Newbiecoin (NEWB) is a protocol, coin, and client used to run decentralized applications such as creating and backing decentralized crowdfunding projects , betting on dice rolls and other games in a decentralized casino, etc. The protocol is built on top of the Bitcoin blockchain. Coins were created by burning Bitcoins during a creative "Twin Proof of Burn" period.

There are two important features:
1.Newbiecoin Decentralized Crowdfunding Platform(NDCP)
Like other crowdfunding platforms such as  Kickstarter, NDCP will serve as a means for users to create projects and pledge funds to others. However, websites like Kickstarter can charge as much as 10% of a project’s total funds, making it harder for projects to successfully raise enough money. In NDCP , there is ZERO charge fee!

In many cases, centralized platforms impose restrictions on project creators that add to the burden of their task. Decentralization, on the other hand, empowers them to raise funds in a more proactive manner.

From a security perspective, NDCP protects users by not hosting private keys on any centralized server. This makes the platform a poor target for hackers or other exploiters.

Decentralized crowdfunding allows for more comprehensive vetting processes. In turn, this helps projects prove themselves to possible donors and increase their chances of success.

NDCP will support newbiecoin transactions and could lead to a reshaping of the peer-to-peer finance visio.

2.Change the inner unit of Newbiecoin from 0.00000001 to 0.0001 , while the display decimal on pages is 0.01  and the 3rd&4th decimal would be hidden, which would be better for reading and making transactions.
The displayed total amount of Newbiecoin  would be changed from  6,582.30800000 NEWB to 65,823,080.00 NEWB  and the displayed balance number of each Newbiecoin wallet would  multiply 10,000 too.
Like the BTC unit changed from "BTC" to "mBTC", this change only affect the dispaly number, not the total value and the history transactions.
Please note this change for buying/selling newbiecoin in future .

Newbiecoin is generated by TWIN-POB + POS .
TWIN-POB means "Twin channels Proof of Burn" . There are two destination BTC addresses, one is FUND and  another is DARKHOLE. You can send BTC to anyone of them and the returned NEWB is the same.
If you like Newbiecoin and would support the Newbiecoin team to improve it continuously, you can burn your BTC to FUND channel.
If you hate the risk of scam, you can also burn your BTC to DARKHOLE channel which means no scamer could stole the BTCs and disappear immediately.

Importing your btc addresses
=============================

If you are a first time user and would like to import your Bitcoin address into Newbiecoin, simply open the Newbiecoin software and go to the "Wallet" page. From there, you can import your private key in WIF format.

If you are using Blockchain.info, go to your Wallet, click on "Import / Export," click "Export Unencrypted," choose "Bitcoin-Qt Format," and copy the "priv" key.

NOTE: For security reason, we recommend to use the new BTC address which is generated in Newbiecoin wallet when you first open it. You can send a little BTC from your existed wallet to the new address, then you can burn it for Newbiecoin in Newbiecoin wallet.

Don't keep too much BTC in Newbiecoin wallet !!!

We agree with your opinions. Chancecoin is a great idea and we like it too.
So we created "Newbiecoin" which is modified from the Chancecoin  open source with new features such as TWIN-POB,POS,and new bet rule.
We had donated a few BTC to Chancecoin team for their great work  and  hope Newbiecoin would grow up with Chancecoin  together.

I just downloaded Newbiecoin and was disappointed to see that the "world cup betting" feature only allows users to bet on two teams: the winner and runner-up of the entire world up tournament. It looks like Newbiecoin is using a centralized feed fed by the developers to settle that bet - I'm not sure I would trust that and call that decentralized. Furthermore, the dice betting on Newbiecoin is reduced to only allowing users to bet on a 50/50 bet. The website newbiecoin.org (http://newbiecoin.org) is also almost exactly the same as chancecoin.com (http://chancecoin.com) website. Adopting the chancecoin protocol or codebase is one thing, but this is a gross and blatant act of plagiarism in my opinion.
 
Just my two cents - this whole world cup betting thing is way overblown. XCP has an implementation of world cup betting xbet.io (http://xbet.io) that functions and looks better than what Newbiecoin has in every way, but it had almost no positive effect on XCP valuation and no betting volume. You can't just make a coin with a main feature that works only for two weeks worth of world cup, does it just die after that?

Chancecoin is a great work and we like it too. We had donated a few BTC to Chancecoin team for their great work.
As you konw,Chancecoin is open source, java code and use the  MIT License which means as a programer you could deal in the software without restriction, including without limitation the rights to use, copy, modify, merge, publish, distribute, sublicense, and/or sell copies of the Software.  We are familiar with java , so we created "Newbiecoin" which is modified from the Chancecoin  open source with new features such as TWIN-POB,POS,and new bet rules.

The dice betting on Newbiecoin is reduced to only allowing users to bet on a 50/50 bet , because we think the bet rule in Chancecoin using NY lottery is a little complex for newbies. Maybe you like complex , but we, newbies, like simple.

In WorldCup Bet of newbiecoin , we only bet the champion and the second . It's simple too.  In fact, the champion and the second is a real trusted result  after the final over. Then a transaction with the real result would be broadcasted to bitcoin network from the house newbiecoin wallet, each wallet could confirm this . If there be a scam or error ,  anyone would found it at once and modify the open source to correct it.  Maybe this not a best solution,  but it is simple and realizable.  In fact , we had a complex solution for full decentralized at first . It's a better design but when we finish it, the worldcup2014 would be over.  :(   

Maybe Newbiecoin is still looks same to Chancecoin now and you don't like this , but we are insisting to develope new funtions for Newbiecoin which would make it different more and more.
Hope Newbiecoin would grow up with Chancecoin  together.

BTW: Newbiecoin is opensource and use MIT License same to Chancecoin. So anyone who like or unlike it  could modify it to create a new coin.

can I burn btc use blockchain.info?

As of now, you can burn BTC into NEWB using Newbiecoin wallet or any Bitcoin wallet such as blockchain.info by sending BTC to the burn address.  If you use any Bitcoin wallet software beside Newbiecoin wallet, The input must come from a single Bitcoin address. Be careful. It's very hard to get most wallets to send from a single input, even if you totally expect them to.

Be a suggestion for security, we recommend to use the new BTC address which is generated in Newbiecoin wallet when you first open it. You can send a little BTC from your existed wallet such as blockchain.info to the new address, then you can burn a small amount BTC for Newbiecoin in Newbiecoin wallet.

While the display unit be changed , the displayed total amount of Newbiecoin  would be changed from 6,582.30800000 NEWB to 6,582,308,000.00 NEWB  and the displayed balance  of each Newbiecoin wallet would  multiply 1,000,000 too.

Like the BTC unit changed from "BTC" to "mBTC", this change only affect the dispaly number, not the total value and the history transactions.
