Why isn't the miner available on the website? Can you get a closeup with the chips and can we get more details about it? What about a video showing the miner hashrate live and power consumption?

Holy crap on a stick.  That's loud even for Data center.  Only time I've ever heard that sound was when a piece of hardware is initializing or thinks something is wrong.  That's the sound of fans running 100%.

Why does the website look like such a scam?

Why does the website say shipping in august yet somehow OP got a miner in may?

Why does the website say 4 x 1.5TH chips yet there are loads of small chips/blades?

hey, hey, I'll do a review of your unit ;)

On a more serious note - I looked at your website and it says that the ASICs are made by Dream Chip Technology. Is this a new chip? Just curious...

Having someone review your miner is the only way to help out consumer confidence in your products. People around here have already been scammed too many times...

I would be willing to review a unit, also do you have some specs on the ASIC Chip?

This is a SCAM! Stay away!!!

Coming from a competitor distributor  ::)

I'm not a distributor, just organizing Group Buys. We saw many scams here on the forum and I was active like here before organizing any Group Buy. Feel free to check my post history prior to March 2014. The fact that the product isn't available on the website + the fact that we don't see a single live hashing makes it strange for me. Until proven otherwise I can only suspect scam.

Another reason to make me think there is something shady is the fact that when I've asked for a live demo the OP laughed about my GB. Very professional. Show me live demo and I will retract my statements. You MAY be legit, but there is not a single proof to show that until now.

I am a fanboi of SP-Tech, before that I was a regular miner since last year and I was/am supporting all the good miners and I'm trying to unmask shady companies. I did it with VMC here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=253282.0 and I will keep doing it no matter what. Last autumn I was supporting KnC and their Jupiter miners. Now SP-Tech is the best company and I support them! They launched in March. I am active in the Mining forum for more than 1 year. I see nothing wrong in asking legit questions regarding this company and this miner.

It seems that jjj0923 can't answer questions so that makes it strange for me and I'm sure that I'm not the only one.

Roadstress may be "enthusiastic" about his current favourite manufacturer but he is and has been no less so about other companies that provided him with good equipment in the past. He's also adept, as are most of us who have been mining and posting here for a while, at sniffing out what appears to be a scam.

Now, I'm not saying this is a scam, but it doesn't take much to prove its not a scam. And I also would advise anyone not to send any money or coins until its sample units have been independently verified.

Well said both Biffa and Roadstress.

If jjj, you are so sure of M.A.T.'s legitimacy, why don't you setup a group buy of one of the miners here.

Let's see even a small 10 unit one of the Titanium or Excalibur, escrowed of course.

Great way to support your company, and gain trust for them as well as you.

I already stated I am not affiliated with this company in any way. I am merely a person who has ordered two scrypt miners from them.

I am not interested in setting up a group buy - I am interested only in my own mining operations

I like the people there I have dealt with - they'be been transparent, honest and up front about delivery time and progress. You should check out their facebook page and link up with their CEO Marc Coumans on Linkedin.com like I did.

Have a great day! :)

when do you expect delivery on the SP30's - I looked closely at them but the pricing, delivery time and my personal cash flow made the Mining Asic units the best choice for me... and I want to send a SHOUT OUT to KNC Miners for announcing they're doubling the hash rates of their miners - YEA!!! - That caused Mining Asics to respond with Buy 1 Get 1 and now I'm getting two for the price of ONE! - BOOYAH!!!

I expect delivery starting/early of August. When do you expect delivery of your Mining Asic unit?

You also have a pre-order for a Neptune? If yes when do you expect delivery of the unit/s?

End of July/Early August for the Mining Asic unit so I was thrilled when Mat posted the video on Facebook last night.

What about Neptunes? Waiting for them or just supporting KnC?

ME? I have no open order from KNC.

But I may go to KFC for lunch today! LOL

How much have you paid for your Mining Asic unit? I don't see any price on their website.

they asked for a 35% deposit when I ordered mine back in March

Why not share real numbers? How much is 35%?

