Title: Bitcoin graphics
Post by: skull88 on August 03, 2010, 11:21:06 AM
I believe in Bitcoin but I can't contribute to this project with reviewing or writing code, because I simply can't program.  ;)
So I simply do what I can, and that is spreading the word, and because a picture says more than thousand words, I made some graphics.

You can use them freely for whatever you want, ofcourse if you use them or like them, a donation is always welcome (1MifMqtqqwMMAbb6zr8u6qEzWqq3CQeGUr)  ;D

Because something that runs on Linux isn't fully complete without a fanmade Tux, I present to you the first Bitcoin Tux:

And for those who like userbars:

A euro style bitcoin:

Could I get this one in the same color, but with this coin (http://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=64.msg504#msg504)? I'll gladly donate ฿20, although it's probably worth more.

Shouldn't be a problem to make it with that coin, I will make it this evening :)

What does the symbology mean?   Why stars?  It isn't a national currency.  I think the design should highlight certain aspects of the system like 1 and 0s .

anyone wanna make a Bitcoin vehicle with Bitcoins as wheels?  http://nullvoid.org/bitcoin/cars.php (http://nullvoid.org/bitcoin/cars.php) <-- This may be a nice advertisement if a car dealer were to sell vehicles and accept Bitcoins as payment.

heh, the stars? to let it look like a coin? no real symbolic meaning in them.
But I like your idea of the 0's and 1's, could work, will give it a try later on.

Cool. Still not interested in buying electronics from the dummy writing site. Is it supposed to be functional or is it just a click farm? It is fairly attractive I guess.

Deleted the wrong folder on the server, my mistake, it's fixed now  ;D
I'll take a look at the topic   :)

By the way, Macho is right about the site, I'm still working on it and should become a real webshop in the near future. So no, the lorem ipsums are not for sale.  :D

Added another version of the coin, replaced the stars with 1 and 0's and I've used the B that's also in the standard logo.

Is the logo in the public domain?

Also, why is it in the off-topic section?

Awesome! Could you make them say "In cryptography we trust" instead  of "In bitcoin we trust?"

Thanks! I have added a bunch of variations that you can check out here: http://carbonism.deviantart.com/

If you have any other special requests let me know.

Is the logo in the public domain?

Bump.

Are these logos (especially skull88's ones) all in public domain, or otherwise ? If so, what is the license ?

There is nothing excellent in not being able to use a logo because of restrictive license...
So my question stands. Are these logotypes public domain or Creative Commons ?
