler (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=2556617) Can we know the total amount of donation deposited in your account?

Already to make the ambulance campaign successful @Out of mind, @Maus0728, @Lidger, @2Pizza410000BTC, @pinggoki, @AirtelBuzz, @Essential10, @bitcoin_mining, @Lucius, @Bd officer, @N.O, @Bitcoin_people, @Adiljutt156, @HelliumZ They have completed their small donations. Thank you all for standing by the helpless people. The Ambulance Campaign can be successful if everyone comes forward with their small donations to stand by the helpless people of war-torn Ukraine. I have already seen that many people have responded to this campaign, besides, the issue has been highlighted in various local boards I hope many more will soon step up to stand by the helpless people of Ukraine.

@1miau, @derBowler You two are very cooperative and working hard to run the Ambulance Campaign. I hope your good intentions will be successful.

When I saw the ambulance campaign for the Ukrainian in our local board (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5495952.0) that was posted by Chilwell (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=3499955) I was surprised because for such thread to be translated to our pidgin language it shows that the situations is getting more and more serious so I have decided to donate the little I can afford. I have been listening to some of the news about the Ukraine's on how they manage to survive at this time (https://reliefweb.int/report/ukraine/ukraine-surviving-times-war) and its good we all show some love to one another with the little that we can afford.
https://talkimg.com/images/2024/05/10/1Uw78.jpeg
This is my donation for the Ukraine's.

I think it is too early to ask for an account of the total donations in @derBowler's (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=2556617) possession right now because this thread was created barely a month ago and donations as still coming forth as you can see so it will be good if the thread is left open till donations stop coming or the thread becomes inactive and closed only then can @derbrowler give account for the total donations but for now it is not necessary IMHO.

Bitcoin is about transparency.   All the donations should sit in the original address until moved to a certified donation address.

Everything that has been collected so far for this campaign is still available and in the account.

Everything that was collected before has also been used for what it was intended, needed and donated for.

We have been handling various aid shipments since the beginning of the war in Ukraine and we will continue to do so as long as the Ukrainians need our help.
So please don't spread unnecessary mistrust here, because that doesn't help the people who are in need and what we are all working for here. THANK YOU

As I said, I don't understand your statements here!

This address has been in existence for over two years and has already been used to finance various aid transports and relief supplies.
Our investor receives the coins, who then exchanges them for us at the current exchange rate without any fees.
It is logical that withdrawals have taken place in the past.

What he ultimately does with them or where he sends them and to what address is completely irrelevant to us and is none of our business.

We are glad that we found such an investor back then and he also wants to remain anonymous.
He just helps us in the background to turn the coins into money to buy various aid transports and goods.

Once again, nothing has yet been withdrawn or exchanged for the current ambulance project, see the Blockchain.

Hmm, that's a pretty good idea.
I really appreciate your work, OP!

You are doing very moral work by fulfilling the rights of humanity. It becomes the right of all of us to know that if any human being is facing difficulties, it becomes our duty to help him. And above all, it is important to help the affected people, no matter who they are, where they are from, etc. So, being a human being, I want to make some donations for the children and women of Ukraine by paying the right of humanity. At the moment, the bearishness of the market will not allow me to contribute much, but what they say is that drop by drop makes ocean.

So I also want to contribute to the Ambulance Campaign like other members. I hope you will accept my donations.

Thanks!

I have already promised to stand by the people of Ukraine. I am trying to collect donations for the people of Ukraine through various means. It may take some time to get outside donations so I personally sent a few. I am basically a working man and always tried to be by the side of the war-torn people of Ukraine, so this is a small effort of my income to give through you. I know it's very little but it's nice to share this small donation with you.

I have donated some money to the ambulance project as per my ability, honestly it feels really good to participate in such a noble cause. I am praying from my heart that, your ambulance project will be successful and will end the suffering of many helpless people. And we should stand by every affected and needing people, because today they are in danger, we stand by them. Tomorrow if unfortunately we are in any danger then tomorrow they will also come forward to help us as much as possible. This is how we should stand by each other and it is above our duty.