It seems that you are the only one that ordered one. Have they sold out? I don't see them advertising for more sales.

are you serious?

$8000 for 250 megahash - OMG - it's incredible!

then you may want to consider buying enough Hashra units at $3,000 each - hmmm 250/24 = 7.35 * $3,000 = $22,058 from Hashra for the same megahash

I think you're confused about khs/mhs etc... ok?

:)

I'm probably going to personally meet them when I make this deal. I'm extremely skeptical as I was with Spondoolies, yet now I know they're legit. I was hoping to strike a deal with Sp-Tech, but the difficulty is going to destroy all hopeful profits.

He means 2mh/s..

It amazes me that this guy is skeptical of spondoolies (who provided a plethora of evidence) compared to this sketchy company which provided a video of a completely unbranded machine which looks nothing like what was advertised, no proof of humans working at this company, no proof of hashrate/claims of less than 0.3w/gh, no proof of manufacturing facility or any company related offices.

But this guy knows they are legit so its all fine.

Heres a nice quote from the site:

Our miners are also designed to support and mine other cryptocurrencies in the future as we see new currencies facing the light.

Let me clarify. I know that spondoolies is legit, but the august date is too far off. I really did mean 2 GH which is 2,000 mh just so I know that you know what I'm talking about. I'm trying to see if these guys are legit. Hopefully I could strike something with these guys. Hell I'm actually trying to make ends meet with flower tech. It's not good to assume you know what you're talking about.

I've been trying to strike a deal with spondoolies for their hashing boards. I was going to buy 2 PH, but I figured out that it's much more profitable for me together GH in scrypt mining. Of course, I plan on getting way more than 2 GH.

Also flowertech looks like another scam. They claim their scrypt miners can mine scrypt-n along with a bunch of other red flags.

For the amount the 6THs is being sold, what would make this a competitive against the spondoolies sp30?
The 0.6Ths bump does not seem to justify a 4K increase in price.

The renders vs the actual photos seem to be misleading. Its just marketing and all that but the product should be accurately represented.  Even down to the way it looks in final shipping form.

At any rate what value do people get for buying yours vs spondoolies or another competitor?

For 10k I can get 5 Antminer S2s now (just under 12k get 6 S2s) and get them to my doorstep within a week before the difficulty goes up substantially.
With your product one has to wait until August. Where is the value there?
The question I (and others) should immediately ask is, why would I want to buy your miner over one of the readily available competitors out there?

Only suckers pre-order months in advance. Buy what is in stock now only. Sending a clear message that the pre-order business model is dead.

Having been one of those "suckers", I am keenly aware of that. Still the questions are valid. At this point there is no value in their miners at those price point from what can be seen. So they still would need to answer those questions, otherwise its just another way to make money off unsuspecting people. My blood boils even now when I see how BFL still sells overpriced and ghastly underperforming hardware....and worse when they get highlighted in publications (such as CPU magazine).....it's these companies that are making the business of mining a joke for many.

scammers DON'T sign deals (that are verifiable) with chip manufacturers
scammers DON'T answer the telephone

scammers DON'T invite people to their offices for visits and then welcome people into their office.

and that's just for starters - there's a hidden agenda here by the trolls...

They haven't/can't and it is.

The one shill they have here is actually a buyer of their non existent scrypt miner, not even the Bitcoin miner they are promoting here.

They only need a few dozen noobs or mugs to fall for the scam and they have made a tidy sum of money.

scammers DON'T  get on flights and attend conferences.
scammers DON'T sign deals (that are verifiable) with chip manufacturers
scammers DON'T answer the telephone
scammers DON'T have their profiles and pictures on Linkedin and Facebook.
scammers DON'T invite people to their offices for visits and then welcome people into their office.

and that's just for starters - there's a hidden agenda here by the trolls...

no doubt about it....

