Title: Antminer S1 and windows 8.1 Post by: wbmillerkc on June 03, 2014, 06:24:08 PM Does anyone know of a setup guide for installing antminer s1's on Windows 8.1?
I found the guide for windows 7 here...https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=344970.0. But windows 8.1 is different. My problem is when I set the IP4V addreess I an supposed to select " obtain DNS automaticly" But that option is greyed out in win 8.1 and I can't select it. It wants to manually input an address for a DNS server which I have no idea what the address is. I've looked thru all of the properties, IPCONFIG etc. and can't come up with a server address to input. It's a windows thing... Can someone point me in the right direction? If you connect the Antminer directly just enter 127.0.0.1 as DNS. I bought 4 ants, so eventually my setup will be MOBO to router via wire, 4 ants via wired switch, to router wired. I've been told once I get to the ant setup console and assign it an IP, pool etc., then I can disconnect from the motherboard, set the hardware up as above, and everything should find each other. Use 8.8.8.8 it's google's DNS, it will work great, have a good one. |
