We're going to Birmingham. As you may or may not know I usually hold a meet in Oxford but for June Oxford is going to Birmingham.

Meet with us if you're local,  Sat June 7th 3pm onwards at All Bar One, Brindley Place, Birmingham UK.

Excuse me bumbling in, but I'm local-ish to brum and am curious.. I don't follow this forum much so I don't know who you/"we" are.. is this a social/developer/business meet? Or just a simple piss-up? :) Just general info of what's what might entice a few more maybe.

Yes, that's the group I set up in Oxford I'm also part of the feathercoin team,  so there will be other feathercoin members there, but we're open to all that are into Crypto so please come along it would be great to meet some new people :)

This time round we're just having an informal meet up designed to get people talking to each other in a relaxed environment, whilst presenting the chance to meet with people mainly from the Feathercoin team,  we may have a Feathercoin ATM to show too.

Sounds good. I'll see if I can make it. I'm one busy f***er.

I might be down for this and a drive down depending on how long it is for and what is covered within the met up or if it is just going to be a get together and a few drinks.

If it is more on business and more on about services, futures,  chit chat and other activities then am down for it. If its just a chat and drinks and get to know each other then ill probs leave it. I would consider going providing theirs actually something worth while going for.

Would be nice to have a few more details. I too would be travelling from far, predicted end time? How many people there are confirmed going etc?

Just to confirm what Ruthie is saying....

This is going to be an informal meet-up with no real agenda being set. There will be some key players from the feathercoin community there, but please don't let that put you off as we are a very friendly bunch and will welcome anyone that comes along regardless of their chosen crypto.

We will be there from around 15:00 till about 22:30 - 23:00 depending on how many turn up and how well the drinks are flowing :)

This is just part of a promise we made to the feathercoin community to try and bring meet-ups within easier reach of people, and not a recruitment drive of any kind, just an opportunity for like minded people to get together.

So what went down at the meeting? Any particular points of discussion that were covered?

We talked about charity fund raising events too and how to make an impact towards a more global charity organisation.

Ah that's a nice device - has the Oxford Blue been trialling this device?

I think that it would be great if exchanges were to promote the trading of Feathercoin through fiat markets. Far too long has Feathercoin's value been so dependent on the Bitcoin market.

Sounds like it was a fruitful meet up. Where is next up on the Crypto Group roadshow? :)

I believe The Oxford Blue will be first to trial the device once its good to go :)

We're looking at holding a meet up in Leeds in the not too distant future maybe in a couple of months,  untill then we are continuing at The Oxford Blue :)

Smashing - I guess it makes sense for what seems to be the flagship Feathercoin-supporting establishment to trial such a breakthrough device :)

Yeah,  we're doing alright here in Oxford with 3 bircks and mortar businesses that now acept feathercoin.

We're also offering Hull Coin on going support and working hard to get the project off the ground.

I'm normally quite good at remembering to email people but I don't want to promise you incase I forget and I don't want to break my promise.

We are holding monthly meet ups, we were holding them last Saturday monthly, the next one will probably be Oxford July 19th, once I confirm with team members and Chris at The Oxford Blue I will post up on here :)
