Juggalocoin will be huge

I think Juggalocoin is going to be the biggest thing when it releases assuming it doesn't get messed up.  People laugh that the Juggalos can not handle something this sophisticated.  What they don't realize is that the Juggalos are mostly well off suburbanites who are into a certain music style. 

It takes lots of disposable income to buy the gear, travel across the country to the gatherings, buy the music and even more to buy the recreational substances they enjoy in large quantities. 

Watch the Juggalo videos on line: look beyond the jargon, shirtlessness, etc. and see the hot (naked) chicks, perfect teeth, fit or overly well fed bods, decent cars, clean clothes and gear, etc.

The coin has been announced for about a week and hasn't been denounced as a fake.  The dev "Papa Nutt" has answered all questions about the coin. Compare this the BS associated with that abortion Mazacoin.

Even if the Juggalos don't have some kind of internal corporate structure they would have swarmed the forums and called this guy out if this thing wasn't legit. They're like that and just don't tolerate posers.

The main stream media on this thing is amazing, more than Dogecoin at this point and way more than anything else other that Bitcoin. The coin will drop into their mini-economy of Gatherings and concerts and get immediate real world use.

Unless there's a screw-up or some news about something fishy I'm definitely getting into this when it goes official.

When I initially posted the announcement, I said in the thread that we would be getting a lot of press, and a Google search today will show the results.  We've been featured on CNET, Slate.com, The Guardian, Vice.com, Gizmodo, Reason.com, Radio.com, The Voice of America, and thousands of other news sites and blogs.

This is no coincidence.  We have a professional marketing team and with a long-term marketing plan that will insure continued interest in and adoption of the coin.

I agee. Shitcoins are killing crypto.  In this case even though Juggalocoins add nothing innovative and breaks no new ground I predict it will up there with Dogecoin in a month or so assuming the target audience uses it.  The final measure of a coin is real world use and the media this will bring in.  They didn't do stupid stuff like making billions of coins and then adding inflation on top of that the way Doge did.

Nothing can kill crypto.  They are just making it ill. 

The proliferation makes it harder for innovation to stand out, and that does slow down progress.  But the market will take care of it.  This too, shall pass.

Now you might be surprised that I'm talking about innovation since, as you pointed out, Juggalocoin offers nothing innovative -- Technically. 

But I hope that people here will consider that there are other types of innovation.  By most estimates, there are currently about 1 million Bitcoin users, at most.  The question is how is crypto going to make it's way to a MUCH larger slice of the population.  Technical innovations will NOT do it.  The only people who give a shit about most of the very cool technical bells and whistles are already using crypto.

To reach the huge non-crypto masses requires something they can identify with.  Dogecoin did it.  Kinda.  In a weird, fleeting way.  Doge is just a glimpse of what's possible.  But memes have a VERY limited lifespan.  Doge may grow beyond the meme.  I don't know.  But with Juggalos, it's not about a meme.  It's about a community.  A community that already exists, and has been around for over 20 years! 

This is the innovation that JuggaloCoin offers:  A coin that appeals to a very specific, very tight community.  A community of over 1 million people.  We are offering a real opportunity for crypto to dramatically increase its reach.

The Juggalos lack any kind of internal corporate structure, they swarm in packs, trying to find gatherings where like minded people will tolerate the copious drug use needed to listen to ICP. All these people are posers. Not a single person (within the bounds of sanity) actually likes ICP.

The coin will drop into their non-existent economy of "Gatherings" and "concerts" and get absolutely no immediate use in the real world.

There's an escrow set-up for the IPO and there is a 2.7% premine they're completely upfront about.  I don't like IPOs on GP and don't like premines but escrow is the only honest way to do an IPO and 2.7% isn't a massive pre-mine.

I googled juggalo forums and searched 3 that came up on the first page. No mention of JuggaloCoin at all.

With Mazacoin there were lots of posters who came out it was a fraud.  Some were fudsters, random angry guys but there was a core of folks who saw it was a fraud and tried to warn everyone.  I should have listened.  So far Juggalocoin has not generated straight up and thought out "this is BS" posts yet.

I don't see the issue.  Whatever one thinks about the Juggalos and their coin this is definitely worth discussing.  This could be the first legit tie up between a major real world group/movement and an altcoin.  I'd have that thought Howard Stern, the Red Cross or just about anyone would have come before ICP but it didn't happen that way.

That's an interesting observation.

However, if you take a look at those forums, you will see that all of them are pretty much dead.  Even the top Juggalo forums only have a couple of posts per month.

The conversations among the Juggalo community take place mostly on Twitter, and in closed Facebook groups.  There has been a ton of talk on Twitter.  In fact, according to Keyhole.co which tracks keywords on Twitter, tweets about Juggalocoin have reached over 5 million people in the past 4 days, as opposed to 1.5 million for Dogecoin.

In any case, we will definitely be taking our message to the Juggalo forums and groups in the coming days and weeks.
