Title: Anyone that has any experience with white label exchanges?
Post by: TiltSinceBirth on April 28, 2014, 09:38:31 PM
Hi,

I have been contemplating whether or not I should start a bitcoin exchange in my home country for a while now, and I feel like it's time to get the ball rolling.
The only problem is that my expertise in building a secure, fast and reliable site is close to non-existing, so I have been looking at white label solutions such as bex.io, btctrader.com but mostly buttercoin.com(as it's funded by GV + more = Safe?).

Are there anyone here that has any experience with white label exchanges? What are your thoughts about the matter? Anyone that can show a site that is using a white label?

Cheers

Dependence on 3rd party software ruins the exchange business at its base.

Hello there,

we, draglet, are a company based in Munich, Germany, and also offer our unique exchange software as white label solution.

Our software features Optimistic Fund Locking (users are allowed to crreate orders that are actually not covered by current account balance) and a wallet with encrypted user access and multisignature cold storage. The solid order matcher was already tested for 9 months by thousands of users and now is one of the products that draglet are offering as part of our white label exchange. You can get more information about our software and services at draglet.com - feel free to give our exchange showcase a try.

Greetz,

Ben

I am not a big supporter of any white label products, but if you have no other option, then you have to do that. The thing is, you never know what "backdoors" are written into their code and if your business will be safe in the future. We hear about exchanges being hacked and then we ask the question, why this is happening.  ::)

If in any way possible, get someone to review the code. <if it is Open source>

What?

If you're managing money, especially other people's money, you need to make sure everything is correct. If something goes wrong, you need to understand the whole system so that you can fix it and put it right. You can't just tell a customer "sorry, I don't really know what I'm doing so I can't help you".
