what took them so long... did satosih and his friends mine 3 mill coins b4 letting everyone know about bitcoin?

No. It was immediately announced in a mailing list. Bitcoin was really small back then so it didn't make much sense to start building an exchange right away.

The first year of mining was a slow one, even at difficulty 1.
By Year 1, there were only 1.6M bitcoins.  The other 6.4M bitcoins were mined in years 2 and 3.

Did you really need to bump a 9 year old thread. I read the title and was thinking, it was going to be some conspiracy theory since satoshi was long done since 2018. However didn't expect to see a thread from 2012.

The pizza being worth $48K basically is proof that if you had 10000 BTC you most likely would of sold it in 2012 and if not then, then in 2013 when it had those 2 bubbles to $250 and $1000. There is no way you would of hold all those coins until $65K which happened a couple of weeks back.

Only people that would of held is maybe if they had like 50000BTC and they sold like 10% portion each year.

I don't know about this, this is real or fake it doesn't matter for me. Today Bitcoin is growing in their community. Even if they was mining 3 million coins early before introducing it to the public I think they dont hold it until now. So what's the problem. Bitcoin is decentralized since was born until now.

Those are just presumptions my friend and considering on what year that guy posted then its been clear that after all this time there were no proofs that they are really holding that much.

If the most expensive pizza buyer was still alive today, of course he would really regret what he had done in the past ;D, I think of course he had wasted the opportunity to become the richest person just for the sake of a box of pizza, so now he can only lament his fate with regret.
