Which consoles do you prefer?  Xbox One with the kinect sensor or the PS4? 

I heard Xbox One console with the kinect sensor is pretty cool especially with voice commands but heard there were some known issues with the console.  It seems like the PS4 has sold more than the Xbox One. 

What do you prefer?

I don't own any console but if a had to choose I would defiantly go with the PS4. Microsoft did not convinced with the reveal of the Xbox, I've also heard that the Xbox 360 had more reliability issues than PS3.

PS4 for sure xbox is fading a bit behind..

Why choose lesser evil when you already have a PC? But if I have to for some reason chose one of consoles it would be PS4. I would rather not trust Microsoft.

Definitely ps4, just compare its specs with that of the xbox one ::) Plus ps has a larger gaming community compared to that of the xbox.

If u like more to feel like your on PC take XBOX one but if u want to play console then definitely pick PS4.

I haven't owned a console since the Megadrive/Genesis.  Consoles these days just don't have enough games that would appeal to me to make it worth the purchase price.  This list (http://uk.ign.com/wikis/xbox-one/PS4_Games_vs_Xbox_One_Games) is probably a little outdated, but it looks like the PS4 would have a slight edge for my (admittedly weird) taste in games.   Of the few I would be interested in playing, most of them appear in the middle column.  Stuff like Watch Dogs and Star Wars: Battlefront 3 are available for both, but then PS4 also has Infamous Second Son, which looks like good fun.  I guess lately I'm more of a casual gamer, so open-world, sandbox-type games have a reasonable appeal, but even that would be short lived.

I would have always said Xbox over PS but was of reciently with the Xbox One, I would have to say PS4. (or pc :)

To Op and anyone else: If you really like games, if you are truly a gamer don't choose console, pick PC. This is what gaming is all about -  innovation! Only PC can offer you that.

I bought it day one. I had some buyers remorse because the xbox one has a cleaner interface and the share features are nicer. But side by side comparison the PS4 takes it on everything. I played fifa on both side by side and PS4 graphics dominate xbox one.

PS4 is the obvious winner. It's a more powerful, more streamlined console for gaming. XB1 is fine for those looking for a media box, but it's simply not as good a gaming console as PS4 is. I think multi-platform games have illustrated this quite well already

Multimedia part of Xbox is strong if you are in US, for the rest of the world not so important.

even though ps4 is preferred, it is still not as I expected as the next gen game console.

PS4 cheaper, has better hardware, better/more exclusives (as the best XBOne exclusives are on pc like titanfalls so I prefer playing that on pc)

and in this generation the only reason to buy a console is the exclusive games, because they are not that powerfull and they don't offer something revolutionary

Multimedia side of xbox is not existent if you live outside US, most services are unavailable i.e. Netflix. So buying xbox in other country than US is buying not complete product, since it will be never available outside US.

Also most of Xbox games has Region protection. Their console are also has many technical problems. I bought a day used XBOX 360, other day it stopped working because of "Red Ring of Death". >:(

Ps4 only because I feel like the control feels better then the xbox one and design, when gaming for hours.

Microsoft is nowhere near the quality of sony when it comes to consoles, definetly PS4

I was an Xbox 360 gamer all of last generation but without doubt the PS4 has definitely got more appeal this time around.

Judging by majority of comments here this generation is already won by Sony. Just like then when they were owning market with their Playstation 2 couple years ago. But PC is still on top of food chain. :)

a console can stay for several years and still playable. but PC no update for a year is not capable of playing major games.

In my PC a got GeForce 460OC. It is a graphics card from 2010. I am able to play 99% games on the market with no problems on high or medium details. And there is no game currently which is not playable with my PC. It means 30+ fps.

I've had both xbox and ps2 and found that xbox was the better system.. I had xbox 360 and ps3 and sold my ps3 rather quickly so going with past experience I decided to skip the ps4 and just get the xbox one. And I'm telling you right now , no regrets it is a awesome console.. And with the better exclusives out already and titanfall and halo 5 it's only gonna get better ! Playstation is suppose to be the "true gamers system" where are the exclusives?? Killzone?? No thanks and ya the playstation has more power but who's to even say that they are gonna take full advantage of that!

