Is there a quieter 120mm fan that can be swapped out and provide as much airflow?

I personally left the original fan's in as they work good. I do know people have replaced with quieter ones.

Have heard a few use quieter intake fans, and add exhaust fans in back helping airflow to help substitute for the original fans.

If they're the 4 blade models, anything under 130CFM will cause the boards to overheat and shut down. I learned that lesson myself.

Wow, is that 65cfm each or 130 each?  I'm not sure I can gain anything with that kind of air movement anyways.  Guess I'm going to have to load up at work.

Basically,

Swapped out the intake fans Corsair SP120's ~2300rpms and added two 140mm exhaust fans 1900rpm
temps are ~ 46-51c  in a 20c room. Left to run overnight.

What are your chip temps? I have two bgears PWM 120mm pushing 110CFM and a pair of 140mm bgears PWM pushing another 110CFM and it still gets hot in ambient above 75F to a point where it shuts off.

Time to upgrade.

Datacenters where this stuff belongs really unless you can tuck it away unnoticed to your wife. I had the same problem with FPGA's ahahah glad to see that women world wide won't stand for fan noise.

They don't know how to design.
They keep experimenting with parts.
Replace your thermal pads with thermal pads from Fujipoly, even the cheapest one will lower your temps.
They use thermal with less than 3 watt/mk and those thermal pads are too thick.

Take them to the garage and have in mind its quiter that other miners
Changing the fans will not do much good as there are not quite and powerfull together.
I have tried quiet computer fans but these suck air very slow its not for miners and specially
in the summer time that you need more cooling
I dont know where you are located
Taking your miners into a data center is a solution but in europe there are not cheep ones.

Most 120mm fan aren't noisy, how close are you to the dragon 1t?

Basically my System runs 30c warmer than the room temp. Make sure that you set all your fans to blow in
one direction.

Not sure how much space you have in the case or if this will fit, but it's worth quick measure and they works great.

Buy arctic cooling fans, keep in mid to have optimal CFM , and thats that, ull never have to worry about noise nor heat again.
they have awesome bearing and brushless fans, which means  they wont wore out nor produce almost any noise.
been using them for years, with 100% satisfaction :)

Should have seen the nest of wires I had going in the living room for a few months. Wife was not impressed.

I used to have ArticCooling fans, some good airflow, very quiet. Just look for the model for more rpms.

My wife once complained about the noise.... I said thats fine, ill shut it off when you make a list of all the money you spend in a month.  Ive never seen the list, and she doesnt complain about the noise anymore.

Just show her how much money the machine brings in a month. But be sure to subtract your electricity costs and...
