Title: Bitcoin Kamikaze
Post by: someguy123 on January 25, 2012, 10:18:32 PM
How much have you guys lost to Bitcoin Kamikaze (http://goo.gl/Jsbo0) so far?
I started out with a 0.5 deposit... going up from 0.05 bets at a time, jumped to 0.25 at a time and eventually got to 3BTC, thought I was a smart-ass and tried 0.5 at a time and then lost it all.
I threw in another two 0.5 deposits... both ended with terrible luck...mostly losses...
So that's 1.5BTC loss from me so far...I wish I took that 3BTC when I had the chance o_O...

Zero.  Who ever has this up is probably making 18% on average - easy money.

Simple calculation shows the maximum payoff (96%) is after one round.
Round 6 is worst paying at only 78.6%

1/(0.8^rounds) / reward

Pretty sure it says "Referal link SPAM" Meaning if I'm shoving it everywhere in hopes of grabbing someone, but no, this isn't really spamming the link.

hoster changed something, and $_SERVER['REMOTE_ADDR'] now returns the ip address of a webserver, not a visitor.
I changed it to $_SERVER['HTTP_X_REAL_IP'], now it works.

Vitsum is working on it.

don't do it, you will lose.

no one wins,
the script switches at times to zero probability of winning.

don't even try to prove me wrong, the only way to win is to break his code.

the script switches at times to zero probability of winning.

Please explain. He show us the MD5 hash of the solution before the start and the proof at the end of the game. How can he change the mine position during the game?

Exactly... though it seems when I play free play, I get to *5 every time, but when I go for 0.01BTC or 0.05, I usually get a really good chance of losing on my first go o_O. e.g. I click block 3 for start, I die. So I try block 4, I die, I go back to block 3, I die again. Had that happen several times...which is why I've lost like 2BTC to it so far...

does the md5 of the data string match the md5 you were given at the start of the game? if so, you can't argue anything. The results were already determined before you started the game.

Does this work for anyone?  I sent 0.1 btc that has not shown up yet on my balance. The transaction has 11 confirmations, while supposedly one should have been enough.

You have to refresh the page to see your balance after the required number of confirmations.

I already did that often (even different browsers, so caching should not be an issue), but it still shows 0 balance.

I believe I did these calculations correctly.  So if you are going to play you should lose your money more slowly if you just play the first step only:

Code:
Steps  Should Pay   Pays  Difference   Rake %
    1  1.25          1.2  0.05          4.00%
    2  1.5625        1.4  0.1625       10.40%
    3  1.953125      1.6  0.353125     18.08%
    4  2.44140625    2.0  0.44140625   18.08%
    5  3.051757813   2.5  0.551757812  18.08%
    6  3.814697266   3.0  0.814697266  21.36%
    7  4.768371582   4.0  0.768371582  16.11%
    8  5.960464478   5.0  0.960464478  16.11%

Looks like the expanded version of the formula I posted.  Great how games of chance differ from games of skill.
