Title: Sinecoin [SINE] - Sinusoidal Cryptocurrency - MANDATORY UPDATE 0.10.0 Post by: sinecointeam on July 03, 2014, 09:07:05 PM Hard fork imminent - Upgrade to 0.10.0 On block 2768 (in ~48 hours) a hard fork will be implemented to fix the difficulty adjustment. Please update to 0.10.0 if you have not. The links in the "Downloads" section are current.Specifications Mining algorithm: Scrypt Adaptive-NBlock spacing: 5 minutes Total coins: ~60 million (59,883,150) 0.8% premine Block halving: Only the base reward halves, every 3 years Block reward varies along sine a sine wave (read below) Sinusoidal Block Rewards Sinecoin uses a novel approach to the problem of block rewards dropping too low to make mining worthwhile. Block rewards are calculated using a sine function, with an amplitude of 25, a period of 576 blocks (two days), and a base of 100. As a result, even as the base reward halves continually every 3 years, block rewards still vary by a predictable amount. There is always a 24-hour period of below-base rewards, followed by a 24-hour period of above-base rewards. Here's an image to illustrate: https://i.imgur.com/LdA9stA.png Instamine Correction There have been complications with the difficulty adjustment. They've resulted in many blocks being mined too soon. To make things more fair, we have decided to send 50,000 SINE (10.4% of the premine) to an address that nobody can access. Apparently it offers no doubts. It's dead already. SHITCOIN Post-Mortum: The "low low premine scam" Total Coins: 60,000,000 with that low low premine of 480000 SINE coins. Add that to the fact that blocks are also low low rewards and as miners are burning their houses down mining, the *devs* are waiting in the wings with almost half a million SHITCOINS to rain down from the heavens onto the exchanges in the off chance they get on one. The "I need a premine to further development, of what should already be developed scam" There seems to be a large disconnect in the crypt community between *devs* and *us* about what the word development means. To *devs* the word means something you may or may not do after you get your hands on the premine/instamine/scammine/IPO/Stability Funds/etc. To the rest of us the word means something that should have been done before the SHITCOIN launched. The *devs* are wrong and this IMHO is the cause of Altcoins failing at the 80-90 percent rate. Most of them can't even survive the first few minutes. The world doesn't need more *devs* and more SHITCOINS, but less. Could go on, but those two are the most important reason that SINE was an abortion. The *devs* aren't worried about anything except getting their hands on the ill gotten lootz. Everything else that happens is a result of that. Good this SHITCOIN is dead. Title: Re: Sinecoin [SINE] - Sinusoidal Cryptocurrency Post by: sinecointeam on July 05, 2014, 04:14:25 PM Does this actually offer anything except 0,8% premine and lots of doubts? We are aware of the skepticism needed in cryptocurrency. We've seen the same scams that you've seen happen, and you are rightly jaded. We must ultimately prove through our actions that we are not scammers. This will take time. In the meantime, we are open to constructive criticism. However, you seem to be venting more than anything.