There are many ways to scam someone, this would be called the BFL con  ;)

what type of chip you are using? It is hard to believe 6TH only at 2.2kw. even the latest 20nm ASIC by KnC has 3THS at 2.1kw.

They are not using any chip because the product doesn't exist.

Anyone know when the scrypt miners were / are supposed to ship?

The most reliable source I could find is unfortunately a scammer  ;D

Looks interesting.

Any idea of delivery estimate?

They will be delivered in Q2/Q3,2014.

But I am absolutely confident that jjj0923 will let us know when he gets his.

Hello jimmothy,

we sold two of our miners to Marc Coumans and MAT about 3 months ago in the context of negotiations with them.

However, the miners were developed and produced by us. As you can see on the picture there is our ASICrising logo on the board. Here is an image of the testboard which we used to test the first samples of our chips:

ok - so they bought the stuff from you and said it was their - what's the harm in that? are you producing stuff for them or just pissed at them they they passed your stuff off as their and why aren't your guys mass producing your units

a reasonable man would wonder why you guys aren't in business selling the hell out of these things based on the current demand for a fast hashing machine..

thanks

You find it questionable that they aren't selling their miners yet never once questioned why MAT hasn't been selling a miner they've had for months?

Here are some things I found questionable:

Quote from: MAT
6 THS - only 2,200 watts

Quote from: Coinbau
we have been able to maintain stable operation   with 1800 GH/s at 1.8 kW of power consumption from a wall-socket.

Dream Chip Technologies GmbH(DCT) based in Garbsen GERMANY is our main partner for the development, the design and manufacturing of SHA256 ASIC Bitcoin Miners

We taped-out our 1st generation 28nm Bitcoin mining ASIC in August last year and developed a 1.8 TH/s mining rig based on that. The complete ASIC and rig development as well as the manufacturing of a limited number of engineering samples was completely financed by ourselves.

all good questions - perhaps because the 2 units they purchased never worked properly (just speculation mind you) and they were left high and dry and had to scramble and look elsewhere?

I sent a PM to both of the individuals involved posting here asking about their equipment but have not received replies yet....

Whatever it is he's trying to sell off as MAT miners are really Coinbau wolfcaves rebranded.

Since you talk to him so often, you'd know this already, either that or you're in the process of getting your masters degree in the art of shilling.

I totally disagree. When you buy a phone from Apple they don't tell you that's made at a sweat shop in China where people have jumped to their deaths.
NO company is required to disclose their sources and neither was MAT - My guess was at that time everything was peachy dandy between the two companies and things went awry which is why those guys are out here now calling MAT liars - seems like they have an axe  to grind.

secondly - please tell me where anyone on this planet can go to purchase a Coinbau wolfcave and there is appraently a season for that - have you asked yourself that?

My guess is that it a) never worked or b) the cost or time frame to manufacture was simply not within the realm of reality.

Was MAT under some obligation to inform me that the units they showed were built by someone else?  that answer is NO

Did mat OWN those systems? - The answer is YES - they paid for the systems and they were indeed theirs.

The bottom line here is that you have some sort of axe to grind and you are overlooking the facts - if these machine were really what they allege to be don't you think they'd be in production by now an for sale?  and they are not - show me where I can buy one please?

what I know from experience is that there are three sides to every story - his side, their side and the real truth lies somewhere in between.

for now I am banking on MAT to get me machines and I personally could care less who built them - seriously.

finally - why are you guys so spiteful and vengeful and filled with such venom - what did MAT every do to you?

last time I checked I was the guy with the deposit with them - not you.... LOL - if anyone should be filled with rage if could be me, but I have no time in my life for hatred - it's a losing proposition...

as always I remain hopeful and nothing I've learned here today has changed my mind.

true: I was hoping for July and that's what Marc relayed to me but he did tell me two weeks ago there were some delays, but the way I'm looking at this is relatively simple. Right now there is nothing on the market that even comes close to the speed of these machines for the $/MH that they will be. KNC certainly does not appear to be anywhere close to delivering that they promised. Nothing is coming out of China except for what GAW has announced and that's not until November/December.

