Title: Exchanging Marketplaces
Post by: speshlk on March 10, 2012, 09:34:13 PM
It seems as though Mt. Gox is becoming an authority in defining the value of Bitcoin.. With TradeHill down now, what services are similar and on a similar scale?

Have you no eyes?

Intersango.com, obviously. The best service of any exchange, and the fastest/cheapest deposits. We're #2 to MtGox only in USD.

disclosure, I'm Intersango's community manager.

Fair Enough, I'll admit I've been to the site before, and don't take this the wrong way - just as a suggestion, but was deterred by the orderbooks.

EDIT: In the sense that they're not very visual, heh.

Understandably the USD orderbook has grown a lot since TradeHill have closed, but we've got quite a few bots trading that don't place orders on the books, they snap up most offers inside the spread.

The spread is too large on intersango.

I just said that bots pick up orders that are in the spread.

Intersango, crytpoxchange, campbx seem to be the three big ones now. There's a couple other small ones but I haven't heard anything about them at all besides a random post here and there.

Why doesn't someone just point the poor guy at the info he needs? Is it a rule here that absolutely no one can be helpful on their first post in a thread?

https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Trade

http://bitcoincharts.com/markets/

OP: The wiki is seldom updated. You will need to dig around a bit to use that info effectively.

It’s slightly more helpful than:

"Have you no eyes?"

Hey! that quote is taken out of context, also it would be hilarious if it someone was screaming it. Sorry what were we talking about again?

Since I have access to you - have you completed the upgrades to V2 on GLBSE yet? I want to deposit again and buy but I wanted to wait until you’re completely finished.

I've just released the lasted development version for testing and a few bugs have been found.

Looking at what needs to be done for 2.0 to be ready

Deposit/withdrawal (which is essentially copied from GLBSE 1.0)

A little UI reorganisation

Bugfixes

Import data from GLBSE 1.0

Security/Penetration tests.

Launch.

So it feels like a long slog but we're really close, we're also really late

Thanks for the update. Will you be posting the launch here (I hope) or only on your forum? I’ve been watching the market charts on TyGrr fluctuate and wanted to get in on the action. I’m not sure what Goat is up to but I want to make some money off of him before he goes bust. Godspeed!

GLBSE2.0 launches this Monday.

I'm working pretty much non stop until then to get it running.
