Actually, BTC will go to da moon, but it will get there by drilling straight down through the earth, emerge out the other side straight up to the sun, through the sun, across the galaxy, into a black hole, until emerging in a parallel, mirror image universe retracing its previous route all the way back through the hole it made in Earth and out again until this time it actually is directed at our lunar satellite.

In other words, it will take the scenic route.

Any reasoning behind $550?? like why? My prediction is somewhere around $250, seriously

To reach that would be a 20% gain, which has happened several times even during this bear trend.  It's within the range of "sane" predictions IMO

$550 by May the 4th is possible, but not very likely (imho)

I find this situation unlikely.  The China thing will drag out for at least another week, and will move prices lower as exchanges begin cutting off deposits.

The short-term Bear trend ended over two weeks ago.
If we get a clear sign that medium-term is up, then all 3 time periods will be Bullish.  :)

I think you are right, something like It should be on May 4, maybe like $520 or something like that.

Maybe BTC goes up in honor of the Mexican Holiday (cinco de Mayo)? Or Floyd Mayweather JR. Is gonna spend his whole paycheck from his fight the night before on May 3rd :)

Cinco de Mayo is bigger in the US than it is in Mexico. It's just an excuse to drink.

i would love to see bitcoin hit 550 before may 4th but to be honest i dont see it happening. yes it will rebound but who knows when it will. lets hope history repeats and we see 10000 in a few months :)

This is a good point. I think we're probably getting to the end of the FUD and into a bullish phase. The price won't go down forever, especially since more and more businesses are excepting bitcoin and there continues to be more and more promising news on a daily basis. I also say that now is a good time to buy.

Won't happen unless there's a major catalyst, I put probability at < 5%. May 4th is far too early to break out of our current pennant.  

That is the crazy thing about the swings of BTC though...it could hit $550 in the span of 1 hour....

I you wait for a chart like that to give a clear buy signal, then you are buying above $550 to $600, or even higher.
Good traders know it is an acceptable risk to make the smart move and buy when prices are much lower.

That ended long ago, and now it is disabled most of the time.

A sample size of one poll is too small to make this claim, but it looks like this forum as a whole is better at predicting its market than most forums are at predicting their respective non-virtual-currency financial markets.  I might go out on a limb and say that when this changes, it's a sign that Wall Street is in the market.

You need to take out the Attention Seeking Whore votes as that is a neutral option. This is what people select when they are thinking 'omfg, another pointless attention seeking poll'. This makes the final count:

This is right in line with the axiom of the majority on Bitcointalk.org forums always being wrong. Although worthy to note is that the bearish proportion in this poll has increased compared with historical bull/bear polls. There are normally twice as many bulls as bears on bitcointalk.org forum polls.