As it related to sweating bullets: If I have not received anything by the end end of September I'll be filing suit in a Danish court against MAT, but I highly doubt it will come to that.

Fortunately for me a business contact of mine does a lot of legal work throughout Europe and I already have the name of an Attorney in Denmark to represent me if it comes to that. I'm kind of like Ronald Reagan when he referred to the Russians. I do a lot of leg work on companies and individuals up front before forking over money : my motto is: Trust but verify.

In the meantime - life goes on and it's Friday here an I'll be boating on bay this weekend with a cocktail in hand, not worrying about this stuff!

I refuse to be sucked into the black hole that is the vortex of doom that permeates you guys.

It's past experience from the community and a strong desire to stop the scammers from taking advantage of new miners that we dose a huge amount of skepticism on any new asic mining manufacturer. We're all completely sick and tired of this which is why we all sigh when another one pops up, steals money, and delivers nothing.

Mining isn't a religion so people need to quit believing and hoping.

You can sue all you want, doesn't matter if they've skimmed the money which in this sort of time frame they almost certainly have. Or that it will cost you 2x as much in legal fees to even get a judgement on how much you lost, nevermind even attempt to enforce that judgement on the money which now doesn't exist.

tldr, I'm sorry.

It's the beauty of EU law. Member states can sue someone in another EU state. Best of luck with it. aFox in France sued KnC in Sweden and forced them to refund the miner's money as well as pay legal fees. (said lawyer is no longer taking miner cases - must be too much work too little pay)

was reading the scam thread then I saw this last post. You have to know that lawyers in France doesn't take a % of the indemnity (or it's very rare). You just pay them (in advance ;D) . The loser has to pay everything : justice fees, opponent lawyer, indemnity (if applicable).

Basically jjj your homeboy Marc Coumans is lying scumbag scammer.

Whatever it is he's trying to sell off as MAT miners are really Coinbau wolfcaves rebranded.

Since you talk to him so often, you'd know this already, either that or you're in the process of getting your masters degree in the art of shilling.

Bcp19 would be so proud.... :P

Black Arrow Syndrome.

After all the proof was put on the table regarding Black Arrow was a scam, millions were still spent to acquire their vaporware. Results? Not even vaporware, and the phone lines no longer work, and the company's long gone.

As it related to sweating bullets: If I have not received anything by the end end of September I'll be filing suit in a Danish court against MAT, but I highly doubt it will come to that.

So how is that lawsuit coming?

it's not because I got the shipping notice for my system :)

I've been in touch with Marc from Mining-Asics a lot over the past month - I can't say what I know but they got jerked around pretty good by a so called reliable supplier and things were delayed, but to their credit they stayed in touch with me and others and let us know about delays and the reasons for the delays. I'm a happy camper :)

When do you expect to have it? Give us another date so we can come back and ask you again if you, the only customer on bitcointalk, have recieved the scrypt miner.

This is the 250Mh one you ordered in March 2014, 7 months ago for somewhere between $8-12K but only paid 35%?

As good a resource as BCT is, it is just as important to expose these companies on other social media like facebook or twitter. twitter being easier. The crypto press does not always have the resources to check out these forums or vet things. And in general, press is more about sensationalism and splash before facts, marketing basically. It is more important to get the word outside this forum of all of these scam companies and their "CEOs" so the world is aware of them. Shaming them on the biggest social networks will be the best way to begin to stop these scams. BFL only succeeded for so long because the complaints were restricted ONLY to this forum and their own. It took massive amounts of complaints from people to eventually get the government to actually take action.

We need to step up OUR game if we want to stop scammers like these. They produce no product, take your money, then vanish. The scammers are certainly stepping up theirs.

