Title: Underclocking 6870 Memory? Post by: humanage on February 08, 2012, 03:59:13 AM Anyone have the problem where they can't underclock 6870 memory? I'm having this in Afterburner, can't got lower than 575MHz, even with the unlock. :/ This just happened after re-installing Windows 7.

Post by: Stormaes on February 08, 2012, 04:33:48 AM Single 6870's mostly have no trouble... sometimes you need to under clock the memory and then shut down msi afterburner and start it again... I think you might also need to add some lines to the MSIAfterburner.conf file.
My personal experience with 6870s (I'm running a couple of them right now) is that if you have more than one, you will need to flash the bios and use linux. if you have a look at this topic I'm just about to add my report on doing so. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=62894.0 EDIT: looks like someone beat me to the punch. Regardless. the information is in that thread. Title: Re: Underclocking 6870 Memory? Post by: JamesSandwitch on February 08, 2012, 11:33:38 PM ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D Nice To See The Unrelated Post! Post by: RandyFolds on February 09, 2012, 12:32:26 AM I edited my config file with the amendments to the EULA, but was never able to get my MSI 6870s to underclock below 575.
