I don't get it? Why didn't you do research on the site? And, why didn't you think of 'escrow.com' being a E-Mail for another currency?

In the past he has used @engineer.com or @contractor.com. Does he have an @escrow.com address now?

those addresses are options in mail.com -

http://www.mail.com

Not an anonymous service so may be able to get some i.p data if referred to the police.

He had used service.escrow@europe.com under the escrow.com guise and transaction number. I had overlooked it. My fault I know.

do you still have the email ?
if so, was it sent to your gmal or hotmail etc etc... post up the email headers, the scammer might of been dumb enough to use his own system to spoof the emails.. if you need help getting email headers let me know.. and by headers i mean the SMTP details (not the from, to, subject lol). gmail and hotmail both give you this info if you click on the write buttons..

and 9,5 :( that sucks balls.. your taking this alot btter than I would, but I guess not much you can do.. but ya let us know about email headers..

maybe we should post up a sticky on how to check email headers to verify if email looks to be spoofed or not.. to attempt to try prevemt this in the future ?

hmmm I suppose I could even do it....

This is not a helpful suggestion. Escrow.com had nothing to do with it and was not involved in any way with what happened.

If I spoofed an email from Bill Gates saying I'm giving you $5 million dollars, would you contact Bill Gates and see if he can help you?  ???

They might have scammers IP and that could be useful.

escrow.com would not be able to help you in anyway since email spoofing can be made by anyone just not throuh escrow.com email..

Could you show a screenshot of the offending fake escrow? I would be interested to see, along with a complete dump of the email, we can see where its coming from.