No proof but others likley do. I am invested in exposing ANY ASIC manufacturer now, I have been burned twice. And I do mine. After all that I found the manufacturer of my choice to buy from. Too many of these sellvertisements that advertise vaporware. We should not be investing in their R&D, that is a HUGE risk on the consumer. Any honest business will take on that risk themselves.

Is there a product to show? Video? Proof? So far ALL of the hallmarks of a scam are right here true to form. Post up details....show proof. cgminer, video of the miner actually hashing and connected to a monitor....show the UI. Since you are willing to hawk your wares on here, at least make the effort to prove it exists.

Did my comment scare you? I know how you marketing guys work. What trusted members in this community have a sample device to show this miner is real?

Fact is anyone using the whole "are you invested" line is just trying to divert attention from the topic, the burden of PROOF is on the supposed manufacturer to prove
A: They are an actual business entity with a physical address
B: A viable product
C: Proof of such product in detailed technical videos, white papers and
D: Community exposure. There MUST be review units. This happens even in established industries. nvidia and AMD ship their latest graphics hardware to reviewers a month in advance at times. This works both as a marketing tool AND a credibility tool. People know what they are getting ahead of time.
E: Delivery of product under said timeline (underpromise OVERdeliver is always good)

Most of the scams that come on here usually pull the same shit. Announce, get hype but no substance, get a few people to pay them with a shill or sock puppet to attempt to establish credibility, then run away with the money. This looks to be no different.

For such a press splash and all the hype, where is the hardware? where are the samples? Who has one? Has it even been spotted at ANY trade show event by anyone other than the manufacturer? These are all critical questions and marketing aspects that are important to establish credibility. No one should ever feel comfortable parting with their money until they have done the homework, considering the sums of money being paid for the hardware. Again this comes from lessons learned and hard experience. I made the mistake 2x. Once with BFL and again with AMT. So I learned my lesson and learned.

The burden of proof is on Mining Asics Technologoes (umm wtf is up with the Technologoes part?) not on me to state whether i am invested or not. I will be invested ONCE there is proof and it meets my needs. I am a VERY invested miner. I do buy from a manufacturer that has earned my trust because they have been consistent. Can you prove you will do the same? Remember talk is cheap. Prove you got something show it in the form of proof.

Unfortunately judging by the comments on Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/mining.asics.technologies) quite a few people have purchased physical units or hosted miners...

As far as I can tell, people have been asking for refunds and MAT has been telling people they will receive a refund but so far no one seems to have actually been refunded.

And this is part of the problem. Alot of these scams are taking it to the broader social media communities to perpetrate the scams. bct while relevant to the serious miner, not something the newbie or prospective miner is looking at. AND if they look they see what at first glance appears like alot of flaming and trolling. Not that it doesnt happen, but it does make a difference in perception.

For those serious enough about exposing these types of things its important to get out there to the social media world and call them out there too.

The Alcheminer-MAT Game in greater detail:
MAT agreed with alcheminer to a joint production venture with the figure something around 2M $ for the development. It was a shared deal 50% - 50%. But MAT does not have any rights in the IP (asic chip design). For the 2M $ there are included 50K Asic Chips with own MAT Logo - that's why the alcheminer chip and MAT chip are identical. The chip is the same as the Alcheminer Chip! With 50K Chips you can make 195 miners, each with 256 asics inside, but of course still there are additional costs for the whole miner manufacturing, case, boards, software, controller board... of about over 800$ each.

But now the latest news:
MAT doesn't even have the 2M$, so MAT received around the end of September only 10K chips. Nothing more - because all money from preorders was invested only in the development of the asics, not in the miners itself.

Now after the GAW miner deal, MAT had some money to pay for the last 40K asics and to the manufacturer of the miners. Thats why MAT still doesn't have miners... because MAT shipped all miners to GAW (Marshall Long as commission for the GAW deal), another cloudmining company, and 3 or 4 customers.

To ship or make refunds for all customers MAT needs to raise more than 1,3M$. But the margins of selling the miners now are too low to make a profit of 1,3M$.
