Title: Would anyone be interested in bitcoin webhosting?
Post by: joeyjoe on February 24, 2012, 03:04:51 AM
Im thinking of starting a simple webhost on a dedicated server I have.

Eg, $10 per 6 months hosting, with 500mb space, 2GB bandwidth.. ?

The idea is it will be totally automated, as soon as the funds are confirmed, the account would be setup.

And how do you plan to handle abuse ?
For 10$ you cant answer too many abuse reports per customer, well hardly 1.
And then there's the ones from your ISP/DC that you have to answer to keep your connection/server.

Not shooting it down, a basic web hosting service with BTC processing would be most welcome, but its not complex enough, so any reasonably competent sysadmin can copy the concept and maybe even at lower prices (After all a standard server in germany comes with 3TB of space and 16GB ram with almost unlimted bw for 100$/month)
