Hello,
I'm trying to turn on my antminer s1 (in single blade mode, because I have a Corsair CX430M, and it has only one PCI-E connector), but the fan starts spinning and stops after less than 10 seconds. I'm almost sure that I still do need another connector, as you guys can see in the pictures:

I'm using a paper clip to make my PSU work without a CPU.

The fan stops soon after you turn on the miner but it will start spinning again once it starts mining.

When you power it on and the fan stops spinning do the lights stay lit?

Yes, the leds are blinking as if they were working correctly.

Now the Antminer's Fan does not work at all. I didn't let it turned on for a while because I'm afraid to fry it.

I also thought it could be because it is not hot yet, but need to know this one fur sure, because that was not so cheap.  :-\

The newer S1's have the fan only turn on when it gets to a certain temperature.

So don't worry about the fan for now, have you tried connecting to the miner with a web browser? It should be on 192.168.1.99 or 192.168.2.99 there should be sticker on the miner telling you what IP address it is.

You need to have your computer on the same IP range to connect to it. e.g. 192.168.1.55 for example, your network might already be set on the 192.168.1.x IP range already, so you will need to find that out, how you do that is then depending on your computer. The same if you need to change your IP address to match the range on the miner, it depends if you have a Windows or Mac or Linux box how you make that change.

My miner has 192.168.0.1 as his default ip. I've tried loading it here in my Chrome browser but didn't work. I don't know what should be the default network mask, gateway and ip. I'm using Fedora 32 Bits, by the way.

The only problem at this moment is configurating my network to connect with it. I have Wi-fi connection, but right now I'm trying via ethernet cable. I think I will switch to wi-fi mode and see what happens.  ;)

EDIT again: Ooops, his ip is 192.168.199. My bad!

EDIT: My cable was not plugged correctly and now it's in a screen which I need to insert my username and password... I'm trying to figure out what that is. I did what you wrote about using an ip in the same range and is working smoothly.  :D

You can't configure wifi mode until you have first connected with ethernet.

First you need to set you Fedora to the same net range as the Ant if its not already.

Check IP address of fedora, open a console and type ifconfing in the console window, that should give you lots of info but you will need to look for the IP address of eth0 probably.

Network working now.  :D
I only need to figure out what I have to insert as username and password... Can I simply put anything?

EDIT: A simple search answered my doubt about password and username: both are root. :D

Yeah, I noticed that with a simple search. I asked this one because I'm crazy to see that miner working as fast as possible. But what about using a paper clip in my PSU? Can I use my miner this way in long term?

Its fine, I wrap mine in electrical tape just to be sure, but its not needed.

But now I'm getting a lot of error messages: "'192.168.1.99' não pode ser encontrado" (couldn't be found) and my worker is not showing on multipool.us as active...

You think too much about that paper clip. Paper clips is the simple way to power on the PSU. The idea is short PS-ON pin with ground. Similar function available on mainboard. So use any mean you like to short PS-ON with ground.

Ok, I'm not paranoid about the paper clip anymore. lol.
The problem now is about making my asic mine (the best part, haha).

You have to set the miner to use the same gateway and DNS servers as your computers on your network.

I think I'm not using a DNS address. Do I need to use one? Google DNS, for example?
EDIT: I still can't make my worker work... Miner Status without any values yet and multipool not showing an active worker (the only one supposedly working actually is from my Antminer S1).

Yes, you can use 8.8.8.8 as dns server

Set the IP to match you network prefix. Set the gateway to your router IP.

I don't know why, but my Wi-fi does not work, regardless of what I do... And if I were to use my miner to connect through Wi-fi, it should be an open wi-fi, without password, correct?

I can connect to my miner ip via browser only if it's directly plugged in my modem via ethernet cable... ;\

I've downloaded it and was about to install soon. I installed it right now.  ;)

EDIT: Please, help me with this part. I don't know what to do now. My miner is not active, no values in the "miner status" page, and when I try to ping, it gives me this error message: ping: bad address 'www.google.com.br'.
I'm with Teamviewer installed already.

I beg to anyone who has Teamviewer to help me out. I need to know if it's correctly configurated, but I'm too inexperienced with networks.

EDIT: Oh, my God... Now I can't even access the antminer through web browser! And hurts to try to find a tiny button, wherever it is. Oh, and I forgot to say: My ISP asks username and password to connect to internet... I guess this is the reason to be unable to connect to internet via Antminer.

EDIT: I found the tiny button. It's located near of a red led, in case of anyone having the same issue. BUUUT... I couldn't reset my asic. I pressed the damn button for, say, 1 MINUTE, but nothing happened. A green led always blinking, a static red led, my miner unable to connect to internet and my pc unable to connect his interface. OMG!

EDIT: My miner reset successfully! But no internet connection yet. :\

EDIT: Now I can connect to the miner ip through my pc, but still can't make my antminer work.

I'm using a router with wifi, which is not the correct devide to use with my type of connection (adsl via radio). I just sent it to maintenance to see if there's something wrong with my device or my type of connection. Surely it's a problem or with my type of connection (via radio), or with my inappropriate device for this type of connection (which I discovered that is recommended a modem with wifi, not a router with wifi, if using via radio internet)...

Or maybe is a problem with both.  ???
By the way, my android is unable to connect to the internet too. A problem in my network, for sure! But today at the end of the day I will know. My router is in the maintenance already, to be realized tests.

YAY! I got my miner working!! For those having the same issue (considering that I'm using internet via radio - which sucks):

I simply enabled DHCP while I was with both my miner and pc connected through the router (intelbras GWM 1420N).

These are the steps done:

1. Type 192.168.1.99 (or whatever is your miner ip);
2. Before going to the step three, check if your miner pool is correctly set;
3. In networks go to WAN, by clicking in "edit";
4. Switch from static ip to dhcp - note that this was in the manual or FAQ, I don't remember (dooh!);
5. Wait until a green led starts to flash outside the miner and a growing noise start to appear  8);

Note that after you've done the step 4, you may be unable to access the miner, though it's mining already. Maybe you will still be able to access the miner, but that is not my case - my connection sucks, remember?

Ah, and my ISP didn't ask for login credentials. It asks only one time. After logging through browser, it won't ask again. My bad, sorry.
