i noticed our rating doesn't show on boards where trust is not an issue i think it only shows in the marketplace.

i did business with you so i added you to my trust settings. need to know what other people see too.

fudge, i want everybody to see my 72 dammit.   >:(

i'm assuming other people have to add me to their trust settings to see what i see?

i don't like this system at all for so many reasons.

I only see it in your profile: 0: -0 / +1(1)

But after clicking on the trust link in your profile I see a lot of positive ratings from various members.

wow, you have many positive feedback, but it's from untrusted network
i add you in my trusted network and i can see  your trust : 72: -0 / +62(62)
it seems you must get positive feedback from user who listed in default trust network

can any mod confirm this? if somebody in the default trust list adds me to their trust list does the whole forum see my 72: -0 / +62(62)

No, Default trust depth is 2, so the average user would see

1. Default trust member>2. You

Someone who adds you directly would see

1. you>2. people on your list.

The point of the trust system is to control what feedback you see, and how you see others.

I see you as -1/+1(+1)

do people have to set their default trust level to 3 to see my trust or do people have to manually enter my user name to their trust list to see all my trust without clicking show un-trusted feedback?

In the first scenario, a default trust member adding you, yes one would need to have it at 3 to see it. Second scenario, no, level 2 would be sufficient.

Another scenario would be the people who have left you feedback to be added to a default trust members list, their feedback would then show up under the trusted, regardless of whether you are on the trust list or not.

i'm no dummy, but i'm still confused. this system seems overly / unnecessarily complicated   :-\

how does a member make it so all other members don't have to fuck with settings to see all the trust?

It seems complicated because you're trying to make the trust list do something it wasn't designed to do. If you could game the system into showing people the trust you want them to see, it would massively benefit scammers. At it's basic level, the trust list is basically this.

When you go to trade with someone, you would check their feedback first right? Naturally you would give more weight to some people's opinions than others, those are the people you would add to your trust list, which is basically a list of people whose feedback you value more than others. That's what the trust system does, it takes the feedback scores from the people on your list, and makes it pretty numbers that are easy to quantify at a glance.

Trying to control what other people see is counter to that, which is why it's confusing you.

I see you as 13: -1 / +14(14)

One of the people I put in my trust network left you positive trust which is why it's so high

i still don't like it. all my good trust should not been hidden and require extra steps such as click show un-trusted feedback to be seen. regardless of me and what i would like, i have come across many other traders that have a big fat zero under their name and it's only when i click show un-trusted feedback that i can see their long list of good trades.

how do i get aon the default trust list so people don't have to click show un-trusted feedback?

Warning: Trade with extreme caution!

Wouldn't help you in every case, though. I for example don't use default trust.

Make trades with someone who is on the default trust list. If they leave you positive trust, you'll show green to other people who only have DefaultTrust set

this is part of the problem. i have over $20,000 in good trades without escrow but some people are still seeing a fucking warning under my name cause fucking el cabron left me BS feedback even though he is a known troll who is accused of scamming and is currently banned. why the fuck is he in the default trust list and how do i get on it?

this system is so sloppy.

He's not in default trust, hasn't been for a long time. Akka even said in that post he doesn't use default anyway.

Me/him having the freedom to choose our own trust list isn't broken. You being able to control others trust list would be broken.

People don't trade based on one feedback alone.
