One cannot send a bank transfer to a mujahid or suspected mujahid without the kafir governments ruling today immediately being aware. Perhaps, a few incredibly wealthy Muslims may find ways to avoid this system, especially ones in Arab countries, however the majority of Muslims are incapable of donating to those who need it most.

This is a serious escalation in the threat to bit coins existence. If the mudahagin talk of using the crypto currency to buy arms and supplies for their jihad or proclaim that the coinage will be the Islamic States first choice of currency then is just the pretext worldwide governments need to close down the bit coin servers.

Bit coin servers? Hello, paging Prof. Bitcorn! You seem to have misunderstood the topic and think it can be shutdown like Napster. This is bitcoin, the bit-torrent of currency and contracts. Shutting down the internet would be easier.

Something that the mainstream media diligently works to hide, not to mention they either ship them in on the house or send them covert bags of black budget cash to do so on their own. That said, the last thing we need right now is bad news relating to "those guys" over there using our stuff. Cause, God would the media love to spread this far and wide.

If I were a central banker I'd bribe every terrorist in the world to start using bitcoin and announce it to the world.

Does anyone think that this could be propaganda? Is the blog actually 100% a Jihadi website. I'm sure I read that they have been set up  before by people in western governments just to spread their agenda. Obviously the powers that be are worried about bitcoin and what better way to tarnish it than associating it with terrorism, drugs and peadophillia.

This will be a very bad news for BTC. This actually will push BTC to the "dark side" and will criminalise the BTC. This will cause additional restrictions, limited acceptance and gradual degradation.

We all knew this would happen eventually, I'm waiting for this to be spammed all over the news networks now and for political pundits everywhere calling for it to be banned. What I find ironic about all this is these are 'religious extremists' who are using a technology developed by mathematics which is something that almost openly defies their god at every turn, yet they're totally okay with using it if it helps them fund their activities, what a bunch of hypocrites.

A less extreme example are Christians who rant about the evils of technology yet you see them using an iphone or and ipad to post up their bullshit everywhere or are using an internet connection, which guess what, was developed by SCIENCE! >_<

How long until someone says we need to blacklist the jihad-coins?  Never mind that Euros, dollars, yen, and yuan have been used for years.

Don't blacklist anything, that would wreck the Bitcoin economy, it's not our fault a bunch of morons want to go and use it to fund terrorism.

This will get picked up by the media no doubt. Not sure how Mathematics defies their god though, unless you mean science in general defies god or religions. I don't really think extremist Muslims complain about technology that much either and I'm sure most will use whatever they have at their disposal to further their cause. After all Muslims tend to like firing their ak47s in the air quite often  :D. Maybe a handful of the extreme of extremist leaders might preach against technology being evil or whatnot, but we all know they're hypocrites anyway. Do you really think they follow their religion strictly 100%?

It might be just a conspiracy speculation of mass media. BTC became a fashionable item for the press.

This is a total non issue. Every so often a media outlet has to shake the tree and a few weak hands fall out. The jihadists still have to expose any bit coin they have to the banking system to exchange any meaningful amount for fiat. It could actually help counter terrorism organizations if the jihadists started sending tx across the block chain.

No I don't, it's precisely why I reject just about everything religions stand for, especially their gods.
