Title: [ANN] Extremecoin.org (EXC) BBQcoin.org (BQC) (Omega6) Updates
Post by: Omega6 on April 20, 2014, 12:32:04 PM
Hello to the Extremecoin and BBQcoin communities.

I have started posting on this forum as I feel now is the right time to do it.

I have bought out and taken over a few Crypto-Currency domains and have started to develop and improve a small selection of coins that I feel have a lot of potential that is not being fulfilled, Extremecoin.org is one of the domains that I have bought out, along with BBQcoin.org and of course I created Bitcoin Scrypt.

I am currently working on a more simple version 1.6 of Extremecoin to get the blocks moving quickly again like the coin was originally designed to do as seems that CaptChadd's innovation was sound but the implementation was very poor however, that's only my opinion.

BBQcoin has been running along fine and I feel that this is due to its fantastic support network but the client is overdue a client update if only to add some security checkpoints.

Everyone's opinion matters, everyone is equal and no individual will have sole control of any Crypto-Currency that I financially support and promote, Decentralization gives everyone an equal control of any coin following this core principle, which in effect means that there cannot be a select amount of developers or just one developer, the development "team" should actually be the whole community, everyone.

It is called Open Source Free Software for a reason and the Linux Distro Dev's have it just right with Ubuntu balancing on that very fine line :-)

I think captchadd did a good job of reviving BQC. We were able to dump our coins for 1 btc per 2500 bqc. Those prices will never be seen again with so many coins on the market.

There are many coins on the market which have a far larger amounts in circulation, Dogecoin for example, has huge block rewards and is very popular but will those high block rewards which initially entice lots of miners mean a greater chance of a market crash?

Normally a combination of a sensible block reward and getting the balance correct with regards to supply and demand is just one of the factors for developing anything successful.

Dump is the main word there, never to be seen again, it's a currency, not a one-shot firecracker. :-/ Feh!

Like: Yay, I got away with dumping toxic waste in someone's backyard! Glad I got away with it, kind of theory.

I have bought out the domain names for a few Crypto-Currencies that have huge interest from the Russians and Chinese, who at the moment, are both the main investors in all digital currencies and which the Developers seem to have stopped supporting.

Extremecoin Update

There has been only one Dev for EXC that I am aware and that was CaptChadd, it seems he is skilled at getting coins onto exchanges and promotional work but got involved in a scam of some sort so has taken time off I gather?

Anyway, the code is not in the best state at the moment, I think the previous Dev was pressured into taking bad coding advice and as such this coin has suffered.

My plan for EXC is to release a simplified difficulty adjustment version 1.6, that make the coins much more easier to mine, while still keeping everything else basically the same.

The innovation of this coin at the business level is incredible, with the supply and demand balance pretty much spot on, it just needs to have a more stable flow of blocks to compensate for the low block reward.

I am going to test some code changes on my own intranet based (Test) Crypto-Currency to see which is going to be the most viable for this popular but underachieving coin, as I believe this to be one of the top Crypto's around, the Chinese seem to think so.

BBQcoin Update

The development of this coin is very much in debate, with several Developers seeming to help and hinder this coin, with coin Wiki's being re-written with each new Developer taking over.

As such the currency Source Code is suffering because of this, there are many inconsistencies with what the BBQcoin's client does and what the Source Code actually does and this is going to my main focus.

I plan to bring the Source Code back in line with the current client, to make sure that anyone else compiling their own clients are using the same code and to then make minor changes to improve this coins future supply and demand balance.

The first change to start the balance of supply and demand is to reduce the MAX coin amount to much lower than it currently is, add in security checkpoints and 24/7 dedicated Seed Nodes.

These are the changes that I am working on and proposing for the short term but due to the fact that this coin has been getting along pretty well as it is, I feel the code does not need much change, just refinements.

BBQcoin is another coin that is receiving a lot of attention from the Chinese.

The BBQcoin website will also be moving to a blog style platform to keep everyone updated with future plans.

Regarding bqc I agree with the plan! I just think something has to be done really fast; I saw a falling down of the coin by 60 positions in merely one day on coinmarketcap.com  :o

I am only every interested in Crypto-Currencies that I believe have the highest probability for longevity and prosperity.

