This statement from Ripple strikes me as odd.  Does logging out of the client on an otherwise networked, and possibly malware-infested computer, qualify as "cold storage" these days?   I wouldn't think so.

I'm no expert, but I thought your password and key were all you needed for Ripple cold storage. However, the new client makes a nice alternative to having to use a browser to log in. I'll give it a go and see what it's like.
