Title: Closed - [WTB] Old corsair 184pin DDR400 XMS memory
Post by: QuantumFoam on February 18, 2012, 10:53:52 PM
This is a long shot, but one of my old machines has this memory in it:

I am looking for another identical set of 2x512MB PC3200 (2-3-3-6) sticks to upgrade it to 2GB. Anyone have these laying around? They'd be manufactured in the 2003-2004 timeframe. Buying new would set me back some $45 as 184pin ram is priced high per MB when compared to DDR3 and it seems foolish putting that much into an old machine.

PM me reasonable offers if you happen to have these laying around and have decent selling rep. Will pay BTC or USD whichever is preferred.

Wouldn't it be easier just to get a matched pair off ebay?

I have some 184-pin stuff lying around, but not exactly what you are after.

I agree it probably would be, if I had an ebay account. I've never gotten around to making one, and many sellers won't accept bids from new accounts so it takes a while to build rep up to the point where your account has enough history.

Thanks, if nothing works out here I'll try creating an ebay account and/or see if those links have the exact memory I need (problem is they changed chip density sometime after 2004 and the higher density chip ones do not play well with the older versions - and most of the links don't specify chip density/mfg date).

How about DDR500 CL3-4-4-8?

I have 2x256MB if you're interested, used them with P4's in the past.

Created an ebay account, going to see if that works out, if not I'll open this again.
