Only slightly related, Google is coming out with something like this at the end of the year, built in cam allowing altered vision (forgotten the term for this). What are you planning on using this for? note I don't have any, just curious, makes me think of Neuromancer. Completely digital with hdmi so no static, but I think the screens turns blue when there is no signal. You might wanna check it out if that isn't out of your price range.
