Doge looks like a survivor, but with Too Many Coins and No Limit Ever, it is hard to see the coin ever being worth much in terms of BTC. In short the Doge has had his day. Solutions: 1) merged mining - best or 2) Switch to POS like Blackcoin... ( note that with POS you need big amounts of coins online to keep higher security lvl from tis point of view best is merged minig and developer of Doge is not POS specialist ) to keep high security Doge Dev need act now not after accident IMO. Things will get worse with time, as far I can see.

Some people had a lot of fun with what was always supposed to be a coin for fun. Unfortunate to see some people lost their shirt on it, but to bet so heavily on a coin based on a joke is pretty insane.
