I'm releasing http://www.bitcoinbetas.com today into the wild. Keep in mind this is in beta.

Anyone want wants to read about bitcoin related products and services and recieve bitcoin in return for doing so just sign up!

Reason to be an email reader?:

As a reader you get paid 0.005 btc to read email and another 0.005 btc to tweet/facebook like it . It isn't just about earning bitcoin (we know this is nice!) the content will be somewhat interesting to read and not just your standard advertising. No minimum payout needed as we payout every week. We feel we are the quickest and most effective way to get bitcoins into your little paws.

At first it will be weekly like 2-3 a week but then as things pick up it will be 1 daily email. Good questions and thanks for the subscribe!

In terms of advertising on this, what is the reach/number of readers?

We just opened last night and have over 100 + readers so far and is growing rapidly  ;D  so whatever you feel the value is of that to a small donation to get listed is up to you. I'll be coming up with some statistics after the first email launch  - even able to determine the "bitcoin buying power" of the readership! Great question if you have more let me know.

When do you plan to launch and how many emails will a subscriber be given on a daily or weekly basis?

Should be launching this weekend (first emails sent out) at first emails will be a few a week then into daily send at some point. I'll update this thread when the first ones are out.

Absolutely, not. I should put that up somewhere. The Bitcoin Community is more important then selling it out to some corporation. Please let me know if you ever get an email that you think is associated with us that isn't bitcoin related. Thanks for bringing that up!

i would not mind getting mails not bitcoin related but they must come from your domain name to be sure you sent them. You can send any type of spam info into my mailbox while you count them on the balance sheet ;)

Going to stick to the bitcoin related emails for the moment as it "polices" itself easier in that fashion  ;) Down the line I can introduce those type of emails but will let people know ;)

Will you be verifying that people actually read the email or can anyone sign up with a bunch of throwaway email/BTC addresses?

Yes, there will be verification of email opening via the email that was signed up. If you use like 50 emails can eliminate by I.P. It's not perfect but seriously someone that desperate for .005 btc to do this? lol

BTW, on the Thank You page "receive" is spelt wrong. "Recieve" is such common usage it should be an alternate spelling, but none of my dictionaries recognize that.

So two things. First, it seems a number of users are confused by the two-stage signup process... you might want to make it clear that once you've submitted the first form, you're signed up for the mails, and don't have to submit the second if you don't (yet) want to advertise something.

Second, while I'm likely to tweet interesting links if they actually are interesting, it'd be cool if you could somehow verify and pay like .0001 per tweet in an automated way, heh.

Just a suggestion, I'm very new to BTC but I'm very interested in seeing more people and value join the economy, as that is an absolute necessity for better stability.

At the moment it will be 2-5 a week then hopefully ( depending how much sponsors we can get ) 2-5 a day!

I got one yesterday.  Maybe you are one of the unknown/rejected emails.  Like he said it would be about 2 a week for the first bit.  So it may have been sent right before you registered.

Yes. The header will say the topic and [paid] behind it.

What email address are the emails sent from?  I signed up since I wanted to see what the emails look like, etc. before possibly using the service to advertise, but I haven't received any emails yet.

with rate of 0.005 btc per email it is 1000 emails = 5BTC by today rate * $6.70 = $33.5

usual in PTR business the normal rate for 1000 emails user get 40 cents. ( 0.04 cents per 1 email and click on verification link )

if you realy have a emails and you are not a just next scam then i will be a rich from your site... very big difference with the normal rate i think

lets see if I compare your site with one of the biggest and trusted sites in the PTR industry like donkeymails. Their rate is $0.01 ( 1 cent ) per email ( or was last time when i check them ) it is a still big difference. they pay $10 you $33  ???

end i not count if i start to share every email to double my income.

lets calculate on minimum bitc rate: 5btc *  $3 = $15 still 50% more than donkey *100% if I share = $30...

maybe you find something new in the PTR that donkey not know for their 6+ years more expirience in this business.

even you not make your home work. it is not so hard to configure and install a ptr script, put a some good design and start your business. What you do? you collect a emails and lets ppl to click with the hope of payment?

the conclusion of this all is only one word - SCAM

i subscribed to this service understanding the rules first, 1 e-mail or less a week bitcoin related and sponsored. Received my payment from the first one like many others. PM me your e-mail and i will send you a copy, you will see it has nothing to do with regular .01 cent SPAM ;)

think... just think a little... who will pay you to read his email/ads?

if you want to advertise your oen business you will pay on someone ( unknown person ) just to read your email? or you will want to target your ads to range of ppl by years, locations etc...

if you sell a pampers you will pay on a single father just to read that you sell a pampers? or will want to target your emails only to mother in 20-35 years if is possible from a region that you delivery your product ( exclude zambia for example, maybe only in US ), if is possible to have a baby maybe not a child on 15 years old?

lets say who will pay so much for nothing. i explain how much is this in above. and of course do not forget that something need to stay for his profit not only for your :) so $33 for you and $33 for him... WOW  ::)

i just say the facts. it is too good to be true when facts talk.

of course you will have to know what scams (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scam) are before calling a service as such. I didn't give more than my e-mail and benefit from being up to date with bitcoin related things and some cents for reading on that. If the owner doesn't keep his word i don't lose anything. Dunno, just my opinion on this.

this is a great way if someone want to collect a good working emails. pay so nothing - 1 email per week but get so much emails for sale after this.

i receive one great email with: "Also, we'll be including a removal link in every email we send you, so you can leave our list any time that suits you"
realy will delete my email or just check in your database "do not use ( for now )" and sale the database when it grow.

before 6-7 years have a porn sponsors that pay $1 per every free signup email from your referal link. they pay more than him :D

when you have your 5BTC for your 1000 email reading then we will talk... just we not know how many your email will be sold to this moment.

You can simply unsubscribe if you don't like the emails.   I'm not really sure what your trying to get out but I'm willing to listen  ;D

When I start getting spam on the address I'll simply drop the alias and then the address is dead.
I don't even have to bother with opting out; the spammer can waste his resources with another dead email.
So what are you so butthurt about? Angry because someone pays more for reading emails than you do?

In the original post it said that emails would be sent about twice a week.  4 hours doesn't give you much chance in that.  Wait a few days and see, you should get a confirmation email sometime though.

Wait, you don't mine with your Pentium 4? I used to, "Brute Force" back in the day with a Pentium 4, 1.8ghz Northwood... 12 day dictionary attacks... I recently donated the relic to my younger brother.

Sorry, folks we haven't left the community we are just re-vamping some things. Building a more robust automated payment system so you receive your bitcoin payments in a timely manner. A better reporting system for advertisers so you can see exactly what was clicked on and how many people visited your advertisement.

In the meantime, our readership is growing very fast so this is very exciting!  ;D
