Title: searching to buy consumer products with btc Post by: stergium on February 22, 2012, 09:42:20 AM Some people could say that my subject could be a bit misleading since english is not my native language but bare with me...
I was thinking the other day that i didn't want to exchange btc with usd/eur but i preffered to exchange them with hardware. So as a noob in electronics , but an enthousiast in anything that i've encounter , i would like to buy an arduino board or something similar with lan/wireless addons . Although the wiki site has a pretty long list of people and services i havent stumbled upon something similar (that is available now). Maybe i've missed something. The other part was that international shipping was a bit tricky . I happen to live in Greece. Some of the merchants are using shipping only inside US .... If anyone has info on a merchant that sells electronics in btc and uses international shipping , i would be very obliged for a reply or a pm. thank you for your time Title: Re: searching to buy consumer products with btc Post by: Stephen Gornick on February 22, 2012, 07:14:43 PM If anyone has info on a merchant that sells electronics in btc and uses international shipping , i would be very obliged for a reply or a pm. thank you for your time If you have a specific purchase in mind, you can always use the service provided by Bitcoin Agents - http://www.bitcoinagents.com For instance, to make a purchase from the U.S., choose a U.S. agent. You pay the agent, the agent places the order and ships to you (or re-ships to you if the site won't do international shipping). Although i didn't have something like this in mind ,a service like this makes things a lot easier. Title: Re: searching to buy consumer products with btc Post by: JohnBigheart on February 23, 2012, 05:54:26 PM The easiest way may be to buy gift cards for BTCs and spend the gift cards on tangible goods purchases.
Many international gift cards are traded here on the forums and most of them are coupon codes that can be sent over e-mails without actual shipment costs.
