Is there an app for printing a paper wallet on one of these?

That is a pretty cool idea. It is amazing how small things are getting. I remember when my old dot matrix printer needed it's own table. My printer sits on my desk now and I still have plenty of room for my lamp and phone etc.

If I may suggest, why don't you create also a copy of the wallet ready for testnet so that people can try it out without risking any real coin and perhaps report back if something doesn't go quite right?

I've had a printer like this for about five years. Cost hardly anything. It's a nice idea but still has security considerations.

I understand why you think this is necessary, but I assure you the technology will quickly evolve to make such a cumbersome device obsolete.

Soon Bitcoin theft will become impossible. Did you know your heartbeat rhythm is as unique as your fingerprint?

In the near future, you will wear a bracelet that detects this rhythm and locks your wallet the moment the bracelet is removed. The device will also ask for your confirmation via smartphone anytime a transaction occurs.

Or perhaps it will be a google-glass type device that scans your retina for every transaction. Who knows?

What's certain is that the problem of crypto theft will soon be solved, because profit finds a way to be made, and solving that problem will be extremely lucrative indeed.

WHEN this happens, fear will be completely removed from the bitcoin space, and we will have a glorious outburst of economic activity in the bitcoin sphere.

Sure all these things are great, but if you always wait for something better, you will never get anything done.  Case in point, even the most rudimentary hardware wallets take years to design and bug hunt. And even then, they are too expensive to gain wide adoption. Meanwhile, let's find resourceful uses for existing technologies. In many countries, they don't wait to be able to afford just the right tool to get something done, they do what needs to be done with what they have. A printer like this has many possible uses and is available off the shelf at any photography store. Paper wallets are one of the most commonly used method of offline storage and arguably the most secure. There are many possible uses for paper wallets that have not yet been explored. It seems this is a perennial topic and yet everyone still focuses on pure electronic solutions rather than hybrid physical/electronic ones. Personally, I won't be satisfied that a wallet is truly secure until it is integrated into a brain chip, but that's just me.

To my knowledge there is no current option to print paper wallets on a pocket printer
That said I think someone will run with this idea soon enough
It comes in handy especially with one way ATM machines where you need paper wallets to get new people who don't have a Bitcoin QR code to load Bitcoins onto.

Has anyone done this yet? I see there are new Bluetooth pocket printers by Polaroid, LG and Canon.

I read somewhere that cellphones aren't good for address generation due to low availability of entropy.

Have you seen the mycelium entropy project?: https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/mycelium-entropy
It's supposed to work with all PIXMA printers, so you could just plug it in and print wallets.

Problem with using your heartbeat to access anything is that your heart rhythm changes as you age, and especially in cases of pathology. Could you imagine being 45, developing atrial fibrillation and then no longer being able to access your bitcoins? What if you develop an AV block, or go into transient a-fib after an alcohol binge?