Anyway, I am really happy to participate in this project.

Specially I sincerely thank @derBowler brother, because at first I could not send the money to the address I wanted to donate to. For this @derBowler brother sent me another address, I was able to send money to that address.

Didn't expect that I would get those merits, you guys never should've made a fuzz about it and gave those merits to the people that's deserving of getting them merits. I'm happy that my donation was able to make a bit of difference to the hell scape that a lot of Ukrainian's are currently facing, to the Ukrainian forum people out there, this war isn't bound to last long and that there's a light at the end of the tunnel.

Are there like a thread about this donation drive that's only giving out updates on the things that are currently happening, probably really cool if get an updates on what's happening to the donation, pretty useful to prove your innocence when there's people out there that doesn't believe in what this person has done to the get to the point that you don't care about but it's thrown to you.

Probably 0.000130 btc will be received in wallet excluding gas fee. I am happy to donate here even though the donation amount is small. If the ambulance campaign is successful, my donation will be worthwhile when I will hear that the ambulance has been donated to help people in Ukraine and when a patient will be helped in that ambulance. I appreciate the work of all those who have taken this responsibility and those who have donated here, thank you.

Hey @derBowler sorry I am getting this information now because a fellow local poster @Chilwell translated this topic to our localboard and I had to track down to see the source of the content and I noticed it wasn't a cooked story nor faked, actually it's touching to see people at this critical condition without providing them more facilities to help save their lives.
I don't know how it would look like, although I was unable to read through out the topic to see what others has already put down, so I will say if there is any address provided for usdt-bsc or usdt-trc20 I don't mind showing my own side of love with little I know I can give irrespective that I have my own personal responsibility but I think my love can go along way even though I can't give upto what you guys expected, but with a woman heart I am being touched to give. Please I would want you to quote the address for me if there is any then within 48hr I can make payment to it and share prove of payment here with you, and hope it won't be late by then?

Thank you as I wait for your response.

Greetings Tim

It's really interesting how much funding you have shown here, even though a lot of money is still needed to purchase an ambulance. You continue this for a long time surely success will come, I think this project will be successful, and you will stand by the side of innocent victims. Although, many people are now involved in your project and are sending donations to make it a success. And if this project is successful, it will surely help the innocent and needy people in Ukraine and you are helping them a lot, it is a very good thing.
If people are more encouraged as they are sending donations here at present and request people from their country to donate, then surely this ambulance project can be made a success easily. We know small amounts add up to a huge fraction, so our small donations add up to huge amounts, and we believe this project will be a success.

@derBowler, if it's not a secret, how much does a fully equipped ambulance actually cost? I'm asking purely out of curiosity, of course ;)

Hello,

No, it's not a secret - on the contrary, it shows that we are working on it.

Almost 300,000 euros were collected in the first ambulance project, which enabled six vehicles to be bought, refurbished and various medicines and medical equipment to be purchased.

Report on the first project with the collaboration:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T_rlrt0rnVQ

Of course, there are also transportation costs, fuel (diesel) for approx. 2700 km per vehicle and catering for all the volunteers and drivers.
Such an ambulance has a fuel consumption of approx. 10 to 12 liters per 100 km and weighs approx. 5.5 tons when fully equipped; they are not built for long distances but for quick trips in the city.

Since we as an aid organization have to replace the vehicles again and again and we can then sell them ourselves, we don't have a dealer in between and so an expert opinion is then drawn up on the vehicle and then we buy it from the respective organizations, of course at a low value since everyone wants to help us.

But nevertheless, depending on the equipment (ambulance, emergency aid, intensive care equipment or obstetrics), such a vehicle still costs us several 10k euros or, to put it another way, for just under one Bitcoin at the current exchange rate you can get a complete ambulance fully equipped with various medicines and life-sustaining equipment including transport to the destination plus various additional medical supplies, as we do not travel to Ukraine with the vehicles empty.

Yes, it is a lot of money, but what does freedom cost, a healthy life without fear and suffering?

