There are no other strings attached besides embedding and keeping the Bitcoin donation option on your website. You are free to do with the funds as you wish, just as you would with all your other donations. You can easily convert the bitcoins to fiat of which we would provide you all the assistance needed to do such. A better option does exist, one we hope you would take full advantage of. Surely, there are things you purchase every day, paid for with donated funds, albeit via your bank account. You can go now go shopping at a myriad of online stores and purchase some of those items you currently need around the office. If it's coffee products, I suggest bitbrew.com. Updating your computers, I suggest memorydealers.com. (I can easily make a longer list here, but opt to stop, for this is only a hypothetical situation, one of which I'm trying to drive a point home) I hope this reply answers your immediate questions and concerns. I don't know how I missed it, but I read the title of this thread as 100 BTC and not 100k bitcoins, hence my reply above. I truly thought this thread was in reference to Bitcoin 100, and kept scratching my head as I read each reply. Then I scratched through the scalp when I  read theymos's reply and went to bed. I swore that everyone was posting off topic but me. I now see that I'm the nutcase. Sorry about that, folks.

Now that I'm on the right page, allow me to offer up my suggestion. erowid.org could open up a manufacturing plant with their 100K windfall and start producing art glass.

That's actually (sadly) not a lot of money (nowadays you need at least $1.5mil USD to retire comfortably). I would keep at least half in Bitcoin in offline wallets, 40% in a Vanguard Total Stock Market mutual fund, and remaining 10% in a Bond Fund mutual fund, then only use the money if I really need it, saving it for retirement. Basically turn it into a giant emergency buffer fund / retirement savings. Using it to pay off loans and mortgages is stupid unless your loans and mortgage have 10+% interest.