You need to wait a bit more before judging a console, it's not even a year since the consoles came out and you're saying the PS4 is not a true gamers system, I can clearly tell you're an xbox fanboy. Give the console at least two years so they can start to shine and then we'll see who is the clear winner. Look what happened last gen, and PS3 turned out to have the better exclusives than the 360.

This isn't a xbox fanboy thing dude. If you haven't played any of the gears of war,any of the Halo Series,and if you even haven't played Ninja Gaiden 2 on the Xbox systems you definitely missed out. To top it all off PS 3 had really crappy exclusive games. I'm not bashing the PS systems its just the fact that the PS systems seemed to have lost its edge with actually coming out with a good game. Titan Fall actually is a good game. Halo 5 with no doubt be a bad ass game... PS had its moment when it first came out and started dying out around the PS2 generation. PS 3 was OK and it had MORE power but sadly PS 3 wasn't taking advantage of it. Maybe PS4 can make up for it and come out with something good for me to buy it....Until then XBOX ONE is the way to go.Besides no body said you can't buy both systems... Trust me on this dude.

Please explain to me how the xbox was a better system than the PS2 it has nothing to it that could touch the PS2, games library, exclusives, market shares ect ect. the PS3 tho it was a bit different story, the PS3 launched one year after the Xbox360 with a ridiculous price tag and basically had no games and it was quite complex to develop games for it, but then again the Xbox360 was a nightmare with it RROD issues, but after 2008 the PS3 became again the best choice, not only it was superior in terms of hardware, the exclusives started raining as they used to be in the PS2 era, hence the reason they caught up and passed the xbox360 sales numbers despite the huge advantage MS has int he beginning and btw the PS3 to this day still getting exclusives. Sony learned from it mistakes from last generation and look his struggling this time around.

As for exclusives launching, Titanfall is not an exclusive since I have that on my pc and I can play it on a much better resolution and setting than on the 500$ XBOne and that's about the only "exclusive" worth mentioning that was launched on it as for Sony, Infamous second son already launched, and some of the best series are confirmed such as the last of us, or uncharted, GT ect ect. gaming =/= FPS, the best way to play FPS is on a pc (as all the titles you've mentioned are fps)

I would choose the PS4 any day just cause of the physical power that it has a lot more of than xboxone. But if I could choose a pc it would always be a pc.

You know what speaking of Exclusive games for Xbox One... Main Exclusive for XBOX is ''Halo'' and then other games shows up. Even now PS4 has more games (http://www.gamespot.com/forums/system-wars-314159282/ps4-has-more-games-than-xbox-one-about-twice-as-ma-31153969/) than XBOX One has.

Also on topic of the PS4 being 50% faster - it factually IS in regards to the GPU (1152 shaders on PS4, 768 on Xbox), PS4 has more raw computing performance with that advantage, and there is no way to spin it. The GDDR5 also gives PS4 a memory advantage. Microsoft partially makes up for it with the 32MB of eSRAM, but that is a cache/frame buffer. These are just SOME of the ways PS4's tech is superior. Not going to go into much more detail, but people should be aware that the PS4 and Xbox One are based on the same GPU architecture; PS4 just uses a higher end chip within that architecture. It's like buying a mid range PC graphics card, versus a high end one of the same series; they have big differences. Some other things that can benefit from PS4's extra power which we might see translate into better results in EVEN MULTIPLATFORM games is the possibility of better effects like SSAO, better AA, dynamic lighting, etc. For example, Driveclub uses realtime, dynamic lighting, and Forza does not.''

Ps4 only because of the games, controls, and you just dont have to pay for some bs subscription service like xboxone.

You also need to pay for PSN usage, which previously was free...

Maybe PS4, but with 'ONE' xbox have done a big quality jump..

wow! how can you manage your time playing both?

The Playstation 4 has a slight edge over Xbox One. It is much cheaper, has better RAM, and the playstation plus is way cheaper per year. Other than that they are almost the same console.

I have an Xbox but i would like to buy PS4 sometime.  :)

PC unless you are not too much of a gamer. In that case, a PS4 is better.
