To me "bitcoin" is one Bitcoin unit or the "currency". Rarely used like that because it means exactly 1 bitcoin. Usually "bitcoins" is used of course.
Bitcoin with the B is the technology. I don't differentiate between the technology and the software. The official software is either the Bitcoin wallet or the Satoshi wallet or whatever.
