Title: [FOR SALE] 24/7 6990 Miner
Post by: proudhon on April 21, 2011, 08:16:52 PM
Sadly, my wife really isn't too keen on this mining thing.  I've got a simple little 24/7 miner that I need to sell.  I'd like to sell the whole thing, which would include:

1 x HIS HD 6990 4GB (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814161366)
1 x AMD Athlon 64 x2 4200+
1 x WinFast socket 939 6150K8MA motherboard
4 x 1GB Patriot DDR RAM
1 x Antet EA-750 750W PSU (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817371026)
1 x Samsung 120GB HD  **The HD comes preloaded with a legitimate and activated copy of Windows 7 Ultimate x64, and I will provide you with the activation key in case you need to re-install windows**

I don't have a case for it.  The motherboard is small and it fits nicely on a desktop or shelf and the open air helps keep the 6990's temps down.  I will only ship to places in the continental US.  The 6990 and PSU will come in their original packaging.  Just unpack the components, plug em all in, boot up the machine, and start mining.  I get 614 Mhash/s without any overclocking.  I let the 6990 manage it's own fan speeds and in my house the 6990 does 614 Mhash/s at 76-78C.

To promote commerce in BTC I'll sell the whole lot for whatever the BTC equivalent to $850USD is.  That includes shipping.

The rig is no longer up for sale.

For $849USD I'll take your wife, and then you can keep mining.

/haha

Mining is cool and all, but I'd rather keep my wife.  ;D

Not exactly sure, but my guess is that it's around 450W.

Too bad you only ship in the US.

Good luck with the sale! I'm also very glad to see that you will accept bitcoins as payment!

Keep in mind that I'm basically giving Windows 7 Ultimate, the motherboard, the ram, the HD, and the CPU away for free.  The 6990 and PSU are pretty new and cost ~$800USD from Newegg right now.  The rest of the price basically covers shipping.  Anyone?

It's a pretty good deal dude. If I lived in the States I would get it just for the 6990 :) I don't see many 6990s for sale that can be bought with bitcoins so I think this is a good opportunity to grab a 6990 gaming card.