I hope I was able to bring you a little transparency here again to show this and we can continue to count on any support.

Greetings Tim

@derBowler, Thanks for the detailed answer ;)

Honestly, I didn't even think that such a vehicle with all the equipment could be cheap, but what is cheap nowadays, right? However, considering the size of the European Union, it seems to me that there is probably a certain amount of ambulances that could perhaps even be donated (which is probably happening).

Regarding the transport of vehicles, have you perhaps thought about sending them in another way, perhaps by transport train or transport trucks? Maybe I'm wrong, but it seems to me that it would be cheaper.

Hello everyone

I also want to stand needy people of Ukraine but unfortunately I do not have much funds to donate this campaign to make this campaign successful and I am really sad about it  :'(. I cannot become an ambulance campaign donor myself but maybe someone Spanish users came here to donate some funds to this campaign through my translation • Asunto: Ambulancia - Campaña - Ucrania (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5496157.0). @derbowler, you are doing such a great job and all other members are also doing great work by donate some funds.

Hopefully we will be on the list you provided very soon and I will try to donate to the ambulance campaign as much as I can. Giving is a noble virtue and small donations often go a long way in helping big causes. I will donate today by converting my native local currency to bitcoin or ethereum as I don't have any bitcoin or ethereum at the moment.

It may be a good decision for you. Make your donation here as soon as you can and associate yourself with this ambulance campaign.
Yes you are right that small donations often add up to big ones. So those who are donating in small form here should never feel small because sometimes even small amount can help people. Willingness to donate required Those who have the will to donate can donate any amount they want. Also if you can't donate Bitcoin or Ethereum due to high fees then you can donate Monero(XMR) tokens. Because these tokens require very low fees to withdraw.
@derBowler had previously provided a Monero(XMR) address which was incorrect but May 11 he has again provided a new Monero(XMR) address which is correct if you wish to send your donation to that address.

I appreciate your effort @derBowler for sacrificing your time to see how funds can be raised for the ambulance. God bless you and your family including all the donors.

Around 25 members have donated to this campaign which is really appreciable as people donating like this in this kind of campaign is really beyond our expectations. Everyone tried their best to donate and they donated. We are not belittling anyone's donation because everyone has donated here to benefit people. There are still many users who can donate to this campaign so I think OP should be patient for some more time so that everyone who wants to donate can donate to this campaign.

You may have made a slight mistake in counting people because there are already 27 people here who have donated according to their means to help Ukrainians. The member who created this list then three other members have donated here which are not mentioned in this list. I've noticed a few members have translated this post to their own local boards which is why many people are or are aware of this donation related post.
Everyone comes here willingly to donate and whoever wants to donate will donate here. Maybe no one is donating here for a few days, hopefully soon people will come here again and extend their hand of donation to Ukrainians.

I have donated some money to support your campaign. Just realized that recently I wasn't doing enough to support Ukraine. It's already 811th day of war and longer it continues, it's getting harder and harder to get support

Yeah, these things is happening, done both by governments and private initatives. For example, last week truck for firefighters from my city was sent to Ukraine
Regarding to transportation, almost all charities that I know drive cars to Ukraine themselves. If trucks or trains would be better option, probably they would use it, but they're not doing it. If they delivering humanitarian aid or something for troops, they're driving to final destination to be sure that everything will reach people who needs it (We all know level of corruption in Ukraine even in times of war).

You can participate in this donation campaign with whatever you can afford. Actually no one has donated BNB coins or given OP BNP address here yet. You can donate Bitcoin, Ethereum and XMR tokens to the addresses already provided here. If you want to send tokens with low fees then choose XMR coins as these tokens have very low withdrawal fees. If you have Kucoin Gete.io MEXC Kraken exchange you can buy XMR coins from there and withdraw low fee. Maybe $0.053 withdrawal fee is required to withdraw XMR tokens.

You can probably convert it but I'm not sure if you can get a lot more bitcoin out of it, you might be able to find someone that would cover for you in exchange for that BNB, I don't really use BNB so much I can't cover for you, hopefully you can find one.
