This is good news: loyal users will earn much more bitcoins this way! This means that every share you submit is valid for 24 hours. If multiple blocks are found within 24h, your share will count multiple times, yielding a more regular payout. Shares older then 24h do no longer count into payout calculations, but if you mine daily, your profits will increase as this method is more resistant against cheaters. Your network round trip time (ping time) to different pools will vary by location and ISP. The PPS value for a 0% fee PPS pool is current_per_block_reward/current_difficulty Currently, that's 0,00004130 BTC. Examples: ABCPool pays 0.00003837 BTC per share, at BTCGuild the reward is 0.00003797 BTC. Eligius is a SMPPS (that's a variation of the PPS scheme) pool paying 0,00004130 per share. Someone may want to mine in a PPS pool for various reasons, one of them being that they may not be able to mine constantly or consistently and want to be paid for their work without worrying about the formula used to calculate the value of their shares submitted. That has nothing to do with what the OP is asking for. PPS pools pay out regardless of how many, if even any, blocks are found at all. IMO PPS is the superior payment method compared to anything out there, you are always guaranteed your payout as long as pool operator has funds, variance, good luck, bad luck etc. does not matter. To answer the question: http://abcpool.co has 0% fee and pure PPS, I used to mine there for months, you can also set a small donation if you appreciate the high profits. Pool overall hash rate 500ghash/s, one of the most popular pools, just doesn't show up on bitcoincharts.com. edit- I apparently didn't read their updated terms, these days they do seem to have a fee. However they also pay for stale shares + orphaned blocks |