I have a very small list based on my trending system of the digital currencies that will still have active developers and a supporting community in 9 months times.

It is the same probability model that I have used for commodity investments for the last ten years and from which I earn my living.

I am investing a sizable portion of my time and capital into both BBQcoin and Extremecoin to ensure that these coins remain on that list, with the final goal to get them both near the top.

The one thing I will never do is tell anyone what to invest in, all I can do is make sure that any inside knowledge of this industry is made freely available so everyone has a fair chance to make a choice based on factual information.

Hi all,

The main reason why I am developing the next BBQcoin client slower than normal is due to the fact that I did not create this coin, this gives enough time for the BQC community members to voice their concerns for their coin.

The main problems I can see is with the Source Code directly is that there is so much unused and unnecessary code that needs to be removed just for simplicities sake.

Next is the matter of the max amount of coins, which needs to be dramatically reduced to help stabilized the supply and demand balance.

The last matter is a point of Crypto-Currency partnership, as I now own the main domains of BBQcoin.org, Extremecoin.org and Bitcoinscrypt.org these will be the ONLY currencies that will be able to purchase the stockpile of fine silver coins that I have been building for the last five years and if this proves to be successful, then I will be adding fine Gold, Platinum and Palladium to the webstore that is currently under development.

To make it clear, Bitcoin SHA256 (Bitcoin) will NOT be accepted at my precious metal coin store, only BBQcoin, Extremecoin and Bitcoin Scrypt.

I also own the domains for many other Crypto-Currencies and they will be added as a form of payment in due time.

Quite interesting...it sounds like a good plan. Somehow a unique one but still interesting.
How much would you reduce the max amount of coins? (I remember the max was 88 millions...and now we should be at 35 millions, am i right?)

You can bet 'dollars to donuts' that the OP is a CaptChadd sock puppet. Remember, before CaptChadd was exposed as a mega pump-and-dumper and wanna-be dev who failed at the BQC takeover and fancied himself a programmer by changing the BQC graphics, and then was further exposed as running a dodgy online business, he had very large positions in BQC and EXC and also showed great interest in Bitcoin sCrypt, which he also probably has a large position in. Remember the scryptasic.org scam?

Not a coincidence.

He's trying to dump his coins.

In before CaptChadd and OP deny it.

Why anyone would dump all their coins is beyond me, it is much better to invest in a coin for the long term but looking at the past six months the price drop of BQC has been major which too me shows lots of dumps.

I am also not posting on here to get involved in speculation, I am here as a developer trying to help out but I am expecting to get minus trust etc because of the nature of Bitcoin Scrypt which I created.

A dedicated forum will be setup for BQC, EXC, BTCS and one other and is not designed to replace any other forum but will be used as a more in depth discussion platform with more serious and highly focused topics about the best direction these coins should take in the short and long term.

I am in the process of buying out a select amount of Crypto-Currencies to create a form of a Join Coin Initiative so if a service gets opened all the coins in the initiative get added, it will also mean that these coins will have to conform to the basic standards of fairness and equality.

This forum will be invite only and members that I either know or have heard about that have supported these coins no matter what will be PM'd and then emailed their login details.

Together we are stronger.

If you can see from the updated Extremecoin website, I am working on Version 1.6 of EXC.

Remember though that this will bring Extremecoin, code wise to how it was supposed to be, as per the old Dev's release details.

This means blocks are going to be found fast again, not sure how that will effect the EXC price but with blocks flowing again, it should get added to CoinWarz again and maybe a few exchanges might pick it up.

Once the client release is out and running smooth, then I will start to market Extremecoin and see how community members respond.

News on extremecoin 2.0? All I see is getting listed on Cryptopia.

Right now our main goal is to get Extremecoin onto another exchange and we believe we have found one that offers a lot more than just that.

Over at https://www.cryptopia.co.nz they take on Crypto-Currencies through a voting process using a combination of a registered free 1 vote per day system and another way using their own DOTcoin Currency.

Extremecoin is already on the voting list and is rising but we need EXC’s supporters and miners to help get this coin onto Cryptopia.

Coins like this would gain much more acceptance if all the necessary information was located on the main website for the coin. Also a current list of working pools would also help.

Shouldn't this be on the announcements section?

BQC, EXC, BTCS
lights out on all 3?
