Title: How many BTC have you lost (misplaced, stolen, passsword issues, corrupted)?
Post by: RUEHL on April 19, 2014, 05:00:51 PM
I'm kinda a Bitcoin Noob, however, I hope years from now people will still see 2014 as an "early adopter" phase.

Almost lost about $35 USD worth in a password protected Multibit wallet.  Finally realized I mistakenly had my cap lock key on when I originally typed in my password.

Then, I'm always concerned about losing my 2-factor Authentication phone for an anonymous web wallet only accessed thu Tor, therefore, I try not to keep much online.

So thus far, none for me (knock on wood), but I can easily see how BTC can eventually be carelessly lost in cyber space.  :-\

The only amount I've lost due to theft is 5000 doge and they weren't even worth that much at the time. As for Bitcoins, over 2 on gambling. But you specifically said stolen or anything similar.

When I first started mining Bitcoin it was in late 2011 - early 2012. I had a brand new ATI HD 6970.

I don't know how much I mined with it, but it was no small amount, and that hard drive was formatted since.

Sadly I ignored Bitcoin from 2012 all the way until late 2013.
